It was one thing for the neighbors to be freaked out and spread rumors about a metal being or sentient technology running amock, it would be another to see it with one of your more recognizable neighbors running away in the night hand and hand. Did she go rogue? Was this some ploy by technology?

Still. It was best to get him out of sight before people can start putting pieces together on what he is. He could easily pass for a metal golem of some kind considering alot of people didn't know what a robot actually looked like. or what technology looked like to begin with. There was only so much one could get away with until people caught on.
