Seemingly unpopular opinion - I really like piano version of Engel and don't like the current Rammlied intro. I prefer the MSG version a lot more. Thoughts?
oh, i'm never up to speed with what opinions are popular or not 😊 mine is probably even more unpopular: why not leave Engel off the setlist altogether 😄
Rammlied...

Madison Square garden (2010)
I'm undecided on this, i like the touch with the lift sequence in 2023, and i think there has been some cutting back on the pyro in general, but the 2010 version seems a bit more powerful musicwise as well...but then, maybe that's because 2010 is an officially published concert so the sound may have been improved a bit on that....maybe i should listen to a view more versions to decide 😇
Is it an unpopular opinion that i think Armee der Tristen in 2022 was a perfect starter? 🌺

A specialty hobby of mine (because I'm an old, old man) is finding and watching old news programs, because it's like rifling through newspaper archives at the library, but I'm on my butt at home. Finding and consuming news as it was reported contemporaneous to historical events of the 20th century offers an unparalleled clarity of perspective, if undoubted bias that the fortune of our progression as a society has made clear.
Ahead of Oppenheimer (which I'm very much excited to see) NBC News uploaded this hour and a half documentary produced and aired originally in 1965 entirely about the process behind the decision to use an atomic weapon against Japan. It's followed by a brief afterward with a historian who highlights a couple of topics not covered in the original production due to the intolerance and lack of any sort of care that was mid 60s America.
It's incredibly fascinating to watch, especially to see and listen to Oppenheimer himself speak about events. I think it's a great thing to watch and consider if you're heading to see the movie when it opens.

Thanks for the reply on Paul's outfit, we can agree to disagree ;) (I can't help but like the start of the mullet) I am afraid the white jacket looks too similar to his '67 one to be someone else's, but maybe you can still dream about the henley. In my head the white jacket was Paul's informal outfit for the day, and he changed into the baggy suit jacket - btw the same from AR's cover - for the photoshoot. Then changed back because it was too hot, or because someone took pity on him!
Ah, this is the good stuff. Answers to the important questions around their final photoshoot. I think you're probably correct about all of this. But, I'm choosing to ignore it, to imagine J&P sneaking off to get him some more clothes and all the weirdness that would ensue from that. The angst! The frustrations! The sexual tension! The memories!
But I do also need you to re-look at the sentence "I can't help but like the start of the mullet" and reconsider some of your life choices though...

I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them
People who are used to aloof Vulcans who avoid Humans at all cost running into one comforting a Human
“-and then they said my cheesecake was subpar, and they didn’t even bring a dish!!!”
“The purpose of this event was that every participant brings a food item of sorts, correct?”
“Yeah!!”
“And they did not follow this rule while insulting dishes that were brought?”
“Mostly just my dish but yeah >:(“
“How illogical”
“That’s what I’m saying!!!”

for anyone too young to know this: watching The Truman Show is a vastly different experience now, compared to how it was before youtube and social media influencers became normal
before it was like, "what a horrifying thing to do to a human being! to take away their autonomy and privacy, all for the sake of profits! to create fake scenarios for them to react to, just to retain viewership! to ruin their happiness just so some corporate entity could harvest money from their very humanity! how could anyone do something so evil?"
and now it's like, "ah, yeah. this is still deeply fucked up, but it's pretty much what every influencer has been doing to their kids for a decade now. probably bad that we've normalized this experience"

So, in my house today...
I just got back from the grocery store. My honey just got home from work (retail). He told me about his day, which was pretty bad because the general manager was being an asshole and certain customers were being even worse - and the water-main got screwed up because of things going on with a neighboring store. Meanwhile, I'm complaining about squealing children at the grocery store and the abundance of people there. I'm an introvert.
Me: "Too many humans, ugh, no more humans!"
Him: *Holds up a drink in a toast* "Here's to the demise of the human race."
Me: "Thank you, Millions Knives."
