Your first day off in weeks, and it's because of a freak storm with neon green lightning? Thus banishing you indoors, with roughly two thousand coworkers and seven thousand guests? Unable to soak in some sun and breathe in the fresh saltwater air? You wanna make a noise of complaint, but which one... Bah, humbug?

You know what, sure! Bah humbug to the weather, and bah humbug to all the noise it's created while you're at it! All of the cracking and chattering is going to drive you insane. You need an escape from all of this, but you don't want to go hide away in the tiny, cramped cabin you've gotten. Which is exactly why you headed to the ship's mostly-neglected library. A place that would've been replaced long ago if it weren't for Mister Ashengrotto's idea to create crewmen-only library cards.

So, after a quick trip to your cabin for more comfortable clothes, you headed straight there. And, just as you hoped, it was mostly empty. With only a few coworkers, and even fewer guests. One of whom you instantly recognized, what with all of his days sitting at your bar. He even had the same worried expression etched onto his face! What was his name again..? Oh, right! Lucifer!

Rolling your eyes, you find and grab a book from the nearby section; the mystery section. You then found a seat, around two tables in front of your raven-haired regular. A few minutes of relative silence passes, and you became engrossed in your chosen story. But just after the dective found the first body, the silence was broken.

"You're Mammon's coworker, correct?"

Looking up, you lock eyes with Lucifer. His worried expression from earlier had hardened.

"Yeah... Why do you ask?" You ask, eyebrows knitting in confusion.

"I just wanted to inform you that Mammon has a bad habit of attempting to steal things."

"'Attempting'? So he hasn't actually succeeded?"

"Not for a few hundred years, no."

"Why haven't you tried telling me this before?"

"I didn't want him to get upset and cause a scene. If he had, my brothers and I's vacation would have been ruined." Lucifer explained. You had to hand it to him, he's been very forthcoming with the information. But that last sentence of his confused you greatly.

"So- wait-" Book in hand, with a finger acting as a bookmark, you stood from your seat and walked over to the demon. You only continued talking after you claimed the seat in front of him. "How do you know Mammon, exactly?"

"Why are you asking?" Lucifer questioned, suspicion painted on his face.

"Because I've been working with him for some months now, and nothing's happened. No missing money, utensils, anything!"

"He hasn't even stolen food?" Lucifer asked. Something about the way he said it made him seem smug. Like he knew you couldn't prove him wrong.

"Crewmen don't have to pay for food," You stated. Lucifer's reaction was flat like your voice, disappointing you slightly. Mentally, you rolled your eyes, before thinking over your next words carefully. Thankfully, they came to you a few seconds later. "Look, I know you have good intentions; but you don't have to worry about Mammon ruining your vacation. You're doing that on your own, with that watchdog-schtick-thing."

"And how would you know?" Lucifer asked, raising an eyebrow as he lightly emphasized 'how'.

"Because you've had this worried expression this entire week- up until this conversation started, of course." You said, pointing to his upper face.

"You could see that?"

"Dude, I was an actual bartender before getting this job. I can recognize a lightweight just from seeing them walk. And that includes the alcoholic ones!" You boasted, and for the first time in the entire week you've known him, Lucifer smiled.

"Mammon's my younger brother," Lucifer admitted, his words surprising you. "He's been cursed with eternal greed, and unfortunately, it's gotten him into severe debt with numerous people."

"I'll keep an eye out, then." You swore with a nod. "And, if it's any constellation, he makes over five hundred bucks a week. And, from what he's said, he's signed an eight-month contract with the Crux..."

"So he'll be over sixteen-thousand dollars closer to fixing his own problems." Lucifer finished.

IF Development Update (it is a silly goofy world and i must obey its rules) (7/6/23)

So you know that outline I told y'all about...

It's looking very "fuck it, we ball" for Contra Spem Spiro now that I've started writing. I cannot be contained I fear, not even in my own mind..

On another note, I've decided to affectionately call the main group of alien invasion survivors:

The Lonely Loser Survivor's Club.

did C come up with the name? Yes.

In a world where their phones were working and all of them were in a groupchat, C would make this the groupchat name, make the icon a spongebob meme, and be immediately kicked out by V.

C gets added back to the groupchat by A, only because C called A immediately after getting kicked out the chat and whined to A about "make V be nice to me! I'm a fucking delight! I was a pleasure to have in class!"

A is the one that sends music links everyday and they actually have playlist compiled with songs that remind them of their close friends (and MC gets their own, super special playlist, if A is being romanced)

C sends Tik Toks, of course. And Buzzfeed Tasty videos.

X picks fights with Siri. X also discovers emojis and sends at least 5 with every text they send. They don't fit with the tone of the texts either.

X: "Hit a pedestrian with my spaceship today. 🤣🥳🧌🩴🗿"

A: "you hit a who with your what?"

X: This is not a verbal conversation, A. You can reread my message to clarify your confusion. 🧋🪚💯"

This was a surprise for everyone, but Z is the person with the best memes. The comedic timing, the quality of the memes, the way they can convey so much with one gif...their talent should be studied.

Z is also the only person who won't get blocked on sight by V for spamming the groupchat with messages. (Not that Z would ever do that, but V has to let everyone else know that they're on thin ice just by existing)

Okay that's enough of me indulging in an AU where they get to have "normal" lives with things like cell service *wistful sigh*

I've done more work on character developments, alien lore, and i've gotten about 500 words of the prologue on paper (hoping to get to 1000 by the end of the night, but again, we ball and I'm going with the flow.)

Hello! I'm Wolf. I like writing fanfic, and I used to write some X Reader's about a year or so ago, but I fell out of the scene due to mental health problems. I've recently come back to it, but I'm super insecure now, and I get really stressed about writing for others (I tried doing a request thing on Quotev but I kept making myself too sick to actually do it). I also have creativity problems.

My solution to all of this? Easy:

So, you started looking. And pretty quickly, you found a new position opening for your favorite cruise line: The Crux! The position? Working as a bartender for a shop that only serves ice cream! Instantly, you made a resume for it and put it in. And a few days later, the Manager contacted you, and offered you a four-month contract that would get you $7,200. That's $1,800 per month. Which is $450 a day. Meaning you make $90 an hour!

Upon getting the job, your boss sent you a description of your uniform, their shop's menu, and a plane ticket to the Crux's next wet dock location. Which wouldn't be happening for another month... Some Additional Rules/Explanations:

I couldn't decide what I was gonna do with the toppings, so I'm making them wild cards. Most of the toppings are related to something previously stated on the list (ex. strawberry syrup has a romance element while Oreos have a rivalry), but some (whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles) are for me to decide. Also, having 3 of one topping doesn't do anything.

You can only choose up to three different characters for your fic! They can be from any one of the fandoms; so you can have a 'Mammon X Grim X Aether X Reader' fic if you want to!

I can refuse/change part of a order/request if I want to. But I'll only do so if I've already written a similar version of the order/request!

Finally oders/requests for the event close on July 16th at Midnight EDT!

Anyways, man seeing Floyd being the voice of reason is refreshing. I mean I agree with Floyd on telling Azul about the time travel situation. I mean telling Riddle about the timetravel before his overblot wouldn't help since he seems to rather consider himself right instead of listening to others which is why Cater made the right move but a risky one. Whereas Leona's overblot could have been avoided if Ruggie knows about it. Leona knowing did well albeit that it made him more depressed about his situation add the fact of the assassination incident. If Ruggie have known about this, then he would have understand and wouldn't pursue on the plan behind Leona's fact.

So in a way. If they have told Azul about the time travel situation before he felt betrayed by them, then he could have avoided the study guide scam. Azul is understanding about it more than Riddle in pre-overblot, which is there biggest mistake on not telling them. But given the situation right now, I think it is too late rather they tell him or not because Azul is already unhinged and thinks he is in the right.

Also love the Riddle and Floyd tidbits, something they have in mind together and how Riddle kiss him. Sometimes I like Floyd calling him Riddle in actual serious moments like before his overblot and right now. It's too bad that Floyd has no choice but to obey Azul rather he likes it or not. I'm sure Riddle would have understand Floyd's situation but I guess it will be awhile for them to be in a happy relationship until the djiin and time travel situation is over.

Also love how Malleus threathen Floyd and extension, Jade. Malleus truly cares about Yuu and if everyone mess with him, they will be dead. Floyd knows pissing him off is a death sentence ad he knows it after forcing to be obey Azul which doesn't end for the twins.

Seeing Jade being the unreasonable one here is refreshing too. Like he's thinking emotions over logic right now and how Azul psychological attacks him by tricking him into unknowingly hand them the contracts. Man we wouldn't be seeing his fake smile for awhile.

I guess they are aware of Jamil's UM, man they didn't know that he is involved in the poison plot.

And Azul being spied by the first years, I mean he is creep out but kinda deserve a bit. Love Sebek joining in the stalking of Azul. Seems the first years still didn't forgive the idiot trio, even Azul agrees on Sebek calling them morons.

Nice to see Idia more involved in chapter 3, hope that is way to have Ortho involved. Man Idia fearing to be the next Ace Trappola is gonna bite in the ass given chapter 6 and knowing the tweels...yep.

Azul seeing the tweels bullying Ace has gone too far even by his standards. Ace really suffers alot that it makes some of those who are real sadist sympathize to him even more. I'm happy that Ace call him out as he is same as them which hit Azul hard.

And I figure that Azul is the victim, I mean him taking on his life make sense and I didn't ask to avoid suspicious.

Next chapter will be a droopy. I can picture Jack and Deuce attacking the tweels for hurting Ace this badly that they wouldn't mind resorting to violence. Kalim and Riddle realize that Tweels are obeying Azul will make their relationship between them hard and I'm sure Malleus wouldn't hesitate to turn them into fry eels. Since Yuu is determine to make the deal, I'm guessing he is staying Savanaclaw.

I'm guessing the reason the twins have to obey is the possibilities of being framed on an attempted murder and their fear of losing their friend, which is why they have no choice but to let it be. They might be thinking that letting him overblot is better than him dying.

I can tell that Kalim will find out about Jamil and if he knows about the poison plot, then he might suspect Jamil being part of it since he knows poison than anyone.
