and while hyunjae was the type who found every reason to stay indoors, some days, he had no objections with spending his day out. today was not one of those days. he imagined himself liking this more if he came to jeju on his own terms and time. not that he wasn't grateful for what seemed like a paid vacation, but lately, he'd rather spend his days in the studio, or somewhere quiet... maybe even dark so his senses weren't overwhelmed. there was just a lot going on around him, and the last thing he felt is relaxed -- which, in his opinion, is the point of him visiting the island in the first place.

if his little tantrum wasn't enough, he lost yejun and the group they were with doing those quick tour around the place. or maybe he's the lost kid and everyone's looking for him. from the looks of it though, he didn't seem lost or annoyed at all, sitting on one of the beach chairs in the shade, looking at the scenic view and watching boisterous crowds enjoying their activities, "people look at this view and expect you to come up with a summer anthem or something." he says mindlessly heaving a sigh, "would it be weird to come up with a break-up ballad instead?" an amuse smile etches at the corner of his lips, one that soon fades when he realizes he was not alone but in the presence of chae seungyong ( @vldseungyong​​ ). he pauses for a moment before he continues, “i... said that out loud, didn’t it?”

This was what he had been waiting for, asking for, pleading for. Well, perhaps not so much so. The past few years had been slow, kind — welcoming like warm arms pulling him close. People asked few questions except as to where he was on occasion, or when they could expect a comeback, or where they could.... Perhaps there were more questions asked than he liked. And now? With a comeback? Far, far too many...

But he’d be lying if he said he didn’t like the attention and praise.

Leaning back in his chair, the Iksan native raised his coffee cup, prepared to take a sip while a smile curled about his lips at the simple sight of the woman across from him. They rarely had an opportunity to see one another, and when they did it often included alcoholic drinks and messy sheets. But at work? At work they were cordial and conversed here and there, so that when they got coffee together or chatted it didn’t seem all too odd.

As he took a sip of the black liquid, he could feel the corners of his mouth twitch, threatened to turn downwards as a familiar figure approached them. He should have known better than to think they’d be able to do something as simple as enjoy a coffee without interruption.

“Seungyong,” the soloist greeted the man, giving him a slight incline of his head to indicate a bow. His free hand fiddled with the cigarette carton the tabletop.

If you could have roomed with anyone for this trip, which two ( 2 ) people would you pick and why? Staff, which other one ( 1 ) person?

I’m going to give the most predictable answer, but I’d room with Jaemin ( @vldjaemin ) and Juno ( @vldjuno ). If this is supposed to be a vacation, I think it’d be best if I get the calmer members so those not-so-calm ones can also enjoy their time without driving me a little crazy. You know who we’re talking about. He’ll be fine. ( @vldxion )

“If anyone really means anyone, then I guess my first choice is Minjun ‘cause I know him pretty well, I’m comfortable with him. Areum because we’ve got a few things in common. I feel understood by her. And then… Naeun, because she’s one of the few people I feel comfortable calling a friend.”

What: Crossing Paths with @vldseungyong​

Where: Atlas Building

When: 10 AM, Weekday

     Now having to reside at the Atlas dorms for the meantime, the Summit Media idol found himself spending more and more of his time in his temporary company building. Did he have any business wandering around the AR floors? No, but it’s been weeks and they welcomed him enough to let him be. Jasper was friends with a few of their artists, but none of them were around at the time; which only made his visit embarrassing. To his surprise, it seems like he found his saving grace. Straightening his back, he walked firmly as he approaches the Particle leader.

     Carefully, not wanting to startle him, he greets him with a bow, “Seungyong Sunbaenim, hello.” Never forgetting to express his respects for his senior. It was no surprise that everyone knew who Particle was, but LYNQ? A few head scratches, silence and eventually a change in topic. Jasper would have never guessed that he’d end up in this career path, but still, he wanted to succeed. And undeniably, if there was a group to look up to, Particle was the group. “What brings you here?” He wonders, since both of them were in building that was neither of their companies.

it was such a lovely day. to her, the fact that may was coming to a close was crazy but she was still very excited about it. summer was juliet’s favourite season simply because it was the best time to go and spend some quality time outside. the woods were especially pretty at this point of year which was exactly why she practically begged @vldseungyong to go on a walk with her. eveyone else had been busy and she remembered him telling her that he enjoyed taking walks too.

“look how pretty!” the blonde suddenly exclaimed with a gasp as she leaned down to pick up a rock. dusting it off quickly, juliet proudly presented it to the older male in front of her. “if you’d like, i’ll even name it after you. you know since you’re the reason i found it in the first place. if you hadn’t agreed to come with me i never would have found it.” juliet explained, smiling as she continued to clean the small stone with her hands.

It wasn’t unusual for Bandit and Seungyong to spend some of the little free time they were generously granted, still working. Although to them it didn’t really feel like work, more of a collaboration of ideas, and kind of like hanging out. The rapper didn’t always like writing or working with others when it came to their music, but over the years they had found the leader to be priceless when it came to feedback and critique, and they could only hope they felt the same way about Bandit. God forbid he was only spending time with them in the studio because he pitied them or something. 

Although, Bandit liked to think they knew Seungyong well enough to know they weren’t the type to keep things like that bottled up. If the leader was irritated for reasons that were work related, they’d know it.

Stepping outside, the idol raised their arms over their head, whining softly as they stretched out their back. One of the things about the idol being in the studio so long, is that after a while they started to resemble Quasimodo with the way they ended up hunched over their keyboard. As bad of a habit as it was, they couldn’t deny that feeling their bones popping and releasing air stored between them was satisfying. After a moment in the sun, Bandit took their large sunglasses off the top of their head and placed them over their eyes, not before pushing them down their nose just enough for them to make eye contact with their companion. “Do you have one of those for me?” They asked, referring to the cigarette that was being held to his lips. Not an uncommon question, coming from Bandit. @vldseungyong​

What’s your favorite seasonal activity?

I want to say soccer? I played a lot of soccer when I lived in Seattle, and joined a club team once I moved back to Seoul. I don’t play nearly as much as I used to, but I still enjoy watching it on television every once in a while, and I’d like to be able to attend to matches in person again.

Visiting Jungmun Beach, hands down. I can’t remember the last time I was on a beach for something even vaguely resembling a vacation. The simple fact that I got to goof around in sun and surf is reason enough to consider it the best activity. Let’s go! Round two!

What’s your favorite seasonal activity?

I didn’t know this before visiting Jeju Island, but I really love the beach! It was so much fun, being in the sun and the water, and getting to play in the sand. I want to do that every summer.
