I’m assigninng Sniper Chariot and Engie Temperance. Sniper pulling the plot along would make sense imo, especially considering how important australia and new zealand are to TF2lore. Engie is a balanced man. It was either temperance or tower but i just don’t see him crumbling.
Now elements.
Naturally Heavy’s got all of them because he’s our wildcard using Fool. What his element would be is based on his initial persona.
Pyro gets fire (whodathought).
I’m giving Scout Nuke because of Bumbles McFumbles’ tf2 warcrimes video, where by his logic Scout has the most nuclear weapons.
Spy gets ice since he’s the only merc with an ice weapon as far as i could find in the Spy-cicle (not including mods).
Demo and Soldier need opposite elements. Since they are both connected to the wizard guy in the comics and Demo is quite literally cursed, i’m giving Demo curse and Soldier Bless (ironic).
As the smartest merc (11 phd’s) Engie gets Psychic.
Between Medic and Sniper, i find that Medic makes more sense for wind because of the Persona series Staple that initial healers use Wind element and because birds, leaving Sniper with electric.
What kind of theme should their personas fall under? (for example: p3 had greek mythology, p4 had japanese mythology and p5 had tricksters from literature).
What if the TF2 mercs were a persona party?
Let’s assign arcana to each merc first and go from there.
To begin, each wildcard saga persona party has 5 guaranteed arcana within them, those being: Fool, Magician, Lovers, Emperor and High Priestess. The fool is the MC, the Magician is the immature one (usually also the party perv), the lovers is the popular girl, the emperor is the dad friend and the priestess is the socially awkward girl. I will be taking liberties as none of the mercs are confirmed to be women. You’d think chariot is in here but aigis was changed from chariot to aeon so i can’t really call it a mainstay.
Magician is the easiest: Scout. Jeremy fits all the requirements, down to actually falling for one specific girl whom he can’t be with (miss pauling)
Emperor: Spy. Literally Scout’s dad.
Fool: Heavy. He’s the face of TF2. The mascot who recieved the most amount of attention outside the game’s community. He’d be the MC.
Lovers: Soldier. A quick google search shows that among players Soldier is the most popular class, making him the popular girl of the party (he also has a canon love interest in Heavy’s sister, which for a persona game can easily be shifted into soldier x heavy)
High Priestess: the most difficult one to pick but i’m going with Pyro. They seem the least social of the group, no further explenation needed.
Now we need to assign arcana to the remaining 4 mercs.
Medic: Devil. Look what else is medic gonna be? This man is such a devil he outdevilled the devil.
Demoman: his constant drunkenness and despair leads me to believe he is wasting his potential in life, which implies Fortune arcana for him.
I’m not certain about Sniper and Engie, so if you have any suggestions for their arcana please let me know.

P3 reload explained away one of my biggest issues with the handling of Koromaru. Making it explicit that Koro already has an evolved persona was fantastic. Yet another reason why p3r is peak.

Ok so like this one time in an among us lobby i had an absolutely unhinged conversation about what the female equivalent of having the balls for something would be, anatomy wise. We came to the conclusion that it was having the uterus for it. This absolutely should never have happened but like this also seems like exactly the type of conversation people would have on tumblr so people of tumblr who actually understand women’s anatomy what do you thhink?

I love Evenicle, and i love Asterisks Wives list
You got: Knight who everyone’s afraid of, troublemaker princess, random catgirl we found on the side of the road, a former presidential candidate, one of the highest ranking knights in the world, Asterisk’s neighbors, Asterisk’s drinking buddy, this storyteller girl and the reincarnation of god.
Love the varied walks of life that all ended up falling for this rule obsessed idiot

Replayed p4g in full. I will now list all my issues with p4 that i hope will get fixed should a remake happen. Spoilers ahead.
• The poor presentation of the red herrings
I’ve been vocal enough about how i think the red herring characters (Kubo and Namatame) are extremely poorly presented. They aren’t characters. They are just plot devices. If they got to have more character moments prior to their month they would have been great red herrings, but they don’t have those moments. It weakens Adachi’s twist. There’s precedent for this being fixed however, since they gave Takaya more moments in p3r.
•The dungeons
I really dislike the randomisation of every floor (except the exceptions, of course), every time you change floors part. Especially in Naoto’s dungeon, where going back to a previous floor is necessary to get to the end. If they at the very least do it p3r tartarus style, where they’re randomised per visist to the shadow world in general, i’ll be fine with it. I would prefer p5 style dungeons though.
• The lack of equipment being saved for NG+
Yeah you get to have the compendium, money and costumes, but not the equipment. I had a sword i got from beating the reaper that i just can’t bring into NG+ for some reason. Again, precedent for this being changed, seeing as how p3r lets you keep more from the previous playthrough than any persona game before it.
And yeah that’s it. Those are my most major issues with p4g that keep me from adoring it. I really love the way shuffle time works in p4 (it’s legitimately my favourite way of getting persona’s) and i think the cast is great (again, other than Kubo and Namatame’s poor presentation). I have no doubt that these three points would get adressed in a potential remake.

Anecdotal experience on why school systems are flawed: In the Netherlands it is required for you to get a swimming license if you want to swim without a life preserver. Many people would say that i’m an above avarage swimmer, even back then. (Not in a competition type swimming but just in pure ability to traverse water)
I was unable to get the first of the (at the time) 2 required licenses for 4 years and my mom had to give free tutorinng to a hire-up’s kid in order for me to finally succeed because I didn’t swim in exactly the way they wanted me to. I spend more time underwater than above it when swimming, but we needed to know how to do specific surface swimming techniques in order to get the license. I have not used these techniques since, because i’m still an aquatic mammal at heart.

I am going to rewrite my opinion on Adachi (it has shifted a tiny bit)
I no longer think he is a bad villain.
I do still think he is a bad twist villain.
It pretty much just comes down to how poorly p4 handled the red herrings. Kubo and Namatame barely get to be characters untill their dungeons. As a result, they fail as red herrings, meaning that Adachi, an otherwise pretty well set up twist, becomes completely obvious simply by him being the only main character who could possibly be the killer. A twist should at least feel surprising, yet on my first playthrough, i had already determined it was him by the Kanji dungeon, when his hints don’t truly start dropping untill around the Naoto dungeon.
If Kubo and Namatame got to be characters outside of their dungeons and like maybe a reference or cameo in the opening half hour, Adachi would have been significantly better as a twist. I really hope that if they remake p4, they do the same thing they did with Takaya in reload (at least compared to portable, i didn’t get to play FES so idk if they added those scenes there) and give the other villains more moments to be characters. It would greatly improve on p4’s whodunnit
