I'm curious how you'd imagine a self-care day would go for the ghouls? I don't even know how you headcanon them. Like do they have some kind of fur for you? Or are they like humans but with greyish skin colour? I like to imagine they were introduced to a monthly self-care day by Copia. And they're all sitting around in a circle wearing face masks and having a good time. It sounds cute and adorable though I don't know how long peace would last with all of them.

Sorry I'm rambling I'm dead on my feet and I probably should call it an early night and I found I write best when I am not at my best since my brain does actually shut up whenever I'm trying to write down one of my many fan fic ideas.

So to me, I see the ghouls with skin and maybe a nice soft layer of peach fuzz.

I love that Copia introduces them to self-care day!! I think in my mind they have their own little groups that do their own versions of self-care. It's different for everyone, you know?

I think that Cumulus, Aurora, Swiss, and Rain totally have Treat Yo Self Day, like in Parks and Rec if you've seen that. Whatever they feel like doing is what's gonna happen, whether that's an actual spa day, going shopping for whatever strikes their fancy, or just hanging out in PJs having snacks and wine and gossiping.

Mountain would go soak in this hotspring he knows about in the mountains near the abbey. I think he picks and chooses who he invites to join him based on the vibes of the day. Otherwise he'll join the girls for wine and snacks and just read his book with his head in someone's lap and just enjoy being around everyone.

Aether and Cirrus will go do museum tours. They enjoy learning and seeing new things and the quiet is very welcome.

Dew and Sunny take Phantom to this abandoned rock quarry where they'll have the time of their lives hurling fireballs at the stone cliffs. Once they're tired, they go find Mountain and crash his hot springs time.

I think I'm faintly aware of the fic you're talking about, I may have read it a while ago. It's a neat trope for sure, though I don't think I'd make it my headcanon for all my writings with the twins, but for some for sure.

As for the food thing, I can't speak for other Latinos, but no it's not a thing in my family. Latinos includes a large variety of countries and cultures, so there may be a few that follow such a rule, I'm pretty sure it's more of a family thing than anything. If the story managed to miraculously stay the exact same story with the only difference being Katsuki is a girl (coz let’s face it, he was the princess being abducted by LOV and held so protectively by Izuku in the Vol 37 cover), then yes. Everyone would be bkdk and all other ships would seem delusional, the way Izuochas/other fans think we are. It’s just ‘cause it’s happening between two guys that people stop caring about the moments that develop or hint at their romance. And this is something Hori wants to change.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed this but Hori represents BkDk in a super wholesome way without many traces of sexual desire. Because he wanted shounen readers to see their love as something real and beautiful, and not being made just for the sake of BL or fetish.

Though tbf, he has occasionally depicted Kacchan as ikemen, maybe to help us imagine Izuku’s struggle to hold back his feelings for him.

Kacchan is gorgeous, and yet his combative personality has scared away girls his whole life. And here we have Izuku always having accepted him for who he is and never distancing himself from him despite the many attempts by Kacchan to reject and send him away!

But anyway, Hori focussed so heavily on the emotions they feel towards each other because he wants readers to look at pure romantic love between a boy and another boy and understand it has no difference whatsoever with the love between a girl and a boy.

This also might be another reason why baby Decchan memories come up sometimes with Kacchan’s POV, or why Noguchi drew so many pictures of their childhood.

Because Katsuki and Izuku seem to be each other’s first love, and while feelings grew rotten for a while, the deep love they have for each other now comes from an incredibly sweet and pure origin.

How Hori is gonna pull this off really has my interest now because he has written bkdk so beautifully up until this point, so I have high expectations for his future plans to bring them together.

Update: I just wanted to add that my heart is so full right now from the KiriMina/BkDk parallels in ch.383. Canon BkDk really is coming right at us and it feels like Hori is going to bombard doubters with reminders of their love until they practically beg Hori to end their misery, and just draw what he has been waiting to draw for so many years, lol. 😊
