Did we really get a confirmation that "tender emotional music" is meant for intimate scenes between characters
Byler truthers this sounds like a win to me...

there's no mike pov cause his brain short-circuits whenever he's near will & all he can try to do is to stop looking at will's lips

pretty minor but in the new bts, from the angle of all their hands, it looks like Mike and Will are across from each other. Great angle if you want to do a shot where Mike and Will catch each other's eyes, exchanging glances and the camera lingering on it to show that there's a more intimate understanding between the two. Maybe with a little smile at each other before the moment fully breaks??? As a treat?

Imagine it's the finale of stranger things. The gangs all together, standing over Vecna's fucked up corpse. It's done, it's over. Mike and Will are making out behind everyone else while [tender, emotional music] plays in the background. Argyle's standing to one side, high as fuck and he says, “whoa dude, that was so strange” and Steve shrugs, he looks at him and goes “well, stranger things have hap—” and he gets taken out by a demogorgon and fucking dies.

you know what i need so bad more than anything actually is a byler moment a la the pride and prejudice (2005) hand scene where mike helps will climb up onto a rock/over a tree branch/up from the ground etc and the camera zooms in on mike’s fingers gripping will’s hand as the music swells softly, thumb brushing over his knuckles, lingering a little too long as will goes to move away, and then will flashes him a shy little smile and is like “hey, thanks,” and mike, a little flustered and caught off-guard is like “yeah, of course,” and then he panics and runs off to join whoever’s up ahead and the camera zooms back in on him flexing his hand in stunned silence
