i HaTe NeStA bEcAuSe . . . it’s always the same reasons , and somehow neatly tied into how she doesn’t deserve cassian . i’m sorry , , , did i miss the memo where nesta was not a twenty two - four year old dealing with severe ptsd , anxiety , depression , alcoholism , and the aftermath of sexual assault ? are we forgetting that nesta was only two years older than feyre and did not have to make a promise towards their mother , nor that nesta was the only one who truly knew BOTH their parents , and that losing their father was toughest on HER because she treated him absolutely awful , and the moment he redeemed himself she couldn’t even APOLOGIZE ? not to mention the bias towards her from feyre’s perspective is absolutely real , and that we have rarely seen nesta from a lens that was neutral ? get outta here

my nesta right now is rusty, yes, but ! i never got to make a post ab the parallels between the nesta i developed n acosf nesta ? ? it felt very . . . nice in a way to see that a lot of what i set as headcanons a year or two before acosf were made canon ! ! besides a thread that me n lacey wrote essentially being a chapter in the book , it was the way i essentially had the relationship w her mom down to the t , and mentioned that she did learn how to dance , n how she truly pushed cassian away because she blamed herself for the loss of her parents n father , n how she didn’t want to be responsible for losing him too . i’ve never had a muse that i related to and understood so well , but seeing my writing and my headcanons for her essentially being canon . . . it’s one of the best feelings a writer can have . 🥺

thank you for being my friend for a little over a year now , @hewncourt . i remember our first interactions , our first threads , and i recall how each time you made me feel so welcomed . i’m a drifter ; i come and go with time , and when i usually come back here , it’s always to a new group of writers , and when i met you i was nervous as heck , and you made me feel more than welcomed . not only did you write with me , and with some of the best writing i have ever seen on this goddamn website , but you also made an effort to talk to me ooc . we conversed , we slowly became friends , and then you joined the cord server n the rest was history . i’ll always be thankful i met you ; i learned a lot about writing , about how to act as an author on here , even how to format my posts better . i love you to the moon and back , and i want you to know just how much you mean to me and how much we all appreciate you as a whole .
