Dear Miraculous Fandom,

It is with heavy hearts that we come to you with some tragic news about one of our own fandom members, the wonderful, kind, talented @maerynn-blog.

Sadly, last week, we received word that Maerynn was involved in a car accident and tragically passed away.

Mae enriched the Miraculous fandom as an amazing writer. Her works included “A Beautiful Mistake”, “Both of You”, “Bring Me Home”, as well as various collabs such as “Under Lock and Key” with @edendaphne, “The Other You” with Totally Lucky ( @chocoluckchipz ), and “Broken” with @bbwoulfc.

Our hearts go out to her family during this terrible time. We ask you all to please be respectful. Questions pertaining to her unfinished stories and collaborations will be answered in due course, but now is not the time to be thinking of such things.

Instead, we ask you to remember her, join us in our grief and sorrow, but also celebrate the irreplaceable contributions she made to the fandom, and think fondly of the space she made in our hearts. For many of us, Mae wasn’t just a talented writer, she was also a true friend, someone who cried with us during bad times and laughed with us during good ones. She was always there, and the fandom doesn’t feel the same without her.

Below, feel free to offer your condolences or your favourite memories of Mae, or even quote your favourite part of her stories. We will do our best to pass on well wishes and love to her family.

We know many of you will be confused and devastated by this news, as we are. Out of respect, we will not be giving out any more information on her private life. Please be considerate, people cope with grief in various ways. Metro PD Close To You: Nomura NYC Sequel Spoiler-Free Review

I’d like to begin by saying that this is more of a rant than a review. I’m just so incredibly underwhelmed with this storyline, especially since it took such a long time to be released! 

The Characters: The reason why Nomura’s route has always been my favorite is because of how mature both the MC and Nomura are. I’ve always loved that about his route and it stayed consistent from the Main Storyline to Armed and Engaged. Sure, they go through character developments, but they never really lost sight of who they were and what they stood for... until NYC. I don’t even know who those characters were. Both of them took such a drastic 180 degree character change, that I felt like I was reading someone else’s route, NOT Nomura’s. The MC in Nomura’s route is my absolute favorite out of all characters’ routes, and everything I loved about her was nowhere to be seen in this story... All the character development from the previous storylines, GONE.  Also, there was a character in this storyline who I felt was a complete waste of screentime/dialogue. He contributed absolutely NOTHING to the story and the screen time could’ve been put to better use.

The Plot/Dialogue: God! For something that took a long time to be released, it’s like they didn’t even put any effort into this story. This sequel is NOWHERE near as good as the previous storylines! Everything was either predictable or underwhelming. Do you have any idea how much I cried and how my heart wrenched reading the Main Story up to Armed and Engaged?? They were so much better than watching a drama! For the most part, I just felt annoyed reading NYC, again because of how underwhelming it was. For 12 chapters, it honestly feel like it should’ve just been 5. The “angst” in this story did not make my heart wrench like in the previous stories. The cause was stupid, thus I just felt total annoyance. Another reason why I think they didn’t put much thought into this sequel is because of the dialogue. My 8-year old cousin can conjure up better dialogue than whoever wrote this story! Not only were there grammatical (and image) errors, but so much of the dialogue (especially by the secondary characters) were repetitive. Really, if I could, I would display screenshots, but it would be like posting the entire story and this post would be taken down. I would also like to mention that the jokes were cringe-y at best and not at all endearing like in the previous stories. Ugh.

*Phew* I’m glad I got that out!

Overall, I’m just so incredibly... disappointed. I waited SO long for this story, and I didn’t even hesitate to spend my money because I absolutely LOVED Nomura’s route up until now. It really did seem like there was hardly any effort in creating this NYC storyline, and if I could, I would definitely take my money back.

I’m pretty satisfied with my ship in the spoilers *w* YAY for Gajevy! BUT LOOK WHAT I NOTICED! Look at Gajeels suit!!!

Gajeel has never worn this suit before in the manga or the anime, but I have seen this before from a very popular gajevy artist that I’m pretty sure all of you know as rboz (and I think Mashima is a fan to ;))

:D ahhhhh I think Mashima liked the outfit so much he added it to the final chapter X3 plus Levy being pregnant has made my year!

Hope they add more details in the anime!
