hasn't their entire relationship been some sort of lie ? falling into bed had been convenience at best ... desperation at worst . she had loved him since the moment she had met him , since the moment he had smiled at her . he'd looked her way with those beautiful baby blues and her heart had skipped a beat and she'd agreed to work with the sons , to be some sort of consultant or whatever they wanted to call her . she'd never chased him , never chased any of the bikers ... she'd wanted to be seen as something more than a crow eater , more than a blonde that could be bent over the nearest pool table when whiskey was passed around the club house .

and all of that had broken the moment tara died . she'd been there for him , had held him and coaxed him through the worst of fallout , had held his hand and pushed him towards some sort of new normal . and somehow that had ended with them falling into bed time and time again ... a mistake . a mistake she knows she would have made all over again if given the chance because there's some part of her that still hopes he'll wake up one morning and realize that it's always been her , that he loves her ... instead of being tied to her by a growing life inside of her .

she sits in a rocking chair , surrounded by the pieces of a nursery yet to be built . months ago she could have done this on her own , could have turned up the music and put it all together . but now she has to force a smile , hand on a slight bump with lips pursed as she waits for jax to get started .
