I JUST COME BACK FROM SEEING TROLLS 3 AND OMG I LOVED IT!!!!

Here some things that I wanna share about my experience!

Spoilers under the cut

So before I saw the movie I felt pretty sick and thought I wasn’t gonna handle the popcorn but I managed!

Then of course I thought my parents were gonna be annoyed but I guess they weren’t, my mom liked it I’m not sure about my dad

When I saw Mount Rageous I can feel my blood running threw me and my palms were sweating!!!!!

I wished it had more screen time!!!!!!!

I see my relationship with my sister in Velvet and Veneer in a way- 🥲

Crimp crying is just me wanting to vent about me problems-

During the movie my mom said that Velvet and Veneer are like this old duo group called Millie and Vanillie

They were pretty famous I guess but they actually weren’t singing it was someone else, while Millie and Vanilli lip synced the person would sing behind the scenes

They were found being frauds live at a MTV concert back in July of somewhere in the 1980s

While they were singing the song skipped and they everyone saw them lip syncing and there whole careers were ruined

So possibly Velvet and Veneer are based of them?

Anyway, I loved the boyband references, and how some came out of nowhere, like when Bruce said Menudo I’m pretty sure that was a reference to the old Mexican boy band of the same name

I didn’t even think about that until my parents said that when we were out of theater

Overall, the whole movie was good but I felt like it went too fast but it was good, they were little childrens there but it’s a kids movie and they looked like they had a good time so ye!

and I started to recorded the last eight minutes of the movie cause I just wanted too!!!!

So I give trolls 3 a 20/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In Memoriam - Alice Winn

Bought in 2024 so not a backlog book. If I’d read the blurb properly, I doubt I’d have even considered buying it.

pg x of 382 - I’ve got a good feeling about this one.

pg 115 of 382 - This is definitely going to be my second five star of the year ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Aged 13, watching Dead Poets Society in English lessons taught me to see boys boarding schools as the most romantic of settings and twenty years of evidence to the contrary has never completely shaken that. I don’t usually like war history books though.

I loved this one.

The way the horror of WW1 in the trenches is written is so pragmatic and individual, and horrendous. It’s claustrophobic and relentless just to read it. It was a shock when it’s casually mentioned that the captain is eighteen, although I’d known his age from the start of the book.

I’m always much more interested in the ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’ stories of what was happening at home than I am in the ‘Birdsong’ stories of guns and tunnelling. The sheer massiveness of the casualties was brought home to me in a new way, considering multiple kids in a single year group hearing of the deaths of their siblings at once via the school newspaper.

It’s a love story. An unembarrassed, loyal love story. A hopeful, heartbreaking love story.
