Those of you who have heard me talk about boxing have heard me talk about the cross, a footwork drill that neurologically engrains the idea of stepping and transferring your full bodyweight with every punch. Those of you who have heard me talk about AI have heard me talk about STATA, a general-purpose software package which encapsulates data manipulation, visualization, statistics and automated reporting and can apply them to a wide range of venues including population forecasting, economics, and biomedical research. Silk moths produce their cocoons as larvae, a tedious process which begins through synthesizing sericin and fibroin in their silk glands and layering it in intricate structures via spinnerets in their heads. After a four stage metamorphosis that takes about two weeks, they secrete an enzyme that breaks down the walls of the cocoon and allows them to escape. The point here is deep work.
