ワケありの年下男子を連れて、ちょっと地味な○○タウンみたいなショッピングエリアで

安いコーヒーを買ったら、ふた口くらい飲んだところでホントはコーヒーの気分じゃなかったと気づく。テイクアウトできるカップだったので、コーヒーを手に歩き出す

が、数分後、段差に蹴つまずく、閉めていたはずのフタ、吹っ飛ぶ、私、地面に手をつく、コーヒー、半分くらいこぼれる

顔をあげると、蹴つまずいた瞬間私とすれ違った女性がフリーズしてる。

なぜか夏物の肩のあいた木綿のワンピースを着た女性が熱いっ

と。

やってしまった

コーヒーをかけてしまった

すみませんっ

女性の肩にかかったコーヒーを拭き取ろうと慌ててカバンを探ると、私のパンツが入ってる。おニューじゃないけど洗濯したばかりのパンツ、花柄。

それをあたかもハンカチのように見せながら女性の肩から背中のあたりをトントンと拭く。遠くで誰かが、あれ、パンツじゃない？って何度も言ってるけど、聞こえないフリ。

さらにカバンの中にあったお手拭き（コンビニでもらったやつ）を出して、トントンと。

すみませんでした

許してくれるかなぁと、女性の顔をチラリ。

終始無表情だった女性が言う。

さあ、いくら払ってくれるの？

え

いくらくらいが妥当なんだろう？

オロオロ

いくら…？

口ごもる私。

いくらなら払えるの？2,000円？3,000円？

えっと、えっと

2,000円。

が、サイフにあるのは、1万円札のみ。それを渡すのがいやで、両替してこようとその場を離れる。連れを残して、○○タウンを歩き回る

という夢を今朝、見た。

この夢があらわしてるのはなんだろう？
