- This is one of those moments where grian's whole situation is so much more potent and vivid. Its not hard to understand why grian internalises and hates himself for being "a parasite". Idk thats probably very obvious to everyone else but this is the first time ive really thought about all of what that entails

I have a brain today so i can actually expand on some of the things youve pointed out instead of just aiming heart eyes at you for the compliments fjsndjsjejke so for the first point, yes!!! Scar and Xisuma returned to the others post chap 6 and were like "Well that sucked!! Wow!!!!" I wouldnt say theyve given all the information to everybody, because they themselves aren't exactly ready to discuss that beyond the immediately required basics, but everyone else was given the gist: convo went badly, Grian is being taken back to Hermitcraft on Scar and Xisuma's insistence. Both Scar and Xisuma feel fucking horrible for how that conversation went down-- nobody had a good time there. So while the plan is to eventually get everyone up to speed, they're sorta taking this time to be miserable about what was essentially a fight that ended in stripping Grian of his autonomy

There's also a little cross-communication happening here in the background, btw: Scar and Xisuma have a pretty big picture now, but Tango, Mumbo, and Pearl have been fed that false info abt the potions being potentially useful. So, yknow :) just smth to keep in mind there haha

Your point about how it almost feels like Grian falling asleep is a survival mechanism is spot on the money. It's essentially him falling into a state of low power mode, where everything but his most basic of functions is shut down for a brief time in favour of preserving energy-- i would honestly consider it more equivalent to a coma than actual sleep. Hence Tango's concern, and subsequent relief when Grian woke up; the entire time he was unconscious, he was fully unresponsive. So, yknow. Real nerve-wracking to see, especially after that prior full week of unresponsiveness as his body struggled to maintain itself.

Tango's role here is indeed deliberate, both on a watsonian and doylist level!! The reason however is the exact same for both: Tango is a little more removed, personally, from this situation. Grian was-- and is-- his friend, ofc, but he's not as close to whats happening. Meanwhile, Xisuma is in 24/7 server babysitting mode, Pearl is not fit to be a caretaker, and Scar and Mumbo were tearing themselves apart by trying to sit and look after him. So Tango got assigned caretaker duties 😂😂😂😂 it was an effective way to divvy up tasks and keep everybody busy, and somewhat hilariously, so far Tango is the only person Grian isnt supremely upset with for one reason or another. And thats why he's continued to stay in caretaker mode lol he is truly just. The only guy who can rn

I also just sorta think of him as a surprisingly emotionally savvy fixer-type, in terms of personality. Like. I think he just gets what people set down in front of him, yknow? Although hell if he knows what to do with it once he's got em. He fumbles a lot, sure, and he defaults to fix-it mode, but he is getting the message when Grian essentially says "i dont wanna talk anymore" without actually saying it

As for Grian and his headspace, rn, theres definitely a complexity at work here where he wants to die and is very genuine in that, but he IS also grateful he's seeing his friends. He cant deny that. As painful as it is, he still loves them very much, and ultimately he's trying to do this for their own good as much as for his own sense of punishment and relief. I think like... now that he's really creeping up on what he has planned, and the pieces are suddenly becoming a reality, theres a bit of dissonance he's fighting against to stay on course. He wants his friends happy; he also wants to die. He's so overwhelmingly tired; he is, as much as he feels he doesnt deserve it, glad to have his friends close. That sort of hopelessness mixed with a warped sense of comfort that he got to see and interact with them one last time. If that makes any sense. Its a bit of complexity i wanted to make sure i added in, because people are so rarely fully decided on any course of action they choose to take, without even a single flicker of doubt (and especially one so final as this). Im glad youve picked up on that, and that you appreciate what i was trying to set down with it!!! :D

Silly Sakura Stuff

~My introductory post is supposed to be a simple description of myself and what I do, but it is outdated and dry :/ So now, I'll take the time to make a more clear 'About me' post and then later update up my pinned post :)

•Playing piano. I've mentioned it a couple of times already, but it just shows how much I really love it :)

•Jigsaw puzzles. In my free time, I like to play the ones online rather than physically go and buy one hehehehe but still :3

•Drawing. This one's obvious :0 I've improved a lot digitally over the time I've spent here, although my traditional art is... not the same😵‍💫

•Listening to music while doing nothing but think of scenarios in my head to fit with it. This one is self-explanatory and I'm sure everybody has done it at least once >:)

•I'm actually aroace, but still, there are some characters I cannot speak regularly about without turning into a crazy fangirl simp💀

•Not too long ago I found out and got diagnosed with dyslexia, so sometimes I don't make any sense at all with spelling and grammar. It's my main reason for using autocorrect as well :)

•One of my parents is Japanese, making me part Japanese also🇯🇵 It's just a little fact I wanted to share❤️

•I'm a terrible public speaker🗣️ I don't like speaking in front of large groups, but online is a way different story as you all can tell.. I am a completely changed person online🫣

•Obanai Iguro- I love his design and his character, personality, and backstory. I think he's a very well written character and has a lot more to him than being in love with Mitsuri🐍

•Kanao Tsuyuri- I also think she was well written and was really pretty and stuff, y'know :)🦋💜

•Muichiro Tokito- At first, I was drawn to him and literally fangirled over him for a really long time and read fan-fics about him💀 But then the energy died down a little bit :0 I still like him tho💙🌁

☂️-Komi Can't Communicate-☂️

•Komi Shouko- She reminds me a lot like myself with her social anxiety (expect mine isn't that bad) The show was really cute and she was probably my favorite because of.. everything :D

•I don't really remember a lot of the other characters, but I also thought Tadano was pretty silly and stuff heehe >:)

🔥-Chainsaw Man-🔥

•Pochita- Pochita is so silly and cute and silly and cute and I loved him.. Pochita is also very important so that's another reason aside from his silliness🧡

•Kobeni and Power- I thought Kobeni's whole reason for becoming a devil hunter in the first place was really sad and I felt bad for her, and I also just loved her scared and silly view of things. Power on the other hand is a character I love for her energy and personality. I was originally planning on being her for Halloween while my sister was going to be Makima, but things changed and she chose something else🥲

•Aki (forgor last name)- He's very bbg. All I have to say🔪🦊

🔪-Toilet-Bound Hanako-🔪

•This is what my mind is focused on 3/4 of my day. Just this show.. Do be warned, for all of my simp emotions will be taken out (mostly) on the upcoming list..

•Amane Yugi/Hanako- Loved both of them equally, given that they're technically two different people, but Amane holds a special place in my heart. His story was sad and traumatic, everything a good main character needs. Design, voice, story, character relationships, all of it. I love him❤️

•Kou Minamoto- Trying my best not to get too wild right now.. Literally every character in this show had an amazing English and Japanese voice, and he was probably one of my favorites. He is veeery bbg and deserves all of the love🎴

•Mitsuba Sousuke- Only @yuichiroleftarm knows what I mean when I say I love him.. The literal second he was introduced, it was like almost all of my mutuals with Muichiro.. Trust me when I say you don't wanna know how much I really love this guy.. I've said some things none of you guys will ever know🩷💀

•These are my top three, but if you ask me, pretty much everybody in the show is fine asf (Sakura swearing?) Still though, this probably surpassed my first love for Demon Slayer I'd say.. Still love both tho :')

𝒫𝓇𝑜𝑔𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓈𝑒𝒹 𝒮𝓊𝓃 𝒩𝑜𝓉𝑒𝓈 - 𝟣

I have been learning about secondary progressions and how to read a progressed chart. Astro-seek has a lovely assortment of calculators that make it so easy to access these charts!

Progressed charts show the personal evolution that takes place over your lifetime.

It’s important to remember: these charts are meant to add a layer on to your NATAL chart, which is the most important chart to have.

I’ve done a progressed Sun, progressed Moon, ascendant persona and solar return chart for myself and I want to share some of the things that stand out to me.

First of all, the Progressed Sun chart.

☀️ Your Progressed Sun, depending on how old you are and the degree your Sun is in your natal chart, may not show you much YET. Over your lifetime, it’s only going to move about 4 signs. Mine was at 23° Aquarius in the 5th house at birth. It is, as of today, at 0° Aries in my 6th house. That 0° is an important position because it is a critical degree, AND, it happens to be the exact position of my natal moon. Having the progressed sun at a critical cardinal degree suggests a theme of bringing something out into the open, taking charge, initiating a turning point.

☀️ When the Sun enters a new SIGN, we might feel a very distinct change in our energy. Some say it’s a very drastic change that is apparent to others as well as one’s self. New hobbies that seem surprising might arise. One that seems like an obvious one for me is an interest in physical activity and movement. There have been events happening throughout my entire last year or so that have sort of started building a foundation for a better understanding of the benefits of movement. I’ve always been totally averse to exercise. As a kid, I had trouble understanding the rules of organized sports and games. I was teased a lot by older kids, which started my shame complex. I’d sit out of everything and daydream. So...

☀️ Since 1° equals a year, then my progressed Sun remained in Aquarius for the first 7 years of my life, then slowly transited the entire sign of Pisces. This makes SO much sense. There WAS a big change sometime around 8 years old; I became more reclusive and stuck inside my head. I went through that miserable chunky stage before puberty, my mom gave me a ridiculous series of haircuts that have NEVER been socially acceptable at any time in history, and I became so incredibly sensitive. My first experience with trauma happened around then too. The way I responded to that trauma was excessive, endless crying fits. I would cry myself to sleep every single night, for about 7 months straight at it’s worse. This was the start of my Major Depressive Disorder. During my older childhood years, I was frequently called “gentle” and “caring”. I took on a lot of traits as coping mechanisms that have stayed with me... what’s a little chilling is to consider how Piscean placements are known for disconnecting, disassociating, retreating into addictions when faced with life’s troubles. That was me. That was 100% me from about 8-now. The first “addiction” I had was the actually the crying. I was still the quirky, strange Aquarius I was born- but with a new layer. A new Pisces layer.

☀️ With my progressed Sun finally being done in Pisces and entering the assertive, firey sign of Aries, I could really be at the start of a major transformation RIGHT NOW. Exciting! And scary! In Alan Oken’s The Progressed Sun, it says:

“You have behind you a great deal of gathered information about human nature, now you need to personalize what you know and make it into who you are. ✏️ What is your fave fic from another writer?

Oh that is tough since there are so many wonderful ones in the fandom, but I think my top two are your Bleeding Hearts story and @how-are-those-nuts-sarge Petals series. I'll admit, I have been pretty slack about reading lately though

⏱ What’s the fic you spent the most time on? (Was it worth it lol)

Oh, it was for sure Dear Heart. In fact, I started it over four years ago. Written as an OC with a different name, but the story was there. I never published it because at the time in the fandom, a lot of people were getting sh*t on for OFCs, and I wasn't brave enough to test those waters. So when I came back, I decided to write it as a reader insert, but didn't love that, so I took it down. Now, this fic is finally how I want it with Melanie and I'm actually really proud of it. Very much worth it.

☀️ Has anyone ever left you a comment that made your day? What did it say?

There have been lots! Most recently, it was this comment left on my new WIP, Love Will Come and Find Me Again: "Omg I’m screaming!! Also totally on theme as I read this with pin curls in my hair.

Absolutely adore this chapter! Love that they are going the friends route right now (although I’m with Iryna on not wasting a strong hot man). Also I fully accept as canon that Jamie is good with kids (yes I’m basing this on the two instances we see in the show) so I love to see that in fics. I’m also delighted that Spencer seems to have been a great husband and father. I feel like it is going to introduce all kinds of interesting emotions with Jamie in terms of living up to his memory and concerns about becoming his father. I’m imagining some deeply enjoyable and emotional conversations with Ted about how to be a good father.

I’m also super excited that you are following the arc of the show. My mind is already spinning on possibilities like “oh! Was he with them for Christmas?” and “does he go to her after Man City?”. I’m on pins and needles so I will soothe myself with a full reread of the fic.

Also keeping up with my theme of great old movies that your fic reminds me of I was getting flashes of the 1947 Miracle on 34th Street with Fred coming to dinner. 🥰"

💡 What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been inspired by?

I'm usually inspired by music for most of my writing, so I can't think of anything very strange. The weirdest song that's inspired a deleted scene for Dear Heart is "Yes! We Have No Bananas." Hopefully, I'll write that and post it soon.

blow gfx 🌬 wow so crazy i actually know how to make gfx ??? i literally had the biggest slump for months and while i am still not over it, this gfx was one of the few instances this year i really just edited for the fun of it and liked the outcome. the song is so vivid and the mv so artistic, and that definitely helped with the graphic

jikjin jihoon ☀️ i am aware i did not shut up about this song for weeks so it deserves a mention. treasure's jikjin (the whole mini really) made me fall in love with that group in an instant and i just enjoyed the entire aesthetic of this era. in conclusion: mandatory new bias gfx bc treasure jihoon and jikjin do deserve it. and i love the textures and colors here

semantic error ep 6 🍂 this was the scene i knew i had to gif from this ep no matter if anyone else did or it would turn out well. it was just so funny and the physical comedy in semantic error is my fave thing about the series. the gifs turned out so vibrant and beautiful as well, i am so happy with the result i got here
