You are not responsible for other people's happiness, focus that energy on yourself
You are on this earth for a reason, you deserve to experience every beautiful thing this life has to offer
You're doing so well handling all the stuff life throws at you, I'm proud of you
Whatever happens, everything is going to be okay. You will get to live a beautiful life for yourself where you are happy, safe and loved even if it doesn't feel like it right now
Even if you are at your lowest right now and you feel like you are failing at every aspect of your life. Please remember that there is something that you're doing right now that your inner child finds amazing and always aspired to do. Seriously! Think through your day and I assure you there is something you did that your inner child would have thought was so cool. Something you they couldn't wait to do when they became an adult. You are never doing as bad as you think you are doing, you are still here, still able to create the life you want and deserve. And guess what? Still making your inner child proud if nothing else. If you ever feel that you can't go on, remember the spark of your inner child that is still within you, counting on you to make your/their dreams come true. Just relax, everything is falling into place.
A new year can sometimes feel like a lot of pressure to make big things happen! But you don’t have to make big plans or resolutions if you don’t want to! Live your life the way you want, and make changes at a pace and style that works for you! 💛
As we enter a new year, take a moment and consider the many reasons it’s good to be a thinking, feeling human being living on such a special planet.
Bats can hear shapes. Plants can eat light. Bees can dance maps. We can hold all these ideas at once and feel both heavy and weightless with the absurd beauty of it all.
By keeping a tray full of no prepare necessary food, in the fridge it can be used to aid neurodivergent or fatigued people.
By putting food like, cheese and crackers, or whatever is a safe food for you personally on the tray, it can be taken easily to the couch or bed to be eaten from whenever you are hungry.
This prevents executive dysfunction or fatigue and any reason preventing you from eating. You need to care of yourself because everyone needs food to stay alive including you.
You deserve to eat even when on a bad brain day and are unable to prepare a meal for yourself.
If not having a full meal doesn't satisfy you, a snack may even give you the energy to make a full meal afterwards!
in this new year I want you to be alright. I hope you move out. I hope you have enough money to feel safe. I hope you abandon shame and forgive yourself. I hope you get enough sleep and some good news. I hope you laugh a lot and the heaviness of the world eases a bit. I wish you to be alright.
*through gritted teeth* you are not a child taking a test with the purpose of getting the highest score, you are an adult trying new things and finding ways to enjoy your life, make mistakes, be a beginner, be mediocre, be where you need to be, be unlikeable, just. be.
it's okay if you get confused easily. it's okay if you forget things easily. it's okay if you lose track during conversation easily. it's okay if you have to ask for clarification often. it's okay if you struggle to parse information or sensory unit. you're not "playing dumb" or "doing it on purpose". it's okay to be disabled, some people just refuse to be accommodating.
that task you’ve been putting off? that chore you’ve been procrastinating? whatever responsibility it is that you’ve been ignoring, try this: set a timer and dedicate 15 minutes to doing it, and when the timer stops, so do you. you may not complete it in that time frame, and that’s totally okay, because now you’ve made some progress. and guess what? a small victory is still a win.
self isolating to cope is great until you look up one day and years have passed and you realise no one knew you when you were 18 or 19 or 20 or 21 and now they never will
