Exciting News [!!]

Hi there loves! So I am still going to be on a hiatus since some pretty big changes have gone down in my life which I've waited until now to post here on my blog. I'M GOING TO BE A MOM! Me and my boyfriend are expecting our first together which means aside from work my focus will be on my health as well as the baby's and doctor's appointments.

Aside from this pretty amazing news, I am in the process of getting back into writing and hopefully before the year is up I can update some of my current fics.

I love you and miss you all! Hope you all have been doing well 💖💖💖

i saw @starryeyedgukk post this and just had to partake in it as well. not sure to tag so i’m just going to post my answers haha

Rules: Answer the questions then tag 20 people

1 - Name: only family, some friends and occasionally my boyfriend call me by my actual name. i’ve always been self conscious about my name so i chose not to go by it after i turned 14.

2 - Nickname: Shay

3 - Star Sign: Leo ( though people say I don’t act like one and that might be due to my moon sign being Scorpio)

4 - Gender: female

5 - Sexuality: heterosexual

6 - Favorite Color: anything pastel but pink is my go to

7 - Time Right Now: 9:35PM

8 - Average Hours of Sleep: it really depends, i sleep more on the weekends but i guess my avaerage would be about six hours.

9 - The Last Thing I Googled: “j hope daydream” i was looking to get outfit inspo for my Hobi fic

10 - Number of Blankets: i sleep on top of my comforter since i live in Texas so one usually does the trick until colder nights where i need two.

11 - Favorite Fictional Character: Hotaru (Sailor Saturn), Riku (KH), Roxas (KH), Robin (FE) and Chrom (FE)

12 - What are you wearing right now: the shirt i was wearing earlier to work and just a pair of pink shorts since i am going to be taking a shower right after i post this.

13 - Favorite Book: the most recent thing i’ve been reading and really enjoy is “paper hearts” by ali novak. she is a author i enjoy reading back from my wattpad days.

14 - Favorite Musician: BTS will always have my heart! I’ve also been enjoying a lot of N’UEST and ASTRO.

15 - Dream Job: it’s always been a dream of mine to become a published author. to one day be able to hold something in my hands that i have written. but writer’s block is such a pain at times. this dream of mine is something i’d like to accomplish in my lifetime.

17 - When did you create your account: April 15, 2018

18 - What do you post about: mostly BTS fanfiction, but also reblogs as my rambled thoughts from time to time.

19 - What made you get an account: at the time i needed an outlet since i was in a pretty dark place and also wanted to get back into writing thus my blog was created.

20 - When did your blog reach its peak - tbh i’m not sure how to answer this. i did notice that i saw an insane growth when i posted ‘insomnia’ which to this day will be my favorite thing i’ve written thus far.

21 - Do you get asks on a daily basis: no, but i’d like to! i’ve been attempting to become more social since all i ever do is work and sleep. i’d love to get to know and befriend more writers and army alike.

22 - Why did you choose your url: it’s simple...i love kim taehyung and i’m 3 years older than him which means he’d refer to me as 누나 (nuna). i decided to spell it as ‘noona’ though since it looked cuter to me like that.

...his head down, his cap being the first things you noticed, it being a vivid green color. The second thing you would notice is the bright yellow hoodie he wore underneath a khaki jacket. Tilting your head to the side, you couldn’t help but admire his sense of fashion. It was bright, as opposed to your typical wardrobe that consisted of darker colors, mostly black.

The green cap began to tilt its way upwards, him knowing of your presence now. Slowly his features began to show as a huge lump began to form in your throat while you two made eye contact.

Shit….

“Oh, it’s you!” his face beaming, his shiny teeth making its appearance. Your eyes widened more as you continued to gaze at him. Hoseok stood there before you. Something you worked so hard to make sure would never happen again.

And yet there he was, making the situation extremely awkward and frustrating.

I am probably going to get all kinds of hate for saying this… but after completing those drabble requests I just feel so over writing.

And it isn’t even the actual process of writing. That was the fun part. It is the way I always end up feeling used when I do drabble games and/ or any form of interactive writing.

I had a mound of requests come through. I’m talking like 30 in the first 15 minutes. It was actually overwhelming and I know it is my fault because I asked for them, but in a way I was so flattered that I had so many to choose from and so many people wanted to read my writing.

It seems though that people are so quick to respond to games like that and request content. They are so quick to beg for updates and ask for certain things. They want new content all the time to consume and are often overly persistent when requesting for it.

Even after going on my almost 6 month writing hiatus, I still get people asking for updates on my work despite me ignoring all these asks and repeatedly saying I won’t be updating them due to mental health issues.

When I do upload something, all I hear is crickets. I get very little feedback and/ or response to what has taken me time and effort to produce.

As a content creator I don’t want thousands of likes and followers. All I want is genuine engagement with what has taken me a lot to produce. I want validation that this thing I have shared with you (often at your request) was worth it, and I want to know your feelings on it.

I don’t care and have never cared about followers and likes. It is simply the lack of feedback that hurts too much. This is exactly why I stopped writing before - I was going to use this little game to see if my thoughts on the topic has changed. It is clear they haven’t.

Unfortunately I’m still just as burned out from all the rapid consumption without interaction. I am not going to sit here and beg for comments and thoughts on my work anymore. I’m just too tired for that.

I could have just slipped away and quietly gone back into a writing hiatus. I could have not said anything at all and just quietly stopped writing. I actually have no plans to continue writing after this drabble game…

But I know I am not the only fic writer who feels this way. I know I am not the only fic writer who feels that the effort gone in to their work is wasted. So I am here to say:

If y'all don’t start commenting and giving worth to what other authors do, there will be more who can’t be bothered sharing their work and will quit. If you read something, tell the author what you think. It is that simple.

This whole relationship needs to be reciprocal. It doesn’t work if you just ask for more. If you want writers to keep writing, tell them how much you like their content.

It is super simple stuff.
