I don’t think originality is dead,, it’s just up to perspective and portrayal, an idea based on a concept can shift and become a new experience. It could mean something different to someone, give a new insight someone hasn’t thought of before.
The story with something to say is always worth telling, don’t let the thought of “is it original?’’ Stop you.
naw pls i gotta ask u, how do u come up with all those funny and wholesome ideas 😭😭 like the wrestling scene with toby OR HIM CHASING VIRUS BOY WITH A FLAMING STICK bc for the life of me whenevr i try to think of funny character interactions my brain just flops and that makes me rlly sad 🙁🙁🙁
Oh my god Trust that I Am on That Same Boat with you!!
Most of the time when I try to think of smthg funny n wholesome, it’s turns out so cheesy and like,, entirely unfunny and ooc :/
It takes me Multiple tries of writing it out & trying to rework a scene until it eventually (hopefully) turns out decent
I wish I could offer more advice, but all I can say is don’t be afraid to make a bad scene for ur first draft!! You can always come back to smthg later & figure it out then ^^
