They could at least have looked at fanart though, considering twn isn't animation it'd make more sense... for merch of jaskier... to look at least a bit like any fanartist that likes jaskier draws him?? I only knew it was him bc of the lyrics otherwise it wouldn't even have pinged as a witcher mug

YEAH it is a bit.... weird?? I think that it's weird specifically for me when I look at the official merch art because how much fan art has impacted my own internal representation of the characters? When I'm writing, I'll often find that they appear in my head the same way they do in fan art, depending on whose art I've been looking at most recently (I am interested to know if anyone else does this...)

Ngl, I'm not a fan of the style used on either mugs (the one with all three of them has a super cute Yen, but Geralt and Jask are Not For Me), and I feel like this sorta thing is where Actual Fans would make something better - but I assume there may be some kinda legal issue about hiring fanartists??
