NANNY 🍡
matt sturniolo X f!reader
summary : The Sturniolos found it increasingly difficult to raise their brother, Matt's daughter especially since they were all boys, hiring a nanny seemed like the best solution, your slight obsession with money and the pay they were offering was too good not to apply, but little did you know that your bond with the dad would become more than just professional.
part 1
☆
"Evelyn!"Chris shouted into the hallway of the Sturniolos' house, where Evelyn could be heard giggling from the other side of the door. She was always playing hide-and-seek with her uncles, and it seemed like it was her favorite game. Today, however, Chris had a more important task at hand: getting his niece to put on a pair of pants.
But it was not an easy task. Chris had been trying to get Evelyn to wear pants for the past thirty minutes, and every time he thought he had her cornered, she would somehow wriggle free and run off to hide again.
He sighed, rubbing his forehead as he considered his options. He knew that he couldn't chase her around the house all day, and he was starting to feel irritated.
"Evie? come out sweetheart, I'll let you play with my hair, don't you love braiding my long hair?"Chris winced, as he remembered how Evelyn had almost made him bald once, trying to braid his hair. But, he had to try something. He heard a tiny giggle from the other side of the door and waited, hoping that she would come out.
Then it hit him. He remembered a little trick that always works. Candy. If he gave Evelyn some candy, she would probably be distracted enough to let him help her put on the pants. Grinning to himself, he hurried to the kitchen, rummaging through the cupboards until he found a bag of her favorite chocolates. He returned to the hallway, clutching the bag in his hand.
"Evie! Hey, Evie, come here for a second," Chris called, trying to sound casual. When Evelyn finally poked her head out from under the coffee table where she'd been hiding, she flashed him a big grin. "I've got something special for you," he said, holding up the bag of chocolates. Her eyes lit up, and she skipped over to him, her little hands already reaching for the treat.
"Treats!" she exclaimed, taking a few pieces and stuffing them into her mouth. As she chewed happily, Chris took the opportunity to kneel down beside her and gently slip the pair of pants onto her little legs. "Don't tell your dad, okay?" he said, sighing in relief as he finally buttoned her pants. Evelyn nodded, her mouth full. She had never been so happy to wear pants before.
As Chris stood up, he noticed Nick, walking into the room, his eyes glued to his phone. "Are you guys done?" he asked, looking up and, noticing the half-eaten candy in Evelyn's hand. But before Chris could respond, Nick's expression turned sour. " Chris what the hell are you doing?!" he whispered-yelled. "Giving her candy!? she had like three bags this morning!"
"Shut up, Nick," Chris hissed back, "I was just trying to get her to wear some pants." He looked at Evelyn, who was still munching on the candy, Nick rolled his eyes but didn't argue. Chris. sighed, turning to Evelyn, ready to take the rest of the candy away from her. But before he could, An ear-piercing scream filled with terror rang out through the house.
Evelyn had dropped the candy, clutching her hands to her mouth, tears streaming down her face. Chris and Nick exchanged confused glances before rushing to her side. "Evie, what's wrong?" Chris asked, panic rising in his voice.
"DADDY!" Evelyn screamed, pointing behind them. Chris and Nick turned around to see their brother, Matt, standing in the doorway looking confused. " Chris took my candy!" she cried, pointing accusingly at her uncle.
"Hey!" Chris snapped his head back to his niece" trying to defend himself. "She was the one stuffing her face with it!" Nick chimed in, half-heartedly siding with Chris. "And you had plenty of other candy!" Evelyn, however, was having none of it. She continued to cry, pointing at Chris.
Matt, looking more confused than ever, stepped into the room. Evelyn walked to his side, making grabby hands at him. "Daddy, Chris is being a meanie," she whined. "He took my candy!"
Chris rolled his eyes. "Oh, my fuck-"
"Chris!" Nick yelled, interrupting whatever was about to come out of his mouth.
"He's just jealous because he's not as cute as you, Evelyn." Nick sighed hoping she would stop. The little girl smiled up at her uncle and flipped her hair before giving Chris a nasty look.
"Kid I swear to-"
"Chris" Matt warned, raising an eyebrow. "Evie, honey, you know you can't eat all that candy, right?" He asked her. She nodded, still looking a bit upset. "Well, why don't you put the rest of it away for later, and we can find something else for you to eat, okay?" Matt suggested, reaching out to take the rest of the candy from her. She hesitated for a moment but then handed it over to her father.
Chris couldn't help but feel a bit relieved as he watched the interaction between Matt and Evelyn. He glanced at Nick, who looked like he didn't care about any of this.
Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door.
"I'll get it," Nick said, walking over to the door and opening it. He wasn't expecting anyone, and he definitely didn't expect to see who was standing there. His eyes widened in surprise as he took in the beautiful woman before him. She had long, flowing hair that cascaded down her back in waves, and she was wearing a stunning olive green dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. A white lace parasol was draped over her arm. Her eyes were piercing through him, as she smiled coyly.
"Hello! Is this the Sturniolo household ?" the beautiful woman asked, her voice smooth and melodic.
Nick glanced back at the woman. He cleared his throat and managed to respond, "Yeah, um, yeah, it is. Can I help you?" He asked.
"Nick why is it taking so long?" a voice from behind him asked. He turned around to see his brother, Chris, standing there, looking annoyed, but when he saw who Nick was talking to, his expression changed to surprise and then amusement.
She smiled at him, before turning her attention back to Nick. "I'm here to see Mr.Matthew Sturniolo. Is he around?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. Her index finger rested on her pursed lips, as she pretended to be deep in thought.
Nick looked at her curiously, before glancing back at Chris. "Um, yeah, he's actually right here," he said, signaling for Chris to call Matt.
"MATT!" Chris shouted, making Nick physically cringe at the volume. His brother rolled his eyes before turning back to the woman. She smiled politely at Nick, her gaze curious and unblinking.
"what's up ?" Matt asked, walking up behind his brother, and noticing the woman standing at the door. His jaw almost hit the floor.
"Oh, hello there," she said, her voice as smooth as silk. "I'm the new babysitter, the name's y/n."
"Holy shit..."
"excuse me ?" Y/n raised an eyebrow.
"I said hello" Matt stuttered, clearing his throat as he regained his composure, making Nick snort.
"I was told I'd be working for the Sturniolo family. You must be the father, Mr.Matthew?" She held out her hand, her posture confident and balanced.
"Ah, yes. Yes, I'm Matt" Matt replied, taking her hand and shaking it firmly. "And these are my brothers, Nick, and Chris" He gestured to the two people who were both staring at the woman with matching smiles.
"Nice to meet you all" Y/n smiled, looking at each of them in turn. "I understand that I'll be taking care of little Evelyn from now on?"
Matt nodded, still a bit taken aback by her presence. He gestured for her to come in, and she walked past them into the house, her heels clicking softly on the hardwood floor. "Make yourself comfortable"
"Daddy?!" Evelyn's voice echoed through the house, as she ran into the living room, her tiny hands full of toys. She stopped short when she saw the tall woman standing there, and her big blue eyes widened in awe.
"Princess" The little girl whispered, eyes still wide, as she slowly walked towards the new woman. "Who... who are you?" she asked shyly, looking up at her. Y/n knelt down to be at the little girl's level and smiled warmly at her.
"It's nice to meet you, I'm your new babysitter, y/n. I'm going to take really good care of you from now on, okay?" Evelyn nodded slowly, still eyeing her with curiosity. "Would you like to show me some of your toys?" she asked, gesturing to the toys in Evelyn's tiny hands. The little girl's face lit up, and she happily began to show her all of her favorite things.
In the background, Nick and Chris exchanged glances, still in disbelief over the new babysitter. Matt smiled to himself, thinking that she seemed perfect for the job. Not only was He confident that Evelyn would be in good hands with her, but he also couldn't deny that he was enjoying the view.

indefinitely, forever ☆ okkotsu yuuta! [1/3]
okkotsu yuuta (post shibuya) x fem!reader
click here for: part one | part two | part three
- no spoilers from the manga, dwdw ;)
- alternative universe where yuuta is an SCP?
- [18+] three-part series, 10k+ words in total
(note: not proofread, expect grammar mistakes)
warning: contains descriptions of blood, yuuta is a bit OOC/has that gojo satoru influence, romance, happy ending but contains slight angst and comfort, 2nd person pov, reader swears like a sailor
"Slacking off already?"
You scramble into standing at the authoritative tone. You could feel the heavy rush of blood creeping up on your face, and the hammering of your heart in your ears. It pounds almost painfully against your chest, lungs contracting and expanding fast; both out of fear and embarrassment, with the latter being more prominent across your lethargic features as you stared up at your supervisor.
Nanami leers down at you. Disappointment is etched all across his face, followed by a knowing sigh. "I expected better."
"S-Sorry, sir." You apologize profusely, bowing down. The bright red nametag dangles from your neck and you can't help but notice how your leather shoes had worn out a long time ago. "I must've dozed off somehow. It will not happen again."
"Might a coffee help?"
You raise your head to see a paper coffee cup offered to you, light steam still rising from within. While Nanami had been nothing but ridiculously strict from the start, he was considerate enough to check in on you every once in a while. You accepted the coffee in his stead with a smile.
"Thanks, boss. I'll keep watch."
The blonde man simply hums in response. He leaves as quickly as he came, leaving you alone to watch the hallways. You see him walk down, turn a curve- and then he's out of your sight.
You lean back, the chair creaking as you did. Working as a security officer was more lackluster than you thought it would be; movies portrayed tales of saving and glory, but this was nothing like it. The hours were long and boring, lasting 12 in total. Every four hours you were required to fuck off your post and switch to another one down the hall. Sometimes you regretted signing the NDA that never once stated just how large the underground facility was, and just how much area coverage you'd have to keep watch single handedly.
Not to mention, the anomalies that lie within.
See, the Foundation had just three main jobs for you: Observe, Check-up and Report. The comically huge button was right next to you, shining in all of its glory and always just a stretch away in any case of a problem.
You flicked between CCTV channels. Some displayed the outer areas, hallways going beyond your line of sight and others within the confined cells of those you’re keeping watch about. Most of the anomalies here are kept in solitary confinement. You’ve had your fair share of jumpscares when an entity approached too close to the camera, slobbering all up against the lense; before your screen flickers and the anomaly returns to its restful state. Oftentimes it leaves a foggy residue and a prisoner would be assigned to clean it up.
And more than often, they die doing it.
But with a clean camera and one less burden on the face of Earth— who really gives a shit? Certainly not you. Certainly not when the pay was so damn good you spent it on a trip to Bali the first month you made bank. And certainly not for…
Is that a walking person?
You thrust forward in your seat, eyes glued onto the screen as if you could make his face out in any better resolution than the crappy screen could ever do you service. The choices linger in your head: should you approach or report? One choice would lead to the individual’s death and the other might just lead you to yours.
So you took the third option: to talk to them.
There’s a static in the speaker. You tap the mic briefly, earning the attention of the stranger. They stop mid-track, head turning up and staring almost right into your very eyes, as if they could see through you.
“Identify yourself, or you will be detained.”
Person puts both hands up. “My name’s Yuta.” The voice of a man, no doubt, but you kept your suspicions still. “I woke up in a room and the door was unlocked, so I left. Where am I?”
“What room?” Your tone sharpened in inquiry.
“I don’t know. I don’t even know how I ended up here.”
“Identify yourself.” You repeat, customary of the protocol you learned before you started the job. Half of you thought of contacting Nanami; but it would risk him encountering the mysterious man. On the other hand, you couldn’t just let an unknown person roam around the facility. Much less: what if this person was an entity?
A shapeshifter of sorts, perhaps? You wouldn’t really know considering the fact that half the anomalies here are capable of human speech.
He stays silent for a while.
You repeat, “I said, identify yourself. I will give you 10 seconds to prove your humanity before I hand you over to the authorities.”
“Fuck.” Yuta mumbles, running a hand through his hair. Prove my humanity? A million thoughts ran through his head at once. Clearly, this place he had wandered into is nothing human-like. Rather, it's designed like a prison. He rummages through his pockets— nothing. All items that he brought with him prior to being caught had been confiscated.
The countdown had started.

… “Wait,” He thought of an idea. “I can prove to you that I’m human. You can touch me. That’ll be enough, no?”
You sneer at his idea, “No physical contact.”
Yuta sighs, looking down at his uniform. At least he had his outfit intact, which means that they never intended to strip him bare at all. The man pursed his lips in a line, hands holding onto the clasp of his jacket.

… “What the FUCK do you think you’re doing?!” You yell at him, dashing to the door. You were outside just in time before Yuta could fully undress himself. His hands stop fumbling with the belt of his pants. At a loss for words, you could only watch as he drops his shirt back over his body, leaving little to imagination.
He cranes his head up at you with a knowing smile, “Have I now proven my humanity, ma’am?”
“Nudity is strictly prohibited in this facility!”
His eyes fold into crescents at the revelation, “I’m sorry. That was the only solution I could think of. Can you show me the way out?”
You folded your arms, “No.”
“I thought so. May I at least use the restroom?”
“No.”
Yuta’s eyes drift upwards, deep in thought. “If so, will I ever make it out of here?”
“That depends,” You answer, crossing your arms together. The taser strapped onto your belt felt heavy and dangerous— more than usual. Something about Yuta just didn’t feel right, and your gut instincts claw at you to run. “We can do this the easy way, or the hard way.”
The man says nothing, merely watching every step you take as you head back into the control panel.
Your hand rests on the red button, eyes never wavering from the man that stood below you at a safe distance away. “Your choice, Yuta.”
“How must I prove myself then?”
“By showing me the anomaly that you are.”
His eyes visibly harden at your words, no longer having the glimmer that they once did. It was in the present that you felt it— the darkness that radiated off his very body, and the reason that this particular man had been wandering the halls of the facility unbothered.
“An anomaly?”
“You’re not human.” You simply accuse.
“You might be right about that. But I choose to be human regardless of what I am.”
You don’t care enough about his reasons. The way his dark eyes reflect absolutely nothing terrified you to the very core, more than any jumpscare you’ve encountered. The bright red button underneath you burns with such ferocity that it was only right to hit it— and send the foreign man back into the cell he once broke out of. You watch as soldiers dressed in hazmat suits flood into the hall at your call, almost always a millisecond away, their specialized guns pointed at the man.
But he did not flinch, not even once spared a gaze to look around him. He stayed his ground, only to be dragged away.
His eyes were trained on you, and only you.
“Did he hurt you?”
You’re now on break in the staffroom with Nanami and another supervisor named Maki, right after he heard of what happened. You shook your head, taking a sip of the fourth cup of coffee you had that day. The caffeine had long worn out its effects on your body that you just had to keep drinking, regardless of how detrimental it might just be to your health.
“Thankfully, no. What the fuck is a Keter class doing out there? How is he uncontained?”
“He broke out.” You turn your focus onto the coffee that had run cold, wedged between your fingers. You’ve always hated how fragile these paper cups were. It reminded you of how easy it was for these entities to crush humans to brine and bone with little to no mercy. Yet at the hands of Yuta, you were miraculously spared.
He was friendly, even.
“What kind of SCP is he?”
“He’s not an SCP. He’s a human host with an SCP living in him. Sometimes it appears, sometimes it doesn’t.” Maki shrugs.
“Damn, that’s cool.”
“He tells us that it was bound to him through love.”
You choked on your drink, splattering brown everywhere on the table. Nanami sighs and pats your back. Maki looks at you in disgust, wiping the stains off her uniform with a handkerchief. You wanted to laugh. Out of all things, an SCP of love. You chuckle a little, smiling at your supervisor only to be met with a flat stare.
Oh.
“No way.”
“It’s true. The entity demands that no one lays a finger on him. Most times he can control the SCP. But when he’s hurt, it’s a different story entirely.”
“Wait, wait. So how did you guys manage to catch him?”
Maki recounts the details, “Apparently, he was a secret weapon in the military designed to decimate hundreds in one sweep. That SCP came to him naturally as a child, but it wasn’t his actions that got him caught.”
“So what did?”
“His superiors betrayed him and sent him over to us as they feared that he was getting too powerful for them to control.”
Oh. You started to feel a little bad for him now. But a memory crosses your mind and suddenly that sympathy is gone.
“He almost stripped naked in front of me.”
“Huh?” Nanami was caught off-guard for once, both eyebrows raised instead of one.
“I asked him to prove his humanity.”
“And then he started stripping?” Maki had an equally confused look on her face. She pushes up the frame on her face before leaning forward, “Don’t tell me that you liked it.”
“I mean…”
“Seriously?”
You laugh sheepishly at her words, tossing the empty cup into the bin behind them in perfect accuracy. “I’m just kidding. At least I won’t have to meet him anymore. Can’t have him strip naked around me every time we cross paths.”
Nanami frowns at your words, “Be careful.”
“Sure, sure.” You wave goodbye to them and take your leave, heading towards your last shift of the day.
You found yourself in front of his cell.
Realization only hits you once you read the tag off the door, painted red and in bold: KETER CLASS. DO NOT ENGAGE. Unlike other cells, Keter cells had no windows to peek through. You could only rely on the CCTV back in the control panel room, but you found it unreliable considering how easy it was for Keters to destroy such puny little things. You take a step back.
"I really should stop drinking coffee." You mumble to yourself and turn away.
"Did you come to visit me?"
An all-too familiar voice echoed behind you, and you jump away instantaneously from the door. It's still intact. How he managed to hear you, you don't know. What you do know now is that you're standing in front of his cell.
"No."
"Is no the only word you know?"
Witty. You cough, "I heard about you."
"What about me?"
You hesitate a little, "That you're not the anomaly."
"So now you know." There's curiosity in his tone, erasing any lethargy you had left in your body. Guilt paws at your heartstrings for doubting his reasons during the encounter earlier, but the man is still Keter class. It doesn't make him any less of a monster compared to others. The only difference between him and others is that he's placed in a jail befitting of lower ranked anomalies. "What else did you hear?"
"That you still pose as a threat to humanity."
"Am I a threat to you?"
"Yes." was your answer. You were here for money, not morality. While the notion that he would rot in his cell for the rest of his years was indeed a question of one, you weren't paid to stay idle and chitchat with an anomaly. You were expected even less: to simply cast morality aside and do as you were told by the Foundation. So you dusted yourself off and turned on your heels to move towards the next post you were supposedly assigned to.
"I see. Well it was nice to know you..."
At the sound of your name, you freeze yet again.
"How do you know my name?"
"It's on your tag."
"How can you see me?"
Goosebumps prickle your skin all over. Your legs pick up the sudden skip in your heartbeat and in a flash, you start sprinting for your life. You were just in time, out of range as the metal door breaks open with a crash, sending debris everywhere. You were far enough to get hit, but the sound had been loud enough to garner attention from creatures all over the place. Hisses and banging scratched at your ears as you continued down the hall, the opposite direction of where safety should be. But it didn't really matter; people outside would have heard of it and safety would come for you any minute now.
You force a look over your shoulder to see an enormous white creature behind him, large grey claws extended and chillingly long arms draped around his frame resembling a protective stance. Behind the cages of muscle on her head lies a single eye, glaring right into your very soul. It's mouth move in ragged breaths, teeth sharper than its claws ready to bite. If you squint hard enough- the man with his pet monster was smiling at you.
"You do know its rude to leave without saying goodbye, right?"
And like a predator, he started to chase you.
The entity lets out a bloodcurdling scream, getting on its arms and wriggling towards you. Now you're fully awake and drunk on adrenaline, sweat dripping down your body with how fast you were running.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck..." Curses slew out of your lips as you ran even harder knowing how quickly he was catching up. You focused ahead instead; to the left is a dead end, you know that. And to the right is an even longer hall of agitated anomalies that most likely are on his level too. With a giant monster chasing after you however, were you really on the spot to give a shit about what would happen?
No. Anyone in your spot would've done the same.
It helped that your paycheck had been deposited earlier last week. You could really give less of a fuck about damage control.
Your feet started to hurt. "Fucking leather shoes." You grumble to yourself and skid a turn towards the elongated row of Keter-class anomalies. You pass multiple warning signs, the alarms going off. Eventually you see red all around you, shadows dancing on the walls as they approached even closer, slowing down just to taunt you.
"Stop running."
"Then stop chasing me, you freak!"
"Well, the 'freak' has a name. It's Yuta." He closes the gap between the two of you, voice steady despite how fast he was chasing up.
You paid him no mind as you duck underneath a warning sign and roll on your back to avoid a reaching arm from the screeching creature. Stubborn as you are, you notice an emergency exit and made mental note to stay close to it. You unclasp the taser off your belt just in time when a hand grabs your shoulder. You fire up the taser and jab right, but miss and eventually find yourself falling to the ground.
You made romantic contact with the floor, lips on the cold hard tile. "Shit!" You hiss from the pain and roll away just in time as Yuta was about to grasp a hold on you yet again.
Blood gushes from your split lip, and it tastes disgusting knowing that you just made love with the floor. Right before you could get up, though, you found yourself encaged within the palms of the alien-like SCP. Pain bursts through your nerves everywhere, feeling like knives stabbing deep into your gut. You could've swore you heard your ribs break from the amounting pressure.
"Caught you."
"Yuuuuuuta," The creature closes its janky fingers around your body, salivating as it eyed you from head to toe. The pressure around your body tightens and you felt like you could break just from how tight it was gripping you. Hair stuck to your face like a wet rag, leaving you with limited eyesight. "What should I do with herrrrrr?"
"Let.... Go... of me!" You rasp between breaths.
"Don't kill her. She'll be our lifeline, Rika."
Rika lets out a displeased grunt and sets you down on the ground, but has its hands still wrapped around you. Not as tight, but much like a warning that it could break you anytime it needed to. You catch your breath with a chain of fitful coughs, your legs and lungs burning from the marathon. Your chest heaves heavily, sore and most probably bruised. There's splitting pain from your lips, blood dripping onto the very same tile you shared your first kiss with.
You now see him eye-to-eye, close enough to notice his parted hair and sneakers. He couldn't be any younger than 20, but the eyebags that hung below his eyes tell a different story.
"I'm sorry. I need you as a hostage."
"Fuck you." You spat at him coldly.
Yuta kneels and presses a hand to your shoulder, forcing you to stop writhing under his touch. You try shoving his hand away, but the grip stays firm. Some fuck ass glowing magic flowed through his hand and loosened the soreness in your muscles, easing your tension. From your point of view, the man radiated like a glowstick.
"Don't touch me!"
He locks his eyes with you, "I'm healing you."
"Would've been nice to not get hurt in the first place."
Yuta sucks a sharp breath in, "Look, I'm really sorry for hurting you. I just need to get out of here. You'll have to be my hostage."
You click your tongue in annoyance at his genuine apology, "You won't even make it out the front gate. They'll be all over you soon. You think the Foundation gives a shit about some security guard like me? They'll kill us both, dumbass."
"You're right." Yuta is clearly amused by your personality now that you're being treated as a partner-in-crime rather than a stranger. You stood stunned when his hand moves up and his thumb ghosts over your lips, "Don't worry, I'll get us out of here."
His thumb was cold against your lips. The action felt more intimate than you'd like, and it had you holding your breath. It needed major balls not to flutter from the contact.
The bleeding stopped, prompting him to move his hand away.
The cold lingered a little longer than you'd like for it to be.
"Us? I'm not going anywhere with you."
"You will. Now that you're with me, they'll think you're complying with me. And if you won't, they'll imprison you." The bleeding stopped, and he wipes the remaining blood off on the side of his pants.
You fall silent. What he said was roughly the truth. In reality, it would be even worse if you did get caught- not only will Nanami be under fire for the inability to protect you- but you might also be on trial under suspicion of letting Yuta escape. And such trials might just end in your death. All in all, its a lose-lose case; but you'd much rather be on the winning team.
"Damn you."
"We can do this the easy way, or the hard way."
You raise your head to glare at the man who had just obnoxiously turned your own words against you. His eyes light up a little, seeing your reaction. "Your choice."
"Fine."
"What was that?"
"I said yes!" You retort, flipping the bird at him.
He flashes you a grin, "That might've been the first time you've said yes to me!"
Oh, how you wished for supernatural powers like his to decimate the teasing man on the spot. Your fists crumple to a close, keeping that rage preserved in the back of your head. One day you'd get your revenge on him.
"Rika. My katana please." Yuta caresses its face gently.
You could feel her giddiness from the shake of Rika's enclosed palm around you. She reaches up to her neck and pulls out a long blade from within, handing it over to him. "For youuuu, Yutaaa."
He takes it from her, swishing it in the air and stretching his limbs free. "Thanks. Lead the way, I'll keep you safe." There's shouting and stomping from a distance, the roaring of soldiers fending off escaped anomalies. Nanami and Maki are out there too, calling for you. Your heart sinks a little at the prospect of betraying them.
You huff, blowing hair out of your face.
"It's on the other side. Opposite of the way we ran in. But I need you to do me a favor and not kill everyone you see."
Yuta brightens up. The likelihood of him fighting against a large horde of people had him excited. "That's not something I can promise."
"Fine. Then at least spare Nanami and Maki."
"Who's that?"
"Uh, guy with blonde hair and a woman with green hair."
He shrugs, “I’ll try.”
Deep down inside, you felt a part of you die.

oh sorry about that is it OK if I request the yandere Tarhos Prompts with gn reader then?
Yeah, I'll try! I always saw The Knight as silent but I'll see what I can do :) My prompts were used for this! The prompts may make him OOC due to his lore but I'll try! Sorry it's a bit short, I struggled with his character a bit.
AU prior to the fog where you are a lord/lady who hired Tarhos as a protector. I don't rememeber if the original request had a plot sent so I apologize in advance :(

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Mentions of slavery, OOC Knight compared to his lore probably, Murder, Vague on romantic or platonic, Violence.
Tarhos only ever knew bloodshed. That was how the world worked in his eyes. The world ran on blood and violence, peace was never an option considered to him.
He's a mercenary whose loyalty only ever goes to the highest bidder. That and his pack of mercenaries... an honor among thieves relationship. Other than that, he's a killer to the core.
Tarhos ran on bloodshed, the blood on his blade a sign of victory. He felt no other emotions other than kill, kill, kill. Even when hired by you his goal mostly remained the same.
Kill for wealth, take what you can.
The idea of 'kindness and care for those not close to you' baffled Tarhos. Which is why the knight finds it strange that you act so kind to him. It's not just out of respect, either.
Tarhos ignores it. Although, your care for him makes him remember his best mates. He does care deeply for the assassin, the butcher, and the jailer... but he knows them.
He doesn't know you.
So why do you care so much about a mere mercenary?
Don't you know he could easily turn on you and take your wealth?
A job is a job, he thinks, so he adapts. Your strange behavior towards him originally doesn't affect his thirst for blood. Then it started to grow on him the more he met with you for pay.
At some point he let it slip that he had buddies who were also sold into slavery. You heard somehow and confronted him. The knight felt threatened... but you calm him.
"You want them free, don't you?" You ask.
Tarhos tries to decipher your words. What were you planning?
"Paying for their freedom isn't easy, let alone finding them... but I'll see what I can do if you wish."
He doesn't trust this. No person is this damn caring. Especially to someone who tortures and murders for pay. But you were wealthy and he needs the money.
He's silent yet you slowly nod.
"It's an offer, my knight. I'll see if I have connections."
For some reason, the title you gave him made him pause when you walked away. 'My Knight'... your knight... it had a pleasant ring. As he watches you walk away... he thinks you're better than previous employers.
In fact your kindness only made working for you sweeter...
Even if it was naive to tend to his plights.
---
Your distaste for seeing the knight's violence is laughable. You expected murder, torture, and violence... but loathe seeing it. For the most part, Tarhos was fine with shielding you from seeing it.
Tarhos had takena liking to his job of protecting your life. Deep down he hopes you'll hire his friends... even if it may never happen. Either way, he was fine with obtaining your pay and hearing your chatter.
Killing to protect was a job he had often. With you he felt strangely at home compared to other lords and ladies. Close to paradise, even.
Killing in your name was a delightful feeling. Killing in general was something he thrived on... but when it was ordered by you? He's never felt more alive.
Issues never usually arose. You appreciated his help, paid him, wished him luck, and accepted his job. You respected each other.
It was only when he overstepped that things became strained.
You had fought with a fellow noble at one point. A fight your knight saw. Seeing you so intense made his the grip on his sword tighten. When you walked off and ordered Tarhos to follow, Tarhos gave a long look at the noble and their knights before following.
He's supposed to protect you right? Surely you won't mind his need for bloodshed then....
When you were busy with some other meeting, Tarhos knew what to do. He had a goal. He would not rest until said goal is complete.
---
Tarhos only realizes he's sloppy when he hears your shriek. His sword was plunged through the chest of many around him, corpses littering the area around him. His armor is painted in crimson... evidence of his victory.
"You were never meant to see that! Oh, what have I done...."
He sounds surprised, nervous, but didn't really mean it. He knew exactly what he did. He killed a pest, many pests, rats that decided they liked to bite you. Their blood coats his hands and it's all done in your name. He only regrets you catching him in his unneeded violence.
"Tarhos... they didn't deserve to die- There's so much blood...." You mutter, the six foot six knight turning to tower over you. They did need to die. He's your knight, he kills to protect.
Now you stare at him in horror...
He likes it.
"All this blood? It's all for you! Everything I do is all for you!" The knight pledges, bowing towards you, his noble. Why are you surprised? Was he meant to sit back and allow that rat to get away with arguing with you? No... he'd never.
He slaughtered those rats to aid you.
"You're meant to kill threats!"
"That noble rat fought with you, my liege."
"It was an argument, Tarhos-"
"I am your knight. I put a stop to a threat. Is that not why I was hired?"
"I'm not hurt! I was never hurt!"
"Thanks to me."
The knight strolls forward, standing in front of you. You stare fearfully at his bloodied armor. You hate that you can't see his eyes.
"I am yours until I find and obtain my gang..." The helmet echoes, seemingly looking at you. The knight kneels before taking your smaller hand in his. "Until then... you are also mine, my liege."
"No. I refuse to be near you any longer- Release me, fiend! I did not agree to noble murder unless my life is threatened!"
"How pitiful, my noble is having a fit."
You're quickly picked up in strong metal arms. You fight, an action he can only describe as weak.
The knight slings you over his shoulder, he's mindful of what side has spikes on his armor. You kick and scream. You try escape... admirable but sad.
You'd never live in this world... a world of blood and violence. That's why, he determined, you need him. He'll defend you with chivalry between knight and noble.
You'll hate him now...
But the bloodshed he causes for you is meant for your defense and his pleasure... you'll be thankful later.

oi, chuchu!!
– 🌙 anon.
↳ summary: Basically, Pavitr discovers your sketchbook
↳ characters: Pavitr Prabhakar
↳ Gn! Reader
↳ notes: I really took a while to write this one, pls excuse me 🌙 anon, this has been here for weeks ☠ thank you for your sweet words anon you are so kind 😭 Anyway, I hope you like it.
"Oh. My. Gosh! You drew me?!" PAVITR asked as his startled gaze quickly switched between you and your sketchbook.
It was just another normal day at home. You, just enjoying the peace of a moment alone while listening to music and doodling in your sketchbook. Well, that is until Pavitr excitedly barges into your room through the window in his superhero costume, already rambling about his day.
You just muttered and nodded in response, not really paying much attention to him. When he realized that your attention was focused on something else, which honestly took a while, Pavitr wasted no time in interrogating you as he threw himself at you.
You've mumbled a few things like, "Get off me, you're heavy," but your boyfriend still isn't satisfied. Not until he figured out what was taking your attention away from him. Wasting no time, Pavitr quickly snatched your sketchbook from your hands and walked away as quickly as he approached. Silently, he had begun flipping through the book. Then, he slowly lifted his head to face you, still not saying anything.
"Uh... 'Pav?" You had spoken with an apparent hesitation in your voice.
Without much delay, he threw himself at you again with teary eyes as he sniffled.
And here you were, Pavitr leaning over you with puppy eyes as he stared at you, and you, a confused look on your face. "Yes.....? This is you I drew."
As soon as you said 'Yes', your boyfriend started having another "hysteria attack". He'd jump all over you saying things so fast you'd wonder if that was humanly possible. He took out your sketchbook and then pointed to several drawings of him talking so fast it was worthy of a rapper.
"My Gosh, My partner is a genius! How can I be so lucky? That is absolutely amazing!" It was one of the few things you could understand from what he said.
It took about ten minutes for him to calm down, and then the questions began: "Can I get some of these drawings for myself?", "How do you draw so well?", "Can you draw me with wings and a pitchfork? That would be really cool!", "Since when do you know how to draw?", and then "Why didn't you tell me that before?!"
Without even giving you time to answer the other questions, he looked almost upset, as if you had somehow betrayed him when you asked the last question.
Slightly hesitant, you replied "Honestly, I didn't think it was relevant to our relationship."
"Of course it would be important, my partner is an artist! That's a thousand times better than that Van Gogh guy." Pavitr retorted quickly as he fixed you with a serious look that made you wonder if he was joking or not.
Not being able to think of many other response options, you just sighed in defeat and answered him. "Yes, yes, I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
As if by magic, his face lit up as he quickly flashed a bright smile. Then he wrapped you in a hug and smiled. "It's better now. And if you have any more gifts hidden there, I'll want to know, or else... I might get really mad, you know." He said the last part with a failed attempt at a threat that sounded more like he was pleading.
"Sure, sure. I will." You assured him while laughing at his silly yet cute actions.
After a few seconds of silence, he spoke again. "So, can you draw me with wings and a pitchfork?"

I'm gonna send a few options, pick whichever suits your fancy!
14. Lab Partners AU, Leia and Qui-Gon
[prompt list]
14. Lab Partners AU
"Now I know what you're all thinking," the professor is saying as Leia looks up. "A chemistry lab can be a very scary experience. But don't worry—I'll walk with you through it."
Leia eyes him distastefully, trying not to let her lip curl too much. She's in the back of the room, thank god, which means she can glare at him as much as he likes, but it seems like a bad idea to give all the people sitting around her the idea that she's a bitch.
"I took this job because—" he says, and Leia tunes out again and pulls up Luke's number.
I Am Going To Kill This Man, she writes.
please don't. Luke texts back a few seconds later. who?
Jinn.
"The boxes on the worksheet aren’t so small because we’re trying to make it hard for you to answer," he says as she looks up, totally dashing her hopes of him finally having gotten to anything useful, "we’re just trying to teach you how to be concise in your answers."
When she looks back down at her phone again, Luke has sent i liked him :( :(, and Leia sighs and writes back he's making excuses for not knowing how to edit a word doc.
She gets back a ... :(, and scoffs, looking back up—and right into the eyes of the professor, who has somehow spotted her texting from forty meters away.
"Now," he says, eyes still on her, "I had hoped it wouldn't have to come to this, but I think we need to discuss our phone policy. Far be it from me to take draconian measures, but as you are paying for this class, it would be a shame to waste your time on your phone during lectures. I hope you understand how disrespectful texting can be both to your fellow classmates, and to me, your instructor. From now on, if I see your phone out, I will have to ask you to either put it away or leave the room."
I hope someone shoves you off a bridge, Leia thinks, putting her phone away, and watches as Professor Jinn gives her one last look—the first intelligent expression he's had all evening—and continues on to describing the importance of intro-level labs in preparing the young minds of today for the workforce.

Hello! This is actually my first time ever asking for a request so please bare with me if I'm unclear, can i please have some wolf x reader comfort, very burnt out and tired reader and just wolf tryna do what he can to comfort them:) school hasn't been the best for most of us I'm sure so we can all use some nice comfort from our favorite wolf:] thank you!
hey!! your request was perfect, sin!(is it okay if i call you that?) idk how well me writing a comforting wolf keum is gonna be but i'll give it my best! i hope you enjoy and please do take care of yourself(eat enough, drink some water, and please take breaks and sleep well. you deserve it.) also i apologize that this took so long, i literally wrote half of it and IT DIDNT FUCKING SAVE and i’m in class so i can’t cry, but i’m bawling on the inside.
warning: burnt out reader, mental breakdown, swearing, negative self-talk, wolf name-calling reader affectionately, fluff??
safety net - wolf keum x reader
"This is so stupid. I'm so stupid." You mutter to yourself, drying your freshly rinsed face with the sand-like paper towels that your school could afford. You take a look at yourself in the mirror and your mood only sinks further, the pressure pressing harder on your chest, you mind static yet all thoughts are screaming at you to pull yourself together. You were at school, for fuck's sake. You can't be wasting away, crying in the bathroom. And yet here you are, eye liner creeping down your face, eyes red from crying, eye bags darker than the bottom of the ocean, and a killer headache.
You had just started school, being burnt out wasn't an option. Not when you know that you could do better. You sigh and finish cleaning your face, throwing away the last paper towel in the over flowing trash bin. You trudge out the bathroom and glumly make your way back to class. Everything was screaming at you not to go back. You were too tired, you couldn't pay attention to the teacher if you tried, and the thought of hearing any more information makes you want to cry.
The whole day was hell. One reprimand after another by your teachers for "not paying attention" had killed the morsel of energy you somehow had. All you wanted to do was go home, burrow under your blankets, and hide until everything goes away.
But life never works like that. So as soon as you're released from school, you head straight home, relieved to have some alone time. Your plans quickly disappear when you spot Wolf smoking right out front your door. You sigh and internally bash your head. Of course, the one time you need a break, the universe won't let you. You walk closer to Wolf and asses that he's bleeding.
"Another fight?" You murmur, focusing on unlocking your door. Wolf just hums, putting out his cigarette and following you inside. You toe off your shoes, dump your bag somewhere, and head off to the bathroom where you always keep your med kit. Wolf goes to your kitchen- him having done this enough times to know that you prefer him sitting at the kitchen table than anywhere else.
What he didn't expect, though, is for you to take so damn long grabbing the kit. Two minutes passed by before he gets fed up and waltz's into your bathroom, demanding to know what you're doing. The words fall deaf on his tongue when he sees you sitting on your bathroom floor, knees to your chest, struggling to breathe.
It was minutes of awkward silence. You were aware that Wolf was watching you from the bathroom doorway, you just didn’t have energy to do anything about it. “The kit’s on the counter, just give me a second. I’ll be fine.” You mutter, rubbing at your face to try and ground yourself.
Wolf didn’t move, making you feel even more on display. “Fuck that.” He stated, moving to sit next to you on the floor. He wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you down to lay your head on his lap. His hand went to your side, probably to keep you there you assume. Wolf’s other hand pulled out a cigarette and lit it between his lips. “I’ll stop bleeding eventually.”
You didn’t fight, opting to just close to your eyes to enjoy the moment, finally feeling yourself relax. The next thing your conscious of is opening your eyes, finding yourself in your bed. Blinking yourself into reality, you stare as your clock stares back at you with 4:03 am viciously blazing against the black screen. Once the information processes in your brain, you kick your way out of your blankets and stumble out of your room to find Wolf.
He wasn’t on the couch he normally crashes on, so he must be in the kitchen raiding your fridge again, right? Wrong. Wolf’s not there either. You walk into the bathroom and, again, find nothing except your phone and the bathroom smelling like antiseptic.
You wrinkle your nose at the blunt smell and reach for your phone. Below the clock, you see text messages from Wolf.
wolfy: i put the kit back in the cabinet, go back to sleep dumbass.
Wolfy: Also don’t come to school tomorrow, i’ve got an excuse ready and i’ll beat your ass if i can’t use it.
You smiled at the texts after realizing what they meant. You relaxed and wandered back into your room, charging your phone.
Sleep was easy to find after you nestled back into your bed, feeling much more at ease with knowing that you don’t have to go to school tomorrow.
The next day, you wake up leisurely and go to grab some food in the kitchen. A large, styrofoam take out box startles you and you hesitate taking it out of the fridge. You haven’t ordered take out in weeks, but once you opened the lid, you immediately knew it was Wolf who got you the food.
It was your go-to order from the restaurant that Wolf took you to once months ago. You two have been there a couple times since but you didn’t think that Wolf would know what you ordered.
The rest of the day was filled with little surprises that weren’t there before. And each one brought you a little more joy. Maybe Wolf did care more than he let on, little shit.

was zonked off my gourd last night (2mg clonazepam) which infamously makes you steal (i don't do that anymore) so instead you can stroll around the grocery store (we need food no matter what) or the dollarstore (bc it's cheap going on a spree doesn't hurt your pocket as bad) or what i did last night was online shopping filling up my cart and then being like oh we're at $500 let's just remove half the stuff from my cart and then not even buy anything yet... (i even had my credit card on my nightstand ready 😭)
anyways what i'm saying is that benzodiazepines are for women and women be shopping. like if i knew a man that took benzos (cringe word) i'd be like ew why don't you take some amphetamines so you can do your blue collar work with crackhead strength or solve math equations faster? idk. like no doubt courtney love was on birth control bc how on earth can you find a man like kurt cobain attractive?
don't steal and don't be a faggot basically
but another thing, i was thinking those rich housewives have it made. they're always on pills and they have infinite money to buy stuff. problem is it's not true love (one of the last things we have left) and they live a secular life (sad!) so i was like actually on second thought i think i'll stick with my diet pepsi...
and i was like actually you know what. i'm actually so jobless rn so i should not be spending. and then i started to worry but then i was like Matthew 6:26-34 🙏
today i've been looking online for a birthday gift for my landlord (i have something equivalent to store credit so dw i'm not like party rocking myself into poverty) and i've been having so much fun doing it bc i LOVE giving gifts, i'm really good at it. (inb4 omg your landlord??? you're cucked) i do agree landlords are parasites but he's a super cool dude i randomly met that let me move into his house in 2 days notice, moved my stuff into this house for free, and then next month was like "it's okay if you need some time to pay rent i'm not in a hurry" and i was like "no i gotchu" probably bc i give off destitute orphan who somehow managed to avoid prostitution vibes. and then he moved back in with his parents so i live in this house by myself for the cost of a room! and then his parents got me furniture for my room bc i really am a destitute orphan who somehow managed to avoid prostitution
but i feel like if i ever couldn't pay rent he wouldn't kick me out or start charging late fees. also his dad was here during the winter fixing the furnace and for a reason i can't recall he was like "idc at all if this house burns down and we lose it, i care about losing you!" so they're really decent people *david guetta voice* shout out to his family
also that italian faggot called and texted me a week ago but i have his number blocked. the devil with temptation fr. i wanted so badly to shop last night and it would easily be an option to say put the money in my hand and i will do the things you ask me. not that i've done that before but he's tried to arrange things with other men for me hence why he's a faggot that's blocked. and one of the men is a few doors down and literally a gangstalker bc he walks by in the alley and the front to see if i'm outside and i've told that faggot to tell his friend to stop but he won't he does the opposite and is like "no man, go after her!" so now i have bad agoraphobia about these retards which is sad bc i would like to stay here but i feel like a prisoner in my own home and ultimately just want to move away from these degenerates
and about the jobless thing, there's a couple places hiring now that i'm going to apply to and i checked to see if my old job is hiring (they aren't) and then maybe 20 minutes later i get an email from the manager saying they're hiring and to apply when the post goes live in 2 days
God blesses me.

13 + 7 + 20 yangyang fluff pls :D
First Time (f)
Pairing: Líu Yangyang x reader Genre: fluff, fake dating!au
7. "and why would i do this for you?" "because you love me." "not enough- fine." 13. "since we're dating, does that mean i can hold your hand whenever i want?" 20. "shut up and kiss me already."
Thank you for your request! I hope you like it :) Requests open, check out my song request event~
The first time you asked him, he wanted to refuse the offer.
“Please please please, I need this.” You had whined, and Yangyang had just let out a sigh.
You were invited to a karaoke party by some of your old high school buddies, and literally everybody had a date- even though it was a karaoke party- except you. You needed someone you could rely on, and who could you rely on more than your closest friend, Yangyang. Besides, he was good looking and nice- even though you would never admit it in front of him- and somehow he was the only option that had popped up in your mind.
“I don't know.... Being your fake boyfriend? Won't that make things weird?” Hell no it wouldn't, he thought to himself. He just had the one in a million chance to get deeply hurt. Unfortunately for him he always seemed to be that one.
“No Yang I promise I won't let it be weird just, god I need it for tomorrow, or I'll never hear the end of it from those stupid girls.” You said, desperately.
“And why would i do this for you?” “Because you love me.” “not enough- fine.”
Yangyang said, giving in with a sigh. You always saw right through him. You squealed and trapped him in a big hug. “Thank you thank you thank you!”
The next night, it was your first fake date with your "boyfriend". Yangyang picked you up from your house, and even though he was dressed in casuals, he looked awesome, as per usual.
You reached the place by cab- it was just a cheap karaoke room your friends had rented out, but it was one of the bests, and they had great food.
Yangyang liked it when you introduced him as his boyfriend. Throughout the party, he was quiet and just observed you, you were having fun, drinking and singing songs. Your smile brought a smile to his face.
Then he was forced to sing by the others. You never even knew he could sing, but he could, and he was really good at it. He earned some compliments and impressed looks from the others, and you had to admit, he was the best fake boyfriend you could ever have. You wondered what it would be like if it were real.
Yoy exited the party with Yangyang earlier than you expected, it was getting too noisy, and half of them were drunk already. Plus, you could avoid paying this way. It was perfect.
The night was quiet once you came out. There was a chilly, enjoyable breeze blowing. You and Yangyang walked quietly next to each other, a smile on both your faces. “Thanks again, Yang. You prevented me from being embarrassed.” You said, feeling kind of guilty about using him. If only he knew how much you wanted it to be real...
“Its all fine. I had a good time there.” He said.
Another moment of silence. Yangyang suddenly but gently held your finger in his hands. You stared up at him. He looked back at you as he laced all his fingers with yours. You kept staring at him in awe.
“Since we're 'dating', does that mean i can hold your hand whenever i want?” He said.
You turned away your flustered face, squeaking out a little "yes", too quiet to be heard. Yangyang smiled, low-key proud of himself.
“Why would you wanna hold hands with me anyways?” You said, trying to keep your voice nonchalant, not making eye contact with Yangyang
“Why not.” He said, “You're awesome.”
Once again you were staring at him with wide eyes. “And pretty. And smart. And fun to be around.” He continued, looking at you. “and cute.”
You couldn't help it. You blurted the words out before you could even think them over. “Oh just shut up.” You said, “Shut up and kiss me already.”
You stopped in your tracks when you realised what you had said. Your face was drained of colour. Your eyes were filled with embarrassment. You looked at Yangyang. He looked equally surprised. You were about to apologise but Yangyang beat you to it.
“If you want..” Yangyang said, trailing off as his gaze flickered between your eyes and lips, “I mean...” He leaned in closer, soon your nose was touching his.
“I really like you.” Both of you whispered, almost at the same time, and Yangyang quickly gave you a peck on your lips. Not of you stood there, surprised for a minute.
“Can we remove the 'fake' part now?” Yangyang suddenly spoke up.
“Hu-huh?” You said, embarrassing yourself further as you broke out of your trance.
“The 'fake' in 'fake boyfriend'. I'd rather be your real one.” You suddenly became quite shy. “I'd like that.” You said. He smiles, holding your hand once again.
He was kinda glad he didn't refuse the offer the first time.

MARBLE HORNETS FANFIC - KEEP YOU WORKING, TRY TO SURVIVE.
Part 1
(Not focusing entirely on Tim and others)
English is not my first language so please bear this in mind.
- Surely it's a good idea for us to be here? My parents said that no one ventures into this forest at night," the blonde sitting closest to the small bonfire that had been lit by her friends, who also came up with the idea of coming there, said anxiously.
The boy with black curly hair looked at her from above his bottle of high-alcohol drink and raised his eyebrows in a gesture of disbelief.
- Do you really believe that anything is dangerous here? The only thing I have encountered here in my entire life is squirrels taking your food when you are careless. - He replied with a short laugh, to which the girl only scowled more in her seat.
- I'm not saying that something will attack us here, it's just that such places are dangerous after dark because of the people themselves. We can always meet some drunkard or psychopath," she tried to further defend her opinion, but this time their entire group of eight looked at her and laughed. Her friend Daphne clung to her side, poisoning all the fresh air around with the stench of alcohol and cigarettes, Blair covered her nose with her hair, wanting to politely tell the girl that the smell bothered her, but she didn't give a damn and started her drunken argument.
- You know, Blair? You don't have to be afraid of anything, as we are beside you! We will defend you if something happens! Avery didn't mean to be mean, he's just stupid! - She said, resting her head on the blonde's shoulder, so that sometimes she would not fall on the dirty ground.
The girl didn't even pay attention to what that one was saying anymore, she knew that she was barely clinging to her consciousness and should already go home, and somehow it didn't look like their group wanted to go back, so everything falls on her again. As always.
- Avery, Travis can you help me take Daphne to the car? I'll drive her home," she said, holding the barely conscious woman so she wouldn't fall when getting up from the pieces of wood serving as seats.
- Sorry, we're busy, we're about to start our game! - replied Travis, waving some silly cards in front of her face.
- You can handle it Blair, we still have to have fun, after all, it's the last day of summer! - Shouted Meredith, immediately, snatching the cards from Travis' hand.
Of course. Drinking was more important than helping, what did she even expect?
- Fuck you all," she whispered, and began to drag the girl alone to the car, which was a few minutes away from where they currently were.
As soon as they started walking away from the bonfire, as well as the people, Blair started cursing everything and everyone. She felt angry at herself for agreeing to this in the first place, as well as Rome for bringing alcohol, Ezra for choosing such a stupid place, Meredith for agreeing to anything those idiots wanted and Doutzel for making her lie in front of her parents about their outing.
The whole group had changed for the worse over the vacations, and Blair seriously had to reconsider whether it was worth it to hang out with them. Now everything was based on alcohol, it wasn't the same as it used to be.
- I think I'm going to throw up," Daphne said suddenly, holding her friend tighter and stopping them in the middle of nowhere.
The taller girl wanted to stay calm and not yell at the shorter one, but really standing in the dark forest, where you don't even know if they were taking the right path, was not a good idea.
- Can't you wait until we get to the car! - She imploringly asked, not knowing whether to pull the girl closer and start walking faster or just let her throw up here.
She chose the second option, because, however, the visualization of cleaning the new car was not so encouraging.
Daphne finished, crouching by the bushes with her friend behind her rubbing her back. All around them was darkness and silence despite the fact that they could still hear their friends talking or laughing loudly.
This would not have worried the girl, if not for the fact that her friend raised her head and asked in a weak voice
- Why is Avery standing there in the bushes looking at us? This asshole could help us, at least-.
And as hard as she tried not to look in that direction, when she did, she didn't see anyone but a piece of paper attached to a tree next to the aforementioned bushes.
- There's no one there Daphne, let's go now. - She muttered, feeling fear flowing through her. A squirrel would rather not, she thought.
Just as a squirrel rather not have caused Ezra's scream, which spread throughout the forest, and which only made her hug the girl tighter to herself and start running, terrified, to the forest exit.

Yabusame: (examining the umbrellas) Hmm, I'm torn between the polka dot one and the one with a cat pattern. They're both so cute!
Jun: How about this? You can have both! One for backup or to lend to a friend. It's always good to be prepared.
Yabusame: (grinning) That's a great idea! I'll take them both.
(Jun hands Yabusame the chosen umbrellas, and Yabusame pays for the purchase.)
Jun: Thanks for supporting my little business, Yabusame. Enjoy your new umbrellas!
Yabusame: No problem, Jun. Your umbrellas are the best. I'll make sure to spread the word to my friends.
(Scene: Yabusame walks away, happily holding their new umbrellas, as Jun continues promoting their products to other students passing by.)
Jun: Umbrellas for sale! Stay dry and stylish! Get yours before the rain stops!
(The scene fades as Jun continues their entrepreneurial endeavor, bringing a splash of color and convenience to the rainy day at Mugenri High.)
Chapter 2: Mysterious Arrival and Curious Encounters
(Scene: The front entrance of Mugenri High. Sumireko Usami, a newcomer, stands in confusion, looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings.)
Sumireko: (bewildered) Huh? Where am I? This doesn't look like the Outside World. How did I end up here?
(As Sumireko ponders her situation, a group of students nearby notices her presence and begins to whisper among themselves.)
Yabusame: (whispering) Hey, isn't that the girl from the Outside World? What's she doing here?
Tsubakura: (curious) I've heard rumors about her ability to manipulate the paranormal. Do you think she has something to do with the strange occurrences at our school?
Suzumi: (nervously) She seems lost. Maybe we should go talk to her and find out what's going on.
(Yabusame, Tsubakura, and Suzumi approach Sumireko cautiously, trying to strike up a conversation.)
Yabusame: Hey there, you seem a bit lost. Are you new to Mugenri High?
Sumireko: (startled) Oh, you noticed me. Yeah, I am new here, but I have no idea how I ended up in this strange place. Can you help me figure out what's going on?
Tsubakura: We'll do our best to assist you. Mugenri High is a rather unique school with its own mysteries and supernatural occurrences. Maybe you have something to do with it?
Sumireko: (confused) I'm not sure. I just have the ability to manipulate the paranormal, but I never intended to end up in this school. I was exploring the Outside World when everything suddenly went dark, and the next thing I knew, I was here.
Suzumi: That's quite intriguing. Perhaps your abilities are somehow connected to the peculiarities of Mugenri. We should investigate further.
(With their curiosity piqued, Yabusame, Tsubakura, Suzumi, and Sumireko embark on an unexpected journey to unravel the mysteries of Mugenri High and the role Sumireko plays in its supernatural phenomena.)
Chapter 3: Dorm Room Mischief
(Scene: Kuroji and Kurohebi's shared dorm room. The room is adorned with various musical instruments, posters, and a cozy atmosphere.)
Kuroji: (strumming a guitar) Ah, it's so peaceful in here. Just the sound of music and relaxation.
Kurohebi: (sitting on a beanbag chair) Yeah, it's a nice break from all the chaos outside. We should enjoy this tranquility while it lasts.
(As Kuroji continues playing the guitar, a mischievous idea crosses Kurohebi's mind.)
Kurohebi: Hey, Kuroji, do you think we can play a little prank on our friends? Something harmless and fun?
Kuroji: (raising an eyebrow) Prank? What do you have in mind?
Kurohebi: Well, remember that time when Sukune accidentally spilled juice on Suzumi's favorite book? It was hilarious! I think we can come up with something equally amusing.
Kuroji: (chuckling) Alright, I'm in. But let's make sure it doesn't cause any trouble or hard feelings. We don't want our pranks to go too far.
(Kuroji and Kurohebi put their heads together, brainstorming ideas for a harmless prank. After a few minutes, they settle on a plan.)
Kuroji: How about we put a hidden snake toy in the common room and watch their reactions when they come across it?
Kurohebi: (grinning) That sounds perfect! It'll be a harmless scare. Let's make sure to capture their reactions on camera too. It'll be a memorable moment.
(The duo prepares the hidden snake toy, carefully placing it in a hidden spot in the common room. They set up a hidden camera, ready to capture the unsuspecting victims.)
Kuroji: Now, we wait for the perfect moment. Let's see who falls for our little prank.
(As Kuroji and Kurohebi eagerly anticipate the arrival of their friends, the atmosphere in the dorm room fills with excitement and a mischievous energy.)
Chapter 4: A Curious Encounter
(Scene: Campus grounds, Sumireko wandering around, looking perplexed and slightly lost.)
Sumireko: (muttering to herself) This place is so strange. How did I end up here? And what's with all these peculiar students?
(As Sumireko continues her aimless wandering, her curiosity leads her to the common room. She enters cautiously, unaware of the hidden snake prank awaiting her.)
Sumireko: Hm, this seems like a cozy place. Maybe I'll find some answers here.
(Just as Sumireko takes a few steps into the room, she suddenly spots something out of the corner of her eye.)
Sumireko: (startled) Huh? What's that? A snake?
(Unbeknownst to Sumireko, it's actually the hidden snake toy set up by Kuroji and Kurohebi. The toy springs forward, creating the illusion of a real snake.)
Sumireko: (screaming) Ahhh! A snake!
(Sumireko jumps back in surprise, her heart racing. Meanwhile, Kuroji and Kurohebi, hiding nearby, watch with excitement as their prank unfolds.)
Kuroji: (whispering) Did you see that? She fell for it!
Kurohebi: (grinning) It worked perfectly! Let's hope the camera caught her reaction.
(As Sumireko catches her breath, she soon realizes that the snake was merely a toy. She looks around, feeling a mixture of relief and embarrassment.)
Sumireko: (blushing) Oh, it was just a prank. They got me good.
(Just then, Kuroji and Kurohebi step out from their hiding spot, trying to contain their laughter.)
Kuroji: (smiling) Sorry about that, Sumireko. It was just a harmless prank. We couldn't resist.
Kurohebi: Yeah, we thought it would be funny to see your reaction. We hope you're not too upset.
Sumireko: (grinning) Well, I have to admit, it did catch me off guard. I guess I needed a little excitement today. Nicely played, you two.
(The tension eases, and Sumireko joins Kuroji and Kurohebi in a laugh. The trio begins chatting, exchanging stories, and finding common ground.)
Chapter 5: An Unexpected Encounter
(Scene: Principal's office, Sumireko entering with a determined expression. Garaiya Ogata, the vice principal, sits at their desk, engrossed in paperwork.)
Sumireko: (knocking on the door) Excuse me, is Principal Tsurubami available? I have some questions and concerns.
Garaiya: (looking up from their work) Ah, hello there. Principal Tsurubami is currently in a meeting, but I can assist you. I'm Vice Principal Garaiya Ogata. How can I help you?
(Sumireko steps further into the office, her eyes scanning the room filled with books and paperwork.)
Sumireko: Nice to meet you, Vice Principal Ogata. I'm Sumireko Usami, and I'm actually not a student here. I somehow ended up in this place, and I'm trying to figure out how to get back to where I came from.
Garaiya: (raising an eyebrow) Ah, an unexpected visitor then. Mugenri High is a rather unique place, after all. I'm afraid I don't have all the answers, but I'll do my best to assist you.
(Sumireko takes a seat in front of Garaiya's desk, a mix of curiosity and apprehension on her face.)
Sumireko: Thank you, Vice Principal Ogata. I appreciate any help or information you can provide. This place is unlike anything I've ever encountered, and I'm quite intrigued.
Garaiya: (smiling warmly) Mugenri High does have its share of mysteries and peculiarities. While I can't promise immediate answers, I can offer guidance and perhaps shed some light on your situation. Please feel free to ask me anything.
(Sumireko takes a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before speaking.)
Sumireko: Well, first, do you have any knowledge of unusual phenomena or incidents occurring around here? Anything that could explain how I ended up in this world?
(Garaiya leans back in their chair, contemplating Sumireko's question.)
Garaiya: Mugenri is indeed a place where extraordinary occurrences take place. We've had students and visitors with extraordinary abilities, encounters with otherworldly entities, and even instances of time and space distortions. While I can't pinpoint the exact cause of your arrival, I can assure you that you're not alone in experiencing the unexpected here.
(Sumireko listens attentively, a glimmer of hope in her eyes.)
Sumireko: I see. So, this place is like a nexus of supernatural events. That could explain a lot. I guess I'll have to embrace the unknown and explore further.
Garaiya: Indeed, Sumireko. Sometimes, it's through exploration and embracing the mysteries that we find the answers we seek. If there's anything else I can do to assist you on your journey, please don't hesitate to ask.
(Sumireko offers a nod of gratitude, feeling a renewed sense of determination.)
Sumireko: Thank you, Vice Principal Ogata. I'll make the most of my time here and uncover the secrets of Mugenri High. I won't let this opportunity go to waste.
(The conversation concludes, leaving Sumireko with a newfound sense of purpose. As she leaves the office, Garaiya watches her with a gentle smile, hoping that her journey in Mugenri will lead to the answers she seeks.)
Chapter 6: Shadows of the Past
(Scene: Mugenri High courtyard, students gathering for an after-school event. The atmosphere is lively as everyone anticipates the upcoming activities.)
(Among the crowd, Yabusame, Tsubakura, and the other students are chatting and preparing for the event. Yabusame, with their usual carefree demeanor, seems excited about the festivities.)
Yabusame: (grinning) Can't wait for the after-school event! It's going to be a blast, right, everyone?
Tsubakura: (leaning against a tree, arms crossed) As long as it doesn't involve too much effort, count me in.
(Haru approaches the group, a slight hint of nervousness on her face.)
Haru: Um, excuse me. Can I join in the after-school event as well? I'd like to participate and get to know everyone better.
(Aoji, who was standing nearby, overhears Haru's question and interjects.)
Aoji: (in a soft voice) Of course you can, Haru. We'd be happy to have you join us. It's a great opportunity to bond with classmates.
(Haru smiles gratefully at Aoji, feeling a sense of acceptance.)
Haru: Thank you, Aoji. I appreciate your kindness.
(Yago, who was selling weaponry nearby, chimes in with a mischievous smirk.)
Yago: You know, the after-school event is also a chance to showcase some of my latest merchandise. Care to take a look, Haru?
(Haru's eyes widen with curiosity, intrigued by Yago's offer.)
Haru: That sounds interesting. I'd love to see what you have to offer, Yago.
(As the group continues their conversation, a shadowy figure watches from a distance. It's Clause, their expression filled with determination.)
Clause: (whispering to themselves) This after-school event will be the perfect opportunity to show everyone what I'm capable of. It's time to turn the tables and make them realize my worth.
(With a newfound resolve, Clause starts making their preparations for the event, their mind set on proving themselves to their classmates.)

I need money.
I need lots of money.
I need money for free.
My dad has Alzheimer's and it's getting worse pretty can't be left alone. I can't really do a second job or even overtime at my current job. I can barely handle the 40 hours I'm doing already. My mom also has a number of health issues and I'm helping to take care of both of them. Plus my own issues. Living with IBS makes it hard for me to want to leave the house. I've also got a pinched nerve in the back that makes walking or even standing for long periods of time painful. So again, working more doesn't seem like an option.
My family is drowning in debt. And I keep using my credit cards to help them out of various crisises. But then I can't afford to pay off the cards after I do that. So I'm drowning in debt now to.
Most recently my dad got a hold of my mom's car keys. Within minutes of leaving the house he rear-ended another car. And we didn't have insurance at the time. So it's very likely that the insurance of the other driver could sue us. I don't know what they could possibly take. Neither of my parents are working, they're both on disability which I think is exempt from being sued. We have no assets besides the house. Which has two mortgages against it. And I was told that homes are also typically exempt from being sued. So for lucky, we're too poor to suffer consequences. Plus, he totaled the car. We can't afford repairs. Can't afford another car. I can't afford the extra wear and tear it's going to put on my car driving my family around now that it's all that we have.
But it is endlessly frustrating living in America. Feels like our society is designed to keep you poor. We are constantly bombarded with late fees and overdraft fees and various penalty fees. There was a problem with our mortgage not too long ago and the only way to get back on track was to have what they called a balloon payment every month. Because we couldn't afford the pay them they are now charging us double every month for like 6 months.
I need a shit ton of money.
And whenever I talk like this to other people, whenever I'm just venting, a lot of people say the same things. They say save up. You over time. Find a better paying job. Etc. And I keep saying that the problem isn't that I don't have enough money. The problem is that everything in the world costs too much. Like I just said, late fees and penalty fees and all of that. If I got a better paying job, it would only give me more for other people to take from me.
And what kind of better pay could I even get? Like I just said I can barely leave my house and I can barely stand up. I don't have any special skills or training. I'm already making close to 23 an hour. Which isn't bad. And as far as contract security work goes, I am at the highest paid contract in my area.
I'll say it again, it is exhausting to live in this country. Disheartening. Can't even save enough to leave this country.
Feeling trapped all the time. And I know that a lot of, if not all of my troubles would go away if I just abandoned my parents. I'm not under any kind of legal obligation to look after them. But I also know that if I left, my mom would be dead within a few months. Either from the stress of dealing with my dad by herself, or she'd kill herself. Something she threatens on a regular basis. Or, if she does somehow survive longer than I expect, they'd lose the house from not being able to pay the mortgage. They couldn't afford any of the bills without the little bit of help I offer. I couldn't have that on my conscious.
But it would be nice to have a winning lottery ticket. I'm not even asking for millions here. Just like 20,000 on a scratch off could be enough to get me closer to having my head above water. 20,000 wouldn't even be enough for absolutely everything but it would be a huge help.
I'm just rambling. Just venting. I don't know how anybody does it in America.

The painting on my desk
So, in september of 2021, I went to a fantasy festival and bought a painting. It was by Paul Yperman, a french artist who attends multipe of these kinds of festivals and events all throughout europe and whose work i've been a fan of ever since i first saw it, on that same festival years earlier.
Here's some of his work (and his facebook https://www.instagram.com/ypermanpaul/?hl=en from what i know he sells his work online too, through facebook. So if you live in europe i highly recommend it)
As a younger teenager i'd bought the cheapest item in his shop, a small framed painting on paper, about a5 size, it cost about 10 euros at the time. It stil stands in my childhood bedroom, on my desk. But this time, i was older, i'd had a parttime job or a while, and i could afford an actual canvas piece.
My handbag was my grandmother's old one, she had jsut died and this was the first time i'm using it after my grandfather gave it to me. its smell reminded me of her. it had two facemasks in it that smelled like her too. I wore one, even though that's probably not hygienic. I gave the other one to a stranger who forgot his and couldn't enter the bus without one. It wasn't covid that killed her, it was probably fine. Maybe. When the smell faded i kind of regretted giving that second one away.
There was a painting in my grandparents' house of an old traditional windmill in their town that doens't exist anymore. My grandmother loved windmills, my father told me on the day of her funeral that she was delighted when the town they moved to, my childhood home, was in walking distance of more than 5.
It took me more than 20 minutes to choose a painting of Paul Yperman to buy. I'd wanted this for so long, and they're also beautiful. i'd gotten it down to two when i saw something in the corner of my eye. This one had a windmill on it.
That's the one i bought.
I carried it back home with me wrapped in paper, put it on my lap in the train and bus (it was tall enough that i could not see past it when i did that) and watched my every step, scared to death that something would happen to it.
It got home unscathed. but, because i was renting my student appartment, and didn't know if i was allowed to drill any holes in the walls, and didn't have anything for alternative options on hand, I didn't hang it, just unpacked it and set in on my desk, which was also my dining table, against the wall.
And it stayed there. I learned i was allowed to drill in the walls, and it stayed there. I discussed methods and placements with my parents, and it stayed there. I ate my dinner carefully to not splash any food or grease on it. It stayed there. I failed every single exam i took that year, and it stayed there. Like a momument to my executive dysfunction. Can't study, flake on the sport lessons my parents are paying for until the trainers text me worried if somethign happened to me (I don't answer. I don't tell my parents either.) don't hang the painting. I end the year technically allowed to continue my study, because in my country's system after you pass your first year you can take however long you like, but when i tell a study advisor i'm considering switching he tells me that's a good idea, because clearly this isn't working.
So i move back home, i go to a school that's only a one hour trip away, just short enough to make every day. I'm too scared to completely give up and don't officially move out of the appartment, just hire it out to another student. So all the furniture stays. But the painting comes home with me.
I ruin it immediately, i fail my first period at my new study so bad it is now by all accounts impossible for me to pass the whole year. I never actually unregistered from the old one, unable to let go, as i said. That turns out to have been the right decision. The student who was renting my room finds another place, I move back in. I'll have to make it work, somehow.
I pass my first exam there, i just barely fail the second, but last year for that very same exam i sat at my table for half an hour before turning in an empty answer sheet and leaving without making eye contact with the examinator, so let's call it an improvement. My therapist when i came in last time told me i was noticably more relaxed and comfortable.
I'm eating my dinner and wondering why, when everything is going much better than last time, does cooking and eating feel less fun.
And I look up and I realize
The painting stayed back home.
I convinced my mom to hang it in our living room a short few weeks before i stopped lying to her and admitted i was failing.
I am staring at my wall and i realize that i didn't look at it at all when i went back this weekend. For all that I hated myself for not properly hanging it up and what that meant about me whenever I saw it, it was a really beautiful painting. One i'd been planning for a full year to buy. One that i loved, that made eating my dinner alone less lonely.
Before it was on the living room wall back in my childhood home, it was back in that same old paper packaging i carried it home in ( I never actualy threw that away) standing in a corner of my bedroom. That exact space is now occupied by two old paintings from my grandparent's home. One of them is the one with the windmill. My grandfather isn't alive anymore either. They died 8 months apart. He wasn't there to offer me anything of his so from the attic i took an old school diary from his student days, where half the pages were falling out. And the paintings, of course. Since then, i've taken up bookbinding.
I am still looking at my empty wall.
I'd considered hanging it above my bed last year, to make the wall i saw first thing in the morning a bit livelier.
I've changed my mind. I want to hang it right above the my desk. With the other painting of the windmill next to it. they'll clash, the colors don't fit together. I don't care.
I'll have to make it work, somehow

"Sick leave" - Yandere!Billy Russo x Reader
[TW: yandere trope/obsessive behavior + drug/medicine abuse + talk of murder and corpses + insults + nightmare]
SUMMARY: He didn't want you to go out with that guy, obviously. And you weren't open to his criticism, which left Billy with only one option - a necessary evil but he needed to buy himself some time, somehow. Where did he get paroxetine anyway?
Previously on Yandere!Billy Russo: ['There's something in the shadows'] ['Moving houses'] ['The art of deception']
Author's note: The fact that I have fun writing unhinged characters might not be a healthy thing lmao. This is getting progressively worse in the best possible way y'all
Continuation: ['Boobytraps']
He was livid and mainly because he was jealous, silently eating his breakfast as he watched you, too happy for his liking.
"Will that be too much for a casual dinner?" you asked him. Billy had a vague idea that you were talking about your clothes but was too busy brooding to pay attention to anything that you have been saying for the past 10 minutes.
"You worry too much, (Y/N)," he answered in the calmest tone he was able to produce. "It's gon' be fine."
"I haven't been on a date in months, I feel like I'm a schoolgirl again." Billy didn't want to admit that he was the sole reason none of your dates have worked out since you met him because then he would have only himself to blame for this entire situation and the anger that made foam form at his lips.
He wanted to punch something. Someone, preferably. You were so bright, giddy and happy, worried about what to wear, what makeup to do and what perfume to use and none of it was for him but for some whatshisface, who was probably just a troglodyte unable to see past your gorgeous face. Billy wanted to scream, kick and devastate whatever he could to take out the jealousy that boiled inside him. He was taking care of you, making you happy, getting rid of all the distractions separating you two and your undivided attention, as well as affection, were to be shoved into some stranger's hands. Unacceptable! Suddenly, Billy felt the urge to throw up thinking about you and your date being closer than six feet apart. He already planned to get rid of that audacious chimpanzee you were going out with but first, he needed the time to carry out his plan without raising your suspicion.
Suddenly, your phone started ringing from the bedroom and Billy was a breath away from believing in some higher power rooting for him.
"If it's Carol asking me to cover for her again, I'm going to throw hands, I swear to God," you said more to yourself than to him as you walked towards the bedroom, leaving the dress you wanted to wear hanging over the back of the chair you were sitting in before.
Billy watched as you disappeared behind the corner and, with exceptional speed, pulled out a small bottle of medicine from his pocket. Paroxetine. Carefully, he put two of those pink pills into your hot coffee, stirring the drink with the unused end of his knife. When you came back into the kitchen, there was no indication he had done something not quite correct. Billy's eyes trailed your movements as you took a sip of your coffee, frantically messaging someone with irritation. You haven't noticed anything weird about your drink. He smiled, knowing that his plan was going to work out.
"What?" you asked noticing the sudden change in his expression. "What's so funny?"
"I'm happy seeing you happy, sweetheart," he answered innocently. It wasn't exactly a lie, just not the whole truth.
"I'll drink to that," you joked and downed the rest of your coffee. Billy finished his breakfast completely content. He always gets what he wants.
"Hey, Billy," you dragged out the last syllable of his name. Something about you whining out his name made his heart do backflips while simultaneously his pants became a little tighter. The pout on your face made his conflicting sensations only stronger. "Can you check my temperature? I feel weird and not the fun kind."
"You can just text him you've changed your mind, you know?" he joked while putting the back of his hand against your forehead, almost missing the quiet 'not funny, Bill' you mumbled under your nose. Of course you didn't have a fever, he didn't need to check. The medicine has started to work as he had expected and that meant he could carry out the main part of his plan: "whatshisface goes down" or something like that.
"Just when I score a date with a hot guy I get sick." Billy thought your groan was adorable but wanted to tear apart his house hearing that you called someone who wasn't him 'hot'.
"Get some rest, darlin'," he said while fighting back the burning urge to kiss your forehead, although he knew you well enough to know that you wouldn't mind. It was more of a survival instinct that made him stop himself: if he indulges, just a little, there was no telling how much deeper the chasm of his obsessive madness will get and lack of control was something Billy feared more than anything. If he places his lips against your skin once, he wasn't sure he would have the strength to stop himself.
Billy waited until you were asleep to block your would-be date's number and left the apartment knowing that his whole operation had to be fit into 3 hours to not raise suspicion. He set his watch to count down from 180 minutes.
Although it wasn't the first time he dug a hole, it was definitely the first time he had to dig a grave and twice as deep, which was even harder considering that the dirt in the forest was damp, making it significantly heavier. To any possible observators, it would be quite impressive how effortlessly he threw the corpse into the hole. Then he covered the bagged body with a deer carcass, to throw off the tracking dogs if anyone actually cared enough about that guy to call the police.
"Serves you right," Billy said triumphantly to the corpse before he buried the body for good.
When he arrived home, twelve minutes before his timer ends, you were still in bed but not asleep anymore. Your body looked pathetically tiny, all curled up on his bed. He really wanted to get in there, lay with his arms around you but if you were to believe you were sick, he couldn't. There was a glass of water and some Advil on the bedside table.
"Feelin' better?" he asked. There was still some dirt on his fingers.
"No." Your sultry answer was barely audible from underneath the covers.
You woke up with sweat running down your body, damping your pajamas. The images from your nightmares were still fresh in your memory, flashes of horrifying scenes appearing whenever you closed your eyes: everyone who has left your life in the past few months suddenly reappearing and taking their sweet but sick revenge on you as if their sudden absence was completely your fault.
Feeling absolutely lost and confused in your terror and imagined guilt, you rubbed your eyes and sat up on the bed. Light from the streetlamps crept into the bedroom through the window, not seeming romantic anymore but very unsettling. Suddenly, the room felt very big, very lonely and impossibly dark, walls closing in on you and threatening to suffocate you. The closet door stood horrifyingly still as if waiting for the moment you look away to be opened by a creature too inhumanly terrifying to be comprehended by a human mind. You felt yourself jump at every creak that reached your ears. Tears of panic were stinging your eyes when you left the bed and, shaking slightly, hastily made your way to the living room where Billy slept.
You didn't want to be alone. Not after what you have seen in your nightmare.
"Hey, Billy," you whispered to him, your voice trembling slightly. He stirred awake almost immediately. Were all ex-marines light sleepers? "Sorry for waking you up but...I had a nightmare and I don't want to be alone."
Yes, that was mentioned on the bottle of paroxetine.
"Come 'ere," he said groggily as he pulled back the blanket he slept under, pretending as if your fearful voice didn't make him go absolutely feral inside. Whatever got you into such headspace, deserved to die in the most gruesome of ways.
But there was something positive in this 'unfortunate' occurence. You came to him looking for comfort. Maybe there is some higher power rooting for Billy, after all.
"Sorry for waking you up," you repeated as you crawled under the blanket, curling up on top of him. You were so small and vulnerable, he could do anything to you at that moment and it riled him up pretty badly. Billy's hands wrapped around you and he was about to burst feeling your cheek against his chest. It was the happiest moment of his life. You thought to yourself that for a lean man, he was very comfortable to lay on. "I'm probably gonna make you sick, so sorry for that too."
"Just get some sleep, princess. I've got you," he said quietly as he gently rubbed your back as if he was afraid that the moment would fade away, like a dream of a lover, should he make a more aggressive gesture. It felt absolutely right to Billy to have you in his arms, the safest and warmest place he could think of. The fact that you came to him looking for comfort was but a symptom of your growing affection towards him. Did you feel safer with him around? Was he the person you thought of going to when you have a problem? Was he the man you felt like you could depend on? Billy happily entertained the thought of you slowly realizing that no one can ever love you as much as he does.
He always got what he wanted and tonight he made two scores for the price of one.

Okay okay, now I’m dying to hear some of your Merlin headcanons :)
ohhh merlin hm, given that he's like, the protagonist, we know a lot about him already but I'll gladly give it a go!!
- I said once how you should never let Minho into a kitchen, and with Merlin it's even worse. Like this guy will manage to slip if he doesn't cut his hand off before or burn his whole damn arm. He is a mess and I am 200% certain that he will die. Keep away. Do not let in.
- It's a good thing they don't have coffee in Camelot because I'm convinced that Merlin cannot drink anything with more flavour than juice. Like, don't give this boy ale, don't serve him tea, he will not survive. He's stupid and naively courageous and somehow still alive after like 60 adventures and quests with Arthur but if you put coffee in front of him that will absolutely be his end.
- What really caught me off guard at some point was in the episode with Lancelot’s sacrifice, when Lancelot wakes up at the sea river thing there and Merlin’s actually supposed to be half dead but instead he’s fine and up and catching fish.
Where the fuck did he learn how to do that? In what universe did anyone teach Merlin how to catch fish in a river??? Who thought that would be a skill he needs to have? Like yes it’s helpful that he can do that but how and why is he so good at it??
- Gaius cuts his hair. I felt the need to talk about this because in four seasons, Merlin’s hair has not changed even once, which means that at some point someone must’ve cut his hair and it surely wasn’t him doing it himself because then we would indeed have had a huge change (and probably an episode of Arthur just mocking him). And I mean, with stitching and everything Gaius needs to have calm, not shaky hands in any and every situation and for medicine making and stuff he needs to be able to measure even by looking at ingredients soooo he would be perfectly suited to cut Merlin’s hair. Which he does now in my version of the story.
- He uses magic for everything and anything and I mean like, that's fair, if I had magic I probably would as well. But it doesn't matter where he goes and what the fuck he does, he uses his magic to save the day. Even if that means literally just un-burning the soup he forgot on top of the campfire or brushing his hair.
- Gwaine has stolen his stuff multiple times now. And not even in a “I’m just gonna sneakily take it” nor in a “I’ll make it obvious so that he can take it back because it’s just a prank” way, no, really he just takes something out of his pockets and pretends like it’s his. Let me set the scene: So Merlin just got two pieces of gold from Gaius as a birthday present like, say, last week. He keeps them in the pocket of his jacket. Now they’re on an adventure with the knights and the king and Gwaine is happily walking next to him just talking. Fast forward a day when they come back, Merlin’s pocket is empty. Gwaine meanwhile spent the whole journey back flicking a coin up in the air and daring everyone else to a game of heads or tails, even Merlin himself. Of course he could not have known that was his coin because, well, coins look the same, but Merlin sweetheart, over the past two years in which you’ve known Gwaine, when did he ever have money, and where’s the coin in your pockets gone? I’d go check on him and try to get my money back before he’s used it to pay seven ales for pretty people at a tavern.
- If he ever buys or gets new clothing, it looks exactly like the old stuff he wore despite the fact that it’s new. This could have many reasons and probably it’s because Merlin has negative twenty knowledge of fashion and would look ridiculous 99% of the time if he had any more options, and also probably because he’s gonna lose it and then part of his outfits would just be fucking missing. No one wants to take that risk.
ookay that’s fairly few and one of them is more like, gwaine, lmao, but hey how could i possibly create headcanons without including him

[a/n]: I GOT SO CARRIED AWAY FOR THE FLASHBACK PART OF THIS OML I'M SORRY FOR THE CHAOS AND MESS BUT I HOPE YOU ENJOY
Hey there it's good to see you again,
It never felt right calling this "just friends".
I'm happy, if you're happy, with yourself.
"Isn't that Yedam?" your friend, sat beside you, asks. They point to somewhere behind your head, and naturally, you turn around to follow their finger with your eyes.
As the doors to the lecture hall swing shut, a familiar boy begins to walk quickly down the steps. While grinning, he decides on a spot near the back, far away from your almost front-row seat. You let out the breath you didn't realize you were holding and face the front.
"Since when did he go to our university?" your friend asks, also facing the front now.
"I have no clue," you admit.
You'd purposely accepted an offer at a faraway university to avoid having to see Yedam ever again after high school. High school had become one of the worst times of your life thanks to him.

Yedam's pov
As soon as I enter the hall, I find [y/n] with my eyes immediately. They look at me with a mix of shock, disgust and hatred, but seeing them fills me with so much joy that I can't help but smile.
Deciding not to bother them, I pick a spot near the back and sit down. I wonder to myself if switching to [y/n]'s school was the right choice...
-
[y/n]'s pov
It was obvious you were too much for me.
Oblivious, I was young
Back in high school, you had the fattest crush on one of the school's most popular kids, and you hated yourself for it. It wasn't like you could control your feelings... but your heart was set on him. His smile made you feel so warm and you felt happy despite him not having the slightest clue who you were. You always watched him from afar, peering at him as he walked into the classroom while waving at all of his friends before taking a seat at the back.
By some chance, you got paired with him for an assignment. You thought he would be disappointed, since he had never spoken to you, but contrary to his somewhat intimidating aura as a result of him being a popular kid, he smiled warmly at you as you introduced yourself.
"I know you're [y/n]," he said quietly, looking down at the assignment instructions in front of him.
"How do you know?" you asked him.
He looked up and leaned in closer to you to whisper into your ear, only after being sure that no one was watching.
"It may not seem like it, but I do know my classmates."
When he moved back, he flashed you a grin before returning to the assignment instructions again. Your heartbeat was flooding your ears.
After meeting up several times to do the research and plan out the presentation together, you and Yedam somehow grew closer. You had always thought he was some sort of chic, cool guy, but he turned out to be super soft and sweet. The two of you laughed at each other's dumb jokes and procrastinated late into the night sometimes, only beginning your work when the café was about to close.
On one of those days, Yedam asked if you wanted to go to his place to finish the assignment.
"It's due in two weeks and we still have so much to do... plus we're so busy that we can only meet once a week," he explained, pouting slightly.
You agreed, feeling somewhat nervous and excited at the prospect of going to your crush's house for the first time.
His parents were home but asleep as it was late for them, so the two of you quietly went to his room.
In-between muffled giggles and late-night snacks, the two of you managed to get a lot of work done before you felt as though you'd hit your limit. After yawning and stretching, you told Yedam that it was time you went home.
"Do you live far from here?" he asked you.
You, in fact, did live quite far from his house, but you felt bad telling him this, so you lied and told him you lived close by.
He pouted and looked down.
"I was going to ask if you wanted to just sleep here... but I guess it makes sense for you to go home," he said, helping you pack up your things.
Yedam... wanted you to stay the night? How could you miss such an opportunity! Your crush! Wanted you to stay the night!!
Yedam noticed that you'd stopped moving, holding your pencil case in your hand as you thought about what to say.
"Is everything okay?" he asked you.
"Yeah... I actually... live kind of far," you mumbled, not wanting him to get mad at you for lying.
"You do? Then why did you say you live close by?" he asked, also taking his hands away from your backpack.
"I didn't want you to walk me home or anything," you explained. Yedam smiled at you, shaking his head.
"Don't worry about it now... do you have any clothes to change into?"
"Just my gym clothes... but they're dirty," you told him, shyly.
"Do you want to take something of mine to wear?" he asked you, already standing up to look through his closet without waiting for your answer.
You were going to say no, again, not wanting to bother him, but he had already pulled out some of his comfier clothes for you to wear.
After changing into them and walking back into his room, you avoided Yedam's eyes as he quietly lost his mind over how cute you looked.
"Um, so..." Yedam started, scratching the back of his neck.
"Would you be okay with sleeping in my bed? I'll go sleep in the livingroom-"
"No, no! I'll go sleep there-"
"No, I can't let a guest sleep on the couch!"
Both of you sighed, not being able to win against one another.
"Listen, it's either you sleep in my room and I go to the livingroom, or we both sleep in my bed," he said, pointing to his bed behind you.
You froze, trying to consider your options as your heartbeat grew louder.
"Well... I guess we're both sleeping here then," you said, in a tone that tried to sound confident but was a little shaky.
You plopped yourself face first into the bed to hide from your embarrassment, feeling the bed shift a few seconds later as Yedam joined you.
"Scooch over towards the wall. I'll sleep on this side so you won't fall off the bed at night," he said, pointing to the side of his bed that faced the rest of his room. You smiled at Yedam's kind gesture as you moved over.
He had turned off the light and it was dark now, and both of you lay side-by-side on your backs, staring up at the ceiling.
"Are you... asleep?" he asked you quietly a while later. You shook your head at first, but then realized he couldn't see you. So you said a quiet "no".
You felt Yedam shift as he turned to face you. You carefully turned your head towards him too, wondering what he was up to. It was hard to see in the dark, but he was just admiring your face. You looked away, feeling embarrassed, until you felt him shuffling closer to you.
It was a little nerve-wracking watching his figure tower over you in the dark. Blinking up at him, you parted your lips to ask him what he was doing, but he spoke first.
"Am I allowed to... kiss you?" he asked, quietly looking down at you.
Yedam... wants to ???? Your crush wanted-
You found yourself nodding before your thoughts could entirely be processed, and watched as Yedam lowered himself onto you with a small smile. His heart soared as he watched your reaction -- your eyes were squeezed shut so tightly out of nervousness.
Before his soft lips met yours, he found your hand under the blankets and held it in an attempt to ease you of your nervousness. He didn't know that it only made your stomach feel the effects even more intensely.
Your lips touched for only a moment, but it felt like a whole eternity. When he pulled away, he moved off of you quickly and shuffled over to his side of the bed again.
"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry," he mumbled, looking away from you. You were confused.
"What's wrong?" you asked him.
"I... I was supposed to tell you I like you first but then now you're right beside me--wait not that I like you... wait I mean I do, but I didn't want to tell you like this--"
Hearing his unsure confession was all the confidence you needed to pull him closer, accidentally tightening his hoodie strings as you pulled him in to carefully press your lips against his again. He completely melted into your hands, then, wrapping an arm around your back and holding you close.
That was probably one of the last good memories you have of him.
After that, Yedam turned into a different person the next morning, avoiding your eyes and missing any trace of a smile on his face as he pushed a plate of breakfast towards you.
"Let's not walk to school together, okay? I'll be leaving first," he told you, leaving you alone in his own house.
You had no clue what was going on and no appetite to eat. After waiting a few minutes, you walked to school after him. You had no idea how to even get to school from his house, so after getting lost and arriving late, you finally managed to make it.
When you tried to approach him in class, he would turn his back on you and ignore you. It made you feel so small that you stopped even trying.
It was really hard for you to show up to school after that, because of how terrible you felt, but you still tried your best. Your friends knew something was wrong and they did their best to help you, but it didn't stop you from thinking about Yedam and why he was acting so strangely.
Until he texted you one day in the middle of class, asking you to meet him in an empty classroom.
You told yourself you shouldn't pay him any attention, especially after he ghosted you like that, but you still followed after him, curious to see what excuse he would give you.
In the classroom, you couldn't see anyone, so you thought Yedam hadn't arrived yet until you heard him call out your name from behind a file cabinet. By the windows.
"Come here, [y/n]," he said, motioning for you to approach him. He was smiling at you again, just like he did on those days when you'd study with him in the café. You told yourself to just turn around and leave, but your feet guided you to him.
You frowned up at him.
"What the heck have you been doing?" you asked him, tears already threatening to leave your eyes.
"[y/n], I-I'm sorry... you know how it is for me, with my popular reputation. Some kids saw us at the café and posted pictures of us, saying that I was going around dating a loser-"
He was holding onto your hands while wearing a pitiful expression, but you coldly pushed him away after hearing him out.
"So you've been acting weird because I'm tainting your reputation? Yedam, we never even dated! You gave me some... half-assed confession and... kissed me in the middle of the night and then ghosted me," you told him, sternly.
"I know, I'm sorry... It's so pathetic but I really do like you... I'm just really bad at this, I know, but I'm telling you now I like you-"
"In an empty classroom. Behind a file cabinet."
"Please, [y/n]. Date me for real... I promise I won't let you down."
You and your kind, innocent heart believed his promise. You believed him because his eyes were sparkling and he was holding onto you so tightly.
Yedam told you that you had to date him in secret, and that was just one of many red flags. He explained that if his friends found out, he would be teased and you would be hurt by their words, too. Nonetheless, you agreed. At school, you never spoke to him. All you got were stolen glances, Yedam winking at you every time you turned around in your seat. Somehow, that was enough to make your heart flutter.
You could only see each other in each other's homes, since even the risk of being caught out on a date was too much for Yedam to handle. The two of you would intertwine hands while watching a movie. You'd rest your head on Yedam's shoulder, or sometimes he would rest his head in your lap and you would gently stroke his hair, watching as his eyes squeezed shut tightly while he indulged in the feeling of your love.
Sometimes the two of you would listen to music together, quietly sharing earphones while staring out the window.
Sometimes you would just talk for hours into the night.
Yedam's smile would never leave his face when he was with you.
Except for when he was at school.
And you could handle it. At least you thought you could, until the final straw.
For Yedam's birthday, a few of his friends had gathered in his home, celebrating. You were also invited, of course, after you begged Yedam to let you come. He had told his friends that he invited you as a gesture of thanks for working on the assignment with him... it broke your heart to hear this lie, but you shrugged it off, again.
Everyone was feeling excited as they all started a game of spin-the-bottle. You felt incredibly out of place and already angry, even more so upon seeing a girl getting all handsy with Yedam, stroking his thigh with her hand and playing with his hair. She was constantly glued to him, but you shrugged it off, again.
After the bottle's mouth faced Yedam, the girl beside him dared him to kiss someone. How childish, you thought to yourself. You watched as Yedam locked eyes with you and started to stand up, making his way towards you with a small smile, but the girl beside him stopped him.
"Where are you going, damie? Isn't it me who you should kiss?"
Yedam looked back at her and then at you.
"I-"
"C'mon, it's your birthday!" she said, dragging him back down.
That literally is not an excuse and makes no sense, you scoffed to yourself, rolling your eyes.
The next few moments were a blur, but Yedam ended up kissing her and you felt like a piece of paper being torn in two. We can't even look at each other in public, you thought to yourself. You fought back tears and got up to leave. No one seemed to mind or care about where you were going, since none of these people were your friends anyway. Even Yedam was preoccupied, his lips on the mouth of this other girl.
You couldn't just shrug things off anymore. This was it. Now, it was your turn to ghost Yedam.
You hadn't told him, but your family were planning to move to another city soon. You told them to plan the move for earlier so you could leave that dreaded place and leave Yedam. Ignoring all his calls and texts, you transferred out the next week, and that was that.
-
I'm gonna break down these walls, I built around myself.
I wanna fall so in love, with you, and no one else,
Could ever mean half as much, to me as you do now.
Together we'll move on, just don't turn around,
Let the walls break down.
You can't focus in lecture as everything that happened with Yedam flashes before your eyes. Just as you're starting to live a normal life without him, he has to show up and allow of the trauma to resurface.
As soon as your class ends, you quickly pack your bags. Your friend does the same, understanding exactly what is going on. But it seems like Yedam and his feet move a little faster.
Just as you're about to leave your row, you look up to find Yedam standing at the end of it, a small smile on his face.
You sigh and turn around, telling your friend to do the same so you can leave through the other side. But Yedam just follows behind you quietly. He doesn't say a word and just follows you as you and your friend as you leave the lecture hall to go to your next class.
Suddenly, you stop. Your friend and Yedam stop, too.
You turn around, your fist clenched into a tight ball.
"Yedam, can you please stop following me? Do you not have classes of your own or things to do? Please leave me alone," you told him, turning your back on him again and walking forward.
Your friend didn't follow you, though, but looked back and forth between you and Yedam. So lost in your thoughts, you walk to class on your own, not noticing that your friend isn't following you.

Yedam's pov
After they say those words and leave, I feel my heart breaking in two. Of course I know how much I've hurt [y/n], but their words make me realize that I'll never be able to completely understand. I almost start crying right there and then...
"Yedam, right?" their friend asks me. I look at them and nod, confused.
"Listen, [y/n] hates your guts. They're not going to talk to you and hear you out, so I'll do it instead. I know [y/n] might regret it if they don't hear you out, even if they don't want to."
I smile at [y/n]'s friend. That sounds exactly like [y/n]...
"You've probably heard a lot of awful things about me, and it's all true. But... [y/n] probably didn't tell you about those nights we spent in each other's rooms... the times that we did get to spend with each other alone.... sorry, what I'm trying to say is that I've always loved [y/n]. Not even 'like', but I've always loved them. And I don't think I'll be able to stop... I know I was such a terrible boyfriend back then. I don't think I can say I even was much of a boyfriend... but I've changed. I can promise that I've changed. I know it must be so arrogant of me to ask if they'll give me another chance but..."
I trail off, my brain shutting down as I struggle to find anymore words to express myself. [y/n]'s friend nods after I trail off.
"I see... well, I've heard about your promises. I heard they couldn't be trusted but if you've changed, then maybe that has changed, too. [y/n] has a really kind heart, but I won't let them date a jerk ever again. So unless we both know for sure that you're different now, we are not letting you date them."
With that, [y/n]'s friend walks away and leaves me there.
-
[y/n]'s pov
In class, you feel completely empty, unsure of how to feel. You only notice that your friend had not been beside you this entire time when they take a seat in the spot beside you, apologizing that they're late.
"Where were you?" you ask them, looking up as they sit down.
"I was talking to Yedam," your friend tells you, never one to lie.
Your face fills with disgust at the mention of his name.
"Why would you do that?" you whisper loudly, causing some heads in the lecture hall to turn your way. You mumble an apology before returning to your friend.
"I wanted to hear him out," they say, casually opening up their notes.
"What did he say?"
"So you are interested, huh?" they ask you, teasing.
"No, I'm not!"
"I know, calm down! He just said something along the lines of how he's always loved you and does now, too, and that he's changed--"
"That is the most garbage thing I've ever heard," you say, interrupting your friend with a scoff. They smile, shaking their head at you.
-
When you return to your dorm after all your classes, you find a small gift bag hanging on the door knob to your room. Curious, you pick it up and notice it has your name written on the side.
You could recognize that handwriting from a mile away.
As if it's the side of a hot pan, you drop it, watching its contents spill to the ground. A pack of your favourite snack falls out, along with a neatly handwritten note, a CD player and earphones.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to look, you tell yourself.
Picking everything up and walking into your room, you sit on your bed and read the note over.
[y/n]!! ah, it doesn't make sense for me to be cute or excited in this note, does it? >.< please forgive me.... i'm a little nervous... here is that snack that you've always loved... do you still love it now, too? and here is something that i wrote for you~it's on the CD. just press play and i'll let the song do the talking... i wrote this after you disappeared.
- yedam
This song better be god tier if he's coming to leave it at my door, you think to yourself.
As the song fills your ears, it seems to fill your empty heart too. You can tell it's full of Yedam's sincere feelings and thoughts... or he's just doing a good job of acting while singing. You can't seem to tell, but you still tear up a little.
You hear the door to your room swing open, as your friend, who also happens to be your roommate, barges in.
"What are you up to?" they ask, placing some things on their desk. They turn around immediately when they hear you sniffling.
"ARE YOU CRYING?" they shout, sitting beside you and wrapping their arms around you.
"This... song... Yedam..." you croak, just handing them the earphones.
When they listen to it, they also go quiet.
"It sounds really sincere..." your friend tells you, quietly.
"I'm not the only one who feels that way?" you ask your friend, looking at them.
"You know him better than I do, so you're probably right," they tell you, standing up.
"Why did this boy have to show up and make a mess of my life again," you groan, hiding your face in your hands.
"Well, I have just the solution! I know you're probably going to think about him and not get any work done anyway, so should we just go to a party?!" your friend tells you, jumping up and down.
"A party?" you wrinkle your nose in disgust.
"It'll help you stop thinking about him! Please, we never went to any parties last year!! Let's go, just this once!" they beg.
After thinking it over, you agree. What's the worst that could happen?
-
Wearing one of your favourite fits and feeling good, you walk alongside your friend, who already has a groove in their step as the two of you make your way to the house where the party is set to be held. It isn't that hard to find, since you're just following the bright lights and loud music in the distance. It's a wonder the people in that house aren't being arrested for causing such a ruckus...
Finally there, you step inside and try not to bump into any weird people. The music is so loud its deafening, and you shrivel up at the sound of it. Your friend wraps their arm around you, pulling you in close and guiding you to the snack/drink area so you can take what you need and go to a quieter place.
Your friend did beg you to come today, so they won't force you to dance or do any things you don't want to do...
Now equipped with everything you need, you make your way to the basement, where it's a lot quieter despite being so busy.
"How's this for a change?" your friend asks you, grooving along to the distant sound of the music from upstairs.
"It seems like you want to dance," you tell your friend.
They shake their head.
"I'll stay with you toniiiiiight!" they cheer, hugging you tightly. You laugh.
"It's fine, just go up! The crowd doesn't seem too scary or weird down here," you tell them as you watch two people play mario kart in front of a TV.
After asking you 1000 times if it's really okay, they leave you there with a drink in your hand. You continue watching the two people playing mario kart, secretly rooting for the boy in orange because his fit looks really nice, even if you're only looking from the back.
He ends up losing and you let out a "noooo!" loud enough for the two to hear. When they turn around, you discover that the boy in orange had been Yedam all along!
I take back rooting for him... he deserved to lose!
Widening your eyes at the sight of him, you quickly turn away and try to navigate your way towards another room. To your surprise, as soon as you walk in, Yedam is in there, holding the door open at the other end and panting.
"[y/n]," he calls out softly, smiling slightly. You can tell he's testing the waters and wondering how to react.
You try to walk out of the room, but the door behind you has been shut by some drunken idiot! He's pressed up against the frame and no matter how much you push, the door just won't open.
"[y/n], if you want to leave, it's okay. I don't want to bother you," Yedam tells you, stepping aside from the other door and motioning for you to walk through.
You sigh.
"No, it's fine. I guess we're here for a reason now, or something," you mumble, sliding down the wall until you're in a comfortable sitting position.
Yedam smiles, closing the door behind him.
"Still caught up in all that destiny stuff?" he asks you, joining you in sitting on the ground but also keeping his distance.
You scoff in response. How does this kid remember everything about me?
"So... what are you doing in my house?' he asks you.
"Your.... house?"
"Yeah, this is my house. You didn't know?" he asks you, looking bewildered.
You think about your friend. They must have brought you here while knowing it was Yedam's house...
"Um... nevermind that. How... have you been?" Yedam asks you, wringing his hands.
"Me? I've been doing great until now. How about you?" you spit out your words sarcastically, but Yedam doesn't seem to mind.
"I've been... well... I'm not sure. It would be cheesy for me to say I've been feeling lost without you, but that's kind of how it is," he tells you, chuckling nervously.
"Yeah, super cheesy. It also doesn't make sense, Yedam," you tell him, avoiding his eyes.
"I know it doesn't, but to me it does. I know our relationship was a mess, but those times that we spent together were... something else. Probably some of the best times of my life, honestly," he tells you.
"And why... are you telling me this?" you ask him, curious to see how he'll respond.
"Because I know I'm in the wrong and there's no excuse for my past childishness, but... I've missed you. And I still do. I know I was really caught up in my reputation back then and I didn't open myself up to you properly, but I want to do that now."
He runs his fingers through his hair, and something inside you turns. You didn't realize just how much you loved it when Yedam did that until now... he looks so pretty--
No. What are you thinking?!
"I haven't missed you though, Yedam," you say.
He smiles sadly.
"I know. And there's no reason for you to. But I'm just... asking for a second chance in case you think there's anything left."
You gulp and look up at the ceiling. You hadn't even considered the possibility of dating Yedam again, but talking with him now is different. He's less cautious and seems to be a lot more comfortable with you.
Someone knocks on the door behind Yedam and Yedam tells them to come in.
"Oh, am I interrupting?" the boy asks, slowly backing away.
"It's fine, I'm just talking to [y/n]," Yedam says with a smile, gesturing towards you. You greet the boy and his eyes light up.
"[y/n]?! The one you always tell me about? Gosh... it's so nice to meet you!" the boy says, shaking your hand and sitting down in front of you.
"You put up with a lot of Yedam's antics, I've heard," he says, laughing. Yedam laughs along, but you're still in shock.
Yedam had never told anyone about you... but now this random boy knows everything?
"It was more than antics. I was... really bad to [y/n]. I'm surprised they haven't left yet," Yedam admits, leaning back.
"I transferred to your old high school after you transferred out, and this boy was always sad. He didn't talk to anyone but me, only because the teacher asked him to show me around. He told me everything about you and eventually told the rest of his friends, too. You were his biggest and only heartbreak... I swear everyone at our school knows about you," the boy explains.
"What did you tell them?" you ask Yedam.
"He told us how he had been dating you in secret because he was afraid to ruin his popularity, but that he regrets it a lot. A lot of his friends left him after finding out you dated Yedam," the boy explains. Yedam nods along.
You're in shock. The boy who was so secretive and insecure exposed himself as a heartbreaker?
"Anyways, I'm sorry to be interrupting. I'll leave now!" the boy says, standing up and closing the door behind him.
"You... told everyone?" you ask Yedam. He nods.
"I feel like it was the only thing I could do for you. You deserved to be known as the one who held my heart," he says, holding his chest and laughing at his own cheesy words.
You find yourself laughing along and loosening up.
A moment of silence stretches between the two of you, and Yedam breaks it by standing up.
"Do you wanna play mario kart with me? You seemed to be having fun watching," Yedam asks you quietly.
You nod, also standing up.
The two of you play for about an hour, screaming and yelling at the TV just like you used to in your bedroom when you'd play games together.
"I won!" you declare in glee, turning to Yedam to do your signature high five with him. His hands meet yours, and you only realize what you're doing only after its already happened. You awkwardly move your hands away, facing the screen again.
"I'm sorry..." you mumble.
"No, I'm sorry! It's really okay, [y/n]... if you feel uncomfortable around me, you don't have to--"
"Your song touched me a lot, Yedam. And now I feel like... I want to try again. Just like this game," you say, pointing to the screen that has try again written in the corner.
"Are you sure?" he asks you, slowly.
You nod, deciding you've made up your mind. You've seen a lot of green flags already -- enough to decide that it's okay to move forward.
Yedam smiles and looks down at his lap. Then his head lifts up quickly, his eyes lighting up.
"I can take you to that café you always wanted to go! They have one in this city... and there's a museum next to it too! Do you want to go there? I.."
As he continues talking, you realize that all of the things he's saying he wants to do were things that you never did with Yedam, even after one year of dating him. It was always stay-at-home dates and ignore-each-other-when-we're-at-school. Somehow, you feel excited, wondering what things will be like.
"[y/n]! I've been looking everywhere for--oh, Yedam? Hi!" your friend greets you both.
"Did you have fun dancing?" you ask them. They nod, pointing to Yedam with their eyes.
You get up and whisper into your friend's ear.
"We have a lot to talk about, but I think..."
Your friend doesn't even wait for you to finish before they say, "well, I have to leave early now. Yedam, can you walk [y/n] home? Great, thanks!"
With that, they disappear and you shake your head at your friend's strange behaviour.
Yedam is all smiley while still sitting on the ground.
"Do I get to walk you home now?" he asks you, standing up.
"I wonder what would've happened if you walked me home that day, too..." you mumble, thinking about the day you slept over at Yedam's in the same bed as him.
"What, do you want to sleep over today, too?" he asks you.
You shake your head.
"I don't want things to turn out like that again."
"You mean, you don't want me to kiss you like I did then?" Yedam teases you, sending you a wink.
"You--shut up!" you yell, chasing after him with a pillow.
This boy literally broke my heart, you think to yourself. He is testing his limits...
After you both calm down, Yedam walks you home. It's a little quiet at first, until Yedam speaks.
"Can... I hold your hand?" he asks you.
"This soon?" you say, still grabbing his hand anyway. He looks down at your hand in his and smiles.
"Yeah... you don't know how long I've been wanting to do this for," he admits, swinging your arm up and down as you walk.
You shake your head at him.
"Let's run!" Yedam declares, racing forward with your hand in his. You trail behind him, the sound of laughter escaping your lips and ringing in Yedam's ears. It leaves a bright blush on his face as he thinks to himself about how much he's missed your laughter.
The two of you slow down, panting.
"I'm so tired," Yedam wheezes, laughing at how weird he sounds.
"Do you want me to kiss it better?" you tease him. He raises his eyebrows at the comment. Maybe it's the adrenaline from all the running or the feeling of the night air, but a courage surges through you as you snake your hand around the back of his head and pull him towards you, pressing his warm lips to yours.
You pull away shortly after, feeling breathless again. A blush dusts Yedam's cheeks as he stares at you with wide eyes.
Your own stomach is full of butterflies, but you ignore it and walk forward.
"Are you not coming?" you yell to the boy behind you. He laughs and chases after you.
