Details—
Ship name: Zeltina
Christina, in general, seems to have a far higher libido than Zelda, whose sex drive is average. Though I believe they’re both virgins when they meet!
What do you expect from a couple of proper ladies who never had much emotional freedom? Christina’s hard earned confidence makes her slightly less awkward than Zelda in this regard, but I imagine it’s still there.
Both Christina and Zelda seem to have their own issues with abandonment, not being good enough, security, etc, so I imagine they’re both fairly jealous in various ways.
Ranges—
Christina is the taller of the two ladies so I almost put her closer to big spoon, but something about her tells me that she’s really more of a little spoon at heart. I can see it flip-flopping with Zelda playing big spoon more often.
These two aren’t very similar in size/body type to share shirts/dresses/pants, but I imagine that they do swap cardigans often at work, grabbing whichever one happens to be nearest. They also may swap long/short robes at home (Christina’s short robe for Zelda, and Zelda’s long robe for Chistina)
Zelda will use Christina’s name if they are in a relationship, only calling her “Miss. Leota,” in more professional settings. She’s not one for pet names very often, but may occasionally use “my love” or “my dear,” especially if she’s particularly inspired.
Both Christina and Zelda appear to have extroverted traits out of necessity of their work, but I think they both naturally are more introverted, Christina more so.
Christina is rather poetic with her affections, while Zelda prefers to show, following her love language of Quality Time.
These two could conceivably go an entire relationship without confessing lmao Zelda is more likely to confess first, should the moment arise.
Zelda likes to capture and potentially keep bugs for her elixirs, but I imagine Christina doesn’t show them much mercy.
Zelda almost never drives, though she has been taught. While it seems like Christina doesn’t drive herself very often either, I suspect she still has more experience than Zelda.
Zelda also never learned to COOK. Christina knows how, if I recall correctly, but I imagine they usually have staff cook for them or they eat out.
I can see passionate Christina loving PDA, but Zelda has never been in a position where she could indulge in such things. She may sneak a small hand hold occasionally, though, when no one is looking.
Zelda becomes defensive for those she cares about, but I imagine Christina is more protective in that she will resort to violence if necessary.
Neither of these ladies had much time for love. Christina may have had slightly more experience simply by being older.

Zelda doesn’t know the full extent of her Christina’s research, but has done surface level work with her, just as Christina has performed some chemical research with Zelda in her attempt completely break down/understand/manipulate the properties of matter (as related to Alchemy) in whole.
The first time going horseback riding together is not the last, as they begin doing so about once a month, going off the beaten path to gather certain plants, fungi, and occasionally insects which Zelda uses in additional research (largely to do with enhancement elixirs)
Occasionally, Zelda is gifted certain things by businesses in hopes that she will be shown wearing/participating in whatever they sell. She usually wont for those exact reasons, but when she’s given tickets to the Opera, Symphony, or the like, she elects to go with Christina— after all, it’s just empty seats otherwise, and that would be a shameful waste.
Zelda quite likes Christina’s sense of fashion, from her hats to her dresses, but isn’t able to pull it off well herself. Large hats and extra poofy sleeves tend to overwhelm her small figure. Her style is somewhat similar, though in a simpler form.
Christina once made a passing comment about being too tall, which prompted Zelda to tell her about the Gerudo women, insisting that her height would be considered quite appealing in Hyrule.

@deathleads said: Most lower minds tend to observe her alchemy with bouts of disgust mixed with confusion, but the Princess was at least eager with protuberant eyes, hovering over her table with interest. She can't help but smile, paying more attention to Zelda, rather than her alchemy. " Is it really so fascinating to you? Most people tend to look away when I am transmuting. Your enthusiasm is quite nice. "
Tumblr media
‘Most people’ could hardly be blamed. The sight, or indeed even the smell, of old blood and flesh was enough to startle sensitive stomachs on its own. Perhaps if it were not for the science behind Miss. Leota’s action, Zelda would have been more inclined to look away or exit the room.
Yet she found herself too distracted to be queasy. The transmutation of human organs was certainly intriguing, and the possibilities for such a thing were endless. Even the Shrine of Resurrection, which cheated death and went beyond what the world thought capable in human medicine, could not restore missing limbs.

“It is fascinating,” Zelda admitted, thumb and index finger idly rubbing against one another as she thought. “I’m curious, have you managed to alter the components of blood type as well?”

A soft tap to the soft shoulder of the princess, once attention is gained she has placed a very large cup of hot tea in front of her. " Take a break, won't you ? "

It had, admittedly, been some time since Zelda began working in the shared space of the Amestris library. Glancing upon the lack of sunlight outside her window, Zelda suspected it had been roughly six hours. She smiled in gentle defeat and accepted the cup with thanks.
The first sip was refreshing, a light, sweet, floral taste with just a hint of peppermint. The second began to invigorate her, and by the third, Zelda’s thought began whirl once more, stubbornly clinging to the work she had turned from.
“This would be far easier if Central would only release the files I requested...” It seemed, however, that certain things were classified even to her.
Tumblr media
“It’s absurd to keep information locked up,” she all but grumbled between additional sips. “We would never do such a thing in Hyrule!” A blatant lie. “How do you work under such conditions, Miss. Leota?”

She had excused herself from Miss. Leota’s workspace to take what was ultimately an hour-long call, the sort littered with hushed tones and tired eyes. There was always something, it seemed. Something so determined to stay right out of her reach even as the world stared at her in dizzying demand, hissing through the silence, “Well? What are you waiting for? Take care of it.”
Her efforts never seemed to be quite enough.
Upon returning to Miss. Leota, Zelda had set herself back to work at once, comparing notes and transcribing the bit of shorthand to mold the research into a submittable form. Perhaps she had been a bit quieter than when she had left. Perhaps her eyes were still tired. Whatever the case, she heard the squeak of Miss. Leota’s chair moving before she saw it, and looked up to see the alchemist shift from her spot across the table to the empty chair beside her instead.
“You don’t have to tell me anything, we can just sit here.”
The offer was spoken with an air of knowing to them, as though Leota was well-aware of precisely the type of conversation Zelda had just experienced and knew, as one knew that dark clouds meant rain, that it was a particularly difficult one. Yet laced through her words was another offer entirely, undertoning the syllables to say, “I am here regardless if you want to be listened to or distracted.”
Zelda’s eyes were still so very tired, but as she looked at her companion, she found the exhaustion became a bit easier to manage.
Tumblr media
“I would like that very much, Miss. Leota. Thank you.”

On the whole, my time in Amestris has been perfectly pleasant, though there are times that I am horribly frustrated by the odd gender division that seems to be rather apparent in Central. Miss. Leota comes to mind, specifically. From what she has told me, she has been dedicated to her craft for many years, though this was hardly surprising given the amount of work she's already accomplished. Yet proper recognition of her work has been directly tied to her military ranking, and even now she admits that she's uncertain if those working with her at Central do so out of respect or obligation to her position. Really, I do try to be mindful of other countries and withhold a certain amount of judgment, but that is preposterous. I have half a mind to offer her a place at Hyrule instead, but it would be in bad taste, considering that I am currently an honored guest. Perhaps after my time at Central has come to a close.
I'm not entirely certain she would accept an offer to leave, however. She seems to have quite a bit of guilt regarding the Ishval war. For good reason, I suppose. Hyrule's statement of neutrality was never quite so challenged as it was then. She participated in the fighting, so it may be unappealing to live in a country that only offered refugee assistance instead of direct support. That aside, I suspect she may feel an obligation to see her work through where it was started. I can not presume to know truly. Despite her kindness toward me, Miss. Leota has always appeared a somewhat private person. I'm hesitant to overstep my boundaries, but I do wish I could offer her some consolation. A distraction could serve better, now that I think of it. She seemed to enjoy going to the bookstore with me, so perhaps I'll see if there is a day that could be spared for us to do something outside Central again. I've yet to interact with any of the city truly. For the most part, it has merely glimpses as I go from one building to another.
I wonder if Miss. Leota has many companions outside of her work. They've never been brought up in conversation, if so. I'm reminded of something Purah once told me; scholars and scientists were not made for socializing. In fairness, she told me that as an excuse not to attend a meeting, but there's a slim bit of truth to it. If that's the case, I suppose it's all the more reason to offer my company while I'm still near.

Her hair, straight and fine as it was, kept falling loose from its tie like little ribbons of golden silk. It was perhaps during Zelda’s third attempt to contain her locks that Christina, ever observant, noted her struggle and so the Princess of Hyrule humbly (and somewhat shyly) requested a bit of aid.
In truth, Zelda seldom wore her hair up. When she worked, it was typically with a low ponytail or braid (with fair smaller ties for a more secure fit, of course) for it was difficult to put such long hair in a bun by herself. When Christina set to work, however, her elegant hands gently pulled and twisted Zelda’s hair as though it were the easiest thing in all the world.
Strands were pinned in place and before long, Christina was smiling into the reflection of her mirror as she asked for her thoughts. Zelda smiled in return and placed a hand over the woman’s while it rested on her shoulder, giving a light squeeze.
