Unfortunately, my situation doesn't really allow me to take the time I need. I've got a ~two month hiatus scheduled for my midseason, but much like my first hiatus I'll most likely be working double time during it...

It's unfortunate because I could really really use a bigger break!

Having the time and flexibility to work on other projects really fires me up and keeps me going, and being able to take a guilt free day off for family and friends is necessary to my mental health, and I've been having to turn people down lately...

This is a very kind message, and I'm sorry to vent in response! But I just feel transparency about the pressure I'm under is necessary and important. I'd love to take the time I really need, but due to deadlines and that pesky "needing money to live" I can't.

But, once the series is over I intend to take a pretty big break before I start whatever I'm doing next! I've got so many short stories and projects planned that I want so badly to get to, I can't wait to really get to truly dive in to them!

in my quest to maybe move back to providence after 20 years, im looking at jobs down there and damn i think i might be better off financially pivoting to carpentry/construction work for a while

#messages from the ouija board #the biggest two hurdles there are 1) gender. on multiple levels. but maybe i could get my dad to put in a good word for me w an old contact #bc he seems to know every tradesman in rhode island somehow. a #but like. every manual labor job ive ever had other than assisting my dad. gender has become a Problem. and itll probably be worse now #and then 2) id have to get a vehicle and all the bells and whistles w that #though idk maybe i could ask my coworker marty about how to get into stage carpentry #bc hes trans and seems to be doing well in it #ive always enjoyed manual labor stuff like i love painting i love demo work i loved repairing tombstones i love building shit #but the few times ive actually been hired by people who arent family its been a real struggle to be taken seriously #in one case i got harassed (over being a 'woman') into leaving #and in another it just made the guys on the crew increasingly uncomfortable 'having a girl around' and when the current job wrapped up #i just got ghosted. no telling me where the next job was. no returning my calls. nothing. #and im scared of that happening again. but also. the money seems way better than museum work wrt what im qualified for

The only thing I’m really looking forward to from the live action is being able to gossip about it with my mutuals. I don’t really have any other opinion, I mean… it looks cool! (Sokkas hair & zukos scar bother me but ehhhh what can I do?) But I’m an animation junky, I love my anime and my cartoons (bobs burgers beloved) so I don't particularly care for the “real people actors” taking over my cartoons but I’m totally chill about it honestly.

I will ABSOLUTELY be watching it and probably will form a more solid opinion after I actually watch the show.

hello !! gyahh thank you so much, happy to meet you here as well welcome welcome !! ://^> !!! i don't have speedpainting to show etc sadly, but you can find some very old posts about my process on this tag ! the process for the paintings hasn't dramatically changed, honestly now i just try to make cleaner lines so i don't lose as much time painting all over my mistakes and scratching my head at everything bhaha i could find some of my wip for the soriku one though, i'll put it below ! :

very rough tiny sketches of the idea

made cleaner lines, added colors , then painting all over it on a new layer, like shown in the old posts ! the brushes used hasn't changed much too for this one, i used as reference the 3D models on Clip Studio Paint that i moved as wanted! i don't use it often bc it feels like driving a plane, i'm not very at ease, but it was very interesting and it definitely made it easier to draw ! ..it also explains the slightly shorter legs than usual reiugbierg (characters i draw without ref always end up with extra lonnnng limbs welp) i hope it's understandable ! i'll try one day to make new process posts, but for now i can only show this ;; '' have a great day / night !! <3

Hey! Odds of you seeing this are very slim given this ask lol but please don’t do this. You’ve every right to ask for an explanation, and while I’m probably not gonna be the best at providing one, I’m definitely gonna try because you’re owed that.

There’s lots to say about it but breaking it down, it’s ironic to air ads about threats of being bombed whilst you’re bombing an entirely different group of people. It also paints a picture that the “good Christian white man” is going to help his fellow believers and offer them shelter, turning it into a religious conflict when it’s not. Also, and I say this completely without offense so correct me if I’m out of line, but it just seemed so performative. Antisemitism & its rise must be called out, but I’ve never seen the US care about this (or any other form of prejudice towards marginalized communities) until now. It’s meant to make you feel sorry & feel bad, & to try to twist your understanding of why there “needs” to be a Jewish state.

This isn’t the best explanation by far, but I do hope I managed to highlight that campaigns like this, especially when funded by certain people (in this case zionists), will always have underlying intentions beyond what’s on the surface.

I knew about the show since 2014 but I just knew it existed, saw some memes but didn't really get em, and whenever I said I wanted to give the show a try, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE told me NOT to, bc "omg it's so scary it traumatized me I can't sleep since I watched it", and I mean back then I was in my creepypasta phase so I wasn't like going to get scared that much but the pressure was inmense I ended up not watching it ):

Years went by, kept watching ocassional memes, but last year on september when I opened Twitter I saw SO MUCH content of them, fanarts were all over my home page, so I asked my brother if he knew anything about it, turned out he had already seen both the web series and tv show and said THERE'S NO WAY YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS SHOW YOU'RE GONNA LOVE IT

And the rest is history...
