February 14th. The day that makes the loved feel loved and the lovesick feel sicker.

“What have I told you Y/N?”

You looked up at him with a defiant glare, one you had worn many times in your life. When you were excluded from school, when your parents kicked you out, when you had to fend for yourself on the street. This glare was a façade that kept your true feelings from surfacing. You’d never worn it as much as with this man.

“I asked you a question. Stop glowering at me and answer.”

With only candlelight illuminating the room, the sharp features of his face became even more prominent than they already were. He was beautiful, you could admit that, but he was a monster. Beauty and the beast merged into some malformed, withered heart and shoved into a body crafted by the gods themselves. At one point you had been practically salivating over this man, but this piece of art was painted with blood.

No one could’ve guessed this calm, charismatic man was anything but perfect, and as many others before you had, you fell into his trap. Fell in love with him and believed he was head over heels for you too. Now however, you wished he had hated you like his other victims. Because now you were stuck, forced to play housewife with him until he became bored with you.

“To eat.”

Seonghwa gestured with his head to your full plate, the food starting to turn cold.

“So what’s this?”

You looked down at your plate and shrugged, almost imitating a difficult child.

“Look at me when I’m speaking to you.”

With a sullen expression you made eye contact with the male, speaking up begrudgingly when he looked at you in a certain way.

“I’m not hungry.”

Seonghwa quirked an eyebrow at this, looking you up and down in a disdainful manner before picking up his knife. A steak knife, meticulously cleaned and sharpened a little too aggressively. With one fell swoop he had sliced through the tender meat, the semi-pink inside now glistening.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?”

You looked up at him in genuine confusion, eyebrows creasing. He shook his head with a smile, cleaning his knife with a napkin before holding it up.

“It glistens like it holds the power of the sun within it; a dangerous beauty if you will.”

You let out a non-committal ‘ah’ and took a sip of your water, ignoring the rumble of your stomach. You refused to eat anything made by this monster, especially when he could kill you at any time. Seonghwa seemed to understand the cause of your sudden loss of appetite, yet he didn’t mention it. He stood up however, trailing the knife along the table while you tried to keep your face neutral. In actuality you could hardly breathe, your heart was racing and your hands gripped the sides of your chair.

“Why do you insist on being such an insolent, disobedient little bitch?”

You jumped when Seonghwa slammed the knife down into one of your pre-cut pieces of steak, bringing it to your mouth and resting the meat on your lips.

“Open.”

You parted your lips, looking directly up at Seonghwa as he slipped the meat into your mouth. You soon jumped back in your seat however, the jagged metal digging into your lower lip and making blood spurt from it. Swallowing quickly, you held a hand to your new wound, looking up at Seonghwa in pure shock as he simply tutted at you.

“You should be more careful my darling, wouldn’t want you hurting yourself.”

With a sly smile, Seonghwa brought the knife to his mouth and languidly licked the remnants of blood off of it. His pupils widened, almost as if the male had received pleasure from the metallic tang.

“Still as sweet as ever.”

When you tried to push away from the table Seonghwa raised the knife to you, letting the cool metal rest against your cheek as he tutted.

“Don’t you worry, I’ll go get you a plaster. You just worry about finishing your food, okay?”

You nodded without emotion, not wanting to talk and split your lip even more. Plus, it didn’t help that any wrong move and that knife would probably slit your throat. Seemingly satisfied, Seonghwa lowered his hand with a deranged smile, pressing a kiss to your lips whilst licking the blood off of them.

“Happy Valentines, my darling. I put all my love into that meal, so make sure you eat it all.”

probably wonders how he ended up in such relationship. considering what info we have abt him i think he maybe doesnt,, necessarily enjoy violence, but he for sure likes to show his power over others ig? so putting people in their place or just getting rid of the enemies — either as fast as he can or dragging out their death for as long as he can,, i didnt decide which option fits him more. probably doesnt change under your influence or anything, but hell get rid of them when youre not,, looking. promises to let them off with a warning, but if youd try to find them, you never will. if youd confront him about it, he would probably look at you with a poker face and tell you he doesnt know what youre talking about.

ABOUT THE HEALER THING for some reason i cant?? imagine scara getting hurt?? but if he ever did, youd be the first person he would turn to. cant look you in the eye, but kiss him on the cheek and he says it doesnt affect him but hes blushing smh
