Hello hello! I read your tidbits for plant ww au and if you don't mind me asking, how come ww is no longer able to verbally communicate? Did dying and reviving take away some of his physical capabilities? Or is that simply a consequence of becoming half plant? 🤔 ww being alive is all that matters but I'm so curious!

hello!! at the time, i think i made it that way because of him becoming half plant-ish? admittedly, i didn’t give the logistics too much thought but he doesn’t make a lot of sounds and doesn’t speak, like dependent plants. it Probably means that something physically has been affected, but i haven’t researched enough into what i want that to be :’] i also think since he woke up again, he hasn’t felt the particular urge to communicate verbally/found viable enough solutions to make do. he isn’t able to communicate with plants either in the shared consciousness way.

if i go deeper into this au, i might change more things around… i’ve already started adjusting what capabilities he should have as being a revived guy from a little less than half of vash’s power + love. ashamed to say i haven’t given too much thought into plants hcs and full capabilities either!! i always forget what they’re capable of in canon ;;

3) What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?

Oh goodness, I could talk ad nauseam about my unwritten fic ideas, but I’ll stick with just one per request.

So, unwritten is probably a stretch given that my current draft is sitting at ~1600 words, but I really want to finally finish my office/coworkers au! I talked about it at some point in the near-distant past, but basically it’s a strangers-to-lovers fic where Davey is a Very Tired HR associate and Jack is the artist in the Graphic Design and Marketing department that keeps calling him through the inter-office phone line because he’s bored.

I imagine it taking place from Davey’s pov, and Jack and Davey would spend almost the entirety of the fic talking to each other on the phone and wouldn’t meet face to face until the very last scene. They’re both stupid for each other but won’t admit it, as they both feel ridiculous about having a crush on someone they’ve never even seen, and there’d be tons of flirting and shenanigans.

9) What’s your favorite line(s) or scene(s) that you have written?

Definitely some recency bias here, but I’m going to go with the first kiss in the cheerleading fic and this section from how ‘bout you tell me what you really think:

“You heard me,” Jack insists. He points an accusing finger in Davey’s direction, just for good measure. “I need you to keep that shit on lock for at least the next forty-eight hours, okay? I literally cannot think straight with you sitting there looking like that, and if I don't pass this final I’m gonna have to retake the whole class next semester.”

12) Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I try very hard to respond to all my comments! My ability to stay on top of them definitely varies based on how busy/tired I am but I make a sincere effort, so sorry if it takes a while for me to get back to people!

(I sometimes struggle to find good ways to respond, so if you ever get worried about being weird or awkward when leaving a comment, know that authors go through the same thing when trying to answer 😅)

the first thing that came to me when i read this was that line in gaston from beauty and the beast which goes: lefou, i'm afraid i've been thinking, a dangerous pastime, I know rip luca definitely would be very ansty ( if he's thinking hard, it must be serious ) and so his eyebrows furrow together and his thoughts would show on his expression. his hands as always would be rather anxious and you would find him playing absentmindedly: fiddling with jewelry or his clothes if not somebody else's fingers if he was not alone !!

27. what do their hair care products smell like?

you know luca has got a curly girl hair method LOL i think he would like a lot of citrus and vanilla smells. he enjoys stuff that smells very fresh and clean.

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

The back and forth about Izzy as if he matters 💀 this isn't izzy hate, hear me out

when I watched the show for the first time, I came out of it not really thinking *anything* tangible about him. I took him as just another antagonist - a badminton or a CJ or any one of those fuckers, but largely, just not someone I'd ever spend hours thinking about in general lol? He was a mean antagonist played up for laughs to me but a side character 100% who doesn't really have enough meat to him to actually deserve the million dollar discussions and fights and 💾 🐎 we spend on him ✌️

Don't get me wrong, I 100% understand why people do it, but I also think that both the people who hate him and love him (for a variety of reasons) tend to forget that he's not really the main character??! And that's why most of his meta ends up falling flat. He can't do xyz and he can't be xyz because he just isn't important enough 🤷🏽‍♀️

He's an incredibly interesting character (to some) and I hope they do good by him and his fans ✌️

9. worst part of canon

My god, the CJ "big gal" comment, like I physically cant watch it without wanting to throw up a little and the gay little jock jump Ed does afterwards 🥲 I know why they put it in, doesn't mean I'll ever warm up to it. The other is the "ooh daddy" which makes literally no sense and seems so ooc to me lmao, and just NO‼️

14. that one thing you see in fics all the time

Stede getting all his bitchy edges sanded off, my beloathed!! See, Stede is such a complicated and often asinine character and that's what makes him so incredibly lovable too! Being a bitch is a part of that boy's personality, he can't hold that in and people shouldn't separate them! And that's why Ed loves him too (one of the reasons anyway). I see it everywhere, Stede turning into a saint who hasn't said a bad thing in his life, and while it's appropriate in certain settings, it's sorta like reading a mewling izzy lmao - just doesn't work for me 🤷🏽‍♀️

OH MY GOD okay so many thoughts about this and yes, love where you're coming from BUT Draco actually attempts a quad axel in his Unhinged skate!!

When the beat of the song got heavier and more insistent, after the lyric of ‘I can’t decide what I want,’ Draco did the thing that Remus was afraid he would do. He attempted the quadruple axel. The moment Draco leapt off of the outside edge of his left skate, Remus sucked in a deep breath, holding it deep in his chest as Draco was in the air. His right skate came down, but it wasn’t quite on the outside edge, and he stumbled a bit, leaning down to the ice to keep himself upright, brushing it with his fingers.

He doesn't quite land it (because Remus still sort of has to "win" this and I could not rationalize that if Draco cleanly landed a quad axel lol) but ISN'T IT GORGEOUS?? Ilia Malinin makes it look easy in that video!!

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?

Air Catcher, without a doubt. That was a heavy one to write, but so interesting and incredibly cathartic.

But the entire fic actually started with this one line of dialogue that, for some, reason, I couldn't get out of my head: "I miss you so much, Louis, I don’t know why it hurts."

There's something that just makes me want to scream, not only about the notion of Lestat missing Louis, but the fact that he never knows how to articulate it, he literally does not know why it hurts. They both have a lot of growing to do, and idk I think this fic broke my heart and then healed it again lmao
