since you and i share in the collective madness of watching cobra kai, i simply have to share that i think the second sam and tory stop being dicks to each other, they go to the beach and get caught up in a game of ultimate and it becomes uncomfortably competitive after about thirty seconds. it's like top gun volleyball only they're actually getting hurt and no one is having a good time. afterwards they make pink lemonade. both these things in this single day define who they are for the rest of their silly lives.

🌿 ⇢ give some advice on writer's block and low creativity

oh man okay i guess my best advice would be if you feel stuck stop trying to figure stuff out? there's a lot about writing that makes you feel like you're in mud and it's just getting thicker. sometimes you just gotta be artax and sink into the swamp. then remind yourself you're a person not a thing with fingers that types. go on a walk or make some cookies. pick something else you have the energy to write and write that instead.

unless you're a professional writer who has a for real deadline (which i am not lol), there's no use to opening up a draft and being disappointed in yourself. if a story isn't working for you, close it. if a scene is feeling impossible to get through, skip to the next page and start writing the next one. eventually you'll be able to figure out why those things aren't working but in the meantime, be creative in a different way. even just doing the dishes, reorganizing your bedroom, putting your hair in braids, or watching a movie can make everything feel not like mud.

when i first got into reading fanfiction, i was consuming So Much of it that i eventually thought i should write something to give back to the community, and i just never stopped 😂
