There’s a giant mass of red fur sitting in the middle of the room, but the puppy-dog eyes are a clear sign of a friendly dog. Even if she is big enough to be a bed for someone Hemlock’s size.
Hemlock squeaks, immediately diving into the ball of fluff.
He uses his nails to give scritches and help comb through the dog's massive fur. "Oh, what a pretty baby! Who's my big baby?"
He cooes and fawns over the dog for several minutes, fetching a few dog treats for her to eat.

"It certainly does! Health is a very big factor in a person's taste as well as diet. If things are balanced and healthy, they taste rich and very filling. Have a healthy body, but with minimal nutrition, it feels a lot like eating something sweet. Sort of like cake. And then vice versa, it's sort of... bitter. Like how wine is when you're little and try it for the first time."
He shakes his head, "Having a bad diet with an unhealthy body is sort of like eating something sour. It's not.. pleasant, but it's food."

Entry I: Feb. 3rd, 1810
I'm not sure what to write in here.
Is it normal for young men to write in here? I suppose if it's my own, I can write how I please. I'll just have to hide it from my maid. Mrs. Carter is very sweet, but makes a point to be in everyone's business. Heaven forbid she finds what I write, I'm sure she'd spread her gossip like wildfire in town.
But this is my own little journal! It's pretty with the black roses, though it makes it almost eerie with the red cover. But I suppose it's fitting, given how gloomy home is. Father said this house has been standing as long as his great-great-grandfather found this place. Nevermind this land was stolen from, but of course he doesn't bother to mention such things.
It's made of this impossibly dark wood, I can't remember the tree exactly. Yet here it stands, with all the trappings of a gothic castle. We even had the gardens that span at least a few yards, Mother insisted upon them.
Oh goodness, I've been rambling. Better get back to my studies before my tutor arrives. Until we chat again, little journal!

Hemlock just wanted to make some tea cakes for Noah and Tenko.
But he couldn't be sneaky in someone else's home, not when Tenko always seemed to know where he was. Hemlock had been surprised by the human, so focused on decoratng that the other managed to decorate his nose with frosting!
"Hey..! I'll have you know that I worked hard on that." He giggled playfully, chiding him for the interruption. He licked his nose clean, pausing before chasing Tenko with the piping bag.
Suffice to say, they had a larger mess by the time the cakes were done.

His nails gently prickle at Noah's shoulders, teasing his skin as he straddles Noah's back.
Hemlock giggles, his sharp ears wiggling in delight as his lover shivers. Lathering his hands in a gentle rose oil, he slowly works at the top of his back. "Goodness... Your muscles are all coiled like springs."
He focuses, forgetting the original nature of this intimate act. Now, it's a mission to give his Prince proper comfort. His fingers push and work firmly, feeling each curve and ridge. While Hemlock was never a trained masseuse, he knew anatomy well enough to know how each one should be worked to relax. He hummed softly, mumbling Welsh lyrics of old songs he knew. By the time he's finally finished, Hemlock is hearing the gentle snores.
He can only sigh fondly and tuck Noah into bed. The vampire kisses his forehead, "Goodnight, my dear. Pleasant dreams."
