A blast from the past! I remembered a little game series called “My New Room” that I LOVED back in the day; I think it was hosted on GirlsGoGames.  I found these games using the Flashpoint Browser! For whatever reason, the first My New Room game wouldn’t download to my computer, but MNR 2 and 3 (there’s a Christmas edition too, but it wouldn’t download as well) are working downloadables!
Here, I decided to use MNR 2 to create these three different rooms - the first and second one are bedrooms belonging to my OCs, Petunia and Elisabeth, respectively. The third one is just a random restaurant-like room designed to look like it’s part of a tiki/Caribbean-themed resort.
The MNR series also had this feature where you could find out the “element” of your room after you finished decorating it, and I got fire for Petunia’s bedroom, Wood for Elisabeth’s bedroom, and water for the resort restaurant. Interesting perspectives!
I’ll use MNR 3 soon (and maybe I’ll try to find the rest of the games on the Y8 Browser)!

Petunia Alice Jones, my edgy, angsty daughter. Self-proclaimed “dark soul” with a closeted admiration and love for a classmate who’s a scene queen. I also like to call her “Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way for a new generation”.

Oh, you thought I’ve given up on Avie games? Well, I found another on the Y8 Browser (which lets you access Flash games)!  This particular installment is called Avie: Halloween Style! This has to be my most favorite of the Avie games as you can change both the pose and facial expression on the girl! Visually, it’s similar to the HTML remastered Avie games (think the Birthday or Beach games which I’ve already posted), but it’s got those extra features as well!
Also I was today years old when I realized some of the other NPCs you meet in this game are named “Gwen”, “Gabriella”, and “Grace”, who are the “mascots” of GirlsGoGames, a nostalgic site from my childhood where I had one of my earliest experiences with dress up games. :))
I made some of my OCs with this game (more information about them under “keep reading”)!
Pics 1-4 are Missy May, a scene queen who calls her style “cutesy creepy”. She’s in her late teens (around 16-17) and is actually one of the more popular kids in her high school because of her scene lifestyle (she probably rivals the spoiled rich “popular” brats obsessed with shopping and makeup lmao). Her favorite colors are pink, white, and black, and her side hobby is urban exploration in abandoned/creepy places looking for ghosts.
Pics 5-7 are Toxic Vision, one of my old My Little Pony characters who is being revamped (and possibly going to be turned into a human). She’s a budding scientist who likes to experiment with things and make discoveries of her own; one of her eyes is actually damaged in some way due to an experiment gone wrong. That’s just one of her weaknesses - she can get a little too impulsive with the stuff she works with and ends up taking more risks than she can probably handle.
Pics 8-9 are Petunia Jones, a teen who is just beginning to experiment with her style and embrace the scene/punk/emo lifestyle. She goes to the same high school as Missy May and actually idolizes her to the point of completely emulating her looks. Eventually, Missy May notices this and decides to befriend Petunia and kind of take her under her wing, unaware that Petunia is closeted and is harboring an intense crush on her.

Before the punk, scene, and emo/weaboo. Made on recolor.me! Haven’t been on this site for a hot minute, but I decided to make a few avatars using the “Dream Avatar” setting. Man, I should’ve used it a lot more when I was still active on the site; it’s a lot easier compared to freaking wafting through the shop and buying items (plus I couldn’t even afford some stuff since they’re too expensive)!
All three of them are sixteen years old (though Missy is almost seventeen and Alice has just turned sixteen) and attend the same high school.
Petunia Jones is your typical moody teenager; she has bouts of depression and anxiety but hides it behind a façade of aloofness and tends to take it out on others if she’s that bothered. Mostly, though, she’ll keep to herself and just stick on her favorite pair of headphones and blast some music. She has dreams of making it big some day but often thinks she won’t because she isn’t “perfect”. She figures the only way she’ll be able to be happy with herself is if she continues to be herself, and she eventually develops her own strange style and embraces it, not caring what others think.
Missy May - whose actual name is “Melissa May Brown” - began her school year as that one preppy popular girl with a large circle of friends. She liked makeup, doing her hair, and wearing pretty, trendy clothes - she seemed to fit right in with the “cool” kids. Outside of school though, she longed to be different. She didn’t like being what she called a “cookie cutter” popular girl who based her personality on ever-changing trends; yet she couldn’t help it knowing she was once a “loner” with no friends in middle school and didn’t want to go through that again. She didn’t even like her own first name! She hopes to reveal her true self before she graduates, but for now, she drastically changes her style into something more flashy and “out there” every time she’s not in school; she even embraces her budding love of horror and the occult and can be found out and about even when it’s dark just so she can go ghost hunting and test out some new rituals she found online.
Alice Liddell - whose actual name is “Allison ‘Ally’ Miller” - is a bookish girl who has just transferred to a new school. The teenage social climate does what it does whenever there’s a new kid and simply keeps their distance from her or even belittle her, knowing there’s no way a “weird” and “nerdy” girl like her will ever become “cool”. She’s oddly obsessed with Japanese culture and wants to be “cute” and “kawaii”, hoping she’ll gain some kind of “popularity” or at least a “following”. The peer pressure soon is too much for her and she decides to trade her books for chunky accessories and dull-colored, plain outfits for experimental fashion with pops of bright colors. She dons the nickname “Alice” or “Alice-chan” knowing she’s already fallen down the rabbit hole of weirdness and embraces it.
