Why you hate Mobox?

Why do I hate Mobox? Now now, I don't hate her, nono.

I actually used to be a huge fan of hers when I was younger and she was a big inspiration to me till I got bored of fnaf and got to know many other artists that inspired me, so I sort of stopped watching her content for many years... but! After all that time when I've heard around about what horrible things she's done (and is still doing, some at least) and how blind I was as a child, I was disgusted and like-.. So disappointed. It was shock for sure, these things should never be normalized to neither minors or just.. All people in general. I'm grateful to those people who stood up and started warning people about this, they all have my greatest support!

Some people still aren't willing to accept even their biggest idols can turn out to be terrible people. Sadly that's a reality, humans are humans - unpredictable. I think it's important for people to explore other artists as well and find their own creative way to depict their favorite fandom, instead of blindly defending their idol who's a horrible person and making such a big deal out a really good criticism when in a few years they will most probably barely even remember her.

That's my personal opinion, of course. I'm not telling anybody what they should think, go and believe what you want to. But I do advice taking a bit of time to sit down and actually let all the things related to this go through your head and who knows, perhaps some of you may find themself sitting on the same side of the table as me!

All in all, people should finally understand the difference between hate/harassment and criticism.

Thank you very much for asking, it's nice to know people haven't given up on this blog yet 😅

Yes, I am technically going to be around for season 3. Even though Sirena is clearly gonna take a bit of a backseat (not least because we've seen her lower deck redressed as a different set in the trailers already), she is still there and I will definitely try to do some blogging about her, at the very latest once the season airs.

Unfortunately, I've been struggling with a fun array of health issues for the last few months, which is why the blog has essentially gone dark for now. I can't tell yet when things are gonna let up, but I sincerely hope I'll be able to get back to blogging in the not too distant future.

The one fannish thing I have been able to keep up with recently has been my 3D modelling in Sketchup. I really need to try and occasionally throw some screenshots of that on here, but I also know better than to make promises 🙈

So, in the spirit of anticipation of Things To Come Once I Get Better (hopefully soon), have a bit of a screenshot dump to tide you over ;)

I think way back when, I already shared a bunch of my furniture models? But here they are again! (I'm still re-doing the bed, so that one's not in this collection yet)

I also recently decided to tackle the holodeck, since that is a bit like a standalone component that was added into the ship after the fact, so I didn't have to struggle with the support beams, which have become the bane of my existence 😅

The most large-scale part of the ship I have been working on are the stairs from the bridge to the lower deck, the lower deck walkway, and the stairs at the back of the ship. Last night, I started adding the floor of the bridge itself, but the model is now getting too complex, so I'll probably be working on the the parts individually going forward.

And finally, I've also started to experiment with rendering, though that one still has some ways to go (not least because it's hampered by the fact I'm working on a laptop with no graphics card 🙈 But I'm hopeful I'll have a remedy for that soon(ish)

So that's the update from mapping world. I really hope I'll be able to get back to things soon, and I will make an effort to answer questions if you want to send in any, though again: I'm afraid I can't make any promises.

One AU I've been thinking about - stolen from @thiscryptidischronicallyyours, in revenge for her always stealing my ideas - is one I titled tamahagane, after the Japanese steel used in swords, knives, and some tools.

In the aftermath of the war and the Agni Kai, no one is really sure what to do with Azula. There's a large argument between the Gaang, Zuko, Mai, Ty Lee, Hakoda, and the White Lotus, one that finally culminates in Hakoda and probably Ty Lee getting very angry, and Piandao realizing he does, in fact, know someone who might be able to help: a reclusive but talented swordsman (or swordswoman, I never decided) and master swordsmith.

Azula is sent to live with them, and as frustrating as it starts out for her...it's the best thing that ever could have happened to her.

Hiya Anonymous!

One thing I definitely appreciate about this season is how it's addressing some mental illness. It is frustrating to me that the only answer that comes out of that is to talk about it and it'll subside. (until the next episode, at least) And I keep having to remind myself that he's 16. For humans, it is not unusual to undergo vast personality shifts during this period, so it allows me, at least, an acceptable explanation.

Also, an acceptable explanation why kids < 13 are so much funner than teenagers, then when they get around 20 they're at least relatable usually.

I kid, of course. The sheer volatility of the teenage years makes them my favorites. I also find the teenage years the most fascinating developmentally, from an outsider's perspective.
