on my first round of watching vrains, i didn’t ship anyone. i liked the concept of aiyusa, if anything, but that was about it.

a little later down the line, i started writing ryoken on tumblr (*cough* @/stardustedknight *cough*), where i made my first ever tumblr friend. said friend writes for all kinds of vrains characters (bless her), including spectre. one day, we made a thread with ryoken and spectre — out of nowhere, with no plotting. and holy shit did i fall hard for them.

that was in late 2020. on my second round of watching vrains, i properly realised the potential of these two. the childhood friends to lovers? immaculate. the years of yearning & pining? indescribable. the undying loyalty and care? sign me the f up.

since then i have written well over 12 fan fictions for them (which is a lot for me and includes meaningless, unpublished drabbles), have commissioned 9 fanarts of them and have spent a ridiculous amount of time thinking about them while listening to music that somehow fits them.

i took a break from vrains somewhen around early 2021 until early march of this year, for multiple reasons. i genuinely thought my obsession subsided during that time (i do tend to hyperfixate on things). i was wrong. these b1tches have me in the craziest chokehold and i am so sad about them being a rarepair (+ them not having gotten much attention in the anime) when there is so much potential.

shoutout to all the respectful-shippers out there, i love you all. please come scream with me about them (i am also on twitter at mukagcn). be aware that i label myself as a speryo shipper rather than ryospe hehe.

After we only ever got to see Loki on screen for no more than about twenty minutes — it has been confirmed that the first two episodes of LOKI will each be a little over 50 minutes long!

I can’t even describe how this makes me feel. It’s so surreal and fills me with so much joy.

Hello there! The name’s Nia. I am a very chaotic, introverted german fangirl that’s been lurking around this website for an incredibly long time. Probably a little too long. Sometimes when motivation and uni are kind to me I write fanfics or somehow create video edits of shows/movies/animes that I like. You may also find me sharing pictures of the merchandise I spend all my nonexistent money on or rambling about fandom-related-things.

This blog was created purely for fun and for me to track all the fandoms I am a part of. I like to look at fanart & GIFs and spam the dash as soon as I watched a new series/anime.

So, beware of spoilers as well as spam! I will do my best to always tag both of them, as well as other possible triggers. If there’s anything specifically you’d like me to tag, feel free to send me a message. side note: i only tag stuff as spoilers if they are very very new.

One thing I absolutely don’t like is any form of hate, so know that I will not tolerate that here. Any human/otherworldly being is welcome here, no matter the gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity etc. etc.

Whoever decides to poke at my little bubble of comfort will be blocked without hesitation.

so, i finished catching up on demon slayer (finally) and watched mugen train two days ago. what a great movie!! the visuals and the music was fantastic and i cried my eyes out at the end.

the second season was also very enjoyable and emotional af. i can’t wait for the next season!

I‘ve been watching Doctor Who during the past few days and I‘ve got to say that no other series has managed to make me cry as often as this one does. It’s fantastic, really — all the performances, the little storylines and how they are all connected. Absolutely brilliant.

I am currently on episode 7 of season 3, so far from done. But I can already say, with confidence, that the tenth doctor is my favourite one. I love him so much and I want to give him a big hug ;-; He’s really getting to me and already so close to my heart it’s unreal.

i feel like another issue i have with sylvie and loki is the terrible rep in general. oh so bisexuals are attracted to anybody. and they made loki genderfluid so that they could have a wlm relationship. and then they implied that loki being a woman was a mistake, a nexus event. and i KNOW that being in a “straight passing” relationship as a bisexual still means you’re bisexual. it doesn’t invalidate that. but loki was now a canon bisexual (more than valkyrie was shown to be) so i wanted this to be their time to actually have a same sex relationship. and they didn’t.

I can certainly understand why this is another issue some people have with this entire “issue”. To be honest, I always thought and still think that Marvel won’t show a same sex relationship in their movies/series anytime soon. They’re just a little (I don’t even know how to put it) bad when it comes to this topic, unfortunately.

We still don’t know what Sylvie’s nexus event was. I doubt that it was caused by her being born a woman — if that were the case, why didn’t the TVA take her away sooner?

I’m also of the opinion that they could have easily grasped this opportunity and introduce their first same sex relationship, but again I’m not really surprised that they’d rather choose self-cest.

But, to cast some positive light on this situation; The series isn’t over yet and I have seen some amazing theories about this. Even if they won’t go for a same sex relationship, maybe they’ll still turn this around in a different way. Let’s wait and see what else they’ve got in store for us :)

i just can’t believe this episode? they always said that there would be no romantic relationship and then this?? i hope they were telling the truth and loki realises he just wanted to be loved and feel love and that this is just platonic. or else istg i will quit marvel because i cannot support this selfcest. and it’s not just because i’m a lokius shopper. i’m not dumb enough to think marvel would give us that, but this was so much worse. loki and sylvie just threw me off for the entire episode. and b19 was the absolute best in this episode. “i looked happy” i personally want to kill whoever did this to her. “maybe i had a jet ski”??? i can’t do this. i want to make ravonna feel pain. like. i’m so mad. thank god for the after credits scene. but still. like in general, i think without the selfcest this would have been an okay episode. because we know the pruned don’t actually disappear and die forever, there’s hope. and it’s interesting to see what the time keepers and all of this really means.

This is another aspect that confuses me. A few days ago, I read an article in which Kate (I think that’s the director’s name, correct me if I’m wrong) talked about episode 3. She did say that the whole thing wasn’t necessarily (whatever that means) romantic, but was supposed to be more of a character study. So, it does confuse me that, in episode 4, they dump this whole “Loki is in love with Sylvie” thing on us, completely out of nowhere. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I didn’t feel any “romantic tension” between them, so for me the whole thing felt rather forced. I appreciated Mobius calling Loki out like he did & I’d definitely prefer them having this go down platonically, after all.

I can’t support self-cest either, but I personally wouldn’t quit Marvel because of it. I still like the stories that Marvel tells, Loki is still my comfort character and I like him no less because of what path Marvel chose for him.

I’m unsure of whether or not I ship Lokius, but I would have preferred them being canon.

Hunter B-15 was just. So, so great in this episode. I’m very glad that she was willing to confront Sylvie and had the guts to explore her past memories and even support Sylvie afterwards. Same thing goes for Mobius. I expected him to not believe Loki, but he even went out of his way to steal Ravonna’s TemPad and see if there might be something going on after all. And don’t even get me started on him confronting her afterwards, it was so incredibly heartbreaking. Really had an impact on me ngl.

I think it was still a good episode despite it all, especially because we know that Loki and Mobius should be fine. I’m looking forward to the next episode — and am hoping that they won’t go much further with the self-cest thing. And if they do — well, we’ll just have to live with it.

This romance thing with Loki and Sylvie threw me in for a LOOP. Like I was so excited to see Loki develop as a person and character, and the new findings about the TVA were literally pipping, but like did he almost confess and then kiss her??? Like for WHAT REASON! And don’t even get me started on them pruning Mobius….I need to send marvel my therapy bill

I, like many of us I’m sure, have always wanted something (movie or series or whatevs) that was just about Loki. And I was incredibly happy when they announced this series. And from the beginning, I kind of feared that they might pull something like this — although I quite honestly didn’t expect it to be self-cest, of all things.

However, self-cest aside, the romantic relationship that they are seemingly attempting to build between Loki and Sylvie appears to be rather “forced” and unnecessary. I already mentioned this, but I felt like they had more of a sibling dynamic going on. And I would have preferred it to remain that way. Especially because, and I desperately hope that they are not going for this route, a romantic relationship shouldn’t be what redeems Loki.

Also am I the only one who feels like Sylvie is like? Not into Loki? I feel like she does care about him but — idk her reactions and facial expressions (also in ep3, for example when Loki sang to her and she was all ?????) lead me to believe that she’d rather not kiss a variant of hers lmao

They did choose a rather odd moment to try and let the ship sail — and the whole scene in it’s entirety gives me mixed feelings. Mayhaps but this could also be a clown’s hope Loki wanted to say/do something else or had different intentions. I suppose we’ll know sooner or later.

That aside, the fact that they pruned Mobius was, in my opinion, a rather nice plottwist. It was completely unexpected — I was so ready for him and Loki to take on the TVA and then BAM. I think it was very well done and it shocked me to the core (I was literally shaking and close to tears ngl).

Considering that Loki is alive, I’m convinced that Mobius will be okay as well, so yay. But yes, I also need to send Marvel my therapy bill.
