so, long story short- the last couple of months have really fucked me in the ass and i couldn’t bring myself to continue writing.

BUT! i’m feeling a lot better now, i’m getting support from my friends and family, and i think i’m in a good mindset to start back up again.

This was a mistake.

You just made a terrible, terrible mistake.

With the most gentle touch you could muster, your shaking fingers shut the door behind you. Even the 'click' of the door shutting had you flinching. This was the only barrier between you and him.

'There's no way he could have heard that, right?' You lied to yourself.

Somewhere deep in your consciousness, you knew that this was all pointless. You knew that running from him would only excite him even more. It's all about the chase. The predator hunting down it's prize.

And that prize happened to be you.

The room before you was filled to the brim with darkness, and you didn't dare attempt to look for a light switch. You pressed your quivering hand tightly to your mouth.

One wrong move, one wrong sound- and it was over.

With a deep breath, you strained your ears, listening for any signs that he was nearby.

You pressed your ear against the door. And that was your second mistake.

Before you could even blink, the door swung open.

You slumped to the ground with a gasp, catching sight of those familiar black shoes and grey hakama. You didn't want to look any higher; you already knew what was about to happen.

"Found you!" Tsukasa cheered.

He squatted down to your slouched form and reached out to twirl a lock of your hair between his fingers. "Oh, [Name]. You know that I'll never let you get this far away from me again, right?"

You just shut your eyes as tight as you could, refusing to acknowledge the tormentor in front of you.

That didn't sit well with him.

"Look at me. Let me see your eyes. [Name], look at me."

You bit your lip, the metallic taste of blood on your tongue.

"Open your eyes. Look at me. Why won't you look at me?" His cold hand roughly grabbed your chin, twisting your head to face him. Your eyes flew open, but you could hardly even see him from the tears blurring your vision.

This is fine. All you need is a little discipline. You'll learn to love him in no time. You did love him, right?

Tsukasa chuckled lightly, using his thumb to wipe the tears from your cheeks. "Aw, see? That wasn't so bad. Next time I won't be so gentle, okay?" His tone was bright, but there was no denying the threat laced within those words.

Those tears running down your face.. He couldn't tell if he liked them or not. As he traced a finger over your delicate features, he couldn't help but wonder why you were crying.

A part of him absolutely adored those doe-like, vulnerable eyes looking up at him. Yes, that was the look. He wants to see more of that. It made his dead heart beat faster than he ever imagined. He needs to see more of you.

So why were you so wary of him?

You know that he loves you. You know that he needs you. Couldn't you just accept his desires?

"[Name], don't make me the bad guy. I would hate to have to carve up your pretty face. You don't want that either, do you?" Tsukasa pressed, whispering in your ear.

That was a lie.

He wouldn't mind seeing you bleed for him. Not in the slightest.

His hair tickled your neck and you hated the shivers that ran down your spine. You hated how he could still have this effect on you.

"N-No.. I don't want that either.."

He beamed at you. "Great! We're on the same page!"

With a move that lacked any sort of gentleness, he stood up to his feet and brought you with him, trapping you close to his chest. Tsukasa closed his eyes with a small sigh and a smile on his face, gently rubbing his cheek against yours.

Finally, you were back in his arms. It didn't matter if you ran away one time or a thousand times. He would do anything to bring you back to him.

Anything.

You stood there frozen, unable to move an inch. His arms were locked around you, barely letting you even breathe.

"Don't ever leave me again. I'm not going to repeat myself, so just be a good girl for me, okay, [Name]?"

...You nodded silently.

that being said- his hot-blooded and aloof demeanor tends to attract trouble very easily

they call him the king of salt for a reason hehe

whether you like it or not, somehow you always get dragged into his fights when he’s about to throw hands with someone

you have to PHYSICALLY hold him back while you convince him that “it’s not worth it”

you worry about his emotions because even if “acts” like he wears his heart on his sleeve, he’s genuinely very fragile.

encouraging him to open up will probably be a patient process.

he trusts you a lot to even TALK about his emotions with you in the first place. please don’t break his heart :(

soft things aside‒

being his lover will never be boring. nope. not even once.

you like to joke with him about his impulsive nature, but you [not so] secretly adore him for it

midnight rendezvous are something you both eagerly look forward to.

of course, this involves you both trying to smother your giggles as you sneak through the barracks and out into the sleeping city

shinoa will tease you about your dark circles the next morning, cheekily implying “certain activities”...

but shhh.. only you and yuichiro know about your secret adventures :)

he acts like it’s such a pain to indulge in affection with you, but he is NOT a good liar. the most oblivious person on earth could tell that he’s absolutely smitten with you.

his kisses are quick and fleeting, but filled with a certain tenderness that leaves you with butterflies every time.

he’s a lot more relaxed in the early hours of the morning, or later hours of the night.

yuu is not much of a hand holder, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t like close contact with you (it’s quite the opposite)

he’ll deny it, but he really does have a lot of love in his heart. take care of it well <3

i guess you could say that opposites attract :)

you were always kind of a wallflower, never really hanging out in any particular social circle while instead choosing to mingle with people of all types

you happened to meet each other by chance when you caught him exorcising a minor spirit

“...what the hell-”

“you are not going to speak a word about this to anyone, OK?” he pressed.

teru should have known that he would be caught sooner or later, but little did he know that this small interaction would lead to the best decision of his life

during school, he would keep an eye on you to make sure you kept your promise

and while observing you, he found out that you were very… ‘honest’ with yourself..?

you didn’t seem to have any problem sleeping during class, or coming to school with a messy bed-head

and teru doesn’t even want to TALK about your organizational skills

your backpack was a pure black hole that sent shivers down his spine. we dont speak about it, got it?

he might not have realized it at the time, but slowly, he transitioned from “monitoring” you to actually looking out for you.

this would come in the form of making sure you never forgot to eat, encouraging you to maintain a healthy sleep schedule, etc.

if you didn’t eat breakfast, that’s easy. he already has an extra lunch waiting for you. maybe you’re coming late into class? he’ll send you a quick morning text in case you overslept.

and in return, you would help him find ways to get some of that stress out. sometimes he tends to bottle up his emotions as to not burden you, but together you figure out some ways to talk about it.

it was... genuinely refreshing.

your relaxed, chaotic-neutral demeanor helps him loosen up a little, yknow? it adds some spice to his life outside of academics and exorcism ;)

teru didn’t really feel the need to wear his care-free persona around you; he knows that he can allow himself to let his guard down, let his emotions out, etc.

it allows both of you guys to bond together, while at the same time helps relieve him of tension.

compared to the people who practically threw themselves at teru 24/7, you were a welcome change of pace

and it’s definitely safe to say that he wholeheartedly trusts you now :)

when your peers caught wind that teru was now dating someone, they weren’t malicious or anything, but they were definitely jealous

you had people who you didn’t even know the names of coming up to you in the middle of the day, telling you about how lucky you were to date ‘minamoto-senpai’

and you were just like “aight have a good day”

neither of you were worried about the stability of your relationship. loyalty won’t ever be a problem.

one of the great things about your chill attitude was how flexible you were with pda (or lack of pda, it varies)

sometimes if teru is feeling a little more on the elated side, he’ll randomly kiss your forehead and your cheek throughout the day, which will effectively have you blushing

(and he WILL make it a mission to make you blush)

your first kiss was actually initiated by you pulling him into a hidden corner of the school and swiftly placing a soft kiss on his lips

he’s in shock for a second before he pulls you back into him for a second.. or maybe a third..
