just finished the episode, I am PISSED
Big question -
WTF MARVEL/FEIGE???WTF??????
And will the righteous ire of the Stephen Strange fandom be enough to change the ridiculous course that you have him on?
WTF Marvel/Feige??????
First, you gave his sequel to the antagonist while reducing Stephen to being lovesick rather than the strong freaking TITULAR character of his own supposed movie.
Then you completely reverse his character development from What If...? Season 1, turning him into exactly what MoM Reed Richards told 616 Stephen that he was.
It appears the only correct treatment & love and FREAKING ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF STEPHEN AS THE TRUE HERO THAT SUFFERED 1,500+ YEARS MISERY IN ORDER TO RESTORE THE 616 UNIVERSE IS GOING TO COME FROM...

The Great War- Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Robb Stark x Baratheon!OFC, Jon Snow x Handmaid!OFC
Summary: The royal party goes to Winterfell to arrange a marriage between the princess and the future Warden of the North.
Meag sat by her favorite tree, book in hand, as she and her handmaid, Bev, watched the King’s guard train on the grounds of the Red Keep. Her brother, Joffrey, was with them, though he could barely hold a sword to save his life. The King’s guard didn’t dare spar with the prince, for fear of invoking his wrath.
“I know that look,” Bev says, leaning against the tree. “You’re thinking too hard.”
“Do you ever just want to escape these grounds, even for just a day? I’ve barely been out of the Red Keep all my life, Bev.”
Joffrey starts towards the keep and sends a glare towards his sister’s maid, who he hated with a fiery passion. He stops a few feet from his sister.
“I don’t know if you’ve heard, but I’m to wed Lady Sansa Stark. Sister, you’ll be lucky if you wed Loras Tyrell. Except, I don’t think you’re his type.” He laughs at his own joke.
“Be quiet, Joffrey. You’re interrupting my reading.” She looks back down at her book and he grows angry.
“You can’t talk to your future king like that!”
“And you shouldn’t talk to your elder sister in such a way,” she retorts. “It’s not very regal, brother.”
He stomps off in a huff and Meag sets down her book.
“Say the word, my lady, and I’ll make sure that cunt doesn’t treat you in such a way again.”
“You’d risk treason for me, Bev? He’s to be your king.”
“I’m not loyal to the crown, especially not that fucking prince. I’m loyal to you, my lady.”
Meag smiled at that and the two of them sat by the tree for a moment of peace and quiet. This, however, was short-lived because Meag’s uncle, Jaime, walked up to them.
“Hello, my dearest niece,” he says, bowing in greeting.
“Uncle, it’s good to see you,” Meag replies. “By the looks of it, it seems these guards aren’t learning anything at all, and neither is my brother, it would seem.”
“Yes, I saw him stalking back into the palace,” Jaime says. “I was sent by your father to fetch you. He wants to see you in his study immediately.”
Meag rolls her eyes and stands, the grass staining the bottom of her skirt. She passes her book to Bev and follows Jaime into the Red Keep. He doesn’t say a thing as they walk along, which surprises her, as her uncle is usually very chatty. They finally reach her father’s study and she turns to Jaime, who gives her a solemn look before nodding to her to go in.
Meag knocks on the door before entering the study, where her father was pouring a cup of wine and his hand, Jon Arryn, stood to the side with a kind smile. She nods to Lord Arryn before taking the open seat across from her father.
He sets his cup down before eyeing the grass stains all over her dress.
“Have you been rolling in the yard again?” he asks with a chuckle.
“Just reading in the grass, father.”
“You’ve always got your head in the clouds. Seven Hells! You’re a Baratheon, and my daughter. My firstborn.”
“Mother would go berserk if I was fighting with the boys, father. Besides, southern ladies do not fight. They frolic and sew and run their households.”
“Have you ever seen your mother sew?” her father asks. He laughs again before taking another sip of his wine.
“Your grace, I believe there are certain matters we need to discuss,” Lord Arryn says.
“Of course, of course,” Her father replies. “Lord Arryn and I have discussed it, and we think it’s about time you be wed.”
“Wed? To whom?”
“We’ve gotten quite a few offers from all the great houses,” Jon Arryn says. “But your father has rejected most of them.”
“My friend Ned Stark, you remember him, right?”
Lord Stark had only visited King’s Landing a handful of times, and never with his family, except possibly his wife, Lady Catelyn. He was very stoic, though gentle and kind. Her father and Lord Arryn always talked fondly of him.
“Yes, father.”
“His eldest boy, Robb, is to be the Warden of the North and Lord of Winterfell. He’ll make a fine husband for her, won’t he, Jon?”
“Absolutely. With Ned as a father, the boy must be very honorable indeed.”
“When will this wedding occur?” Meag asks.
“We’re going to visit Winterfell in a few weeks to talk about the details with Ned and Cat.”
“Does mother know?”
“She does. She’s not too happy about it, but she understands.”
Despite what her father said, her mother did not understand.
-
Meag stood by her mother’s side, her hand maid stood a few steps behind the family. Tommen and Myrcella stood close to their elder sister, the young prince holding onto her arm shyly as they approached the Starks.
“Your grace.”
“Ned,” Robert replies with a chuckle. “You got fat.” They both laugh and Meag’s gaze wanders to the two girls. The elder sister looked excited to be there. She wore a pale blue dress and had her red hair done up in braids. The youngest seemed uncomfortable in her gray dress. She couldn’t be more than ten and one. Their brother, Robb Stark, walked up and tousled his youngest sister’s hair playfully. He had a stocky build, his brown hair fell in little wisps that met his ears. His eyes were the same piercing blue as his sister’s, as they both favorited the Tully side of their family. Arya, however, seemed to favor her father. The other boy joined them. His long hair was dark and curly. He was shorter than Robb and Lord Eddard, and he had a sword on his hip. He resembled Lord Eddard more than Robb did. He must be Jon Snow, the bastard.
Meag had nothing against bastards. Seven hells, her father had at least four bastards for every legitimate child he had.
Two little brown haired boys stood close to Jon Snow. They were the youngest Stark children, Brandon and Rickon.
Meag’s father reaches over and puts an arm around her, bringing her closer.
“This here is my pride and joy, Ned. My eldest.”
“Princess.” Lord Stark bows his head and Meag nods in greeting.
“Lord Stark. My father always speaks so highly of you.”
“And those are my others,” the king says, gesturing towards Joffrey, Tommen, and Myrcella. “My heir, Joffrey, my daughter Myrcella, and my youngest, Tommen. Now, introduce me to your brood, Ned.”
The red headed girl stood closest to her father and grabbed his arm.
“This is my oldest daughter, Sansa. Next to her is my oldest,Robb. Then there’s Arya, Bran and Rickon.”
The king stared down at the little brown haired girl for a second. It wasn’t long, but it was enough for Meag to notice. She turned and locked eyes with her mother, who clenched her fist in frustration.
“Yes, well come on, we best get to the crypt to pay our respects,” the king says, releasing Meag and walking away with Ned. The Stark and Baratheon children all looked at each other for a moment before Cersei headed inside with her guards, Myrcella, and Tommen.
Joffrey walked across to Sansa with a smirk on his face. The eldest Stark brothers sent twin glares in his direction as he began to gloat to Sansa.
Surprisingly enough, Joffrey offers his arm to Sansa and she takes it hesitantly as they walk off towards the godswood.
“My lady.”
Meag practically jumped back three feet when she realized Bev had materialized next to her.
“Bev, you startled me!”
“We should probably get you ready for the feast, my lady.”
“Oh, yes.” Meag turns back to the young wolves who were still standing there.
“I’ll see you at the feast, Robb. It was lovely to meet you.”
-
“Bev, must we attend the feast?” Meag asks.
“The Stark heir seems quite taken with you,” Bev says with a smirk.
“Robb? What do you mean?”
“Did you not see the way he looked at you when you two were introduced?”
“I don’t know a thing about him, Bev. I don’t want to be married off like some broodmare. I want to explore the world!”
Bev’s lip curls into a cheshire grin. “My lady, get your cloak and meet me at the training grounds. We are going out.”
“Going where, Bev?”
“To see the world!”
-
When Meag walked up to the training grounds, what she didn’t expect to see was her handmaid standing with a horse from the stables.
The horse she’d chosen was Saffron, the horse her father had given her for her fourteenth name day. Saffron had a reddish brown coat and mane. She was saddled and ready to leave the castle. Bev was feeding her a carrot as Meag walked up.
“My lady. I couldn’t take more than one horse without it seeming suspicious. I will walk, you should ride.”
“Nonsense, we can both fit on the saddle,” the princess replies. Meag took her friend’s hand as she mounted the horse, Bev following suit.
Bev sat in front, handling the reins. Saffron took off and Meag held onto her friend.
“Where are we going, Bev?”
“For a ride outside of Winterfell, my lady! Hang on!”
-
Robb stood on the edge of the crowd as everyone danced and ate. This feast was to commemorate his father taking the position as hand of the king, and his and Sansa’s engagements. Sansa was dancing with the weasley little prince and Arya was talking Ser Barristen’s ear off about the knights of old. Jon was outside with the direwolves talking to Lord Tyrion. Theon walked up to him.
“Shouldn’t you be off winning the heart of the fair princess?” Theon asks teasingly.
Robb sends him a glare. “She seems like a nice lass, but I don’t want to get married to someone I don’t know, Theon.”
“You’re the heir to Winterfell and the future Warden of the North,” Theon reminds him. “You really didn’t expect to be married off by your parents?”
“I just thought I might have more of a choice in who my bride might be. I don’t want a ditzy little princess as my lady of Winterfell.”
Theon shrugs. “Talk to her,” he suggests. “You might find you like her.”
Robb chuckles. “Who are you and what have you done with my perverse best friend?”
“And if she still doesn’t like you,” Theon says cheekily, putting an arm around his friend casually, “Maybe you could send her my way.”
Robb shoved his arm off. “Too far, Theon.” He stalks off out of the great hall in frustration, walking right past Jon and Lord Tyrion, the former shouting after him. Grey Wind was on his heels as he started towards the gods wood, where he might have a moment alone to think.
Just as he reached the weirwood tree, he heard voices further into the wood. Grey Wind’s ears perked up and Robb looked down at the wolf.
“What’s wrong?”
The direwolf runs into the woods and Robb curses under his breath before following Grey Wind into the forest.
When the direwolf finally stopped, they were in a clearing, and before them stood the princess, her hand maid, and horse. The princess was frolicking in the snow while the handmaid fed a carrot to the horse.
Robb looked down at Grey Wind, who was sniffing the air. The wolf started slowly towards the princess.
“Grey Wind!” Robb rushed through the trees after his wolf, which had walked up to the princess. She stopped and looked down at the direwolf before kneeling down to pet him. Grey Wind sat at her feet as she scratched behind his ears and Robb breathed a sigh of relief.
“You’re not scared of him?” he asks, stopping in front of her and Grey Wind.
“I love animals,” Meag replies. “They’re much better than most humans. Besides, he’s just a pup.”
“We found a litter of them a few days ago in the woods,” he says. “The mother had been killed by a stag. Father let us take the pups to the castle.”
“Your father seems like a great man,” Meag says. “Your family all seem very kind. That brings me much comfort.”
“Why aren’t you at the feast?” Robb asks. “Your parents sent the Hound to look for you.”
“I hate such gatherings,” Meag answers. “I am not the perfect princess my mother wishes I would be. I would rather spend all day in the library or the gardens than learning how to sew or dance or any of the more ladylike professions.”
“We have a massive library here,” Robb replies. “So many stories that you could get lost among the shelves.”
“I wanted to be a maester when I was younger, to study at the citadel,” Meag says. “But of course all maesters are men, and my mother wouldn’t let me study the art of the sciences.”
“I can ask Maester Luwin to teach you,” Robb suggests. “I’m sure he would love to have an enthusiastic student.”
“Oh thank you, Robb, truly.”
-
Meag held onto Robb’s arm as they took a walk through the grounds of Winterfell, Meag’s handmaid trailing them a few feet behind. Meag leans close to her betrothed’s ear.
“Your half-brother can’t seem to take his eyes off my handmaid.”
Robb turns to look at Jon, who was staring at the brunette. She stared right back at him, muttering something. Meag turns to her friend.
“He seems quite taken with you.”
“Don’t waste your time,” Robb chimes in. “He leaves tomorrow for the Watch.”
“That’s a pity,” Meag replies. “They could have been a fine match.”
-
Bev approached Jon Snow while his back was turned and he was slicing at the practice dummy with his sword.
“I think you got him,” she says. He turns and smiled sheepishly at her.
“You’re the princess’s maid.”
“I prefer friend. But yes.”
“Aye. How are you liking Winterfell, friend of the princess?” he asks, sheathing his sword again in its scabbard.
“The chill is refreshing, if I’m being honest. It is fucking hot down south.”
He chuckles. “Does your princess know you talk like that?”
“You should hear that mouth of hers,” Bev says, shaking her head. “She doesn’t show it, but when she’s angry, you should see it.”
“And you’re the more outspoken one, I take it?” They both laugh, and then, an awkward silence settles over them. Bev clears her throat.
“I’m a bastard too, you know. My mother was a kitchen maid, and she said my father was a knight in the Red Keep. I never knew him. A sickness took her last year, so I never got to find out who he was.”
“I never knew my mother either,” Jon replies. “Father promised he’d tell me about her when he comes back to visit. All I know is that she died giving birth to me.”
“We’re two of a kind, aren’t we, Jon Snow?”
“Achem.” Jon looks up behind her head, his eyes widening in surprise. Bev turns to face the knight that had approached. It was Ser Clegane, the Hound.
“Run along to your princess, little girl.” Bev nods, hurrying to find Meag and Robb, not catching the glare that the knight sends Jon Snow.
-
“And this is the old tower,” Robb says, gesturing to his left. “It’s run down, so we don’t use it anymore.”
“It appears your brother does,” Meag says with a chuckle, pointing towards Bran, who was climbing the tower.
“Bran!” Robb tells up to his brother. “Didn’t mother tell you not to climb?”
“I’m fine!” the boy calls back. “Go show the princess the library!”
“Oh, the library!” Meag exclaims.
“Then, let’s go, shall we?” Robb offers his arm to the princess, and just as they turn away from the tower, they hear a scream, and then a thud. Robb is the first to act.
“Bran!” he runs to his brother, who had just hit the ground hard. The princess starts towards them, until Bev rushes over.
“My lady! What happened?”
“Lord Brandon fell from the tower,” Meag says hurriedly. She looks up at the tower, and she can just make out a figure in the window, facing inside the tower. She swore it looked just like her uncle…

Stephen Strange x Stark!Reader
A/N: Thanks for all the lovely comments! Reply to be added to the taglist (it’s always open)!
You followed Stephen and Wong through the halls of Kamar-taj. You hadn’t been here the first time around, but you knew this part would play out much differently. The Ancient One was waiting when you arrived. The four of you were alone.
“I asked the other masters and students to give us some privacy,” she says. “Before we begin your training, I want you to tell me everything.”
“Do you want me to start the kettle?” Wong asks. “It’s a long story.”
“No need.” She conjures up a low table with cushions on the floor. On the table was a teapot, four teacups, already filled with tea.
“What’s in this?” you ask, picking up your cup.
“Herbal tea with a little honey,” Stephen answers immediately.
“You’re much different than the Strange I was supposed to meet,” the Ancient One observes.
“I could call you a wackjob if you’d like,” Stephen jokes, and the Ancient One chuckles.
She turns to you, taking a sip of her tea.
“Tell me about that moment, right before you awoke here.”
“My brother, he was dead. He had the stones—all six of them—on his left hand. Which I was holding. I thought for a moment, no, I wished for a moment that I could fix everything. And the stones answered.”
“Is the time stone calling to you right now?” she asks. Your gaze shifts to the amulet around her neck.
Your time comes soon, Stone Seeker.
“It warns me,” you say. “Ominous and vague as it is.”
“Where’s Mordo?” Stephen asks, suddenly changing the subject.
“He disappeared about a week ago,” the Ancient One says. “With no warning.”
“And Kaecilius has already stolen the pages from the Book of Cagliostro.”
“Great, so we have to worry about the Dormammu cultists AND Mordo?!”
“Not to mention the Avengers breakup,” you reply.
Wong chuckles. “As long as the Scarlet Witch does not cause an accident in Lagos, that can be avoided.”
“Can we change the timeline this much?” Stephen finally asks, directing his question to the Ancient One. She pauses, taking another sip of her tea.
“The time stone would not allow you to do anything to cause a paradox. Neither would the TVA.”
“What does the Tennessee Valley Authority have to do with this?” you ask.
“The Time Variance Authority,” she explains. “They exist outside our universe and make sure that it stays on the path of the sacred timeline.”
“Time cops,” Stephen says. “Great.. Another thing to worry about.”
“They would have stepped in already if it was not in the plans.”
“So, what do we do?” Wong asks.
“We defeat Dormammu and keep an eye on Mordo. If he knows where we are in the timeline, he might try to stop us,” Stephen says. “Ancient One, are you still gonna die after fighting Kaecilius?”
Your eyes widen as everyone looks to the woman, who wears a somber expression. “I still cannot see past that point in time, Stephen. I wish I could be there to help you on your journey.”
“We should also be worried about Mordo trying to kill us all before that even comes to pass,” Wong suggests, and Stephen and the Ancient One nod.
“Wow, that’s a lot of variables on your end,” you say. “Is there any way you could get us to space in the meantime?”
“Technically you could use a sling ring, but that does not guarantee you’ll end up on a planet with an oxygen-rich atmosphere. You would need to know exactly which planet you’re going to, and of course be able to find a ship just in case.”
“What about Asgard?” you ask. “Could you travel there with the ring?”
“Again, theoretically, yes. But that doesn’t mean they’ll let you into their realm. Especially if your lightning wielding friend is not there.”
“I have one more question,” you say. “If there were a stone that needed a sacrifice, is there another way we could obtain said stone?”
“You’re talking about the soul stone.”
“Yes. I would like my teammate to not die,” you reply.
“Unfortunately, I’m not the guardian of the stone. I cannot say for sure. I can only help you in regards to the time stone and Kamar-taj.”
“Thank you, Ancient One.”
“You may stay as long as you wish,” she says. “Maybe you could train in the mystic arts.”
“It might be a good idea,” you reply. “But I will need to be back in New York in two months.”
“An advanced course, then. I’m sure your boyfriend can help with that.”
-
The two of you were in the middle of training. Sparring was something you were used to, something you had done with Natasha every day in the compound, despite having your own suit made by Tony. But you had never sparred like this. And of course, you kept getting distracted by Stephen, who was wearing a sleeveless tunic.
“So, what is this Mordo guy’s deal? I saw that look you gave Wong.”
“What look?” he asks, feigning ignorance.
“Like you were panicking.”
“In the old timeline, Mordo was the one that brought me here. He helped us defeat Kaecilius, and then, he went rogue. He dedicated his life to ridding the world of sorcerers, to killing me.”
“So you’ve got two crazy guys trying to kill you,” you say.
“Two guys, one cosmic entity. You ready?”
“I think I’m ready,” you reply.
The two of you get into position to spar. “Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you,” he says with a smirk.
Stephen goes to strike, but you block his hit and kicks his legs out from under him, sending him to the ground and making him land on his back.
“What?” you say. “I didn’t say I was going easy on you.”
Stephen reaches out and grabs you, pulling you down to the ground with him. You land on top of him, your face inches from his. He pulls you closer for a kiss, and for a moment, you forgot about all your worries, about the impending doom looming on the horizon.
“I love you,” he says as he breaks from the kiss. “I really need to tell you that more often.”
“We need to get back to training, Stephy,” you reply. “And I love you too.”
“Stephen! Y/N!” You both looked up as Wong saw that you weren't, in fact, training. He’d taken on the position of the Ancient One’s right hand, a position you learned had belonged to Mordo.
“Sorry, Wong!” You call back, standing and offering a hand to Stephen, dusting yourself off after he stands as well.
“Ready for round 2?” you ask.
“Depends. Will round 3 be in our room?”
He flashes you that cheeky grin, and you can’t help but laugh.
“No promises, Stephy.”
Stephen steps back, getting into a sparring stance again as Wong and the Ancient One are training other students in the background. You count to three, then run at him with everything you’ve got. You could do this. You were given this chance for a reason. You would beat Thanos.

Savior of the Future- Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Chapter 2: The Stones
Stephen Strange x Stark! Reader
You held Stephen’s arm steady as the two of you rode the elevator in the compound. He would be staying here for the next week or so during his recovery, and then you would accompany him and Wong to Kamar-taj.
“Are you sure about coming with me? Kaecilius is already at large..” he says.
“I can handle a couple of culty wizards, babe,” you assure him.
The doors open to the compound’s common room, and you almost jump at the sight of everyone there. You had nearly forgotten. This was before Lagos, before Vienna, Germany, Siberia.. You needed to talk with Tony to come up with a plan to handle that.
Everyone stared as you led Stephen into the common room, but Tony jumped from his seat to greet the both of you.
“Hey, Doc, are you feeling better?” he asks, walking up and patting Stephen on the back.
“There’s still some nerve pain, but nothing I can’t handle,” Stephen replies. And that was true. The magic still coursed through his veins, helping speed up his recovery. He would be able to train much faster this time, and beating Dormammu would be a piece of cake.
“Tony, are you going to introduce us?” Tony met Steve’s gaze, and you could tell he was trying not to glare at the man.
“Capsicle, everyone, this is Y/N’s boyfriend,” Tony says. “He’s gonna stay here for a few days.”
“Let’s get you to bed,” you tell Stephen, and he nods, letting you guide him out of the room and down the hall to your bedroom.
“Something is strange about him,” Wanda says, her accent thicker than Tony remembered. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the accidental pun.
“Something funny, Mr. Stark?” Vision asks.
“No, everything’s fine. Bruce, you mind helping me and Y/N in the lab for a bit?”
-
You looked up from your workbench when Tony and Bruce entered the lab. Stephen had been left to rest in your bed with a few protests. You were 99% sure he was texting Wong.
“Okay, what’s going on?” Bruce asks, looking between you and Tony. “You guys have been weird all week, and suddenly you have a boyfriend, Y/N? This is all weird.”
“Bruce, do you believe in time travel?”
“If you’d asked me that about ten years ago, I would’ve said no. But now that we’ve fought with literal gods over cosmic stones, it seems like anything’s possible.”
“The stones are the key, Bruce,” you explain. “There’s a time stone. Currently in the possession of a delegation of sorcerers in Kathmandu. It sent us back here.”
“From where?”
“We’re from the year 2023,” you explain. “Something bad happened. Like the world ending bad, Bruce.”
“Who remembers?” he asks.
“Me, Tony, Stephen, and Stephen’s friend Wong,” you tick off on your fingers.
“The kid called me earlier too,” Tony says. You whip your head around.
“And you didn’t think to tell me? He’s your son!”
“You have a son?” Bruce exclaims.
“It’s complicated, but yes,” Tony replies.
“He in Queens?” You ask. Tony nods.
“Good. Maybe we shouldn’t get him involved this time around,” you say. You drop your tools as a realization hits you like a ton of bricks. “Bruce, you’re here.”
“Am I supposed to be somewhere else?”
You turn to Tony and his eyes widen in surprise. “You think the stones kept him here? If so, what happens to Thor?”
“What about Thor?” Bruce asks.
“Thor.. You’re a genius, Tony!” You walk over to the nearest whiteboard and pick up a marker to map out your plans.
“So, we already have two stones. Mind in Vision’s head, and Time at Kamar-taj. What we need is to figure out a way to get the stone out of Vision’s head safely, and Stephen will protect the time stone.”
“I think I see where you’re going with this,” Tony says.
“Thor has connections to two other stones, the tesseract, AKA the space stone,” you say. “And the aether, AKA the reality stone. The tesseract is on Asgard. And Thor and his Asgardian crew know where the reality stone is.”
“How many are there?” Bruce asks.
“There’s six,” Tony answers. “And we know how to get four of them right now.”
“And the other two?”
“Power and Soul,” you say, writing out the words on the board. “Both of which are out in space. Which means we somehow need to get in contact with the Guardians of the Galaxy.”
“The what?!” Bruce exclaims.
“It’s like the space version of us,” Tony says.
“Except not like us at all,” you finish. “Nebula knew where the soul stone was, and so did her sister, a member of the Guardians. And Remember what Rocket said, about the power stone?”
“Guardians took it to Xandar. What about the gauntlet?” Tony asks.
“His gauntlet is powerless without the stones. But we could get Thor to take us to its maker. They could make us a new one.”
“Y/N..”
“You are NOT wielding the infinity stones, Bubba. That reminds me, we need to talk to Fury, get him to ring Carol Danvers.”
“You think we should get Dr. Cho in on this for the mind stone?” Tony asks.
You consider it for a moment. “Maybe. I still think we need contact with Wakanda. Though I’m not sure how to get it without the Accords coming to pass.”
“We could still have the Accords with less death,” Tony suggests. “How do you think we could convince Cap?”
“By protecting Bucky. He’ll do anything for his best friend,” you reply. “I don’t know how we can stop Zemo, though. Lagos should be easier to take care of.”
“As long as Rumlow gets locked up, and Wanda doesn’t go on that mission,” Tony replies.
“I’ll go,” you offer. “No accidents. Rumlow gets incarcerated. Accords still happen with no fight in Siberia.”
“Already ahead of you. I reached out to the families of all the victims of Sokovia, offered my condolences and to pay for the funerals. Rhodey and I have a meeting with the US Military tomorrow to see if we can get in with the government before Ross gets his hands on the Accords.”
“We also need to bury the hatchet with Hank Pym. We might need his particles and we’ll probably need Scott’s help. And if we call up Scott directly, he’ll blindly follow us through this. We need Hank and his daughter’s expertise,” you say. “Maybe Jane too. Has Thor already broken up with her at this time? I don’t remember.”
“Thor and Jane broke up?” Bruce asks.
“Stephen’s going to bring on Wong and the Ancient One, as well as any other sorcerers he can recruit,” you tell Tony. “But he’s got to deal with Kaecilius and Dormammu first. And don’t forget we’ve got the Vulture in a few months.”
“Will Peter even ask her to the homecoming dance now?” Tony wonders.
“We need to have a talk with him about not messing up the timeline too much,” you reply. “We know he’s already gotten his powers. We can’t take him to Germany with us, Bubba, but we can help him with the Vulture.”
“Agreed,” Tony says. He turns to his friend. “Are you with us, Bruce?”
“To save the universe? Of course.”

Savior of the Future- Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: The Wish
Stephen Strange x Stark!Reader
A/N: Let me know if you wanna be added to the taglist!
It was over. you stood over Tony’s crumpled form. You had won, but at what cost?
Pepper held him as the arc reactor went out, and everyone began to kneel. A tear slipped down your cheek as you held your brother’s left hand—the one that held the gauntlet—as the light left his eyes.
I wish I could save him. I wish this could have never happened..
A desperate plea to whatever divine entity would listen, to save the brother who raised you, who was the only family you had left.
Your gaze traveled to meet Stephen’s, his blue eyes swimming with tears and the guilt of what he knew would happen, of what he couldn’t tell you so that he could save you.
The ground seemed to sway under your feet. You could see Stephen lurch forward to catch you, but something made you grip tighter onto your brother’s hand—onto the gauntlet.
And then your whole world went black.
You shot up in bed, breathing heavily. You were in your bedroom in the penthouse. It was dark.
You scanned the room for a moment before calling out for the AI.
“FRIDAY, what’s going on?”
“You appear to have had a bad dream. Shall I wake up Boss?”
“No, let him sleep,” she says. “What day is it?”
“It is February 3rd, 2016, 3:41 am.”
You have done it. Somehow, the stones had sent you back in time. Your brother was alive. But there was something about that date that unnerved you. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it.
“FRIDAY, do you have any info on the infinity stones?”
The AI pulls up files on the tesseract and the mind stone—which was currently still in Vision’s forehead. There was nothing on the other stones.
Your door creaked opened and Tony stood in the doorway.
“Muffin, is it really you?” he asks, a bit disoriented.
“Bubba? Do you remember?”
He nods, walking to the side of your bed and pulling you into a tight hug. Your brother—the man who raised you— was alive.
“What do you remember?” you ask, breaking from the hug as tears threatened to spill from your cheeks.
“I remember the wielding stones, and then.. Lights out.”
“You died. You were dead,” you tell him. “And now we’re back here?”
“How did we get back here?” he asks. “Did the stones..”
“It was me,” you answer. “I was holding your hand, the one that held the gauntlet, and I made a wish. I guess the stones answered it.”
“Miss Stark, you have a call from an unknown number,” FRIDAY interrupts.
“Stephen..” you mutter. “Answer it, FRI.”
“Y/N, it’s Wong.”
“Wong? You remember?” you ask.
“Yes. Stephen does as well, but.. Something happened when we appeared back here. You need to get to Metro-General Hospital as soon as possible.”
You and Tony exchanged worried looks before scrambling out of bed. If something happened to Stephen, you’d never forgive yourself for your final thoughts about him in the battle, the anger and hurt. He was your world.
-
You ran into the hospital room about twenty minutes later, Tony on your heels. Stephen was in bad shape, his arms were both raised above his head, held up in casts with at least eleven pins in his hands. The accident. This was the day of the accident. This was why that date sounded familiar.
Wong was nowhere to be seen, but Stephen looked up as you approached his bed.
“Stephy?”
“Sweetheart,” he choked out hoarsely. “You remember?”
You nod, taking the seat by his bed. “Why did the stones send us back to this time?” you ask.
“Why couldn’t they have sent us to a time when you were healed?”
“Wong and I have a theory about that. We think that the Ancient One might be able to help us.”
“How long did it take you to get to Kamar-taj?” you ask Stephen.
“A month or so. Right after I started my physical therapy.”
“Well, you’re coming to the compound until then, and I won’t take no for an answer, Stephen,” you tell him matter-of-factly.
“It’s best to listen to her, Doc,” Tony says. “She’ll get you to rest one way or the other.”
You turn to glare at him and Tony backs towards the door.
“I’ll give you lovebirds some space..” He walks out of the room, shutting the door behind him. You turn your attention to Stephen, who admittedly looked awful.
“Did you wake up here?” you ask. He nods.
“At least I didn’t wake up in that damn car..”
“I love you,” you tell him, reaching out to brush a couple of dark strands out of his face. “We’re gonna win this time, baby.”
Stephen’s gaze traveled to the doorway, and you looked up as Christine Palmer walked slowly into the room.
“I came to check on you,” she says. She looks between you and Stephen, and he remains silent as you glare at his ex.
“Do I know you?” she asks, turning her attention to you.
“I’m Y/N,” you tell her. “Stephen’s girlfriend.”
She furrowed her eyebrows and looked over to Stephen again, who didn't meet her gaze.
Christine wordlessly left the room and you turned back to Stephen.
“Wanna tell me what that was all about?”
He sighs. “I asked her to go to that conference with me yesterday.”
“So, now she thinks you were trying to cheat on me?” you reply with a chuckle. “My boyfriend, the player.”
“What are we going to do?” Stephen asks. “How are we going to stop him?”
“I have a few ideas,” you reply. “But right now, you need to rest. Though your mind is years ahead, your body just went through a car accident.”
After a bunch of pain meds from the nurses and some threatening on your end, Stephen finally went to sleep. You collapsed in the reclining chair in the corner, the beeping from the machines lulling you to sleep.
“Stone Seeker.” A booming voice called through the darkness.
You opened your eyes. You were in a void, but a figure appeared before you. A man—a being with a large bald head and blue robes floated in front of you.
“Who are you?” you ask.
“I am Uatu, the watcher. I am here to warn you.”
“I know, Thanos is already looking for the stones,” you reply.
“Thanos is a problem,” he says. “But other threats loom on the horizon. You have already set us on a different path.”
“How so?”
“I sense it in Doctor Strange’s mind. He plans not to give up the time stone, but to die for you if he has to.”
“He won’t have to,” you state. “We know where the stones are. We just need to get in contact with a few people.”
“Be warned, Stone Seeker. An unsavory character has returned to the past as well. One who seeks consequences for tampering with the space-time continuum. He will strike when you least expect it.”
Thanos?
“We will be ready.”
