Amma and Quartz: GRHRHRGRGRGRGRGRVEVSVSBSHSBUWVDISBFOFNFOFNFODDJDKDMDK. THEY ARE. bestesy friends of all time. siblings by choice, not blood. grew up together. Quartz is the person Amma is most genuine with, and Amma is the person Quartz is the most outspoken around. Just their presence increases the productivity, confidence, and overall mental health of the other person. i <3 them

Ubi and Lapiz: Once again. The (found family) siblings of all time. Ubi practically raised Lapiz. Lapiz gave Ubi his name (it started as a nickname but when Ubi started to transition, they chose that for his actual name. It's the Latin word for where? because according to Lapiz (and anyone who's met him) they suck at finding things). Inseparable. You can't have one w/o the other

Yra and Lapiz: Bad boy has soft spot for the child of the group. What can I say? A lot actually. Yra doesn't like pretty much anyone in the group, but Lapiz was just so genuinely nice in a way that young people are, that Yra is friendly to them in return. They're the one who found Yra and dragged them to the group. The siblings of all time (do you see a pattern)

Amma and Yra: OH FUCKING GOD DONT HET ME STATTED KN THRRSE BITCHES. I HATE THEM SO FUCKING KUCH. I WANT TO EAT WET CARDBOARD. GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHGHG. Okay so basically starts as typical rivals (to lovers) thing; they butt heads constantly and always try to show each other up. Yra's kinda "grumpy"(-amma) to everyone, so it isn't much of a change, but Amma is usually so nice to everyone around her that it's almost funny watching her completely change when talking to Yra. They Don't Like Each other. But an argument gets heated, secrets get spilled, and they're suddenly closer than ever. They still bicker often, but it's a lot more lighthearted. Till one thing leads to another, and they end up dating (to no one's surprise)

Hello lovely lovely people of Tumblr, I’ve been awful at being on here so my sincerest apologies 🤍 Life and work has been hectic but I’m slowly making my way through my notifications!!!

Today’s snippet is from a WiP I have for @thebrownstone servers Eras Tour Event. Since this fic is inspired by a song in Speak Now, you guys’ll read the whole thing on 22nd of April 🤍

He’s the one who let ‘sweetheart’s and ‘babe’s and ‘I love you’s in the morning get to his head; he’s the one who foolishly thought they might have meant something more to Alex, just the way they did to him; he’s the one who fell in love with the sun personified knowing he himself is nothing but darkness.

Big strong arms wrap themselves around Henry, tears continuing to stream down his face and everything feels right in a way it shouldn’t. Because Alex doesn’t love him the way he wants, the way he yearns, the way he needs.

Those arms shouldn’t be around him, shouldn’t hold him like he matters because then he’ll believe it. He’ll believe and misinterpret all the friendly gestures the way he’s been doing all these months…

Because Alex doesn’t mean it like that when he holds Henry in a tight embrace, when ‘sweetheart’ spills from his lips like they never belonged to anyone else, when he looks at Henry with that shine in his eyes that makes him weak in the knees. He means them all in a friendly way.

Alex is just affectionate, loving, he is just gregarious. And Henry? Henry is weak, and in love, willing to live off of love crumbs and slowly die like a parched man drinking sea water than accept the reality.

which oc has the best sleep schedule? the worst sleep schedule?

Quartz probably has the best, though Ubi would be a close second. Meanwhile, Amma and Yra are fairly tied for last, but Yra probably has the worst.

2. which oc has never had their first kiss?

Lapiz, considering they're still young (and they're aroace.) And maybe Ubi too

4. which oc can cook? what’s their favorite thing to cook?

Quartz can cook and bake! She loved making bread, and anything to do with bread!

8. which oc prefers flowing clothes? tight clothes?

Yra prefers flowing clothes (both for trans reasons and cuz it makes them look cool.) Amma prefers tight clothes, cuz she needs her clothes to stay out of the way (she's a swordswoman and an actress on the side!)

12. what oc is the best at dealing with stress? how do they deal with it?

Quartz, definitely. Woman is the queen of stress relief tactics, from journaling, to art, to deep breathing, and to self care.

14. which oc makes their bed every morning? which one thinks it’s a waste of time?

Quartz is very neat, so she always makes sure to make her bed! Meanwhile, Lapiz is a messy teen who is constantly just running around, and thinks it's a waste of time.

18. which oc cried during the lion king and SWEARS they didn’t?

Yra, definitely. "No, Amma, I did not cry. You were just imagining things. Shut up Amma."

21. which oc is a lightweight? which oc carries them home?

Quartz would probably be pretty lightweight, though I don't think she'd really drink all that much. Her and Ubi would be the designated drivers most of the time, so they end up having to deal with Amma and Yra drunk.

22. which oc likes to read to their partner? which oc prefers being read to?

I can imagine Quartz reading to her partner (or her sister, Amma.) I also think Amma would like reading to people, considering she is an actress. Yra would enjoy getting ready to (though he'd definitely deny it if Amma tries to bring it up lol)

24. which oc hates the taste of water?

Ubi. Don't really have much else to say lol

28. which oc would start a podcast? what would it be about?

Lapiz would try to start a podcast about technology and stuff like that! Not sure how well it would go, but they would try!

30. which oc dresses the best? the worst?

Amma, definitely. But Ubi, and I mean this in the most loving way possible, would be the type of guy to wear shorts when it's snowing.

Ubi and Lapiz. They try to convince Yra, but it thinks they're just being silly (he does actually get scared from one of their stories, but they'd never admit it)

Ubi. And he has a very Tumblr-y vocab (scrunkly, horse plinko, eeby deeby, stuff like that. No one knows what he's talking about. Lapiz starts to pick up on these speech habits, much to everyone's dismay)

Quartz, though Amma is a very close second.

38. drop a fun fact about your oc!

Well, the name Amma actually comes from a conversation I had with my older sibling where we were talking about names that are palindromes, and I came up with Amma, which they insisted was not a name. Also, Yra comes from the Latin word for anger, ira! And Ubi comes from Latin too! It means "where," and it's actually a nickname given to him by Lapiz, because he sucks with directions. Lapiz is the only one who knows his birth name.

40. if all your ocs were to get into a giant, mcu style fight, who would win?

Either Amma or Yra. Probably Yra.

I was tagged by the ever lovely @priincebutt…I’m posting an excerpt from Love on the Menu, the first part of which I will be posting this Thursday! So keep your eyes peeled for that. This one contains a line I’m quite proud of. As I told PB, I got a little poetical.

It was for the best, Henry reasoned with himself at the time. Another thing Henry learned about working in restaurants was how dating a coworker could be a recipe for disaster. June and Nora appeared to be the exception, but there had been plenty of examples of servers sleeping with each other or someone from the back of house and it ending badly. Sure, it was fun to gossip and laugh about but not worth the drama for him personally. Thinking of Megan, a part of him worried that he was in a situation just like her. What if Alex was just flirting with him because he knew it paid to get in good with the host? Logically, Henry knew that wasn’t true. Alex was one of the most genuine people he had ever met. But when it came to matters of the heart, Henry’s mind defied all logic and reason. So he pined. He stored every wink, every touch, every term of endearment, away like gemstones to be pulled out in his lonely moments and admired as they glittered and shone bright.

First, the bachelors!

🛹Sam-a caramel frappuccino and a cake pop lol. He loves sugar.

🚬Sebastian-probably a cold brew or a shaken espresso. Loves a good cold coffee and a cigarette haha. (Drinks PSLs when they’re in season even though he constantly bags on them)

✍️Elliot- a London fog, two tea bags, extra hot. He’s very particular about it.

🏈Alex- a refresher or something. Doesn’t like coffee. He’d probably get a breakfast sandwich on the side for some extra protein!

🩺Harvey-probably a black coffee with a couple packets of sugar and cream. But he’d get one of the special brews. He wants to enjoy all the lil flavor notes!

🐥Shane- would be mad they don’t have Joja Cola. Goes to the 7-11 next door instead lol.

📓Penny- an iced chai tea! Maybe with some cold foam on top if she’s feeling adventurous.
