🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Oh, yes. This is THAT moment when one character is in danger and another one just is so lost in emotions and feelings. It works for me both in canon and in my writing. I think, that situations like these open up what REALLY a character feels and thinks because this is the question of life and death.

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

It's definitely "Bury Me in the Shadows of Spring" because the plot here is emotional damage ™. It's so dense with feelings, so sometimes when I reread my plot outline, I feel like my heart is broken.

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

I already answered it here, so I'm just referring to this answer :)

💖 What made you start writing?

Oh… I guess, my love for literature in general. I wrote some "original" stuff a long time ago when I was 11–15 years old, and I was really engaged in the process, of how the only power of words building the whole world! Then, I even wrote a whole "original" story when I was 18, it has like…~200k words? (I never published it and never will). It has two parallel plot-lines, one is the diary that describes the events of the past, and the second one is the present. Two lines collide when the "present" one finds the diary, and the mystery of their world becomes larger and larger, heh. The diary line due to some event has no stars and the "endless" night, so it has a lot of reference to the constellations and stars. It's actually called "Through the corridors of stars" (yeah, I love pathetic titles...) But after that, I didn't write anything. When I opened the world of fan fiction back in 2020, all these years I had a will to start writing again, but this time publish it. It took me 2,5 years to overcome the fear and the stupid uncertainty to start writing in English, so here I am!

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

Oh, always outline! Before starting BMSS I wrote a whole separate doc with each chapter and key events. Also, I marked some specific details for the chapter structure as Annie's chapters are colorful, it always has a lot of references to the art itself + the title of her chapters is the actual painting title, and the whole chapter in Annie's POV is built around this canvas. In Armin's we have a more lyrical, wordy style, he has more inner reflections. Their mutual POVs chapters have their titles mixed, and so are the styles of their narration :)

As for one-shot, it goes the same way. Key points, some key topics (as I like to choose a few leading topics and to look at them from different angles and POVs).

I always agree about Annie being the one who is struggling to show her feelings properly, but for the same reason, I find her the one who can be incredibly soft once she is certain nobody would hurt her. And also I feel like she is emotionally deprived, so once she learned not only to be the receiver of attention and affection, but also a giver…oh my, this girl will shower you with all these adorable things, but SMALL once, It's not big romantic dates, but mundane and ORDINARY things that, maybe, are even more precious.

😅 (What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists?)- God, um, I have this one x reader thing I wrote, and it was the very first piece of fanfiction I ever came up with. I wrote it in eighth grade (T-T). It wasn't super terrible and I didn't say "orbs" instead of eyes even once, I just kind of didn't know what I was doing. No planning took place, it was just a little forced, but I'm kind of proud of myself for just getting it out. It was an Armin/fem reader thing where they were going to a party dance thing and there was a confession. Kind of like a less evolved version of my recent masquerade fic, actually. I guess I enjoy writing dancing. I know I was young and everything but I'm so thankful that I hadn't figured out that I could actually post on fanfiction websites yet, I kept writing and thankfully (at least I believe/hope) that I got better. ✍ (Do you have a beta reader?)- I do not. I'm not against it or anything, I just don't. I do have this one friend that I send e v e r y t h i n g I write to though, albeit after it's published because she's not really an experienced writer (not that she's bad, just not the right person to ask for feedback). She's even read that dance fic I mentioned in the previous question.

🛒 (What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.)- Mutual pining is a big one for me 😭. Whether it's friends to lovers (which is what I mostly write), strangers to lovers, enemies, coworkers, etc. etc. there will always be mutual pining at some point. Even if one has had feelings for longer and I depict the growth of the other's feelings (which I find really interesting). Also- random- but I feel like hand holding/focus on hand touches is always a light thing I find myself wanting to incorporate. Not sure why.

🛠 (What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?)- I like to use google docs. It syncs to my phone too so I can write on the way to school or in public if I'm bored, stuff like that. Straight up writing in the tumblr drafts scares me, it's too easy to delete O.o. I oftentimes keep one doc for notes (if it's a longer fic) and write the fic separately. Fun fact though, when I started out, I was actually using the notes app on my phone. That didn't last long, but I still have my first few unpublished 8th grade fics on there.

💖 (What made you start writing?)- Okay so what made me REALIZE that I liked writing was my English classes in school. I've always been a bookworm- ever since I was a little kid- so it was amazing to me that I was able to create stories and show them to people in the same way real authors could. So middle school me loved doing creative writing assignments, I always went way over the wordcount, I loved reading books, etc. etc. Eventually I start getting into fandom, and through internet browsing, I come across fanfiction for the first time. I have to say, it kind of blew my mind. It's hard to explain that I never really stopped reading as much as I did in middle school and elementary school, I just read a lot more ~digital works by unpublished authors~ now (and I still do read books, I'm currently reading Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson and I love it). The rest I kind of already explained. I tried my hand at it for awhile in the notes app, eventually made an account, read, liked, etc., started posting, and the rest is history. :)

👀 (Tell me about an up and coming wip please!)- *Rubs hands together.* Okay, so: First of all, I'm ALMOST, almost I swear! I'm almost done with the next chapter for my ongoing fic. I'll probably post it sometime next weekend (I don't know if you follow it but there's that). I'm currently working on a Dazai oneshot with the pocky game (you know what that is, right?) And then someone sent me a jealous Chuuya request which I plan on completing after my other two wips since they won't take long.

🤗 (What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?)- EEEE! Okay okay!

Dear new writers, WE ARE SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU HERE. Please don't be shy! Reach out, interact, share your work (if you want to) and there will be people who say hello back! Remember, don't compare yourself to other writers. We all started at some point. We all had a first post, we all make mistakes, we're all human. On that note, don't beat yourself up about making it perfect! Getting out a first draft is a great first step. It can include notes, errors, run on sentences, and that's fine because it's a draft! You do not have to be perfect, none of us are. Do not feel bad about not having the time to write, or even if you do have the time but lack the energy. Take care of yourself first always! Remember to have confidence in yourself. You created something that wasn't there before and put it out into the world and it's a story and it's yours and that is amazing in every aspect. Don't give up on yourself, take care of yourself, be kind to yourself, and you will slowly but surely find your place in the writers' community! <3

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

LOL well I have been told that my slow burn was one of the most painful experiences (for the people who were actually waiting around for those chapters)—I was laughing a bit when I made them almost kiss like 3 times. I was cackling when Anakin tried to confess his feelings over and over and kept failing 😂 I have never tried to be MEAN, but sometimes I do like to play up the angst a bit 😈

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

As mentioned, ANGST. I love mutual pining (which is also in my lesser known Kanan fic). I love to bring back prequels scenes/locations/dialogue 🤭. I also love adding in as much Jedi mysticism as possible—which will be clear to anyone reading, I love the meditative stuff. I also am very open to any opportunity I have to make Anakin into the knight-in-shining-armor 😘

🎯 Have any of your readers accurately guessed major plot points? Care to share which?

Someone guessed that the reader character in MVS was going to impersonate a senator during the AOTC plot 😏 And a few people saw a certain major character death coming (no spoilers for those who haven’t gotten there yet) but that was intentionally foreshadowed, so, you guys are just good readers 🎉🙏

I'd say, yes-ish? I like to put a bit of angst in my fics, for instance (not much, but more than what I would like, so it's mainly a plot devise and to keep readers on their toes). the last fic I published has a bit more pining angst than usual, and my upcoming wip is a whole self-indulgent angst tale. but I wouldn't say I put too much effort into being mean to my readers, though! it just either comes with the flow of the plot or doesn't.

I'm a sucker for aus that still manage to explore the characters' complexities, their canon depths, their troubles and traumas and desires in general. so I try and keep true to *how I read* the characters, without straying into ooc. I also love mutual pining, describing wylan from jesper's pov because the lovesick man is completely gone for him, writing canon-ish happenings but rewritten into og forms / aus. I also mostly write romantic stuff, getting together fics, meet-cute or meet-ugly, and lately I've been throwing myself at fantasy stuff rather than modern aus (httyd au, witch wylan, angel/demon, fairy oak au, prince wylan au.. a sprinkle of magic to liven things up a little, even though they are harder to write than modern aus / canon compliant - post canon fics, and most of them will never see the light of day😅)

so! I've been having a major writer's block for the most of this summer, and lately I've been trying to get back to writing with either my crack wip "What size is your beautiful dick" based on this pic, or my witch wylan au, BUT what really got me going has been blind wylan au!

first thing first, I dreamt the whole of it so the plot is all but ready, but it's so self-indulgent that I was like... whatever! will not keep writing this! who would read it? but I love it so much that I can't not write it and not share it! it will be 4 chapters long (3 + epilogue), all different povs and based on the three stanzas to "soldier, poet, king". the name says the most of it: wylan has an accident and he loses his whole sight, à la jenna from pll, and his father orders him to never leave his home "because he is clumsy and needs to be protected" (à la 10 years old rapunzel who saw the beauty of life before being forced away from it in his tower), thus cutting his relationship with his only friend and crush (you guessed it) jesper.

"I'd like to see the swing by the lake," Inej says before she can change her mind.

"Sure," says Wylan. "I'm certain that Nina..."

"I don't want Nina to come with me. I… I want to see the swing and the lake and the hill your mum painted on and the fields you played with your friend and I want you to come with me."

Wylan's jaw locks and clenches so hard she swears she can hear his teeth clasp together from afar.

"I can't…"

"You can," she gently says. "I see you, Wylan, and there's no way in the world you can't. You are brave. And strong."

"I'm afraid."

"He is not here anymore," she tries.

"And nothing else is," Wylan snaps, tears welling at his wide, blue eyes, mouth open around labored breaths. "Not for me. No lake and no swing and no—" he bites his lip, but by now she knows what he means. Who he means.

😅I have a whole fic that I swiped out of my ao3 because I'm dead embarrassed about it, so I would say *everything* about it! but also in terms of wips, the bonus chapter I had written (and will never publish) to that fic, that is a whole pwp thingie and, as I found out, I'm so bad at writing pwp or nsfw in general because it makes me self conscious/ embarrassed. here's a tiny tiny bit of it:

"I want to paint you," Wylan softly muses, sometimes, and Jesper sits or lays still — well, not actually still still, but he tries — for as long as Wylan needs. Wylan usually sketches the shape, border, lines, or however they are called, and then he doesn't need Jesper to stay put until he has to work on colors and lighting and such. So, Jesper usually crawls between Wylan's legs, and he does his best to distract him from painting.

He never manages: Wylan keeps painting and he holds Jesper there, mouth slack and full with Wylan's unmoving cock.

Every time, he orders Jesper to go back to the sofa, or bed, or chair, and Jesper obliges, with heat pooling in his stomach and straining the skin of his own cock.

(Wylan makes sure to make love to him good and hard, after. You have been so good and so patient, you are beautiful. You are perfect, just for me, he whispers between pushes and kisses and moans, and Jesper thinks that that is worth all the wait he has to endure).

I am such a sucker for Not Actually Unrequited Love. I think in every single of my fics where they aren't already a couple, there's Mutual Pining going on and both of them are convinced that there's no way in hell the other feels the same about them.

Loneliness is also something I love to weave into my fics. Probably most prevalent in The Loneliest Number (Mature) or in Maybe We've Changed (Teen & Up) and Good Enough. (Funnily enough, all three of those also have this Not Actually Unrequited Love thing going on xD)

Sapienza is pretty much everywhere, too. If I can move a fic to somewhere in Sapienza, I probably will. I also have a soft spot for bars and hotels (and cheap motels), and for handover meetings where they pretend to be strangers. :D

OHHH I always love an unspoken mutual understanding. They don't talk about it because that would be too much to handle. It is so raw and it strips down people to the root of their issues/kind of heals them in a way. I love it.

This is probably due to my time writing supernatural and my love for the theme in general but I have a soft spot for faith & religious symbolism (or just faithful characters in general) it doesn't have to be God, it can be another character or a higher purpose:) and i have a good time writing themes of isolation, family horror, you know....cheerful stuff LMAO also i love killing off characters in shocking tragic ways. haha....

Sometimes I reread my favorite works to inspire myself, it's not necessarily the fics themselves but how excited I was writing it. or the comments on it. mainly, writing let's me live out every single "what if?" question I've ever asked and I'm glad I can help myself stop the nagging in my head, it's a good time if others enjoy it too.

I definitely enjoy writing fics that are part of the same universe. I love being able to incorporate relationships and plot points that have been established in other stories and can be explored in different ways.

In my Bradley & Mrs. Bradshaw stories, I always try to connect back to how strong their relationship is, no matter what the fic is about. Their marriage is built on a strong foundation of mutual love, trust, and understanding, so that’s something I’m always trying to explore. I also try to include nods to Goose and Carole whenever I can.

In my Hangman & Phoenix fics, I try very hard to capture their personalities that we saw in TGM. Just because I ship them romantically doesn’t mean I want them to lose the essence of who they are for the sake of a love story. Their interactions always include a lot of sass and sarcasm, but also a lot of affection and love.

🧐 Do you spend much time researching for your stories? (There wasn’t a question with the 🤨 emoji, so I was guessing you meant this one!)

It kind of depends on the story! I always want my fics to be as realistic as possible, so I will definitely research things when necessary. I’ve been doing a lot of research about pregnancy and childbirth lately for my Bradley & Mrs. Bradshaw fics 😂

I’ll also research places and terminologies if they’re unfamiliar to me and important to the plot of a story I’m writing.

I’m terrible at picking favorites, but here’s a random little fun fact that I realized:

uhhh. i write almost exclusively like mutual pining get together fics lmao but in terms of like imagery and themes and etc i love integrating like. lighting imagery? being clear about what the light and the ambiance of the settings is when i can and playing with fun color lighting when it's applicable (lamps, neon, sunrise/sets, storms, streetlamps, etcetc) i also dig the classic cheesy flower symbolism when it's fun and applicable (cough cough hanahaki aus ksfjvnsf)

additionally, in terms of feels i got called out a while back by my dear friend @precalamity in this ask here basically put into perfect words the recurring emotional vibe i write (intentionally or otherwise ksjfvn)

my slasher fic, if i only could make a deal with god (i'd get him to swap our places), for sure without a doubt skjvnfskv i was possessed by something and wrote like 90% of it in one sitting in the middle of the night on mother's day last year and was up til like 4am consumed by writing this insane thing that was so wildly like unlike anything id ever written or tried to write before sfkjvnksjf and to this day its one of my favorite things ive written and what i think is one of my strongest pieces to date

🛒What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

Hmm, imagery is a pretty big one for me. One of my dear friends called my writing "cinematic," and it's always kind of stuck with me. I have such a clear picture in my head when I write, and I want my readers to see as much as it as possbile without being overbearing.

My favorite type of fics to write are along the hurt/comfort line. The wonderful thing about good angst is that it makes the sweeter moments all the more special. I'm also fond of AUs, but I have to be in the right mood to write one :)

🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?

I do! In fact, music inspires a lot of fic ideas for me! I often listen to soundtracks when I write, and the one that's been on repeat lately is the soundtrack to A Series of Unfortunate Events with Thomas Newman as the composer. Some of my favorites on that track are The Baudelaire Orphans and The Letter That Never Came.

🌞 Do you have a preferred time of day to write?

Ahh, my schedule is so crazy that I often just write whenever I can find the time to squeeze it in. I have more time in the summers, but that's a teacher's life for ya. Although I will say my favorite times to write is when it's raining outside. Nothing calms down my mind more than hearing the rain pattering against my desk window.

💖 What made you start writing?

Hmm, I wrote some fanfiction when I was 13, but it was mostly because I loved to read. Even now, I find the best way to get over my writer's block is to pick up one of my favorite books. I like analyzing how different authors write, with their prose and characterization and imagery. In fact, All the Things We Cannot Say happened because I read the Great Gatsby for the first time in years, and I found the writing style to be so beautiful that I wanted to try my own hand at it.

💌 How do you feel about comments and feedback?

I love them! Nothing brightens my day than to see that someone not only read my little old fic, but left their own thoughts on it! And for someone to quote their favorite lines from the fic? Boom, instant friend. Of course, I'm very lucky as the comments I've gotten have all been very kind, but I'm certainly not opposed to feedback. That being said, a lot of that happens in the editing stage, where I have some mutual friends who can give me some good honest feedback.

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics?

Oh definitely the grumpy and sunshine trope. I love it so much - literally there's a smidge of it in all my fics lmao. I also enjoy the mutual pining and oblivious idiots in love! I definitely love also scenes where character thinks y/n is in love with someone else -misunderstanding. A dash of fake dating is always nice then growing real feelings.

💋 First kiss fics. Love em or hate em?

omg - please - I love them so much - they're so cute! So good! I melt so badly!

🍦 What's the sweetest fic you've created so far?

lmao - one moment let me check my masterlist XD hmm - now that could be either The Rose Bush (Erestor x wife reader) or even Sing to Me (Maglor x Wife reader, ft. little Elrond and Elros).

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

I don't really know - am not a huge fan on love triangle even though I do watch kdramas lmao so idk I won't be writing those, maybe misc? One day? Idk.  One of the most common things am uncomfortable with is them the main love interest is protective of the lover - overly to the point of being physically violent towards anyone who slights their lover. Yes, some bit of protectiveness endearing - I agree and there's nothing wrong with that! I might there's no need to over the top do it ! ! It's not a trope - but I will never be writing anything to do with pregnancy or miscarriages - it's too much of trigger for me and too close to home. I stay away from those type of fics too.

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

Both my main fics, Forward and Charming and Dangerous, feature found family pretty heavily (or Forward will lol, as its barely published currently). It’s one of my favourite tropes/themes and I look for it a lot in traditional fiction too. Especially in the context of like a gang of criminals or people with powers. 

I’m also often writing about (best) friends to lovers also evident in the above fics. Potentially unpopular opinion but I like best friends to lovers more than enemies to lovers. Enemies to lovers is good don’t get me wrong, but I’m just drawn to the concept of two people who already care about each other and know each other so so well mutually pining after each other and battling between not wanting to ruin the friendship but also having wanted to kiss the other person for like three years and ahhhhh

Oh and both my main fics feature queer woman in M/F relationships - probably because thats me irl

🎃 Do you write fics for certain holidays? Which is your favorite holiday inspired fic?

I mostly write long multi chapter fics rather than oneshots/short ones, so I don’t really have any dedicated holiday fics. However, I have in the works a holiday chapter for one of my longfics (Charming and Dangerous!) that’s focused around Christmas. It’s gonna be lots of fun and I’m very excited for it. 

💞Who's your comfort character?

Of the characters I’ve written about it is a tie between Zoom Takazumi and Lance Alvers! 

Zoom is a big nostalgia one for me, he was my favourite when I was younger. I love how sassy he is and the writer in me loves how he’s like “I hate authority you can’t tell me what to do” but also “please respect me authority figure and also think I’m cool” cuz thats such an interesting thing to explore y’know? He deserves the world honestly. 

When I first watched Xmen evo I was drawn more to the brotherhood than the xmen team and honestly Lance is a big chunk of the reason why. He’s a cynical edgy teenager but he has a heart of gold and he wants to be a hero and he has so much love in his heart. I love his dumb mullet and the dumb faces he makes when he uses his powers and his dumb homoerotic rivalry with Scott. 10/10 character

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

I feel like I write a lot of pining (at least in my multi-chapter fics) so that moment when they FINALLY get together has me all up in my feels each time, it's like YES, they made it, everything is right now 🥺 (even tho I'm the one torturing them by keeping them apart lol) Also I feel like the smut I've written for Eddie has a lot of laughter and giggly moments between him and the reader and I'm always like 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc. For Eddie specifically it's been descriptions about how music feels in the body, or describing a song to set the mood; for feels I suppose I can't have my romance without a lot of angst, and for themes, mutual pining, spooky settings, movie references, but a recurrent theme is definitely loneliness/lonely characters finding each other.
