Favorite Korean Vocalists

Tagged by @lessinset ♡ to list my favorite Korean vocalists, 5 male & 5 female, but I’ll just list my general vocalist favorites without dividing them by gender, since I don’t have many female favorites even though I do like a lot of girl groups.

These 4 are my all-time favorites, considering I listen to their entire discography on a regular basis:

로이킴 (Roy Kim): If you want to know me better, listen to his sad songs. His voice is amazingly soothing and he can make me feel all kinds of things through his music. I truely respect and admire him as a person and as an artist and want to meet him and befriend him. His lyrics resonate with me so much and changed my life. Favorite Songs: Nothing Lasts Forever & Home.

김재중 (Kim Jaejoong): What can one say about this rock legend? Discovering his music made me start exploring more genres and Korean artists. Can’t count how many times I’ve cried to his songs and saw myself in so many of them. I respect him so much and I can’t wait for his new music since he’s finally out of military service. Favorite Song(s): My Only Comfort, Run Away & Love You To Death.

제시카정 (Jessica Jung): My favorite female Korean singer, her voice is so unique and different and, even though she has a nasal color which some people judge, listening to her voice makes me feel better. I’ve cried so many times listening to her in SNSD songs, especially Divine. Her debut as a solo artist gave me hope and rays of light in a really dark time of my life. Favorite Song(s): Love Me The Same.

에디킴 (Eddy Kim): So many jams. So many addicting parts and catchy songs. His music is casual yet classy and his voice is so attractive. I binge-listened to his music and fell in love with him in a single night. Favorite Song(s): The Manual
