yes we love a good enemies to lovers and i always eat that shit up like they bring a sort of tension and drama into every scene they’re in especially at that “im in love them but must keep it to myself” phase but… Spider and Amerie… are cute don’t get me wrong he clearly has feelings for her but unless he went through some DRASTIC change and a MAJOR redemption arc and Malakai somehow turned into a RED FLAG came to life there’s NO WAY Spider could ever deserve Amerie. Not only has he done nothing but belittle, humiliate and embarrass her ever since she rejected him. He felt absolutely no remorse for his actions and not to say he’s a bad character it just means he’s true to himself and doesn’t pretend to be someone he isn’t (like Dusty). Sure he had his moments where looked at her full of “longing” or wtv but in the grand scheme of things that’s nothing really. If he did suddenly changed for the better and became an actual candidate for Amerie, more than anything it’ll feel like fan service and would make the relationship look and feel inorganic.

I do want Malakai and Amerie to be given more than a chance in season 2 because they both DO deserve better. I swear if Darren hadn’t encouraged Amerie to forget about Malakai at the party they would’ve been something but alsoo him taking the time with Missy’s brother I felt was exactly what he needed at the time. Amerie was able to grow on her own and in a way fulfil that old dream of being with Dusty and inadvertently realise she deserves better because “you are the company you keep” and if Spider is awful then, he’s horrendous.

I am also an Ant apologist he just needs better friends but other than that i think he’s not as bad as the other two 🤮🤮
