(Going insane boinkinh one AU in my head)

(Slowly slides my FaaF AU towards you but void just Disappears without a trace one day before the accolade)

#thylacines can talk #faaf au #i love this au very yummy. a very fun twist on how Flower's dynamic with their parents would progress afterwards #the vessels live but the void exits their bodies in quite a violent manner (extreme pain and literally throwing up an entire person worth of #void). Flower was on guard duty and theyre found barely conscious in a pool of rapidly evaporating void. passes out seconds later #PK also had the displeasure of experiencing extene pain and burning as void forced its way out through his skin <3 And his moulds all melted #and evaporated. after the initial shock wears off theyre hit with “Oh No #the vessel“ and rush to find them. Well somebody else was already looking for the royal pair about this #Flower wakes up dazed and in pain in their father's workshop. their stomach hurts their throat burns and they feel lightheaded. the entire #place is considerably brighter than they remember and in they can hear two faint voices in the background but theyre too preoccupied with #examining their now pure white hand in shock to focus on anything else. until they hear their mother say “My wyrm they're awake” and #suddenly their parents are by their side. Now the two have no idea what void leaving their body might have done to them. Are they still #hollow? are they still dead? do they understand anything are they sentient? or was what was done pernament even without the void? do they #have the mind of a child if their sentience was restored? or do they remember anything? So WL stays by their side and helps them sit up #while their father goes to grab his tools. She's trying to keep them calm and comfort them but theyre still too disoriented to pay her much #attention. Until their father checks their breathing and they yelp audibly from the cool metal contacting their skin and suddenly they seem #much more alert. theyve never experienced true coldness before. PK quickly apologises and tries to be gentler with them. Theyre breathing #properly and they have a heartbeat. And he just pauses for a long while just. listening to their heart beating. Many emotions to be had #after the exam's over he asks them point blank how theyre feeling. And Flower looks up at him still seeming a little disoriented. and then #they lower their hand to their stomach and mutter 'My tummy hurts...a-and my throat burns'. It's to be expected after the way the void #left their body. so he goes to grab them some water and meds and they also ask for food and a mirror. And after he returns they just stare #at themself in the mirror and pull on their bangs for a while then blurt out 'I have your eyes' when PK asks if everything's okay. And he #and he almost chokes up as he replies 'Yeah...Yeah you do'. Flower eventually spins a lie that they remember everything but its all distant #and blurry. Like they were not aware until now. They figured it'd be better to not break their hearts #And now the three have to figure out how to be a family while PK is also scrambling to find a new solution to the infection #oops i meant to only give a brief rundown in the tags which is why it was in the tags. but i got too invested KDHDKFB

“master, if we don't go soon- oh! i-i’m sorry,” collei squeaks when her violet eyes find your sleeping form hunched over on your desk, which is covered in countless papers, your arms acting as your pillow and your lips slightly open.

undoubtedly, you had been working on something and fallen asleep somewhen last night. as your soft snore fills the now-silent room, her teacher, who had been standing beside you right by your desk and motioned her to quieten down, smiles and closes the book in his hand with a soft thump.

“i’ll be there in ten minutes,” tighnari says, his tone gentle and the young ranger knows whenever her teacher takes that tone, it must concern you.

she nods wordlessly and leaves the two of you, giggling into her palms as a cloud of pink blush dust her cheeks.

back in your shared room, the fox hybrid sighs when his eyes fixes on the uncomfortable position you’re in. his arms, trained from wielding his signature bow and climbing sumeru’s terrain, wrap carefully around you, taking care to not jostle you too much as he moves your peacefully snoozing form over to your bed. after he safely tucks you in, he glances towards the desk, or more specifically, the journal that had taken his interest.

…. well, he still has at least five minutes to spare.

Muichiro reminds you you’re his Tsuguko.

A crow flew overhead alerting you and Muichiro of some Kanoto ranks in danger from a demon nearby. You both took off immediately to help them and take care of the demon.

Upon arrival, Muichiro let you handle the demon while he moved the lower ranks out of danger.

The demon wasn't challenging so it was the perfect time to try out some new techniques you just learned and had been practicing with Muichiro.

Muichiro observed taking mental notes of how you were doing when he overheard the lower ranks talking behind him.

"Wow, they are incredible," one said, watching you battle the demon.

"Not to mention beautiful too, think I could ask them on a date?" The other asked.

"Yeah right like they would ever give you the time of day," the first one replied laughing.

Muichiro scrunched his nose up in disgust but didn't turn around to face the Kanoto's. Of course, you wouldn’t be interested in any of those swordsmen he thought.

Or would you? The thought of you accompanying one of them on a date suddenly made him feel ill. He blinked hard, forcing the image out of his mind, and focused back on how you were doing. The lower ranks were right, you were doing amazing and it was stunning to watch.

You finished off the demon and made your way over to Muichiro and the other swordsmen.

"Are you all ok?" You asked them.

"They are fine with only minor injuries," Muichiro answered before any of them could speak to you.

"Oh, that's great! Do any of you need help getting to your next destination?” You asked, but again Muichiro spoke for them standing in between you and them.

"Their next destination is a Wisteria House not too far from here. Surely they can make that journey on their own. If they can't, they should quit the demon slayer corps now." He said sharply, turning his head to side-eye them. "Ask for us, we have much more work to do today and should be off." He said, and motioned for you to follow him in the opposite direction of the Kanoto ranks.

"Ok bye then, safe travels!" You said waving at the Kanoto ranks and following Muichiro.

"Geez, the Hashira are all real pieces of work aren't they?" You heard one Kanoto say as you departed. If Muichiro heard, he didn't care to dignify the lower rank with a response.

"How did I do Tokito?" You decided to ask, pushing the Kanoto's statement out of your mind.

"You did great, excellent work using your breathing techniques. We just have to work on getting you faster." He replied.

"Oh wow really! Thank you!" You said beaming at his praise. Sure he had some notes of improvement, but Muichiro always did. The fact that he had anything nice to say at all meant you must have done exceptionally well.

"I'm not the only one that thought so either," he said.

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"Those lower ranks seemed to be captivated by you. One wanted to ask you on a date."

"Oh!" You exclaimed, feeling a blush creep onto your cheeks.

"You should know though, you're my Tsuguko and you don't have time for trivial matters such as that," Muichiro stated.

This caused you to process the scene just now. Specifically, the way Muichiro refused to let you speak to the Kanoto's, and how he ensured to stay physically between you and them. A small smirk found its way to your lips. Was Muichiro really just trying to keep you focused on training? Or was something else going on here, you wondered.

"That's fine. I wouldn't be interested in any of their company anyway." You said teasingly.

"No?" Muichiro asked and turned to face you.

"Nope. I'm only interested in one swordsman's company."

Muichiro's eyes widened in curiosity, "what swordsman is that?" He asked.

"You of course." You said, and Muichiro swiftly turned back around, but you could have sworn you saw his face flush before he did.

A window pops up in the void of digital space, an invitation with a 'yes' and 'no' option to join a new game: Half Life. A sentient hand cursor hovering before it goes: "oh yeahh, new game. yeah, duh," before clicking on the 'yes' option. Said cursor is then gifted a body to explore the game in. It is a short, round body with a stark shadow across the eyes that never seems to go away - a body we recognise as Benrey. He blows a rasberry at the scientist uniform and lab coat the game assigns him first and complains: "aw boo, don't wanna be no nerd. lil nerd boy." His outfit swaps itself for a military uniform. Unimpressive. "this game got no good skins or somethin'?" he says. Finally, the game settles on a security guard outfit. Benrey adjusts his new helmet: "oh wait no, this one's cool."

The words "Role Generating…" pop up over his head, and he pokes at it with a finger and grins: "heyy, not an NPC anymore. nice." His attention is drawn to a new character materialising nearby to his left, namely Gordon Freeman, a white bespectacled man in an HEV suit. There are words floating above this character too, and Benrey reads it aloud: "pro-tag-on-ist." Protagonist. Benrey flashes a cheeky grin: "a pro, huh? we'll see about that, noob."

3 more characters in scientist uniforms materialise to his right, which prompts a soft "wuh?" from Benrey. The nearest character is a tall Chinese man, followed by an old, balding and portly white gentleman with a mustache, and then a thin elderly white man with glasses. Above the 3, namely Tommy, Dr Coomer, and Bubby respectively, is the title "AI". "yo, nerd boys alert. they look cool, though," Benrey says, and his gaze floats off dreamily as he continues, "man, we're gonna be great friends. no more baby script for Benny boy, he's all evolved now-" He's cut off abruptly by his own floating title finally settling on a role for him. "Antagonist", it reads. The game begins counting down to its initation, and he stares at his role title with a look of what might be concern on his face before it switches to disappointment. "man, i don't wanna be an ant," he says. The game starts.

When you wanna have sentient fun times outside of reading NPC dialogue scripts with your new AI buddies but the game makes you an ant.

"what chapter are you on?? it gets so good after five," you rambled, leaning towards the boy with an excited glimmer in your eyes that jason was rapidly falling in love with

"just finished five. it's gets better than that?" he questioned, attempting a joke and earning giggles from you.

jason beamed a soft smile, taking it from your hands like it was the finest gold.

"that was very sweet, y/n," mused jason, which left both of you blushing

you quickly stole his book from him and marched away

jason was eager to read the book, shooing away everyone so he could lay in his cabin the whole day and read what you had to say about the book

naturally, the highlighter and tabs were color coded, a little legend in your handwriting at the start of the book

this was the most jason ever smiled while reading a damn book and it was because of you

he finished the damn thing in one day, refusing to stop until he was done

the very last annotation had jason jumping out of his bed and racing out of his cabin in search of you

there, on the last page, in light blue pen it read, "now, when are you going to catch on that i like you and ask me on a date, jason grace?"

it did it a lightening fast speed, finding you and the words to ask you on a date falling out of his lips

you just smirked up at him, nodding your head in agreement

typically, most dates consist of you and jason hanging out in his cabin and reading

sometimes you sit in jason's lap, or you guys are just next to each other, or you guys are other sides of the cabin

it doesn't really matter as long as youre together

when you guys take snack breaks, you explain everything that's happened in your books since the last snack break

jason made you a bookmark, putting his own sketches on there of an owl and an eagle

you called him cheesy but also haven't been seen without it since soooo

you like to steal jason's glasses away, putting them on your face as he tries to take them back

"now im gonna finish my book first! ha!" you cheer, snatching his glasses and taking rapid steps to the other side of the cabin

"get back here!! this is ableist!!" he calls after you, trying his best to find you with his blurry vision

you gently put them back on his face after he catches you in his arms, planting a soft kiss to his lips

"hmmm. you look better as a blurry blob," he smirks, the look on his face giving away that he doesn't mean a word of it

The next time Hawk came to training, it was oddly quiet. His friends were acting weird and his senseis were tense. Though it wasn't unusual for Mr. LaRusso to glare at the back of Sensei Lawrence's head, Hawk knew that his friends were being strange. They were giving each other looks and whispering to each other. At one point he was sure he heard Demetri seething at Robby about how "your dad has gotten into your head!"

For the most part, Hawk ignored them. He had too much on his mind to pay attention to their weird antics anyway. Besides, his birthday was coming up, so he brushed it off as something having to do with that.

His mind was occupied with thoughts of his girlfriend. He'd been helping her much more lately now that she had finally moved into her own place with her baby daughter. He'd helped her stock the fridge and pantry, watched her daughter while she showered and got ready in the morning, and helped her unpack her new place. It was a lot to adjust to and he didn't like that she was trying to do it all on her own, so he was there. She didn't have to do it alone anymore.

Part of him was still amazed by her strength and determination; it wasn't easy being a single, young mom to an infant, especially in today's economy. And her daughter, who was the most adorable baby ever, was still struggling to sleep through the night now that they had moved. He stayed the night to help out because to be so strong, Mama needed her rest too. Plus, he wanted to be there for her because he loved her so much. He also loved her daughter.

As they finished up their round of drills, he took a seat and drank some water. Their next course of action would be sparring and then he could go to Reader's apartment to spend the evening with her.

It was at this time he noticed his friends flocked together, whispering again. The more they did it, the more he didn't like it. However, before anything could be said or done, his phone rang.

It was Reader. Her caller ID popped up, a picture of her and her baby showing up and making him smile.

He answered immediately. "Hey, babe."

"Eli," her worried voice came through the phone and he was put on high alert. "My car won't start. I need you to come jump-start it, please."

If he had been holding anything else, he would have literally dropped it and left. He was on his feet in a flash and grabbing his bag. "Okay, don't worry, I'm on my way."

He didn't notice the way his friends and senseis were looking at him. How they made note of his sudden desire to leave. They weren't his concern though.

"Oh my gosh, thank you," Reader said. He heard the relief in her voice and it helped him, but she was still stranded somewhere. Then she started talking to her baby, who was likely on her hip. "You hear that, baby girl? Eli's gonna come help us."

At hearing his name, Reader's daughter squealed and clapped her hands. She loved him and knew him by name already, always excited when she heard he was coming over. It melted his heart.

"Where are you two?"

"Doctor's office," Reader said. "No one has any jumper cables, can you believe that?"

"Well, no one has as old a car as you do," he lightly joked.

She gasped playfully. "Old Reliable isn't that old."

He hummed. "Yeah, that's what you said last time when you told me that was your mom's car in high school, and yet here we are."

He dug through his duffle bag for his keys.

"I'll be there soon, okay?"

He heard her smile as she spoke. "Okay. Love you. Mwah!"

"Mwah!" her daughter did in the background.

"Love you, too," Hawk said and hung up the phone. He slipped it into his pocket, still looking for his keys. "Dammit, where'd they go?"

Mr. LaRusso walked up to him curiously. "Something wrong, Hawk?"

He looked up, a little apprehensive to share. "Uh, yeah. I gotta go. Now if only I could find my keys."

"Everything okay? Anything we can help you with?" Sam asked as she walked over. She looked all too curious for his liking and he cursed the LaRussos for being so kind and helpful because it made them snoop into everyone else's business.

"No, I don't need any help," he said, throwing his bag down to look inside of it. However, instead of anything helpful happening, it turned over and his change of clothes fell out with several other items.

Including Baby Girl's rattle.

It rolled across the patio loudly.

"I knew it!" Sensei Lawrence shouted.

Daniel turned to the man, who was pointing an accusatory finger at Hawk. "Johnny, please!"

"No, man, I was right!" He looked so smug and Hawk was so confused. "Now you have to admit that I was right, LaRusso."

"I can't believe this," Miguel said. Demetri was standing beside him with a look of disbelief. "How could you not tell us?"

"What are you talking about?" Hawk asked, grabbing the rattle and tossing it back into his bag. Reader's daughter loved throwing her toys into his bags, probably a ploy to make him have to come over and return them. At the bottom of the bag, he found his keys. "Aha."

"We're talking your baby," Sam said, using that tone that said 'obviously.'

Robby added, "And the girlfriend you didn't tell us about. At all."

Hawk turned to look at them with a furrowed brow, then closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and collected his thoughts. "Okay, I think I know the problem all of you have had all day now." He looked at his friends and senseis with a slightly annoyed look but tried to keep a level head. "Yes, I have a girlfriend I didn't tell you about. I didn't tell you about her because she has a baby. Not my baby but I do help take care of her when Reader gets overwhelmed."

Johnny visibly deflated at this news. Then he stupidly asked, "You sure it's not your kid?"

"I met her after she had her daughter," Hawk nearly shouted. She grabbed his bag, held onto his keys tightly, and huffed. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go jump-start Reader's car. Ask me all your questions later and let me go."

He walked to the front of Miyagi-Do without another word, leaving his closest friends, his other teammates, and Sensei Lawrence in a stupor. Then Miguel and Demetri shared a smile.

"I knew he wouldn't keep something like that from us," Miguel said.

Johnny looked at them. "Oh yeah? Then why didn't he tell us to begin with?"

Tory groaned. "Oh my god. You're all big idiots, letting something like this blind you to the truth. He didn't tell us because that's none of his business to tell! Grow a brain why don't you."

No one at Purgatory Hall had heard from them either, and Lucifer was loathed to contact the castle and alert them as well.

“Well, they must be somewhere,” Satan rationalized, “they couldn’t just disappear.”

“What if they did disappear?”

“Humans don’t just disappear, Mammon.” He replied.

“This human??”

Lucifer and Satan both shrugged knowingly with a nod at Mammon’s remark. They supposed he did have a point.

“I’m going to go search the grounds.” Lucifer decided and went to get his cloak. “They obviously aren’t in the house, so they must be elsewhere.”

“Oh yeah. Brilliant deduction.” Mammon jabbed as he followed his older brother. “Yes, if they aren’t in the house they must be in the infinite other places a person could be.”

“Do you have a better idea?” Satan asked, also tagging along towards the closet.

“I said put a tracking spell on them months ago! But you all said that was creepy & weird!”

“It is creepy & weird.” Satan told Mammon. “They aren’t a dog you can just ID tag without their consent.”

“I’m not saying it like that! I’m saying like ‘find my phone’ or ‘track my location’ on the app. You guys are the one making it weird!”

“Gentleman,” The brothers turn to look towards their eldest, who was staring in the closet fondly. “They’re in here.” The boys look over Lucifer’s shoulder to find [Y/N] tucked up in a little ball, sleeping amongst the coats in the closet.

“What the hell are they doing in there?!” Satan & Lucifer hiss a shush at Mammon. “What the hell are they doing in there?!” He repeated in a whisper.

“They must have fallen asleep and lost track of time.” Satan deduced.

“Sure, but why are they in the closet?!”

“Privacy?”

“That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard! They have a bedroom! Sleep in there and lock it!”

“Belphie sleeps in closets sometimes.”

“Belphie once almost fell asleep in a bowl of soup and drowned. He’s not the example for what is normal when it comes to sleeping!”

“Levi sleeps in a tub.”

“That’s not normal either!!”

“Let’s just leave them here for now.” Lucifer decided and quietly shut the door. “We know where they are now, and that’s the important thing.”

“I still don’t get it. Like…sleeping on the couch or at a desk I get, but a closet.”

“Maybe it’s not for us to get.” Satan told Mammon as they left [Y/N] alone to sleep.

“We each have our own little oddities. By the way,” Lucifer commented as he turned to Mammon, “that ‘sleeping at a desk’ better be hypothetical, if you know what’s good for you.”

Mammon gulped and insisted it was purely hypothetical. Now he wished he could sleep in a closet for the night to stay safe from Lucifer.

Awwweeeeeee! Thank you so much for the warm welcoming!! And I apologise for this long-lasting delay! Alas, life isn't always helpful with time management... I'm so glad to have finally kicked off this blog after lurking in the twist tag on Tumblr for like 2 years... And another 1 of having no time ...Yeah. N e ways, I'm so happy somebody requested Heartslabyul! I have some sugary sweetness for Deuce, which I was dying to write! I hope you enjoy the read!

Riddle Rosehearts

Riddle swears, that he is treating you no different than any other student. That, of course, is a farce, but god forbid anybody tells him so. What do you mean he is more lenient? No he's not.

That is until you accidentally break a rule and he lets it slide with a sigh and a pat on the head? A PAT? ON THE HEAD?! FrOM THE DORM LEADER OF HEARTSLABYUL?!

Aside from his apparent softness, he also goes above and beyond to offer his help whenever needed. Homework troubles? Study dates. Ramshackle problems? He's ALREADY storming into Crowley's office. Caught the cold? Prepare to be treated with just the right medicine and just the right warm herbal tea. Oh no. He insists to help. No, it is of no bother to him.

His pining is the respectful, gentlemanly pining. In his eyes, you are his treasure. His love is also very pure and even a simple brush of the shoulders would make his heart skip a beat.

Ace Trappola

Everytime you talk about something that you like, he would be looking at you as if you were a shooting star in the night aky. He would have the warmest, most lovestruck gaze you'll ever see. (which of course you don't notice, otherwise it MIGHT just not be pining anymore 👀) He'd totally hide it of course.

His pining consists of him constantly trying to impress you. Why don't you go cheer him on during basketball practice? "Hey, hey y/n! Look at this!" He then proceeds to try a new parkour trick. Did he succeed? Yes. Did he accidentally scrape his knee when landing? Also yes. Did you end up patching him up? Of course. And he was bathing in attention.

His pining is annoying, but loving. The "Hey, I know it's like 2am, but I have about a dozen bags of popcorn. We're pulling an all-nighter." You don't ask how and why, you just roll with it.

His goal is to make you laugh. Everytime you laugh at one of his jokes, he puffs out his chest and mentally, and sometimes physically, pats his shoulder. And he just can't help but smile himself.

"You're super pretty y'know?"

Deuce Spade

Oh the poor poor baby. He already has a hard time expressing his emotions, imagine having a crush. He'd be constantly bashful around you, speaking in a very soft manner to you, occasionally stuttering, especially when TRYING to give you a compliment.

"Oh...you want us to walk together to class? Yes of course! I mean- sure. Yes. Okay. Great. "

His pining is simultaneously childlike in nature, and very mature. Innocent glances and rosy cheeks, carrying your stuff, or *insisting* to do it, constantly making sure you're okay, you're comfortable, you're good.

Everytime you would study together, he'd casually scoot closer, just a little bit, just to feel the closure. He hasn't had any experience with love, so these feelings are very new for him. His pining comes in the form of inspiration - to be the best possible version of himself, for you and your future. So pat him on the head, kiss his cheek and tell him he's doing a good job. He deserves it, doesn't he?

Trey Clover

Trey has always been shown as the perfect, slightly more domestic man, who'd treat you with homemade sweets and care for you. And while he would, there is a lot more than meets the eye.

I feel like his pining would consist of clever flirtation, usually followed by a quiet chuckle. You never truly know if this is real flirting, or just him being very charming. (spoiler alert: it's both) And the worst part about it is that he gets you every time.

He'd care for you in ways too tender to be considered out of pure friendship, yet keep you at JUST enough of a distance to leave you questioning, WHILE also throwing flirtatious remarks at you.

His pining is shown through gentle touches and charming smiles, teasing good-natured remarks and a lot of healthy communication. If he sees that you're responding positively to his small yet meaningful advances, he'd get over himself rather quickly and ask you out. He's a down to earth guy with a down to earth heart.

Cater Diamond

Oof, a mess.

No really. Carter's mind and heart are at a standstill. Because obviously you wouldn't like the real him, right? He should move on and continue doing what he does best, but also..... It sounds so nice, holding hands, being highschool sweethearts, posting couple selfies, having somebody to confide in.....

His pining is hard, and nearly unbearable for him, long and arduous. He often stares at you and if you're extra vigilant, you'll notice how sometimes his gaze doesn't quite reach you. His mind is running laps, and his heart is like a beat drum.

And sometimes, just sometimes, his carefully created façade drops and suddenly, that stare turns so deep, piercing, longing. Only to be laughed off moments later.

His laugh around you may be loud, but his gentle smiles are very real, and reserved just for you.
