Ezra's Gamble Notes Pt.1
Friends, I was not expecting the book 'Ezra's Gamble' to be such a goldmine of lore. 😭 I'm gonna need to talk about this in multiple posts.
What I've got so far:
-----SPOILERS------
First of all, the foreword: "For Alan Harris, who is a much nicer fellow than Bossk." Harris was Bossk's actor. ❤
The book takes place pre-Spark of Rebellion
We literally start the book with Ezra at the Lothal spaceport pickpocketing and finessing people out of their valuables.
He walks up to a rich-looking Chagrian wearing an Imperial pin and being followed by four blue Twi'leks and manages to sell him 5 tickets for a private booth at a gladiatorial cage match (that the Chagrian is implied to want to keep secret). Ezra finesses him out of 700 credits, then also steals his Imperial pin, his ring, wrist-comm and half his money pouch.
He winks at one of the Twi'leks and all of them giggle, one of them winks back at him. (He's 14)
He meets up with a Xexto named Ferpil Wallaway who is actually the one who taught Ezra how to steal!!
The cage-match ticket money gets sent to the commissioner, then Ferpil pays Ezra for his loot at the Pawn-shop he owns on Lothal.
Ezra gets flagged down by a red-haired friend (also 14) named Moreena Krai. Her family is leaving Lothal because Imperials condemned their farm and took it from them.
Y'all I was not ready when she said she was moving to Alderaan. 😭🥺
Moreena starts to get sad about Ezra being alone, Ezra cuts her off and says "Don't ever feel sad for me. I've always done just fine on my own, and I always will." BOY TELL THAT TO HERA. 💚
He briefly wonders if he'll ever get to steal a TIE pilot helmet. (Spoilers, he does lol)
Lore for Bossk: his ship 'Hound's Tooth' is a modified Corellian Engineering Corporation YV-666 freighter. He's employed by the Bounty Hunter Guild and his Imperial Peace-keeping Certificate number is #55946112.
Bossk was headed to Lothal searching for a Dug named Gronson "Shifty" Takkaro who was wanted for jumping bail in the Ahakista System.
Bossk picked up the bounty from the Imperial Enforcement DataCore.
Bossk's ship was scanned by the Imperial Spaceport and the official talking to him immediately transferred his call to ISB HQ. (He was on hold for 30 seconds.)
ISB Lieutenant Herdringer talks to him and tries to send Stormtroopers to arrest Shifty rather than let Bossk collect.
Bossk counters saying Herdringer would be interfering with the authorized acquisition of a government bounty. Herdringer realizes that would be bad for him.
Herdringer actually wants Bossk to not use firepower as Shifty is in a civilian sector. Bossk says okay, but still brings his Mortar gun. Bossk gets escorted to the spaceport by TIE fighters which Bossk thinks is WAY too conspicuous.
This random academy propaganda played on a speaker at the spaceport though: "You too can be a part of the Imperial family! Don't just dream about applying for the Academy, make it come true! You can find a career in space: Exploration, Starfleet, or Merchant Service. Choose from Navigation, Engineering, Space Medicine, Contact/Liason, and more! If you have the right stuff to take on the universe, and standardized examination scores that meet the requirements, dispatch your application to the Academy Screening Office, care of the Commandant (Aresko), and join the ranks of the proud!" ---(I wonder how Kallus felt about hearing that kind of stuff, I'm assuming his office was soundproofed, but he did still technically work in the same building as the school, and seemed used to having things delivered to him by cadets, im sure he heard it occasionally.)
Ezra knew what a Trandoshan was on sight. He tried sneaking up on Bossk's ship, but Bossk snuck up on him first.
Bossk appeared to be avoiding his stormtrooper escort and asked Ezra (who actually gave his real name!) Where the tavern he was looking for was.
He's very suspicious of Ezra and warns him against snooping in his ship and notices his weapon right away. "An energy slinghot. Cute."
Ezra tries to finagle 100 credits out of Bossk for information. Bossk says he doesn't have time to haggle and will give him 1000 credits for help. Ezra demands 500 up front and Bossk pays him. He also politely gives Ezra his name.
He only refers to Ezra as "Shorty" and insists that "to you, its MR. Bossk" lol.
--------
Will continue to take notes, this is fun!!

Another Mando Time Travel AU (I Don't Know What This Is This Started As A Totally Different AU We Don't Even Get To The Time Travel Till The End)
Tarre Vizsla's relatively peaceful afterlife is rudely disrupted by one Jaster Mereel. Now every time the Ka'ra meets, Jaster's always talking about his son.
It only gets worse after Galidraan, and honestly, Tarre can sympathize. He too would curse up a storm if his entire movement was slaughtered and his son sold into slavery. He actually did perform some of the more colorful acts of vengeance that Jaster describes, all those years ago when he was crude matter, and the Sith had kidnapped his padawan. It was part of what had made him leave the Order, once the Sith had been defeated. The shame of those moments of raw, unadulterated violence, the whispers in the halls that perhaps he was simply too Mandalorian...they had followed him since he was a babe in the creche, but towards the end they had grown in number and volume.
Then one day, Jaster starts cursing Jango's name. It honestly shocks Tarre enough that he breaks his most important rule: not engaging in conversation with Mand'alor the Ridiculously Loud. He's curious, sue him.
(Inside his head Tarre cannot help but chuckle, because his master had often said his curiosity would be the death of him. Now that Tarre was dead, would it be the life of him? He doesn't know. All he knows is his friend Fay would have groaned at that poor excuse for a joke.)
Turns out Jaster's son, his precious boy, his poor, brutalized child, has decided to help in a Sith plot that would see the Jedi destroyed, all for the low price of millions of enslaved sentients.
Tarre – who avoided looking at the affairs of the living after his descendants sacked Coruscant and stole the Darksaber from the Temple where he left it, turning his tool for peacekeeping into a weapon of war and giving the anti-Mando factions in the Senate all the ammunition they needed to unleash the Dral'Han – tunes back in. He's horrified by what he sees.
He can't help but watch as the Clone Wars wages through the galaxy, as Manda'yaim is subjugated by the Empire, as Mando'ade are so brainwashed by the Sith (and oh how it burns, that the ancient enemy managed to slip through their fingers all those years ago) and their propaganda that they build the very weapons the Empire turns on their fellow verde. His brief moment of jubilation at seeing the Mandalorian rebellion nearly succeed is crushed by the Night of a Thousand Tears.
It's horrible, and made even worse by the realization that out there in the darkest edges of the galaxy, hidden away like the spider-roaches they are, the Sith survive. They had devastated his people, both his peoples, and they had survived with plans to do it all over again.
The Ka'ra meets more frequently now than anytime in Tarre's memory since the Dral'Han. Or the first Dral'Han, he supposes.
Things had gone so wrong, the Manda was full of souls who had lived too-short lives and the Force was constantly screaming in pain. Mandalore, Geonosis, Alderaan, Serenno, all were devastated by an ill-tempered madman high on the pain he caused and his army of sycophants. That much needless, senseless death leaves lasting scars on the fabric of the galaxy.
"If we could go back and fix it all..." It's Mandalore the Binder who says it. Harswee's greatest native son had been silent since the burning of his homeworld's fields. Where once there had been herds of wooly-nerfs and banthas grazing without care, now there was only blackened ash. To hear him speak now in that rumbling, gravely drawl of his...they cannot help but all pay attention.
It's a simple statement, one that most of their number had been thinking, but never said aloud. What was the use in longing for the impossible?
But then, Tarre thinks, is it really so impossible?
Tarre's curiosity would be the death of him, his old master used to declare, before indulging his inquisitive padawan's bad habits. Sometimes, such indulgences led to Tarre and his dearest friend exploring long abandoned Temples with little to no supervision. And in one of those Temples, there had been holocron upon holocron dedicated to the study of Time and it's relation to the Force.
It was Fay who put together the fragmented ramblings of half-mad acolytes, the accounts of failed rituals. It was Fay – who the Force loved so deeply even then – who figured out how such a ritual would work. And it was Tarre who she chose to share this information with.
It was heretical, a piece of the Force that tread dangerously close to the Dark. Tarre had shoved that knowledge, that terrible burden his dearest friend had inflicted upon him, deep into the recesses of his mind, never to be accessed again. Until now.
To fix it all, to send back the consciousnesses and/or bodies of a few chosen champions...it's tempting. It tempts Tarre almost as much as the Dark did during that one horrid year, when his master had been killed, his riduur assassinated, his people ripping themselves apart—
He brings it before the Council of Kings. It's the only way to be sure he's not being guided by his own selfish desires. The Mandalores of the past are a vast group, filled with individuals as varied as the stars for which they are named.
The vote is a close run thing. For all the Mandalores who ascended to the position through their love for their people, there are just as many who rose to power through force of arms or hatred of the Jedi. Many of the latter view Tarre's very presence as an insult, as do some of the former.
Surprisingly, it's Mandalore the Indomitable who breaks the tie. The former Mand'alor had served his Sith master faithfully in life, had died to fulfill his oath, and millennia later the Sith repaid his sacrifice with the blood of millions of his own people. He detests the Jedi, he makes this point very clear, but he loves his people more. Let the jetii in their ranks perform his Force osik. Even if the very thought of such an act makes him feel sick to his stomach, the survival of their people and their Creed is more important.
With the vote decided, Tarre merely has to pick his Champions. The range of the ritual can only go so far back. The Force is infinite, but Tarre's presence within it is not. He had gone through great lengths during his early life to not seem too strong, too much of a threat, and his efforts had resulted in a rather limited way of thinking.
He brings in Jaster to help make the decision. As annoying as the man could be, as much as Tarre disagreed with him on matters of morality and honor, he was quite knowledgeable about the destination time period. Both of them made their careers not just on the strength of their arms, but in the force of their personalities. They know what they need to look for in potential champions: those who would follow the orders of the dead, those whose skill set would prove apt for their designated theaters of war, and those who could be manipulated through their honor and beliefs.
That last one, the manipulation, it leaves a sour taste in Tarre's mouth, but the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
In their dreams that night, two young Mandalorians and a Jedi are offered a choice by Tarre. They all accept.
Simultaneously, at the very edges of the Manda a father speaks to his son for the first time in many years, and in the face of his buir's stern disappointment the son reverts back to that orphaned fourteen-year-old. He agrees to his orders, and dreads facing his greatest mistake.
And in the Force, the essence of what was once a young knight who sacrificed himself for his family is plucked away from the collectiveness he had been lost in, and offered a similar choice. He eagerly accepts.

Clan of Three (Book 1) Chapter Fourteen
Father Figure! Mandalorian/Din Djarinx Teen! Reader
Chapter Fourteen: The Moff
Summary: The Moff makes his move against Mando and his foundlings, and they are forced to fight their way to freedom.
Mouse Note: Verd'ika :)
The Moff stood with his squadron of flame-thrower armed troopers and blaster-armed troopers before the bar where the Cara, Mando, (Y/N), and Karga were hiding.
“Is there another way out?” asked Cara.
            “No, that’s it,” said Karga.
“What about the sewers?” suggested Mando.
            “Sewers?” asked Karga in confusion.
“The Mandalorians have a covert down in the sewers,” said Mando. “If we get down there, they can help us escape.”
“Yeah. Sewers are good,” agreed Cara instantly, and (Y/N) nodded emphatically.
“Checking for access points,” ordered Mando, flicking a button on his gauntlet for his helmet.
“What are they waiting for?” muttered (Y/N), glancing out at the Modf and his men. Something was happening. Several stormtroopers were setting a large box on the ground and opening it up. “Kriff,” cursed (Y/N) as they saw the troopers setting up a large blaster. Their mind flashed the their farm and the villages around them, the runs and screams from terrible blaster fire.
“They’re setting up an E-Web,” realized Cara, huffing.
            “It’s over…” murmured Karga.
“I found the sewer vent,” said Mando.
“Let’s get the hell out of here,” said Cara.
Mando grabbed (Y/N) and pulled them with him to some corner lounge seats. He pulled the chairs from the wall to reveal the metal vent of the sewer. Outside the bar, the stormtroopers had nearly finished setting up the E-Web while Mando and Cara pulled at the grate.
“It’s assembled!” warned Karga. “How long until that thing’s cleared?!”
“Can we blow it?” asked (Y/N).
“I’m out of charges,” said Mando.
“Get out of the way!” announced Cara, hoisting her large gun up and fired through the vent. She then kicked at the grate, but it didn’t budge.
“Your astute panic suggests that you understand your situation,” drawled the Moff from outside. “I would prefer to avoid any further violence and encourage a moment of consideration.
“Members of my escort have completed assembly of an E-Web heavy repeating blaster. If you are unfamiliar with this weapon, I am sure that Republican Shock Trooper Carasynthia Dune of Alderaan will advise you that she has witnessed many of her ranks vaporize mid-descent facing the predecessor of this particular model.
“Or perhaps the decommissioned Mandalorian hunter, Din Djarin, has heard the songs of the Siege of Mandalore, when gunships outfitted with similar ordnance laid waste to fields of Mandalorian recruits in The Night of a Thousand Tears,” continued the Moff.
(Y/N) was distracted from the revelation of Mando’s name by the gruesome pictures the Moff was painting in the minds of all present.
“Perhaps even (Y/N) of the Hilo Clan has witnessed its destruction firsthand in the raids of Ushti,” said the Moff.
(Y/N) swallowed hard as the memories of seeing the fires of the villages of Ushti, the marketplaces that were a place of peace and trade turned to ash, the run to their home, the hope that their little farm would be spared and overlooked—it all swept through (Y/N)’s mind in a moment.
“I advise disgraced Magistrate Greef Karga to search the wisdom of his years and urge you all to lay down your arms and come outside,” said the Moff darkly. “The structure you are trapped in will be razed in short order, and I shall take my assets, and your storied lives will come to an unceremonious end.”
“What do you propose?” called Karga, trying to stall.
            “Reasonable negotiation,” said the Moff.
Karga scoffed but called out again. “What assurance do you offer?”
“If you’re asking if you can trust me, you cannot,” said the Moff.
            No kidding, thought (Y/N).
“Just as you betrayed our business arrangement, I would gladly break any promise and watch you die at my hand,” said the Moff. “The assurance I give is this: I will act in my own self-interest, which at this time involves your cooperation and benefit. I will give you until nightfall, and then I will have the E-Web cannon open fire.”
“I say we hear him out,” said Karga.
“Are you crazy? He’ll kill you all, and then I’ll be stuck with him,” said (Y/N) angrily.
Cara nodded and crossed her arms angrily. “They’ll hook me up to a Mind Flayer for being a Rebel.” She glanced at Mando. “Who knows what they do to Mandalorians.”
“Mind Flayers were just wartime propaganda,” argued Karga.
“I’m don’t care to find out. I’m shooting my way outta here,” said Cara fiercely.
(Y/N) groaned angrily at the idiotic idea and turned to Mando. “Mando, what about you?”
“I know who he is,” said Mando. “It’s Moff Gideon.”
(Y/N) furrowed their brow. They had heard the Client speaking to a Moff Something-or-Other, but that was all, and the name Gideon had no significance with them. Judging by the reactions of Karga and Cara, however, he was an infamous name.
“No,” said Cara. “Moff Gideon was executed for war crimes.”
“It’s him. He knew my name,” said Mando.
“So? What does that prove?” asked Karga.
“I haven’t heard that name spoken since I was a child,” said Mando evenly.
            “On Mandalore?” questioned Karga.
“I was not born on Mandalore.”
“But you’re a Mandalorian,” said Karga in confusion.
“You were a foundling,” said (Y/N) in understanding.
Mando nodded. Like (Y/N), the Mandalorians had found him and raised him as one of their own. (Mando wasn’t raising (Y/N), but they were a foundling to him nonetheless, and he was teaching them. He supposed raising them wouldn’t be far off…)
“Mandalorian isn’t a race,” he said. “It’s a Creed. (Y/N) is right. I was a foundling. They raised me in the Fighting Corps. I was treated as one of their own. When I came of age, I was sworn to the Creed. The only record of my family name was in the registers of Mandalore. Moff Gideon was an ISB Officer during the purge. That’s how I know it’s him. That’s how he knows who we all are.”
Mando grew even more somber. “He still needs us. If the Child was already caught, they’d just kill us and take (Y/N). So the kid must still be out there, even if Kuiil…is not.”
            “Hail them again,” said Cara.
Mando raised the commlink. “Come in. Kid, anyone, come in.”
“They might have jammed the link by now,” said (Y/N). Still, they weren’t sure if the Child was safe. Sure, he wasn’t captured, even though Kuiil was dead, otherwise Mando would right, they’d be dead, but he probably wasn’t safe.
A soft coo came out of the commlink, and (Y/N) nearly smiled in relief. The Child was okay.
“Kuiil has been terminated,” said the mechanical voice of IG-11.
“What did you do?” demanded Mando.
“I am fulfilling my base function,” replied IG.
            “Which is?” asked (Y/N)
“To nurse and protect,” said IG.
A moment later, the echo of blaster fire reverberated around the square. Cara, Mando, (Y/N), and Karga peered out and saw the stormtroopers were also looking around in confusion. That expression didn’t last long as several were gunned down and ran over as a speeder, well, sped through their ranks. IG, with the Child in a satchel around his chest, leapt from the back of the speeder and let it explode against a building and take down more stormtroopers.
            “Cover me,” ordered Mando.
Cara vaulted over the bar and began raining fire from her blaster down on the disorganized ranks of Gideon. Mando let the door of the bar slid open and began his attack. Karga and (Y/N) (who Mando would probably yell at to be careful if he wasn’t busy) were right behind them. While Mando and Karga handled the troopers going against them, (Y/N) fired at the enemies preparing to shoot down Mando or Karga. When one stormtrooper rushed them, they turned and shot. Another tried to grab at them (his blaster gone in the fight), but (Y/N) spun their dagger around and stabbed before kicking him and shooting.
“Get down!” shouted Mando, and (Y/N) and Karga dropped. Mando, wielding the E-Web, began disintegrating the stormtroopers still standing.
A charge blast disrupted the battlefield as the troopers blasted the bar door. It luckily didn’t completely break, but they managed to slip in. The explosion through Cara across the bar. Luckily, she recovered and ducked behind the bar as stormtroopers attacked. She took a single deep breath to gain her bearings before firing back at the troopers.
(Y/N) felt a small tug on their attention, and unbidden, they turned. They saw Gideon lifting his blaster to hit Mando. (Y/N) reacted on instinct, jumping forward and pushing Mando out of the way as Gideon fired. The shot zipped past (Y/N), the energy burning at their arm, but they gritted their teeth and took it.
Mando tugged them behind him as he picked up the E-Web again to fire at Gideon. The Moff reacted quicker, however, and fired at the cannister of charges beside Mando. The explosion threw him and (Y/N) to the ground. (Y/N) was saved from the major damage since Mando and his beskar armor were in front of them, but Mando didn’t move where he fell on the ground.
“Mando!” cried (Y/N), coughing against the smoke and fighting the cuts and bruises paining them. They scrambled to Mando’s side. As Gideon and his men approached, (Y/N) fired at them with their blaster. They wouldn’t leave Mando there to die, they wouldn’t. “Don’t get near him!” they shouted, and on instinct, they thrust out a hand. A few stormtroopers were knocked backwards, and Gideon’s eyes widened with both surprise and an eager anticipation of what he could do with such power.
Behind (Y/N), Cara emerged from the bar to assist with IG and Karga’s cover fire. She ran to (Y/N) and Mando. “We have to get back to the bar,” she said quickly, taking ahold on Mando’s torso.
(Y/N) nodded and continued firing at Gideon’s men as Cara dragged Mando into the bar. IG and Karga backed in after them. IG shut the bar door quickly.
“Burn them out. We’ll recover the Ushti while the others die,” commanded Gideon.
Inside the bar, (Y/N) nervously hovered near Mando as Cara set him down against a wall. “Stay with us, Mando,” they said. “Stay with us.”
Karga gestured to the sewer vent. “This is our only path out. Can you clear it?”
IG placed the Child down on the ground, still in its satchel, and approached. “If you go near this child or the adolescent, I will have no choice but to kill you.”
“I understand!” cried Karga. “Now can you do anything to move the grate?”
“Yes, of course,” said IG. With a fine lazer, he began cutting through the grate.
“I’m not gonna make it,” groaned Mando. He was badly injured. “(Y/N), you have to go.”
(Y/N) glared at him. “No! You’re gonna be fine. You’re gonna be fine!” They reached out to try the trick they and the Child had used on Karga, but they pulled their hands back suddenly as blood spread over them.
“We have to take this thing off,” said Cara.
“No. You leave me,” said Mando to Cara. “You make sure the kids are safe.” He looked at (Y/N), pulled a necklace with a signet off from his neck, and pressed it into their hand. “When you get to the Mandalorian covert, you show them that. You tell them it’s from Din Djarin. You tell them you and the Child are foundlings are under my protection, and they’ll help you.”
(Y/N) felt their breathing quicken anxiously as they realized they were losing someone again. Their mother, their father, and now Mando. “I can’t just leave you. We can make it!”
“I’m not gonna make it, and you know it,” said Mando. It was a harsh truth, but Mando needed them to survive and get out of there. He couldn’t let them or the Child die. “I can hold them back long enough for you to escape, (Y/N). Let me have a warrior’s death.”
As if the situation couldn’t get more dire, a stormtrooper with a flamethrower fired. Flames blasted through the window of the bar, and the heat was stifling.
Still, (Y/N) held Mando’s arm tightly. “I won’t leave you. I’ll fight them all! I won’t leave you!”
“This is the way, Verd’ika,” said Mando softly, reached up to try to comfort them in some small way.
The flamethrower-armed stormtrooper stepped into the bar. He fired, and as deadly flames rushed towards the group, the Child raised his arms and closed his eyes. An invisible force pressed against the fire, keeping it back. (Y/N) thrust out their arm, their anger building like the flames before them. Their invisible force pushed the flames into the stormtrooper, killing him. The entire bar was left burning.
The Child sat down before tipping backwards and falling asleep as exhaustion overtook him. (Y/N) was left feeling the similar tiredness of the inexperience and need for strong emotions when using their strange abilities, but they fought it back. Their anger propelled them forward to keep fighting.
IG kicked the vent open, and Karga urged them all, “Come on! It’s open, let’s go!”
“Go. Go,” said Mando, trying to push (Y/N) to go. He needed them and the Child to survive. He wouldn’t forgive himself if anything happened to them.
“We have to move, now!” said Karga, entering the grate.
IG lifted the Child in his satchel and handed it to Cara. “Escape and protect the children. I will stay with the Mandalorian.” Cara nodded, cast a worried look a Mando, and held the Child close.
“Promise you’ll bring him,” said (Y/N) fiercely, unwilling to leave until they had that assurance.
“I will do as I was programmed to,” said IG.
(Y/N) looked down at Mando one last time before standing up and allowing Cara to guide them to the vent and climb through.

Let’s talk about Tarkin x Leia! The problematic rarepair which has tightened its grip on my heart 😍😍
Iconic villain x heroine stuff… A pairing which deserves so much more attention.
Tumblr media
The way he grabs her face… even watching the scene as a kid, I think it awakened something in me. “Wait… why is Tarkin touching Leia like that?” “Is he into her?”
It’s something so distinctly twisted and intimate between two complete enemies. From there, wasn’t too hard to imagine the Grand Moff having a villainous crush on his prisoner…
Tumblr media
Then there’s the little bow he gives her here… He can torture and threaten her but at the same time still knows how to treat her like a princess.
Tumblr media
Such a gentleman… 😍
As evidenced by the facetiously complimentary way he talks to her, and the Bow, his treatment of her is almost courtly. Yet it is still with that distinctive Creepy Old Man behavior… He uses his physical proximity to his prisoner to establish dominance.
Tumblr media
For instance here, where it LITERALLY LOOKS LIKE HE IS SNIFFING HER HAIR. Wookieepedia even captioned the image as “sexual harassment”. 💀
Tumblr media
And here, where he backs her against Vader, leaving the Princess trapped between her two most hated enemies… 👀
Creepy physical chemistry notwithstanding, perhaps most compelling about this pairing is the way they are representatives of two complete opposing ideals— quite literally at war with one another.
Leia Organa is princess of Alderaan, a pacifistic planet. But in spite of that, she is very much willing to take up weapons and fight to overthrow the Empire.
It is during her time as Imperial Senator that she becomes a secret leader in the Rebel Alliance… running covert operations to ferry supplies to the Rebellion and steal information from the Empire, all under the guise of “mercy missions”— and inspiring hope among those who would dare to oppose the tyrannical regime.
Tumblr media
Wilhuff Tarkin, meanwhile, is an equally important military leader in the Empire. While Leia fights for the lofty ideals of peace and freedom, it is the Governor’s belief that the most effective way to lead is through fear. This is the founding basis of his Tarkin Doctrine— a policy which is utilized thoroughly within the Imperial military.
Tumblr media
A policy which Leia thoroughly opposes, up to the very point of her capture…
Tumblr media
Moreover, the establishment of Leia and Tarkin as “opposite representations of good and evil” within the film is something completely intentional— so much so that to highlight this, actor Peter Cushing made the choice to stand in the shadows so that the light shown on Carrie Fisher’s/Leia’s face.
Tumblr media
We love a pairing of light/darkness…
Their scene together on the Death Star bridge has always been fascinating to me, as a dramatic confrontation between a powerful man of the evil Empire and his captive Princess— a figurehead of the Rebellion determined to overthrow him. The utter disdain they hold for one another, the seething hatred hidden behind sharply placed words…
“Governor Tarkin, I should have expected to find you holding Vader’s leash. I recognized your foul stench when I was brought on board.”
“Charming, to the last. You don’t know how hard i found it, signing the order to terminate your life.”
Obviously they’ve met before, and now, it is all coming to a head here. Leia is right where Tarkin wants her— as his prisoner. 👀He truly believes he— and by extension, the Empire— has won over Leia, this figurehead of Rebellion. And to assert his dominance, he uses gloating words and taunting physical closeness to intimidate her…
Leia resists him, but it is here with Tarkin that she is at her most vulnerable, presenting a rather interesting power dynamic.
He is a reprehensible villain and her captor; she is his defiant rebel prisoner and the fierce heroine. Not to mention their age difference and the way both he and Vader tower over her…
It’s a delicious push and pull dynamic with tons of tension, a relationship which would be absolutely so toxic and horrible, and it’s genuinely so fun to think about.
All their banter and tension and hate, possible chance meetings prior to A New Hope… Secret rendezvous and interrogations in her Death Star cell… The sheer potential for dark AUs…
In conclusion I hope you will consider Willeia 😌💖
Tumblr media
“Perhaps she would respond to an… alternative form of persuasion.” 😏😏

My favorite Star Wars ships:
Honorable mention: X-Wing
This feels cliche. I don’t know. The ships that helped blow up both Death Stars… and any time a tool can aid in dealing a blow to fascists, I’m in. Also, three cheers to Yoda for pulling one out of the bog on Dagoba with the force.
5.) The Ghost / Phantom II Combo
I love this ship. Maybe I love it a little less than I love Hera and the rest of the Ghost Crew, but truly, it is an amazing ship. It has seen a lot of action, been involved in a lot of battles, and it keeps ticking.
4.) Slave I
I’ve always liked this ship. I don’t know. It might be the way that it lands. Though, candidly, I have no fucking clue how one would get in and out of it easily since it has you sort of upside-down. Still. It’s got a great number of useful weapons. It’s fast. Sleek. Stylish. Fun for Fetts.
3.) Millennium Falcon
This is also cliche, but it did make the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs. Played a role in blowing up both Death Stars too. Fun for smuggling spice, weapons, Jedi, Princesses of Alderaan. Cool co-pilot in the form of a Chewbacca. A hunk of junk that packs more punch than one would think (though it was an utter p***y magnet when it belonged to Lando).
2.) T-6 Shuttle
I’m not a simp for Ahsoka at all. Joking aside. The ship is comfortable enough to live in. Designed for peaceful missions, they can be retrofitted with weapons. I like the rotating wings. I think that’s an interesting concept. Also, the ship is sleek. Just saying.
1.) The Fondor
This isn’t even close. This ship. Holy fuck. Unsuspecting. Boring looking. But damn. Damn would you be wrong about everything. The ship navigation and droid assistance in the first episode we saw it in was pretty cool.
But, then, it shows up in “The Daughter of Ferrix” and oh my god… Luthen gets hailed by an Imperial patrol, gets stuck in that tractor beam. You’re thinking in that moment, uh oh. Then, he powers up his counter measures, and fucking sends shrapnel into the tractor beam and destroys it. Now you’re thinking, oh bad ass!
But, he’s not finished. He uses canons to blow up a tie fighter. No biggie, but cool… then, he uses those damned lightsaber laser defenses and cuts TWO of those mother fucking ties in half, and shoots off into hyperspace. My mouth just hit the floor. That was the coolest shit I’d ever seen. Give. Give me the Haulcraft!

Note
Often, I will skip to the end notes of a fic before I even begin the chapter. It helps put me in the right frame of mind when undertaking that chapter (I approach nothing in my life, casually) When I read this note (see bellow) in your most recent chapter, it was really thought provoking. My response was this is the kind of person I want in my life. It suggests a deeply compassionate, empathetic individual is behind this statement:
I've tried to present the mental anguish that Kallus must be feeling. Knowing that for the sake of his soul he has to help the rebels, but also living among the people he is betraying. Knowing his actions are going to eventually lead to some and perhaps many of them dying.
We can all agree that Imperial stormtroopers were as disposable a lot as used paper towels in Rebels - beginning with Kallus callously kicking a stormtrooper to his death. Do you feel that even as the character (Kallus) began his redemption arc, that the issue of his conscience was not adequately— if at all — explored?
When I first viewed A New Hope, I thought nothing of the combined losses of the destruction of Alderaan/Death Star. I cheered right along with everyone else (about 10 years ago). Watching the same flick last year, I was affected much differently. Do you feel that as a whole, the Star Wars franchise is still lacking in the category of compassion/empathy?
Bonus query: is compassion/empathy an attribute that you consider/imbue in your characters as a practice? (beyond Star Wars)
I appreciate your mission statement with your fic. It resonates with me as someone who has been adjacent to the battlefield & experienced loss. In real life, it never leaves you. Thank you for making it matter to you & the story that you are creating ❤️
Thank you. What an incredible Ask. And also what a lovely compliment. Now hang on because this answer is going to be long.
I do try. Gods know there is enough pain and anguish in the world right now so I try to be gentle with others -- even my characters do I do often put them through hell until I (hopefully) at the end bring them to a safe and peaceful harbor.
I just don't think Kallus kicking the trooper off the pylon in the premier of the show can be winked at. Yes, of course it's television and they wanted to establish he was a baddie and there wasn't a puppy handy for him to kick so the poor trooper got to be the stand in, but I really, really wish they had dealt with it, addressed what a terrible, shitty thing it was for him to do.
I have it haunting Alex, and yes, he partly did it because he was angry at himself and the trooper got the brunt of that anger. But anger is often born out of fear, and that's what I played with. That Alex knew failing to capture a Jedi survivor and potential padawan might earn him a choking from Darth Vader. So he lashes out. I've tried to keep it a running thread through the story because I don't want to just drop it the way the show did. They treat that man clinging desperately for a chance to live as comic throw away, and I've never liked that sort of thing.
I saw A New Hope while I was studying for the bar exam so I was just looking for wonderful escapism but even that first time I had this moment of wondering about those technicians in the funny helmets who were spinning up the weapon. Who were they? Did they have families? Were they true believers? They were clearly educated, did they think it was cool to serve on this technological wonder? Did they ever actually absorb what the Death Star was intended for or were they like the scientists working on the first atomic bombs?
And over the years I've become more and more shaken by sheer magnitude of the deaths. I've see estimates that there were a million and a half people aboard. I find that unlikely. Given the size of the battle station the number was realistically around 300,000 people, but that's still a lot of people. And again, not all of them were Takin and Vader level baddies.
Then there was the destruction of the Lothal Dome with almost all of the troopers and pilots and techs having been recalled to the Dome before Sabine's little explosive gifts blew it to pieces. That's roughly 30,000 people. You may remember that in the show the only individual we see just before its destroyed is Pryce so you don't think about all those other people. But again I kept thinking about the grunt whose job it was to repair the speeder bikes, or the tech in charge of maintenance, the girl in communications who was planning to get married after she mustered out, the cooks. So Kallus is not going to handle that well. He served with these people for four long years. They wouldn't have been faceless, disposable people to him.
Final answer. Yes, I make sure all my characters think carefully about the cost and impact of their actions. In one of my book series my main character keeps a count of how many people he has had to kill in defense of Earth and humanity itself. He never wants it to become commonplace, and he's always wondering about the people left behind because of those deaths.
Death should have meaning and it should certainly have an impact on the person dealing out those deaths.
I do have a character in another book series who is my homage to James Bond, but he also partakes a great deal from T.E. Lawrence as presented in the movies. He is an assassin and he discovers after he is recruited at a very young age that he either feels nothing when he kills or he enjoys it. He is the greyest character I have ever written.

Kallia’s Journal; Entry Nine
Another day of dedication and training. Another opportunity to grow as a Jedi within the Order. As I typically am, I was present at an Initiation ceremony earlier this afternoon, two new Initiates brought into the arms of our order. I still remember my ceremony, reciting the code, battling in that duel, seeing the Archives for the first time. It is certainly a beautiful experience, and it never gets old, even when I'm merely observing.
After that, my master, Kethry, brought me into her apartment, where we met with the healer, Tam'a'ryth, who had recently taken on a padawan of her own. Lyceus. I know him, and I quite like him. He's dedicated, like I am.
Our shared training session today was to be a simple duel, and after a short tour of the apartment for the benefit of our guests, we began our friendly battle. I, of course, offered my fellow padawan some light teasing. I do enjoy a bit of sarcasm and humor at every decent opportunity. Our dance was short, when he caught me on the shoulder with his practice blade. I might have underestimated him, given that he's training as a Consular. I guess I always thought they were more skilled with the force than with their weapons. Maybe I was wrong. Or maybe Lyceus is just the exception.
After that, the others departed. There was some sort of Leadership class back at the temple, but I already took that course some time ago. I remained behind to care for that plant that I was granted responsibility for shortly after becoming Kethry's padawan. I might have also taken a very quick, albeit relaxing, bath. My shoulder was a bit sore, but it's fine now.
Eventually I made my way back to the temple on Alderaan. Just in time too, it would seem. Tam'a'ryth informed me that I'd be learning about meditation. Kethry and Lyceus were there too. I'm getting the feeling that we'll all be training together a lot.
In any case, we were led over to that large waterfall. The air is chilled by the wintry mist, and the frosted stones gave off a coldness that bit into bone. We sat there for what felt like hours, as I was instructed on meditation. I think Lyceus must have already learned the technique, since he didn't seem to struggle with it nearly as much as I did. Eventually, though, I managed to slip into a trance-like state of peace and calm. Suddenly, the world opened up to me, and I could feel and see things that I was never able to before. Even with my eyes closed, I could detect the other three that were present. The fish in the water. The thranta in the sky. The grass, the trees, the water. It was incredible.
Tam'a'ryth instructed me to practice meditation twice a day, which I will, of course. I inquired as to whether or not this technique could be used to keep the body alive for extended periods of time, in the face of starvation, or something equally as bad. I was told that yes, it could, although the most effective technique for extending life in dire situations would be something called Force Hibernation.
Unfortunately, this isn't something I can learn. At least not for quite some time. Even masters struggle with learning it, or so I am told. No matter, I'll look into it. Maybe by the time I'm a master, I'll be skilled enough to figure it out.

[dropcap]D[/dropcap]on't act so surprised, Your Highness. You weren't on any mercy mission this time. Several transmissions were beamed to this ship by Rebel spies. I want to know what happened to the plans they sent you. In my experience, there is no such thing as luck. Partially, but it also obeys your commands. I want to come with you to Alderaan. There's nothing for me here now. I want to learn the ways of the Force and be a Jedi, like my father before me. The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers. Still, she's got a lot of spirit. I don't know, what do you think? What!? I don't know what you're talking about. I am a member of the Imperial Senate on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan-- What good is a reward if you ain't around to use it? Besides, attacking that battle station ain't my idea of courage. It's more like…suicide. You don't believe in the Force, do you? Obi-Wan is here. The Force is with him. I call it luck. Look, I can take you as far as Anchorhead. You can get a transport there to Mos Eisley or wherever you're going. What?! The Force is strong with this one. I have you now. We hire people who want to make the best things in the world. -Steve Jobs She must have hidden the plans in the escape pod. Send a detachment down to retrieve them, and see to it personally, Commander. [highlight color="yellow"]There'll be no one to stop us this time![/highlight] You're all clear, kid. Let's blow this thing and go home! Partially, but it also obeys your commands. Dantooine. They're on Dantooine. He is here. Don't underestimate the Force. [tie_full_img][/tie_full_img] I care. So, what do you think of her, Han? A tremor in the Force. The last time I felt it was in the presence of my old master. We have no weapons. You can't possibly… Your eyes can deceive you. Don't trust them. He is here. What?! Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. I'm trying not to, kid. I'm trying not to, kid. I have traced the Rebel spies to her. Now she is my only link to finding their secret base. He is here. . It's more like…suicide. Hey, Luke! May the Force be with you. Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me believe there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field that controls my destiny. Ideas for Star Wars content that would have been better than the sequel trilogy.
Star Wars: New Dawn
Taking place thirty years after the death of the Emperor and the collapse of the Empire, Luke Skywalker is overseeing the growth of a new Jedi Order on their ancient homeworld of Tython. Alongside his wife, former Inquisitor Mara Jade, Luke does his best to revive the dying embers of the order with help from familiar faces like Cal Kestis and Ahsoka Tano.
However, trouble brews on Tython. The Jedi find themselves caught between the local Thythonian tribes, with whom they hold a tenuous alliance, and a colony of Alderaanian refugees who happened to be off-world when their planet was destroyed by the Death Star.
The Tythonian Tribes tolerate the Jedi since their order originated on Tython and thus are seen as a returning tribe rather than invaders. The Alderaanian Refugees, however, are treated with hostility by the locals who fear this is the prelude to a wide spread colonization effort by the New Alliance.
Enter unto this conflict: Rey: a young force sensitive girl Luke found when she was very young, Owen Skywalker: Luke’s son with Mara Jade, and Baila Solo: Leia and Han’s daughter.
Baila sympathizes with the refugees since Alderaan was her mother’s homeworld, Owen sympathizes with the tribes since he know history and understands how quickly refugees can become colonizers, and Rey wants to find a way to satisfy everyone.
These three young padawans must unite when remnants of the Old Empire led by a deranged former Inquisitor find their way to Tython.
The Imperial Remnants start to sew discord between the tribes and the refugees, and the Jedi must unite both sides to drive the Remnants away and make peace on their world.

Star Wars: Stormbreaker
The Second Order, a rouge state/terrorist organization created from the remnants of the Old Empire, is conducting attacks on the Outer Rim, trying to gain a foothold and establish themselves in a legitimate way. As they do this, they kidnap children and brainwash them into being their soldiers.
One of these Stormtroopers is FN-2187. But everything changes for FN-2187 when they are ordered to fire on civilians and he cannot bring himself to shoot.
Allying with a captured Alliance pilot named Poe Dameron, Fn-2187, named Finn by Poe, escapes, and is declared a traitor by the Second Order. But it’s too late, Finn’s rebellion has planted a seed.
Recognized as Force Sensitive, Poe takes Finn to Tython where he recieves training from Luke and makes friends with Rey, Owen and Baila. As he does, seeds of rebellion start to grow among the Stormtroopers of the Second Order.
At first it’s just one or two runnaways, but slowly something starts to grow within the ranks. Whispered words and shared concerns. Those who want to fight back, and they find friendship and family with each other. The Second Order is beginning to rot from within as more soldiers begin to break away from the brainwashing and propoganda.
It all comes to a head when Finn returns, now a trained Jedi, alongside Poe, and finds a secret rebellion waiting for him.
“We all knew it was wrong. What we were doing. But you... you were the first one to do something about it. The Stormtrooper who didn’t shoot.”
Finn received his first name when he left the Second Order. He receives his second when he returns to destroy it.
Stormbreaker. Finn Stormbreaker.

Star Wars: Red Blade
Tifa Venta is a young Zeltron girl, and a Force Sensitive. Forced to flee her home when the Second Order comes calling to kidnap her and turn her into a weapon, Tifa knows she needs to get to Tython where she will be safe among the Jedi. But being a near penniless vagabond, she doesn’t have a lot of prospects, and the Second Order is closing in.
Enter Hawk, a mysterious stranger with a sealed lightsaber whom Tifa meets while fleeing the Madalorians that the Second Order hired to help capture her. While at first dismissive of her, Hawk seems to compulsively help her when he realizes her story, and promises to get her to Tython.
Among the Madalorians is Temjin Na’Khan, a warrior who fights with a pure Beskar sword, and finds himself bored of a world that seems to offer no challenges. However, he becomes obsessed with Hawk when he kills two Madalorians while refusing to draw his lightsaber.
What follows is a chase across the galaxy as Hawk desperately tries to get Tifa to Tython while dodging danger at ever step.
Eventually, Hawk’s backstory is revealed. He was an Imperial Inquisitor who began training at the age of ten, rather unusual. Hawk broke when, in the course of his duty, was ordered to kill two children of an enemy senator. Hawk obeyed the order.
Following that, he sealed his lightsaber and fled the empire, resolving to find a place to die in the Outer Rim.
Eventually, Tifa is kidnapped by the Second Order, and Hawk rushes to her rescue. In the course of the battle, Hawk finally draws his crimson lightsaber, and frees Tifa, culminating in a final clash with Temujin.

I Have an idea that's stuck in my head: yn managed to escape the empire, she was a sex slave( we all know the empire was the worst) and that left her mistrusting of people. she covers her face and body and has minimal content with others. but she's kind with the kids of Sorgan and Cara notices that. she works as a healer and is called to looked for Cara when she's injured and a bond forms. what do you think? A/N: So here it is! Sorry for the delay, Tumblr messed up a few things but I managed to write this. Hope you like it, let me know what you think!

Sorgan was a peaceful place. Tall trees created the perfect shelter for the small villages on the planet, the people were kind and never asked too many questions, it was the perfect place to start over, to live a life without worries.
A place to run from the past.
You were here for that safety and you were sure Cara Dune was here for the same reason.
You met Cara a few weeks after she arrived at Sorgan, the tavern seemed full that night, you could hear the people cheering even from your hut at the furthest point of the village. You wondered why this sudden excitement on the people when nights used to be so quiet. Later that night you found the answer to your question.
A man showed up at your door, begging you to heal The Champion who had just got hurt in the latest fight. This was not the first time you were called to heal a champion of the tavern fights but you never expected it to be her.
Dark messy hair falling over the side of her face, she had strong features, yet the warmest eyes that looked at you with kindness, or maybe with curiosity about your way of dressing that allowed the minimum of skin to be shown.
“You’re the healer?” she managed to ask as you stepped in her hut, her voice filled with pain, she had her hand trying to stop the blood of the wound. Nodding you approached to take a better look at the bleeding wound on the side of her body and the many bruises all over her body.
As you got closer you noticed a few more things about this big woman: first the stripes on her right arm that meant her participation in the war and then the little starbird below her left eye, that one had a very sad meaning.
“Hold this.” you told her as you placed a wet cloth to her wound, the woman let out a groan feeling the pressure on the fresh cut. “Press tight.” you indicated her.
“You’re the boss.” she said with a playful smile, even though you could see she was in pain.
Once you found the tools and salves you needed from your bag you returned to her side. Without looking much at her you started to work on the wound, it was just below her ribs and judging it from the depth this was made by something sharp and not a fight.
“This is a serious cut.” you said. “What weapon did this?”
“A vibroblade.” she groaned when you started disinfecting the wound. “I’ve had worse.”
“Sure.” you said, already pouring the liquid from one of your bottles over the side of her body, without much bacta around you had learned to heal with the ancient ways that were a way more painful and slower than the bacta, but just as effective.
Cara whined when the liquid made contact with her skin, burning her flesh. By instinct she grabbed your wrist, making you flinch in terror, sure she was going to hurt you in some way. You closed your eyes and protected yourself with your free hand, already waiting for the hit, just like in your days as a slave, when doing something wrong meant a punishment.
“Please don’t.” you muttered. “Please, don’t hurt me.”
Cara looked at you for a moment, confused. Realized she had your wrist she let go of it and immediately apologized.
“Sorry, it was a reflex.” she said in a calming way, “That thing hurts more than the actual knife.” she added.
You were still insecure about whether to trust her or not.
“It's okay, I’m not going to hurt you.” Cara said looking right into your eyes “I would never hurt you.”
Something in her eyes made you finally trust her. Nodding you went back to your work, silent but somehow safe around this woman you had just met. Leaving her hut with the sensation that you could really trust in her and it was a very long time since you trusted someone.
As the fights in the tavern continued, her visits to your hut became more frequent, giving you the time to get to know Cara Dune a little bit better, to get a little bit closer, to fall in love with her.
Cara observed you everyday walking through the village, you were covered in fabric from head to toe, she always wondered why but never asked, afraid you’d get offended by the question. In fact, she had too many questions for you yet she kept silent.
Walking around the villages she noticed you never really interacted with the villagers beyond advising some concoction to cure some sickness or healing a wound, not even though people around here were kind, you just seemed uninterested in the many handsome boys that tried to win you over.
It was different with the children. She saw you play with them often, she even caught a smile curving your lips when a little girl ran to you to show you the frog she had just captured. Cara herself smiled with the picture in front of her.
You were such a mystery to her.
"What happened now?" You asked, catching her standing in the entrance of your hut, holding her arm.
"New opponent." She told you grinning. "The zabrak really punch hard but nothing I can't handle."
Shaking your head, you turned away from her, already searching for the right salve for the wound on her arm.
You enjoyed her company, her teasing smile and you even liked it when she looked at you, even though you hated it when other people stared at you, she looked at you unlike them, not with hunger or lust but compassion and kindness.
You felt safe around her tall frame and muscular figure. Enough to relax when it was just her and you in your hut, patching up her wounds.
“I’m starting to think you get hurt on purpose.” you told her in a teasing tone for the first time.
“Maybe I do.” she said looking into your eyes.
“Let me see the wound, Cara.” you said finally taking care of the cut on her arm.
As you cleaned the wound she observed you while you cleaned the cut and applied salve, a thousand of questions filled her head once again.
“Y/N, can I ask you something?” Cara murmured insecurely. You held your breath for a moment and then you accepted.
“Sure.”
“Why did you come to Sorgan?” she asked. It wasn’t an easy answer.
“For the same reason you’re here.” you told her trying to avoid her hazel gaze. “The Empire took everything away from me.”
She was from Alderaan, you didn’t need to ask, you knew it the first time you met her, the starbird below her eye could only mean that she was a survivor of the destruction of Alderaan.
"Well, that makes two of us."She scoffed. Then she tried to joke but she realized it was a delicate topic and went serious. "I am sorry."
"It's okay, it's all over now." you said patching her wound up.
"Can I ask you one more thing?" She questioned and you nodded in response.
"What did they do to you? I noticed you tend to avoid people." Cara said searching for your eyes now that you had finished with her wound. "And the first time we met you seemed so scared when I grabbed your arm."
You sighed. Trying to form the words to reveal a part of your past that no one on this planet knew.
"I was sold to the Empire when I was young." you told her, struggling to say the words out loud.
"You were-"
"A slave." It blurted out of you, your eyes traveling to the ground. "Many people hurt me back then, that's why I was afraid." You added, telling your story for the first time. "One day I found a chance to escape and I took it."
Cara took your hand softly, making you flinch for a moment but you relaxed, remembering it was her.
"I'm sorry. I'm here if you need anything. Survivors have to help each other, right?" Cara said holding your hand, "And I promise you that I won't let everyone hurt you again."
You smiled at her, a sincere and genuine smile. And then you did something you had never done before, you hugged her.
She wrapped her strong arms around you, protecting you. You felt safe into her embrace, loved.
"Thank you, Cara." You murmured into her embrace.
The Empire had taken everything away from both of you, but you had each other now to help to heal each other's wounds.

part 07/?? “a trap is set”
previous part // next part
masterlist
word count 2.1k
Alderaan was just like the stories you had heard over the years. Though it was no Coruscant, it definitely held a sense of sophistication and peace. From the minute the Mantis set itself on the ground though, you were uncomfortably aware of the security force presence that appeared. As the ramp was lowered and you joined Cal’s side, you recognized the man who approached with the security detail.
Even all these years later, you would recognize Bail Organa anywhere.
There were deepened wrinkles around his eyes, patches of white hair grazing the sides of his face, but one thing hadn’t changed: the warming smile he gave the Jedi next to you. You remembered seeing the same smile when you passed him in the Senate building long ago. Cal and you stepped down the ramp nearly in sync, as Bail Organa met you at the bottom. “Thank you for accepting our invitation. I hope you travelled well.”
“We wouldn’t miss the chance of learning more about the Alliance,” Cal replied and glanced your way. “And thanks to some unmarked hyperspace routes we’ve slipped through any Empire detection.”
“That’s good to hear,” Bail said. His eyes glanced your way when Cal spoke of the hyperspace routes, but you stayed stoic. The less people knew of your existence the better. He glanced up at the entry of the ship, where the others were coming out. “I’m sure you’re all needing a chance to relax, I’m more than happy to show you the way.”
“That would be great-”
“Father, how much longer do I have to wait before we can go to Cloudshape Falls? Oh-”
A little girl with braided hair had run up from behind Bail and clutched at his cape when her eyes fell upon the weapon on Cal’s side. In her eyes they held bewilderment and awe, but something hit you hard in the stomach as her eyes soon shifted to the strangers before her. The way her eyebrows furrowed just slightly, the slightly unruly baby hairs… This was the other twin. This was Anakin and Padme’s daughter.
“Please forgive my daughter, she’s never seen a Jedi before,” Bail explained as he rested a hand behind her back. “Leia I told you we’d have to go another day.”
Her frown deepened and she huffed at him, and you closed your eyes shut behind your helmet. It reminded you of Anakin when you were children. “But we always go on Primeday.”
“Please don’t let us stop you from going,” Cal cut in. You watched as Leia’s frown turned into a grin and her father wiggled his eyebrows at her.
“I like him,” she told her father, and earned a snicker from him.
“I bet you do,” Bail told her and moved behind her to place both hands on her shoulders. “While you rest I guess I have other duties to see to.”
“Of course,” Cal agreed and looked back at the others and motioned for them to follow. As you stepped off the ramp and Bail Organa turned to lead the way, a familiar sensation filled your chest. It was enough to make you pause, to glance around you in search of the source of the warmth in your chest, which made Cal stop to check on you. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” your modulated voice  said lowly. “I’m going to stay behind for a moment.”
Cal nodded in understanding, but hesitated before catching up with the rest. Your eyes focused on the group slowly disappear into the crowds, and you inhaled deeply. You wondered if it was possible..?
“Never thought I would see the day where we met again,” a voice said close by. You fought all urges to smile, but couldn’t help it when you came face to face with the source.
He was not the man you remembered from five years ago. Adjourned in the same uniform of the other security forces, he held his helmet on his hip as he came up to your side. But his eyes were more calm, as well as the aura surrounding him. You accepted his handshake and clasped your other hand over the back of his hand.
“Dash.. You look like you’re doing well,” you greeted. He grinned and looked down at himself before meeting your gaze behind the helmet.
“It’s been a journey but I’d say it’s been worth it,” he replied before you two removed your hands from one another. “And I go by my given name again, never really liked what he proclaimed me as.. Chordan.”
“Chordan,” you thought over before giving a firm nod. “I like it. Definitely better than what he gave you.”
Chordan motioned in a direction and you began to walk side by side one another. The pace was slow, you basked in one another’s presence and the familiar feeling that radiated off of each other. He led you towards a building that seemed to gleam against the falling sun. “What brings you to Alderaan?”
“I’m accompanying a couple of Jedi on their journey. I’m.. Looking for someone,” you replied cautiously. You both came to a stop as Dash looked you over with a raised brow.
“You don’t mean..?”
“I do,” you cut him off. You couldn’t help but look past him towards the scenery that surrounded the city. “I have to find him without Palpatine finding out.”
The use of the Emperor’s name was quiet, just for him to hear. Chordan had to understand your need to find Anakin, the one in question. He had seen how broken you were that day on Korriban, and the two weeks you spent together after the Purge first occurred. You noticed he straightened himself, nearing you to lean down and whisper something. “I knew I sensed a change in you.”
Before you had a chance to reply someone came up from the building you were nearing, which caused you two to separate. You kept your gaze firm on the distance, to allow Chordan to speak with whoever was coming up from behind. “Sir, we’ve intercepted a message-”
No. It couldn’t be.
You spun around faster than they could finish, impulsively unhooking the holster on your leg and taking a step back. You couldn’t help it, it was yet another person who had attempted to kill you (though it could be argued they had no choice.)
CT-27-5555. Distinguishable by his personality and the faded ‘5’ tattoo on the right side of his temple. One of the ones who saved your life from “Governor” Shuule now six years prior. Setting your hand on your blaster was enough to warrant him to react as well, but Chordan stood between you both.
“I don’t think that’s a wise move,” Fives familiar voice registered in your ears. Your eyes darted between the two men who stood before you, and Chordan focused on you harder.
“Calm down,” he warned you. Fives grew antsy behind him but Chordan narrowed his look at him. “Stand down.”
“Who the hell is this anyway, Sir,” Fives questioned.
Chordan hesitated, which was noticeable by Fives (if that’s what he went by now) who was growing more guarded by the moment. You felt like your breaths were heavy, weighing what you wanted to do, but there was no decision to be made. With a shaky hand you reclaspsed your gun holster and reached up to feel for the latch on your helmet, which for some reason you couldn’t remember where it was. But when you finally got the latch undone and the hissing that sounded after, you lifted it off your head.
You wondered what you looked like to those you haven’t seen in years. Fives had always been one to give his thoughts and feelings away with his facial expressions, and it appears that hadn’t changed. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, eyeing you then Chordan, before his face softened in recognition. “General.. Sir- I mean-”
He was unsure how to address you, given your last encounter with one another, but he stopped speaking the moment you took a careful step forward. He was nervous as you tried to gauge his reaction, maybe to see if he was going to attack you, but his stomach twisted as you stood before him. Fives wasn’t one to get nervous, but there was a first for everything. What startled him the most was when you reached your free hand up to his face, the leathery feeling brushed over his right cheek and traced over the tattoo on his temple. It seemed to confirm something for you. “It’s really you.”
“I.. I’m so sorry,” Fives erupted, earning a frown from the one who had him in awe. “Palpating he installed chips in us Clones.. There was no way to fight his command-“
“It’s okay,” you reassured him while dropping your hand from his face. “You only just grazed me.”
“I thought.. Thought you were dead,” Fives said lowly. You glanced towards Chordan and came to rest your hand again on his shoulder.
“We had to make it believable.. I asked him never to tell anyone, I had to wait until the time was right before-“
“(Y/N),” Chordan interjected, his tone warning you of what you were doing. You glanced at him and shrugged slightly.
“I trusted him with my life, you’ve trusted him all these years it seems.. I can trust him with this,” you reasoned. Fives watched the exchange in confusion, before you let out a small sigh and turned back to him. “I’m trying to find Skywalker.”
Anakin and you had worked hard to conceal your relationship because of the Council and the ways of the Jedi. But almost like how Obi-Wan knew, there must’ve been others unknown to you. You didn’t know if any Clones had figured it out, but by the expression on Fives face it seems like he had figured it out at some point. But there was another hint of urgency that now clicked for him. “The message-“
“What message?” Chordan asked. Fives explained to him he’d want to hear it himself, and with a stolen glance of understanding, you put your helmet back on and followed the two towards your next objective.

The Inquisitor's incompetence was making Vader irritated. It irked him that his training seemed to befall on those who couldn’t even carry out the simplest task: tracking down any remaining Jedi. He knew there were more out there, he could feel them himself. And with his encounter with Cal Kestis on his own turf.. Vader wanted him to be brought before him once more. He would finish what was started if Kestis didn’t comply.
With his Star Destroyer still hustled amongst the stars, Coruscant was still in sight. Standing at the head of the bridge, Vader looked at the distant planet and was silent. The officers below him didn’t bother him, and it was just the way he liked it. He heard the footsteps of a commander approach, before stopping behind him. “Sir, we’ve got the message transmitting to the parameters you’ve requested.”
“Good,” Vader’s voice loomed from behind his helmet. He knew that if anyone heard this message, they would be sure to come.. They’d fall right into his clutches.
“This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Jedi Order is rising again. This message is for any surviving Jedi, and those trained in the Force.. We’re awaiting you on Coruscant.”
The message replayed on a loop after that, transmitting on the same frequency that Ben’s real, original message had played on. There were six people listening to it in the command center on Alderaan, but silence befell them. Finally, Fives shut it off and the silence grew to an uncomfortable level before someone finally spoke.
“It’s obviously a trap,” Bail said. Chordan had called him away from his family, while you had called on Cal and Cere, who both looked lost in thought. Bail looked at the group he invited, and furrowed his brows. “Why would Vader go to this length for just you two?”
“He’s probably hoping for more to fall for his trap,” Cere responded, rubbing her chin in thought. “He probably knows that the younger ones may believe the message.. Can’t believe he managed to cut it so believably.”
“We can’t risk him getting a hold of any more Force sensitives,” you remarked behind your helmet.
“What do you plan on doing? Get captured?” Chordan asked.
“We have to at least try and stop that message, and destroy his chances of creating more,” Cal said. You nodded in agreement, but Bail seemed more hesitant.
“Are you sure about this?” He asked the young Jedi. Cal glanced your way, and you shared a knowing nod.
The Mantis was returning to the fallen temple.

Jedi Ben and Empress Rey au
The concept of Jedi Ben and Sith!Rey is fascinating to me and has a lot of potential
A Ben Solo who never fell to the dark side and stayed true to his family and the light
A Rey who was found and brought before Snoke by Ochi. Rey’s first task would be to get revenge for her parents’ murder and embrace the darkness within.
Rey raised by the Sith Eternal and grooms her to become The Empress is something horrible, but somewhat fascinating
Ben rising to become Luke’s most prominent and powerful apprentices and eventually becomes the Heart of the Jedi(much like Jaina Solo was the Sword of the Jedi)
One grew up in a loving environment and the other grew up in absolute hell.
Rey becomes the fearsome Kira Ren and is known as the beautiful, powerful and deadly Queen Of Ren. Kira Ren rules the Knights Of Ren with an iron fist.
After Ben is Knighted as a Jedi Knight, Ben returns to his family. Leia proud of her son and Han embraces his son in a warm embrace.
Rey is treated like a living weapon by Snoke and The First Order, and by extension Palpatine.
Leia would introduce her son into politics, since he is a Prince of Alderaan, due to some hope that she can guide her son to becoming Chancellor and ushering a new age of peace and prosperity for the New Republic. Afterwords. Han and Ben would fly the Falcon as father and son.
When Luke and Ben are away to visit their family, that is when Kira and the Knights Of Ren would strike the Jedi. Their would be no survivors. Kira would reign lightning down on the temple.
Luke and Ben return and they are broken. Everyone Ben knew and spent nearly his entire life is dead. Luke failed to protect everyone so he goes into exile. Ben feels survivor’s guilt, so Ben cuts himself off from the force and becomes a smuggler with his father
Rey on Takodana would take no chances. She would mind probe Lor San Tekka right then and there and Poe would attempt to save him. This results in a force lobotomy. Rey asks for Poe to be taken to her quarters for interrogation.
One day Ben gets a distress call from Poe and a friend on Jakku. Normally Ben would ignore the Resistance. But...this is a call Ben cannot ignore, the force compels him to. So Ben asks Han to go to Jakku. “A feeling” as he puts it
Han and Ben come to Poe and Finn’s aid.
Poe goes “Ben, thank the force you’re here. You saved our asses.” “I couldn’t leave you old friend”(side note, in a world where Ben never turns, I like to think Ben and Poe would be friends, especially since their parents were close)
Ben and Finn introduce themselves.  this begins a slow but sure friendship between Ben and Finn
Han tells the story of Luke and the Jedi, with Ben looking ashamed of what happened. Finn asks what happened.
During the Raftaar situation. Han and Ben talk out of their ass trying to distract the people coming for Han over the deal gone wrong. Then Finn and Poe would make the save.
On Takodana after Finn leaves, Ben is disappointed, but understands why he lied and respects that he left The First Order, similar to how he left the force.
Ben would be called by Anakin’s Lightsaber. He would receive a force vision similar to Rey’s in canon, but instead of hearing Obi-Wan, Ben would hear Anakin. “Ben, these are your first steps back”
Ben would reject the call and in turn this leads him to Kira Ren
Kira freezes him in place, and hold her Saberstaff to Ben’s throat seductively much like a fencer does to their opponent. Then she sees the map in his mind and learns who he is and she knocks him out. “We have everything we need”
Interrogation happens. Ben does not give in. Ben is able to send it back to her. “You’re afraid that you’ll never be as strong as The Emperor” Rey has never wanted to kill someone as she does now
Snoke and Hux berate her for her failure.
Snoke orders Rey “If what you say is true, then bring young Solo to me”
When Finn and Han comes to rescue Ben, Leia gave Finn Ben’s old Lightsaber. “When you see Ben, give this to him.”
Han knows that his son will never be safe while Snoke and Kira Ren live. So Han makes the sacrifice to ensure that Finn and Ben get a chance to escape
Ben witnesses Rey murdering Han.
Together Ben and Finn faces Kira Ren
Rey knocks out Finn and faces Ben alone. Ben opens himself to the light and scars Rey’s eye. He has her beaten and has her where he wants her to. He want to kill her, but he knows it would not be right. Saves Finn and escapes
Ben reunites with Luke. Rather than handing the lightsaber out to Luke, they smile at each other and embrace each other in a hug
Ben spends the majority of the alternate events of TLJ trying to get Luke to come back. Luke feels like what happened was his fault for letting his guard down
Then begins the Rey and Ben force bonding. In the first bond, Ben reaches for his blaster instantly and fires multiple times. Much to the annoyance of the fish nuns
When comes the second force bond session takes place, in place of a shirtless Ben, Rey would be in a revealing nightie and Ben is like “oh no, she’s hot”
Ben demands to know why she killed his father. Rey wants Ben to know that they are the same and that he must let the past die
In their third session after Ben enters the cave. Rey shows signs of remorse. Basically Rey pulls a Villanelle. “I don’t want to do this anymore” Ben asks her to abandon the dark side “Kira” “That is not my name. I’m Rey.” “I never wanted to....be like this. I wasn’t given a choice. I was kidnapped by my parents’ killer and I was raised by dark side cultists and Snoke. I want to be free and live without the dark side, pain or being told who or what I’m supposed to be.”
This causes conflict between Ben and Luke. Ben believes she can be saved. Luke does not and cannot believe him. “Ben, her grandfather was The Emperor and she was raised to take his place, she killed our fellow Jedi and friends. She is beyond help.” “My grandfather was beyond redemption, but you still took a chance on him. I’m asking you to help me do the same.”
Rey and Ben would have a similar yearning scene in the elevator. Though Rey is more hungry than Ben. Ben would promise to help Rey.
Snoke toys with Ben “I once thought you could’ve been Vader’s Heir when I found you, but when the heir of Palpatine was found, I had all I needed.  After I kill you, Skywalker and the rest of your bloodline will die with you.”
Rey kills Snoke and together Rey and Ben fight off the Praetorian Guards.
Ben fights more Jedi like, while Rey is feral and shows no mercy
Rey makes the same proposal that Ben did in canon. Ben begs her to call off the fleet. Rey shows her true colors. “Snoke was an obstacle and you helped me eliminate him. Now The First Order is mine. Join me Ben. Let us rule as equals and bring a new order to the galaxy.” Ben is horrified and the struggle for Ben’s Lightsaber begins, it shatters and then the hyperspace ramming happens.
Hux demands to know what happened. “Solo killed Snoke” “We have no leader.” “No, but you have your Empress” “How dare you presume to command me” Rey force chokes Hux. “Long live the Empress”
Rey faces Luke Skywalker. Rey intends to exact revenge for her grandfather’s “death” and Luke intends to wear her down. Similar to Kylo in canon, Luke dies to how he did in canon, denying Rey the revenge she craved and Rey lets out a force scream that leaves a crater on Crait
Rey and Ben take one last look at each other and Ben severs their connection.
There would be a 5 year timeskip. In that time Ben would rebuild his Lightsaber as a Crossguard Lightsaber. Leia helps Ben on the path to becoming Chancellor. With Rose’s help, they unblock the galactic wide scrambler and Leia’s message and later Ben’s message helps rally the galaxy to the Resistance’s cause. The Resistance is now once again The New Republic. And with the hope Ben instills, he has proven himself as their leader, while Finn and Poe are his generals
Rey would be on the mission to kill anyone who stands in her way and crushing the hope within the galaxy that Ben created.
Rey and her Knights would hunt for the Wayfinders.
After uncovering the Wayfinder, Rey travels to Exegol
Palpatine goads her granddaughter into killing him. “I have been every voice, inside your head. Guiding you to this very moment. Ochi killed your parents on my orders to bring you before me. It is your destiny to kill me and take your place as Empress of the SIth Eternal and the Final Order.” Rey kills Palpatine and truly becomes Empress
Rey broadcasts a message to the galaxy. One simple message. Bow down to your Empress or die. She has the means to destroy everyone in days. She gives a message to the chancellor and his fellow brand of  usurpers. Find the Wayfinder before it’s too late.
Despite everything she’s done and her plans for the galaxy, Ben believes there is a spark of light in Rey. There is hope for her. Ben confides in Finn about this. Finn does not believe any hope for Rey. “You left The First Order, if anyone knows about second chances, it’s you” Finn can’t argue there.
While Ben is searching for the Wayfinder. Finn, Rose and Jannah would launch a Stormtrooper Rebellion, which results in turning The First Order’s Stormtroopers against TFO and gives The New Republic the edge they need over The Final Order. This also results in Hux’s capture
Instead of Rey and Ben fighting on nearly every world, Ben would instead be fighting the Knights Of Ren and the Sith Troopers
Ben would be facing a dark reflection on what he could’ve been, Kylo Ren on the Death Star ruins
Finally, Ben goes to Exegol to face Rey and hopefully stop her from herself or do what must be done
Empress Rey ignites her Saberstaff and gives Ben a final chance to join her.
They fight. It’s raw, powerful and tragic. It’s Duel Of Fates meets ROTJ Throne Room fight.
When Ben thinks he’s won the duel by slicing her Saberstaff in two, Ben reaches out, but Rey shocks him with a torrent of force lightning.
Rey hesitates to kill Ben. She doesn’t want this, the only person who understands her and Ben cannot bring himself to kill Rey despite everything she’s done.
Ultimately neither can kill the other
Ben attempts once more to reach out to Rey. “Rey, I know you never wanted to be what they made you to be. You are not your grandfather. Let’s end this together.” For a brief moment Rey stops the lightning. Then Rey struggles for control
“I can’t stop, he controls me now. Kill me and save the galaxy.”
Ben refuses. “there has to be another way. You are stronger than him”
Together Rey and Ben would work together to force Palpatine’s spirit out of Rey.
Rey and Ben extinguishes Palpatine’s spirit once and for all. Rey is finally free
The war is over and as Chancellor of the New Republic and Empress of The First Order. A truce is called.
Together Rey and Ben will usher in a new age of healing, peace and prosperity for the galaxy.

@mandalorianxtraitor Liked for a starter with Breha Organa.
Alderaan was a peaceful planet, they had no weapons, so to be approached by someone with a blaster on their hip was strange for Breha, but she kept her calm demeanor.
"I'm afraid dear friend, we don't hold with blasters and other weapons on Alderaan, if you wish to speak to me, you'll have to surrender your weapons."

None of the Alderaanians gave up a single name of anyone they knew at the park. They all claimed that the park was too crowded, they didn't know anyone that day, or maybe they would provide a first name, a common name that would be impossible to trace. Hydra even interviewed the children and drew the same response. It was obvious that the children had been prepared as well as the adults.    It reminded [Ferus] of the solidarity and courage of the resistance on his homeworld of Bellassa. It made him proud.
