i’ve hit a new layer of my approach to bbc.m because i still hate majority of their choices, but i haven’t actually watched this show in so long that restarting is has also brought nostalgia back.

i often think about merlin, a magical being that is as pagan as can be, leaving europe for a bit and returning, and suddenly christianity is widespread and nothing he’s achieved in his lifetime is valid anymore, like i’d be bummed too if i were him.

i’m often hard on arthur but it’s really because i’m angry at the wasted potential. speaking strictly of the show, they laid so much room for improvement in the early seasons and then just never went anywhere with it, it actually pains me.
