“Hit Me [Cry]baby One More Time” is a creative compilation zine of some of the Devilman Crybaby fanart I made over the past year with drawings and experimental edits made from my drawings, as well as 10 pages of a yet-unposted Ryo/Akira comic. It’s available on Gumroad for $2 and the printed version is $8! It’s 20 pages total, black and white, and completely SFW.

DMCB means a lot to me, since around this time of year last year its brutal, tragic, yet also beautiful and edifying story inspired me to get out of a creative block and work on making more pen and ink artwork. I’m really glad for all the wonderful fans and fanartists I’ve had the opportunity to meet because of it, and this is kind of my own small tribute to it.

For @megamoth‘s  Ryo Asuka-themed fanzine, “Sympathy for the Devilman!” I based my illustration off Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi” since it has a very fitting theme of care for the environment and regret for things that can’t be undone that feels very appropriate to Ryo’s character, especially as he is portrayed in the original manga.
