Sorry if I’m wrong, and I hope I don’t startled you. But your name bears a striking resemblance to someone I knew back in the MySpace days who drew invader zim. Had an irken oc with grey eyes named invader chey. I used to draw IZ a long time ago then too, I don’t as much but I remember MySpace dying off and losing the account. If that doesn’t ring a bell then sorry for the mix up and I love your IZ art! Makes me wanna pick my characters back up.

Okay, so basically two months after the events of the movie, Atta becomes overworked and stressed as Queen, making her relationship with Flik rocky and almost a hassle to keep due to not being able too fill each other’s needs, which soon leads them breaking up. This hits Flik pretty hard, causing him to leave the island to stay with the circus bugs to distract himself. Which he soon meets my bugsona, Polly, a traveling bee artist who had worked for the circus a few times here and there. She’s very closed off and quiet, which caused Flik to avoid her at first. When working on a backdrop for P.T. one day, Polly officially meets Flik who accidentally messes up her work, causing the bee to panic before the ant fixed it just as fast. Taken back by how quick the ant was on his feet, Polly starts up a conversation with him, pulling Flik out of his funk while also making her open up more much to the circus bugs’ surprise. The two quickly bond over their creative natures, spending more time together until one day Flik tells her why he left Ant Island to forget his breakup, causing Polly to reveal that she left her own colony from being a worker bee to become an artist who’s now on the run from a tyrant queen bee who’s trying to get her back under her thumb.

Your new Bugs Life selfship is ADORABLE! (You as a bee is perfect X3) I've loved those films since I was a kid! Though I'm wondering how you work around the whole thing with him and Princess Atta since it's implied they have a thing for each other in the film. Not to mention how your bee meets Flick in the first place. Is she a Circus or City bug, or does she live near Ant Island?

Bonus: I suppose this is a bit obvious, but I've been thinking "Love Bug" as a ship name XD

Usually with canon ships, I just have it that the two canon characters fall out of love with each other 🤷‍♀️ like I don’t mind Atta, her character is very interesting and relatable! I mostly though can see her being supportive and maybe even poking fun at Flik about his new crush, embarrassing him while they’re still friends.

My bugsona pretty much is a traveling artist (makes art out of beeswax), where she left her colony due to being stubborn and being an outcast. So eventually she crosses paths with Flik and the other ants where Flik takes interest in her art due to him being an inventor and all that, bonding over creating things.

And I WAS JUST LITERALLY THINKING OF CALLING THE SHIP THAT!!! 😭

This is probably gonna sound weird to you, but whenever you get a new f/o, I try to guess if they’re gonna make or break it into your f/o list but no matter what they’ll never beat make it as top f/o Scratch/Todd

Some character do come and go, like others are kinda dormant where I don’t do a lot of self ship stuff with them as the others, heck I even have those where I’ll draw like one drawing and that’s it, but Scratch/Todd will always have a special place.

You gotta crush on Flik? Man, that brings me back to my childhood! I remember he was my second favorite ant man, the first one being Z from Antz! There was also a guy named Shando from Gallavants as a third favorite! Funny how there were so many!

Funny thing is that I watched Antz a lot compared to A Bug’s Life when I was a kid, even though I thought the designs at times were creepy in that movie lol, but there was just something endearing about Flik’s character that I just always enjoyed him more.

It's gonna be based off the Rosy Maple Moth!

It looks like this!

They'd be a cousin of Gypsy and they'd be visiting the circus to watch her perform!

I like to think since it looks more colorful than most moths, Heimlich thinks they're a butterfly, but they explain that they're a moth.

And when they met Slim, it's almost like love at first sight, at least for Slim. Mostly because he'd never seen something so colorful and pretty before and he'd be starstruck.

Meanwhile Francis would mock him constantly lol.
