Every part of HtN is the best part to reread With Context. But that moment at the very beginning of the book when she almost gets smothered, Gideon's "Good. Good." when she gets her attacker off of her has me curling into a ball on the floor. It just feels weighty to me. She's so fucking worried about her and she's not even trying to to mask it anymore.

#Even at the end of GtN we don't get that many moments of unmitigated concern because she's busy Doing Something About It yk?#I love the fight scenes in HtN so much because they're incredibly written and you get a helpless Gideon fussing over her and admiring her #She's so scared and she's so angry and she's so proud of what she can do at rock bottom and she's so relieved when she comes out on top #Gideon coming back and trying to keep her thumbs on in person is just the icing on the cake.
