# plant girl 🌿

the first time nagi revealed to you that he had a cactus you were over the moon. you didn't think this boy could get any more endearing than he already was.

he holds the cactus up to you so you can see it.

"this is choki," he had said, with a small smile. "he doesn't need much, which is why we get along so well."

since then you and nagi have come a long way. in your relationship and in the amount of plants that you own. they canopy your living area, and bring a lot of light and love into your home.

due to each plant being different and having different needs, they each have their own watering schedule. which is why nagi is crouching by the windowsill with his little black spray bottle in hand.

the windowsill is where choki and the succulents live. you remember when you first got all the small succulents that line your window. it was in the first few months of you moving in with nagi, running errands with him on one of his free days.

"oh! we're almost done, just a few more things and we can go home." you'd said as you crossed another item off your list. when you didn't get a reply you looked up from the paper in your hand to find your boyfriend.

he was distracted by a small display of succulents just across from where you stood with your cart. his fingers carefully poking at each plant's leaves.

"succulents! how cute," you'd said once you made it to his side, "should we get some?"

the rest was history.

you think besides choki, those little succulents are nagi's favorite plants in the house. well besides the orchids that sit near your desk. he'd bought the orchid plant for you after you offhandedly mentioned that orchids were one of your favorite flowers.

he'd brought it home a few days after that and set it relatively close to your workspace so that when you looked away from whatever occupied you, it would be the first thing you would see.

nagi finishes spraying the succulents, moving to stand as he says; "grow well."

he turns to find you and his eyes narrow as he sees you making your way to the orchids, your own little spray bottle in hand. yours is emerald green as opposed to his black one.

you nearly jump out of your skin when a hand unexpectedly grabs your wrist.

"what're you doin'?"

you look up to meet the eyes of your boyfriend, his brows pinched together and a small pout forming on his lips.

"watering venus?" you answer, your head tilted in confusion.

"i'll do it." he insists, pulling you to him by the wrist he holds and practically crushing you against him.

"sei! why can't i water venus?" you ask, looking up at him with your chin resting against his chest.

"cuz it's my job," he replies without taking his eyes off the plant, "your's is to just look at it and think of me."

you stare at him mouth agape, heat flushing your face. you didn't expect a reply like this, it makes you curl your fingers into nagi's shirt and bury your face in his chest lest you melt into a puddle at his feet.

"you're so unfair seishiro," you murmur into his shirt.

nagi just smiles, rubbing your back with his free hand. he loves his plant girl.

#as i said i'm only now catching up on what happened at red rocks and honestly i'm just so confused as to #why people are getting hate mail for being at a show???? like unless you were right there at the show you will NOT know what's going on #you can't just ''leave'' a venue because there's security measures ensuring that people don't run and cause a stampede #i get that the team there sucked and should've been much better equipped for an outdoor venue but why the fuck are we blaming the fans???? #and then being mad at louis??? yeah i get that his tweet wasn't the best but i'd imagine that he was trying to help out as much as he could #ensuring fans were safe and taken care of. pretty sure he is the one paying all hospital bills and stuff as well #yeah i know he's an artist and he has people doing things for him but also it's louis. he might not have been at ground zero #but i bet he was doing everything he could to help get fans to safety and he had to tweet something amidst all that #just to reassure fans a bit more and he did what he could #besides. i'm sorry but instead of being all ''louis/his team should've done more'' can we all just make sure that the fans #who were actually in that hail storm and who actually got horribly injured and who actually went through such a scary situation #are feeling okay? like why are we arguing about trivial things when what matters the most out of this situation is the fans and their safety #i honestly need people who were not at the venue and people who do not understand how traumatic things can be #to just shut up and log off #anyways to everyone present at red rocks i'm sending you so much love and i'm so sorry something so traumatic happened #i hope everyone is safe and is being treated for their injuries 💌

chenle; very angular cheekbones, always looks somber or glaring, but so so ethereal. was on my side so much<3 gave little nods and waves. read signs and pointed some out and laughed at them. was barely sweating lowkey

haechan; literally never came on my side :( looked at me once and smiled though! looked tired lowkey and sat down most of one song when everyone else was up and running around! but his energy was powerful. his body control and dancing was fluid and sharp. voice card never declined. i just wish he could get more rest. he seemed overworked. but the cameras don’t do his irl beauty justice.

Post-adrenaline translation: I had an absolute blast! For the sake of this post, I’m gonna act like this isn’t a CATB-centric blog. Because it’s not, but it is at the same time.

I went to see Psychedelic Porn Crumpets last night, took a friend with me. We saw this long line wrapping around the block, and we assumed, oh, this must be it!

Had a gut feeling that this wasn’t the correct line from the beginning… I started to wonder if PPC fans really acted, and talked like the ones around us, but initially I just chalked it up to them being Orlando locals. I know. Bias. To be fair though, indie rock fans have a specific look, and I wasn’t seeing anyone of that sort.

At the entrance, we had some ticket malfunctions, eventually the staff just gave up and let us go anyways. Upon further evaluation during a quick bathroom break, surprise!

We were at a Cuco concert.

We’d stepped into the wrong venue, the one right next to the one we were supposed to be at.

All was good though! A bit taken aback, there was no line upon entry, the (correct) venue was TINY, and we still had time. Opening act was a group called Nolan Potter’s Nightmare Band, never heard anything like them, definitely have to check them out.

By the time the support act was finished and PPC were setting up the stage/doing a quick soundcheck, we were SO. CLOSE. To the stage. Here’s a little video during Found God in a Tomato…

I’m not kidding. This was my view, right under frontman Jack McEwan’s nose. I could practically reach over just enough and touch his pedal board.

It felt so cathartic rocking out along with other great people around me as well, I felt electrified! The band are so incredibly talented, I can’t stress it enough. High Visceral parts 1 and 2 are a must-listen.

As the show finished, my ears felt like they were underwater, like I’d just stepped off a flight. Maybe I shouldn’t have been so up close to the stage, especially without earplugs, but then again…

Setlist acquired! Thanks Jack, you’re the best.

I’m exhausted, but I really needed that feeling last night. The crowd were so respectful, I had so much fun. I’ve been a PPC fan for a while and have always loved their live act. Definitely one to remember. 🧡
