Heather and friends 2

Since I added a few platonic Fire Emblem F/Os... I figured I should do them justice and make this post!

Ferdinand

Heather is affectionate with friends: with Ferdinand her usual affection is encouraging pats! But they also hug often! She can never say no to a hug from Ferdinand.

I don't care about cannon. She gave him the recepcie for pastries he made for Dorothea in his supports.

And in return he helped her perfect her tea brewing skills- which wasn't anyhow hard she just made that problem up so they were even.

They actually do that often. They just do favors to each other and then make up problems so the other one doesn't have to feel indebted to the other.

They also really like learning skills from each other in general. No matter how basic they can just trust each other to ask without any shame.

During the ball, other than Sylvain- Heather danced with Ferdinand the most. And they actually practiced together before that so arguably she danced with Ferdinand more.

But he was almost the last person to find out about her feelings for Sylvain- which he felt quite "betrayed" for. The reason why was because it just never came up and she kept forgetting to tell him since whenever they spoke they jumped from one topic to another so it just went poof from her mind to mention it all to him.

Post game they go on small horseback ride trips at least once a month. It's not always just the two of them but they are always arranging it.

Lysithea

Heather is affectionate with friends: and with Lysithea it's more of a verbal affection since she compliments her- but in a genuine way.

But unfortunately just like Claude Heather does sometimes tease Lysithea- but she teases everyone shorter than her with a few comments every once in a while.

As good as they get along Lysithea hates how Heather is always insistent on wasting her time. She always thinks of excuses and Lysithea is the person who calls her out on it (which is eye opening considering how younger Lysithea is so haha same thing as the one with Cyril I mentioned in part one but Lysithea is more h a r s h).

I think I mentioned this before but most of the sweets Heather makes almost always goes to Lysithea. It's always the "I made too much and I can't eat them by myself" excuse.

And they often also bake together. Lysithea helps Heather find more and more interesting recipes to try and Heather is always hyped to try those out.

Lysithea is often surprised how off the recipe Heather goes, but it usually ends well so she doesn't question her adding more of something, or just some magical ingredient that wasn't brought up anywhere.

Whenever Lysithea is studying Heather does everything not to distract her. She'd also scold anyone who'd bother her.

They don't spend time with each other too often, but they never miss each other much really. They both just use the opportunities to hang out rather than actively make and seek them out.

And when there's a distance between them they just write letters to each other to check up on one another. Just to make sure everything's alright.

Marianne

Heather is affectionate with friends: with Marianne she likes to place her hand on her shoulder in a comforting way.

She's pretty much acting in very similar way to Hilda with Marianne. Always making sure she's included, helping her out when necessary, hearing her when she needs it etc.

But they also share their love for animals. And Heather is so hyped to know that Marianne can talk to them.

Heather loves rodents so whenever Marianne feeds them Heather comes along to look at the adorable mice.

Marianne is rather surprised by Heather's odd preference towards animals, but for some reason that makes her trust Heather more.

Marianne was the first person to learn about Heather's intense fear of (or distrust towards that's a bit more accurate) cats.

She thinks that Marianne is so cool and she never stops expressing that. It's a bit overwhelming to her pre time skip, but later on she gets used to it.

Heather does feel a little guilty, and she always tells to herself to not overwhelm Marianne too much. But once they're together it's hard for her to remember.

Post game also joins Heather and Ferdinand on their horse trips.

Imagine having a picnic with your f/o!

It’s a beautiful, sunny day. It’s not too hot or too cold, and there’s a little bit of a breeze. You’ve set up your picnic things under a tree, one that has branches extended overhead to shade you.

Did you bring a real picnic basket, or did you use some other bag? What kind of blanket are you sitting on?—if you’re sitting on anything at all. Maybe you packed plates and silverware, or maybe just napkins were good enough.

Once you’re all settled beneath the tree, it’s time to eat! Maybe your f/o is the type to put their love and effort into creating something homemade, or maybe they just bought some pre-made food from the store. (Maybe even a mix of both!) Is it a proper meal with a main course and side dishes, or did they just pack some little snacks or sweets? What kind of drinks did they bring?

Did you bring any favorite comfort objects, toys, or games along with you? Maybe you brought things to do some other activity—a camera for taking photos, a sketchbook and writing utensils for drawing or writing, a book to read, polish to paint your nails with… Your f/o would help you gather up everything beforehand so it’d be easy to take it along.

Once you’re done eating, maybe you pack up your things and head home. Or maybe you stay for a while, enjoying the beautiful weather while the sun still hangs high in the sky. Maybe you lay down and watch the clouds, pointing out ones that resemble one thing or another. Maybe you have fun with some of the toys, games, or activities you brought along with you. You could run around in the grass playing tag, blow bubbles, play frisbee or catch, jump rope… There are so many fun outdoor games! Maybe you climb the tree you sat down next to, getting a bit of help from your f/o in order to scale the trunk. Maybe you pick some of the flowers and plants that are growing nearby, either to press, make daisy chains with, or just to put in a vase at home. Plants aren’t the only thing to be found outside, of course—maybe you found some cool pinecones, rocks, feathers, or even belongings someone left behind. Or maybe you just close your eyes, relax, and take a nap… your f/o might stay awake while you sleep, or they might find themselves drifting off alongside you as the soft breeze rustles the leaves overhead.

Whatever you end up eating and whatever you choose to do afterwards, you and your f/o eventually pack up everything, ready to go home after a tasty meal and enjoyable time outdoors. You hold hands as you head back, grins shining on each of your faces. It was a wonderful picnic, and your f/o hopes you can have another fun outing like this very soon—they might even be planning it already.

I know we mentioned Ozymandias and Aniketos but I'd like to also say I see my romantic f/o John Parry being friends with Aniketos as well! Parry is deeply in tune with nature and would value Aniketos' wealth of knowledge about what he knows regarding the forest; Parry is a deeply curious soul and would be so grateful to ask questions and listen to Aniketos' advice and observations about the local flora and fauna!

Another f/o of yours, your familial Rex, is someone I see my platonic Watson as well as my romantic f/os Bond and Alfred finding a kindred spirit with Rex, all three being soldiers in their own right. I see Watson taking it upon himself to make sure Rex doesn't push himself too hard physically. Bond would enjoy a sparring buddy and be happy to help him with his stealth technique. Alfred would be that friend who will swap war stories with Rex while also teaching him how to cook if he doesn't already and make it his mission to make Rex laugh more :)

Ooooooh my goodness yes, John Parry and Aniketos would get on very well. Ani would definitely have a deep curiosity for John's....unique travels. Since Ani is tied to his tree, he can't travel very far, and while he's content to remain within his home forest he does enjoy stories that travelers might bring. The breadth of stories that John would bring would sate Ani deeply (for the time being at least). He'd be only too grateful to answer John's questions about the forest, certainly glad that a mortal is being respectful enough to make sure he travels safely, and would provide tips and warnings as needed.

AAAH Rex gets so many buddies! I think for Rex in the Star Wars: Rebels timeframe, he would get along very strong with Watson and Alfred - veterans bonding over their time on the front line, no matter how different those lines looked. But for the Clone Wars era, I think he'd appreciate having friends to help him laugh. Bond being a sparring buddy would be very unique - Bond is a spy and Rex is a commander of an army unit, he'd have a different perspective on how wars are supposed to be won. But he respects the need for stealthy infiltrating, and wouldn't turn down some hand-to-hand combat sessions.

Mostly though, please, please, Alfred cook some home-loved recipes for Rex. He has to sit through clone army rations so often, he'd probably think he'd fainted from the taste explosion.

This was such a lovely ask to think about, it's a grand time to think of F/Os being friends~ Feel free to stop by anytime if you wanna chat F/Os and self-inserts!
