Cardiff short trip public transport and hosteling
A lovely short trip to Cardiff to stay in some modest accommodation and get around by public transport.
Trying out the rail replacement service at Cardiff Central. It was fairly smooth with a spacious coach put on. It took about three times as long despite going the most direct route. However there was a chance to take in the scenery and landscape of the rural parts of Wales.

Reselling clothes to delete, erase and remove unwanted memories
I've found reselling items a powerful way to find closure about upsetting or inconclusive memories. And including relationships where there wasn't a way to say goodbye either.
The film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, was influential when I grew up. I was in early adulthood. You can see the attraction of wanting to edit out and wipe over sources of disappointment and pain. Our lives do fall short of our expectations, or hopes. And sometimes we had placed too much expectation on one of our relationships, or a group of people.

I write a few thoughts on eating disorders which can develop in professions where long hours are commonplace #eating #cake #carers #careers #work #shiftworking
I want to write today about how the job as carer or nurse type roles, make it really difficult to plan your diet and provide yourself with proper nutrition. Typically shifts are twelve hours, and its simpler to have to staff to rota for every 24 hours of continuous care needed, than to make shifts more human.

Plastic bottle cash back was an idea which used incentives to help people into good recycling habits. I share my experiences of my own plastic use at work. #plasticrecycling #plasticpollution #climateaction #Cop26
I really wish the plastic bottle return scheme was implemented. There was talk of a scheme where you would get 25p or 50p for each plastic bottle returned.
My main barrier to plastic recycling at work is, no incentive to do so.
With so many other priorities for the day, and the need to keep shared areas clear of objects, mostly everything goes into one bin.
