hello, hello! on a less extra note, my name is honey   ( any pronouns, twenty - two, pst ).   it’s been quite a bit since i was in a group, so fingers crossed everything goes well! i can’t wait to meet you all and see where each of our storylines can go. ♡

now, on to miss jae - in! there’s a lot to cover here, but i’ll do my best to make this as tl;dr friendly as i can.

park jae - in is born as park soon - cheon. she is the second daughter of park min - hyun and seo ju - mi. the couple are deeply religious and run their own church, myeong - min cathedral. 

jae - in’s father, min - hyun, did not want another daughter, but a son. after informing his wife of this fact, jae - in was more or less scorned by both of her parents. her father rarely acknowledged her, and her mother gave her just enough care that she would survive. most of her affection came from her elder sister ( by five years ) who was tasked with whatever care the parents wished not to do.

her childhood was already set to be very lonely. this only worsened when she developed a disorder that caused severe muscle seizures that could last anywhere between seconds to minutes. this left her incredibly lethargic and unable to move without assistance. she was predominantly bed - ridden and had little more to do than read books and study, as she was homeschooled.

at the age of eleven ( after the birth of her youngest sibling, her brother ), she miraculously recovered from her disorder. her father immediately deemed it a gift from god and began to say that jae - in was a messiah and that god would eventually speak through her as a vessel. she was promoted to the position of divine prophet within her father’s church and has. . .   more or less become a cult leader, albeit inadvertently? her father’s congregation wholly believes she is either the second coming of god or god herself, and honestly, she’s inclined to agree with them.

befriends chemical x and the yaup at the insistence of her father. this was probably a big mistake on his part, because they introduce jae - in to what friendship means. at once her world view goes from a narrow nothingness to something broad and expansive. with their guidance she learns about pop culture and gradually assimilates in to what a fourteen year old girl should be. by eighteen, she’s all but exactly what a young god should appear as.

currently, jae - in is trying to make sense of her past and tie it in to her future. she views the invitation as a means to meet others and potentially get them to join the cult congregation, to give her further worship and power. all she ever wanted was to be adored, after all, and what better place to find it?
