following behind jake who opened the front door to head into this unfamiliar house, you were about to meet his family for the first time.

earlier, your heart felt like it was beating so violently, it could race out of your chest. you thought that stepping into his family’s house might soothe those nerves at least a little, but oh how you were wrong.

“hey,” jake said loudly, his voice filling the house, “we’re here!”

walking closer and closer to meet his family, your body shook with nervousness that overpowered the excitement you had.

jake held your hand, guiding you and reassuring you with a smile that you had nothing to be afraid of; he knew they were going to love you anyway.

within moments, his dad, mom and older brother came into view.

“you guys are here!” his mom smiled with joy.

“we were waiting for you,” his dad said lightheartedly, facing jake.

“hi,” his older brother greeted you both warmly.

“oh, yes—mom, dad, hyung, this is y/n,” jake introduced you with a proud grin, “and, y/n, this is my family.”

“it’s really nice to finally meet you all,” you said with a smile.

“and we’ve been very excited to meet you, y/n,” his mom said happily to which the other two nodded in agreement.

“and thank you for having me over and for hosting,” you quickly continued.

“oh, no worries, it’s our pleasure,” jake’s dad replied. “we’re sorry we couldn’t have you over sooner.”

“no, no, why are you apologizing?” you said politely with a slight laugh, “i’m partially at fault here too. it was hard to find a day that worked for us all.”

as you talked with his family, jake watched you with adoration. he knew how nervous you had been, and so seeing you relax and grow comfortable so quickly in the presence of his family made him beyond happy. having his favourite, most important people in his life finally get together had his heart swell with gratitude, joy and excitement that it became hard to contain the overwhelming emotions.

eventually, the conversation evolved, and it was just you and his mom talking, meanwhile, the three men were off helping set up for dinner or having their own conversation.

while that was going on, jake was watching you talk with his mom, and those same feelings came back in his chest—warm, proud and happy.

after a few minutes, he walked up to you both, nudging you lightly as a playful gesture but also to let you know he was there. you looked at him and smiled.

“sorry to interrupt,” he started, “but, mom, what’s happening with dinner?”

“oh, right! thanks for reminding me! i almost forgot,” she laughed, “yes, i suppose i should get back to that. y/n, let’s definitely finish this conversation after.”

you returned her bright smile and nodded, just as interested in what you two were talking about as she was.

“in the meantime, want help with anything?” you offered.

jake’s mom took a brief look around at everything and answered, “no, it should be fine. i just have to finish cooking a few things, which only requires one person. thank you so much for offering though, y/n.”

you smiled and nodded.

“you guys can go and just do your own thing for now. dinner should be ready in a few minutes.”

and so with that, jake placed his hand on the lower part of your back and began excitedly guiding you outside to the backyard.

“oh, this is nice,” you commented, entering the grassy area before he led you to a small bench they had.

you two sat down, and he turned his head, looking at you with a loving smile.

“what’s that look for?” you asked him.

“nothing,” he answered, continuing to look at you adoringly. “i’m just really happy right now. you’re getting along so well with them.”

you smiled before he continued, “how are you feeling now? still nervous?”

“no, not really,” you said. “your family is so nice.”

“yeah, it looks like you were enjoying yourself,” he said, happy. “i’m really glad.”

your eyes remained on his, and you just smiled.

“hey, guys,” jake’s brother’s voice joined. “dinner’s ready.”

your boyfriend nodded and told him that you two were coming, and his brother’s head popped back inside.

jake turned back to you, opening his mouth, “i’m really happy you like them. they like you a lot too. i’m really proud of you.”

before you could respond, jake’s lips were on yours in a short peck.

he pulled back, snaking his hand into yours and intertwining your fingers before standing up, pulling you with him, and heading back inside, marking the beginning of a very special and joy-filled day.

I think for writing simpatico specifically the solution to the science problem is to have brainstorm say some bullshit that you know doesn't make any sense and have preceptor be like that doesn't make any sense. and then brainstorm is like "don't worry about it c:"

13.04.2023 - Day 36/42

Our office is moving because the gvt is demolishing our current building, and my colleague packed and sent over my stuff at the office. Pictured is almost 4 years of meeting notes, to do lists and braindumps 💭 I also had a super productive day wrapping up my tasks because I'm going to be utilising my sick leaves from the medical certificate I got from the doctor for the remaining days of my cast :)

Ramadan Day 22/30: What is something you always miss about Ramadan when it’s over? / What do you think you might miss this year?

Definitely the "spirit" of Ramadan, that feeling that motivates all of us to strive to do our best in terms of worship and also in terms of our character this month. The way you gravitate towards good deeds and to better your akhlaq, it's truly special during Ramadan and in sha Allah, it lasts with us after Ramadan too. And also, the way there's more focus on family and community as well.

As for this Ramadan, it's a different one indeed and selfishly speaking, I think I might miss being exempted from kitchen duties when I have to do it next year 😂 Also will definitely miss all this extra time and freedom I got for worship as well as leisure 🤍

¿Conoces Carnelian Blood? Si es así, ¿qué opinas de Carnelian? Se dice que él es una calamidad profetizada, alguien que va a cambiar "el equilibrio de la oscuridad", ¿pero qué crees que eso signifique? Además él necesita la luna roja para algo, y la verdad sigo pensando que podría tratarse de algún sacrificio, (cómo sacrificar a Yui).

No quiero hablar en profundidad al respecto porque realmente no tengo ni la menor idea hacia dónde va a ir Rejet con esto. Pero, tengo algunas teorías.

Estas son únicamente teorías basadas en mi manera particular de entender tanto a la franquicia de Diabolik lovers como al contenido que ha salido hasta el momento de Carnelian blood.

Personalmente creo que el final de Young Blood ocurre en la misma línea de tiempo en la que los Erosion van a Kaminashi. Lo que Karlheinz hace con los Sakamaki de niños ocurre, bajo esta premisa, porque nuevamente ha vuelto el tiempo atrás.

Verán:

Suponiendo que la prueba realizada por Sócrates en Chaos Lineage no salió de la manera en la que esperaban, Karlheinz tendría entonces que hacer otra prueba, una que le permitiera saber a ciencia cierta (antes de poner nuevamente en marcha su plan) cuál de sus hijos está más capacitado para ser Adán (recuerden que en Dark Fate se establece el término “destino oscuro”, un destino inalterable que todo ser del Mundo demoníaco posee por defecto desde su nacimiento).

Acorde a lo que he expuesto con anterioridad, Karlheinz trata de crear un destino en donde su plan sea un hecho inevitable. Por eso la higuera. No solo se trata de una prueba para ver quién es el más apto para convertirse en Adán en un futuro, es Karl tratando de crear ese destino. Y habiendo sido Ayato, no es sorpresa que él sea quien, al final de Young Blood, se encuentra con Yui por casualidad.

Porque no es casualidad, es destino.

En resumen:

Considero todo esto como un reinicio del plan de Karlheinz, un reinicio en donde Carnelian es creado porque se convertirá en una de las piezas fundamentales de su jugada.

¿Por qué? No lo sé. Pero Karl está detrás tanto de su creación como de su transformación, y probablemente todo lo que Carnelian haya hecho como consecuencia de su transformación sea (directa o indirectamente) impulsado por el mismísimo Karlheinz.

¿Cuál es el papel de los chicos de Erosion en esto? No lo sé, pero hay un hecho a destacar, y es que cada uno de ellos pertenece a un clan diferente, además de que parecen haber sido quirúrgicamente alterados.

Otro dato destacable es que Carnelian parece tener una genética particular (una mutación). Esto puede verse en sus hijas, que nacieron con seis dedos. Quizás esta sea otra de las razones por la que Karlheinz lo necesita (y tal vez sea la razón del nombre de la franquicia “Carnelian blood” —que puede traducirse como “Sangre de Carnelian”—).

Si me lo preguntan diría que sí, tanto los Sakamaki como los miembros de Erosion van a toparse en algún momento; no por nada ambas tramas siguen transcurriendo en Kaminashi y en la Academia Ryoutei.

De ser así, este sería un proyecto bastante ambicioso, por lo cual, que se tomen su tiempo en crear contenido es buena señal, porque significaría que están haciendo algo realmente interesante e intrincado.
