I'm calling this one Goldenrod.
I'm so excited about this bag. I just finished the last details. It's a bag that has a clear plastic pouch for pins. The panel for pins is removable to make putting the pins on and off easier. The clear plastic keeps any pins from getting lost, at the same time the crochet panel behind the pins keeps any pin-backs from getting lost.
I made this cute bag for myself, which is why it's yellow lol. It's for keeping my handheld 3DS game systems in as well as all my 3DS games.
Also: meet Nancy. She's wearing boxers b\c I'm a guy and I can't find her shorts so that's the best I could do XD Hopefully you'll see more of Nancy in the future. Hopefully I will find her shorts by then.
~The Details:
Like some of my other bags I used plastic grid sheets to give more support and structure to the base and walls.
I used 100% cotton yarn on this one for the durability. The yellow and brown is cotton.
Inside there's a black panel divider, it's made from caron simply soft. The panel for putting pins on is polyester fabric sewed onto a plastic grid panel. The panel of clear plastic is from an old used clear backpack I've been savaging from. The clear panel has some embroidery floss as well, where the crochet attaches to the plastic.
On the bottom of the bag I put buttons intended for denim jeans, just to provide a little extra protection for the crochet, but it also adds a little polish to the overall look.
On the sides and bottom is a nylon strip I upcycled from an old camera bag, as well as the strap. The tag on the front says Freedom; I just happened to have it leftover from when I used to do jewelry making. The buttons are just cheap plastic buttons bought in a variety jar.
I had a lot of fun making this and now my 3ds games have a place to live <3
