Robbie on Robbie 24: "I fit that description perfectly"

RJ was getting the restaurant ready for the lunch shift. Casey, Theo, and Lily were at the Pai Zhua teaching and Fran and Dom were still in Europe, so he had the whole restaurant to himself. He was listening to chill music as he moved around the space completing his tasks.
He was moping the floor humming along with song, when he heard a sharp knock on the front door’s glass.
He looked up to find a blonde man he recognized very well. It was his old boss, Billy Cranston.
“Billy?” he asked, concern crossing his face. He opened the door to let Billy in.
“Good morning, RJ, how have you been?” Billy asked as he walked in.
“Not as well as you but I can’t complain,” RJ replied with a smile.
Billy looked around at the restaurant, appreciating the attention to detail. “Nice restaurant.”
“I wouldn’t have it without you,” RJ said, still smiling. He set the mop against the wall and closed the door. “What can I do for you?”
Billy took a moment to reply. “I saw you updated the Ranger database with your team’s information.”
RJ let out a chuckle. “Yeah, I thought it best to just upload the information directly.”
“You called yourself the Wolf Master,” Billy started.
“Yes, from the Pai Zhua." He put his hands on his chest. "My animal spirit is the wolf.”
Billy looked at him for a couple of seconds. “So is mine.” He said this as if he was admitting to a murder.
RJ’s face lit up with joy. Both his eyes and smile widened. “Really?”
“Yes.”
“Wow! I have never met another wolf before.” RJ sounded genuinely happy and that made Billy smile.
“It says you’re its Master,” Billy continued, sitting in one of the booths. RJ joined him, taking off his zebra print bandana. “What does that mean, exactly?”
“That I live in harmony with it,” RJ started, gesticulating wildly in his joy. “That we work as a team, and, of course, that I know the wolf technique. Why do you ask?”
“The wolf technique?” Billy asked, intrigued.
“Yes. It’s a Kung Fu style,” RJ said with a dismissing gesture.
“I have been looking for some sort of wolf master for years,” Billy admitted, looking at RJ's face.
“Well,” RJ said, still smiling. “I fit that description perfectly.”
Billy looked at RJ in the eye. “Do you teach how to control one’s animal spirit? How to fight with it instead of against it?”
“Yes. I am a master of the Pai Zhua.”
“Can you teach me?”
RJ sat there, just staring at Billy. Billy looked away from him, studying the restaurant again.
“I would love to.”
Billy looked at RJ again and found him smiling pleasantly, his face still illuminated with joy, like a dream had come true for him.
“Will I have to join the Pai Zhua?” Billy asked.
RJ shrugged. “Not if you don’t want to.”
“When can we start?”
“This afternoon, if you’re available,” was the excited response.
“How about tomorrow morning?”
“That works fine for me too!”
“Great,” Billy said, getting up. He walked towards the door. “I can’t wait to get started,” he added, with a genuine and warm smile towards RJ, who had gotten up to follow him to the door.
“Me either. See you tomorrow.”
“See you tomorrow.”
Billy exited the restaurant and RJ’s eyes followed him as far as he could.
RJ moved to the jukebox to change the song to a happy one he could dance to. Finally, after all those years, a wolf student.
His wolf student.

Went to my first @robbiewilliams concertback in November 2023! Bought tickets for me and the Mother unit for her birthday back in July. As she loves Robbie to bits and I've always wanted to see him live due to growing up with mum playing all his songs to me, making me love him too.
The concert was great, I had an amazing time and so did Mum 💕
I decided to see if I could get a cool photo with my camera, sadly I don't have the right lens at the moment and wasn't close enough to get a good photo of Robbie, but I really like the shot here I got at the start of the concert!

Robbie on Robbie #23: "Blame yourself, it's easier"
From "Jesus in a Camper Van
Casey was the only one of his students upstairs. RJ was looking for the basket he had been weaving in his spare time, but he had looked all over the loft and couldn't find it.
Casey came out of his room in his uniform, with his eyes sad and his lips pursed.
"Case?" RJ called.
"Yes?"
"Are you okay, buddy?"
"I failed my Master test," Casey reminded him.
"Come here," RJ called, going to his chair to sit down.
"I'm late for my shift."
"Yeah, and we've always been so strict about that," RJ commented, the sarcasm dripping from every word. "Take a seat, come on."
Casey walked to him and sat down on the floor.
"It really is okay, you know?" RJ said.
"I don't know why I failed."
"Dad is a very demanding teacher," RJ told him. "Believe me, I know."
"I feel like I let you down in front of your dad," Casey said, his gaze on the floor. "Like I proved right all the things he said about you."
"It has nothing to do with me."
"It does. I've been your student from the start, this was the moment to help you show your dad how good of a Master you are."
"I don't need to show my dad how good of a master I am."
Casey looked at him, his face dubious. "Yes, you do."
Obviously caught in the lie, RJ pursed his lips and nodded. "Fine, It would have been nice to show Dad I can train a student }all the way to Master just fine." He made a dismissive gesture with his hands. "This isn't a forever failure. It's just a temporary setback. you'll show him next time."
"We need to train more."
"I have taken you as far as I can. I don't have any more information to give you. I have led you to the water, but only you can drink."
Casey sat in silence for a minute. RJ looked around the loft, still trying to find his basket.
"If I hadn't..."Casey started, making RJ look ar him. "I mean..."
"What?"
"This is all my fault."
"You're gonna have to be more specific."
"Everything! If I hadn't been chosen to substitute Jarrod, he wouldn't have attacked Mao and released Dai Shi."
"The release of Dai Shi was imminent," RJ said. "I[f not Jarrod, someone else would have done it."
"Mao would still be alive."
"And we wouldn't know each other," RJ said. "I'd like to think we have cultivated the kind of friendship you don't wish had never happened."
"RJ, that's not what I--"
"It is."
"I just don't know what to do next. Without your guidance, haven't let both you and Master Finn down, having let Theo and Lily down, I don't know what to do."
"You do know. You just don't know you know."
"I'm not in the mood for riddles."
"Fine," RJ said, throwing his hands in the air in surrender. "Blame yourself, it's easier." He got up from his chair and walked towards the kitchenette.
"Easier?!" Casey said. "You think it's easier for me to think about how none of this would have happened without me?"
RJ didn't answer immediately. He grabbed a drink from the fridge and turned to Casey as he opened it.
"Yes," he answered mercilessly.
"It's not!" Casey yelled, getting up and walking towards him.
"Placing blame is an easy game, Casey. Even if you place it on yourself. Finding solutions is harder, and making said solutions happen is the hardest. You wanna blame yourself? Blame yourself, it's gonna lead you nowhere. You wanna pass your Master test? Find the solution. I promise you, you have everything you need to do that."
Casey stood there, his gaze lowered.
"You see?" He told RJ, who was throwing away the container of his drink. "You still have things to teach me."
RJ smiled as he walked to Casey. "You already knew that," RJ said, reaching Casey and patting him on the chest as he walked past him. "You'll get there, Case. I know you will."
"What if I don't?"
RJ shrugged without looking at him. "Then you won't. But, hey, at least you get to blame yourself for everything."
"It is my fault."
"Blame yourself," RJ said, finally finding his basket. He grabbed it and took it with him to the training area. "It's easier."
