It’s been 7 years since The End of the Galaxy premiered, so here’s a little list of things I’d like to see if we ever get a WOY reboot. 🌌

•Lots of silly meta jokes about the original show’s cancellation!

•Westley gets his own arc feat. Harvax and Stok (don’t ask why those two specifically, I’m not even sure myself)

•Chad Starlight is in The Hero and The Enemies to fail to keep big cousin Bradley from being an idiot

•The Insurgent Generals are introduced much earlier, and Wander gets the codename “The Stardust Janitor”

•Also the Insurgents get a Penguins of Madagascar-esque arc

•Also also they sneak onto Dominator’s ship at one point (think after The Battle Royale but before My Fair Hatey)

•Also also also things go as far as possible without putting up a giant neon sign saying something along the lines of “Clipper and Wild Card are extremely gay because The Owl House did that and the fans LOVED it” (???)

"As much as I'm glad to see you," Cisco said, clasping his hands together. "I wish it wasn't because of business."

Maxine set a stack of textbooks on the table. "Hey, after this, we can hit Jitters if you want. Besides, aren't you bored being in the cortex?" 

"Yeah, you deserve to take a break from Team Flash work," Claude added, taking her sunglasses off. 

"Touché." Cisco grinned, pushing a straw onto his capri sun. "Although, I'm surprised you wanted us to be here for this." 

They were in a local library at Central City, gathered by a table. Surrounded by silence and secluded by bookshelves.  

"Why else would I ask one of the brilliant geniuses I know for help?" Maxine asked wryly. She chuckled. "Um, anyways. My test is gonna be grueling as hell. So, I need any advice on these astrophysics and aeronautical engineering."

"Oof." Claude grimaced, rubbing her forehead.

"Ugh, the atrocity known as academia," Cisco said, tsking. "I took years to earn my Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. I'd join grad school if it wasn't pricey as hell." 

"Wait, you didn't go?" Maxine furrowed her brows. "Why not?" 

"Here's a fun fact. . . working in S.T.A.R Labs and fighting crime doesn't pay much." Cisco flicked a hand. "So, it ain't enough for an entire semester."

Claude scrunched her face. "Didn't you know that before joining Team Flash? Look, I've been piling up your bank account. If you want extra for that, I'd be cool with it." 

"Yeah, you know I spend that cash on recreational purposes, not academic." Cisco chuckled, brushing some of his hair strands back. "Anyways. Maxine, tell us what you got. And we'll help you to the best of our abilities." 

Maxine jumped up to her feet, opening her notebook. Flipping to pages containing scribbles of numbers and letters. Arranged in equations. 

"Whoa," both Cisco and Claude murmured simultaneously. 

"I need to practice on improving my calculations regarding some equations and formulas." Maxine grimaced, steepling her fingers. "I'm having some trouble with the Doppler effect. I'd ask my professor for help. Except she's busy with dozens of students to grade. However, I guess you both need to check if your calculating skills are rusty." 

"Ah, I'm one hundred percent certain I still got it," Claude replied, smirking. 

Cisco wiggled his brows. "Can't wait to see if that's true." 

"Yeah, so, one of the problems features a train," Maxine said, opening a textbook. Turning it to an activity page. "It's highlighted in teal." 

Claude pulled a calculator out of her backpack. She switched it on and typed the equation from the paper. The Doppler effect. Copying the numbers displayed on the page. 

Cisco also whipped out a calculator, typing some equations. He sank deeper in his seat while a sigh whooshed out of him. 

When they both finished, they slid their calculators onto the table. Maxine grabbed her notebook and examined the results on the small screen. 

Maxine scrunched her face, rubbing her chin. "No offense, Professor Strodloge but. . . but Cisco's calculations look correct. The frequency in yours doesn't add up to the fixed speed. Meanwhile for Cisco, the frequency seems to be aligned with it." 

Ouch, she thought, staring ahead at a random wall. She compressed her mouth. 

"Fine, I guess I'm wrong about the calculations," Claude said, her voice low. "Only because astrophysics isn't exactly my area of study." 

"Pffft, you're a space explorer," Cisco pointed out cheekily. "Sorta ironic, don't ya think?" 

"I don't need to calculate while flying a spaceship, dude. I only measure the hours on how I can get there." 

"What an atrocious excuse. At least, the math involved in science is supposedly tolerable than those outside of it." 

"Hey! I'm good at some equations." 

"Yeah, at quantum mechanics, which is completely different from astrophysics." 

"Guys! Can we focus, pretty please?" Maxine frowned, plopping onto her chair. 

When Maxine tapped a pencil on the table's edge, Cisco grinned sheepishly. Claude slid a glance at her calculator, wiping the equations off. 

"Sorry, it's rare for Professor Strodloge to be wrong about science," Cisco murmured, gradually cracking up. "It tends to be trippy for anyone witnessing it." 

Claude shrugged, bowing her head. "Well, you happen to be better at it. Since frequencies are totally your thing." 

"You got that right, at least." Cisco snorted. "Well, you tried. So, that's something."

With a sigh, Claude nodded. 

"Can we get back to my equation problem?" Maxine asked. "My G.P.A depends on this, you know." 

"Yes, yes, so, this is how the train's frequency will be," Cisco replied in his 'comms' voice. "This amount of power ensures it'll travel in this exact rate."

more questions ALWAYS makes me happy!!!! especially about hibiki

i don’t know if hibiki has any particular favorite flowers, but a bunch of random ones that probably suit him (with meanings taken from One[1] single source) are white carnation (innocence), chamomile (patience), chives (usefulness), lotus flower (rebirth/purification), pink rose (gentleness), shit like that i don’t actually know much about flowers. lotus might actually be kinda perfect cuz A) they’re pink and B) the rebirth thing hibiki literally dies and then comes back so it works. there’s probably other flowers that suit that too but i am unfamiliar

either spring or summer, cuz that’s when the weather’s nice and all the nature’s flourishing. and there’s a shitton of bugs^_^ plus he kinda has bad memories associated with colder weather so the warm seasons really just win by default

getting thrown out again, this time for good/decommissioned and deactivated. he DOES NOT want to die, but specifically he doesn’t want to be deemed too useless to live, he is CONSTANTLY terrified of that and trying to prove his own worth. besides that he also has a Tiny fear of being submerged in water made rational by the fact he is not waterproof, he’s Big scared of thunderstorms (also kinda for good reason), and completely irrationally, he is terrified of routine maintenance and repairs and will not let ANYONE fix him up better than just doing it himself with duct tape. :(

good question….hibiki is too earnest to really hide things from others, he feels like it’s a personal failing of his if he keeps secrets, so he’s kind of an open book. although i guess the whole “doesn’t want others to think he’s useless” thing kinda ties into this, if there’s any side of himself he doesn’t want others to see it’s whatever makes him come off as dead weight

this is a fun one cuz hibiki has changed SO GODDAMN MUCH from his inception. OK rare hibiki meta lore he actually originally started off as a human shadowman expy with invisibility powers. and then very quickly i was like “OK well actually i don’t care so he’s a human passing robot now”. at some point he started to resemble the hibiki we all know and love today but the most consistent trait that i Guess was the first thing decided about him that has literally never left him is he’s always been mute, like that’s why his name is Hibiki cuz hibiki means sound and i thought it was ironic and ironic meaning names are fun. anyway current iteration hibiki is definitely inspired by megaman and other astroboy expy type characters including astroboy himself. and admittedly probably also a bit of kiibo from danganronpa cuz i was like sixteen

again hibiki is too earnest to put up a front in most cases, but he is generally more like. IDK subdued? around people he wants to make a good impression on. he’s definitely shy around strangers and more likely to hide behind the nearest person he trusts than have to have a normal social interaction where he is expected Not to do a favor for someone, but when it comes to people he deems “threats to humanity” then it’s his job to take them out and he gets all serious and stubborn, he barely even gives them the chance to defend themself before he makes his mind up. he has to REALLY trust someone before he lets himself fully relax and like, able to recognize when they’re joking with him instead of being genuinely mean, but in general he’s usually just nice (albeit stubborn and liable to scold people for ding dangerous things) to pretty much everyone

i always thught he’d like utada hikaru and that is partly cuz of kingdom hearts which isn’t even out yet in CMY2K timeline. i feel like he’d like slow chill 90s R&B and the kind of ambient D&B you heart in PS1 and dreamcast games. and as for songs donut hole by hachi suits hibiki lyrically REALLY well

i kinda mentioned this earlier with the human shadowman expy thing LOL but most of the changes made to hibiki over time were very small and gradual instead of just suddenly he’s this whole different character now. it took a couple years of hibiki existing before he started really turning into Hibiki, but i guess maybe the biggest single step change was either making him a robot or making him a kid, those are both two pretty big changes that i think if i recall happened pretty suddenly at once. not at the same time but still

“You must be Mother Frère.” Ser Achart spoke in an even tone, dragging her one hazel eye towards me as if through a pool of molasses. 

The other, unwaveringly committed to her noble occupation, remained focused on Fay and the imposing form of Wilkes. This must be why they called her the Everwatcher.

“Y-Yes.” I responded softly, “You must be Ser Achart. I have heard tales of your bravery.”

With a calculated turn of the head, she looked at me and bowed ever so slightly but did not otherwise acknowledge my praise. Fay hissed something in what I recognized to be a lizard language and spat across the table at her. 

“Mind your manners!” A taller, brown-haired man spoke up from behind Ser Achart, “You are in the presence—!”

Fay slammed her fist into the table, making it groan painfully upon impact. “Quiet, you glorified tagalong, or I’ll tear your throat out!”

I flinched at the terrifying way her voice itched its way out from behind her teeth, though Ser Achart seemed unfazed by it. However, the brown-haired man I now gathered to be Sartor clearly didn’t share her stoicism. He shrank back, fully feeling the weight of Fay’s threat. 

“Introduce yourself.” Ser Achart commanded as if nothing of note had occurred.

“Fuck off. If you don’t already know who I am, then you shouldn’t be standing here.” Fay quipped back angrily.

The knight delivered her a long look before gripping the hilt of her blade and squaring her shoulders but offering no rebuttal. In response, Wilkes caught the compass he'd been flipping in his hand with a threatening finality, a low growl entering the air around us.

“Sh-Shall we begin?” I suggested nervously, “Th-There is much to do...”

“Aye, if’n ye’s be done flirtin’ we can start on.” Axtapor said with a frown as he unrolled a long map across the table before us. 

Fay leaned over the table, spreading her hands eagerly over the map, eyes lighting with wild promise. “Shut your mouth now. The adults are talking.”

He frowned, but before he could get a word in, Ser Achart’s voice came through, accompanied by the tick-tock of her rosary. “This is a quiet time.”

I tossed Axtapor a sympathetic glance that he met with an already weary-looking one. Interesting wouldn’t even begin to describe our time together.

“L-Let’s begin.”
