Headcanon Game

NAME: Nie Huaisang ( 聂怀桑 )

MEANING: 聂 - nie: to whisper, 怀 - huai: breats; bosom; heart; mind; to think of; to harbor in one's mind, 桑 - sang: mulberry

AKA: the Head-Shaker (一问三不知 - yi wen san bu zhi: one question three don't knows)

Huaisang knew that the Nie way of cultivating easier led to qi deviation, but he didn't know it would eventually happen to everyone wielding a saber with a spirit and he didn't expect his brother to be dying from it. He always thought that if Mingjue knew he would be dying, he'd tell him, not keeping it a secret.

Contrary to popular belief, he doesn't dislike all physical activity, he just dislike saber practice. Physical activity he likes includes leisurely strolls, catching birds and dancing.

He regularly helped dage writing his letters because he was better with words and had a better handwriting (not that Mingjue's handwriting was bad, but not as pretty as Huaisang's).

three things your muse likes doing in their free time ⎯⎯

Huaisang likes to sneak into the kitchen, partly because he does actually enjoy helping out with the cooking, but the kitchen workers also have the juiciest and most up to date gossip. And he likes that very much.

Taking strolls by himself, no guards, just him. Especially after he becomes sect leader, since being by himself means he can remove the mask a little and let the burden off his shoulders for a moment.

I guess I have to mention the obvious: painting, writing and reading poetry, taking care of his birds and re-arranging his collections.

a phobia your muse has ⎯⎯

He has many fears, but not really any phobia. The closest to a phobia would be having a qi deviation and killing people he cares about before dying himself. Losing his brother was high up on that list too, but that did unfortunately happen. Otherwise he just has a bit of general anxiety, but no specific phobias.

one thing your muse regrets ⎯⎯

Not asking his brother how he was doing. Not poking around more until he got a proper answer. Maybe he could've done something to help? Maybe he could've noticed that Clarity/Cleansing was being played wrongly? Maybe if he'd known, he'd practiced his saber more to make his dage happy and maybe that would've postpone his death?

Dage, Lan Xichen, Meng Yao (not JGY and only before he finds out what he did), Wei Wuxian and Jiang Wanyin. Then there are many that he likes enough or neither like nor dislike, but those people are the ones he loves or strongly likes.
