A huge part of the appeal of 911 is how real the characters feel. They're flawed. They make mistakes. They do and say things they regret and have to live with the consequences. They are nowhere close to perfect, and weirdly that's what makes the show perfect. It what makes them all so easy to love. Because for all of 911s insanity, all its outrageous rescue and disasters, at its heart is a show about flawed human beings living their lives, surviving, and finding happiness in the chaos.
